Welcome to Hollow Shades

As Twilight and her friends walked through the streets of Hollow Shades, she couldn't help but feel the excitement in the air. A few weeks earlier, Princess Celestia had picked Hollow Shades to hold this years Summer Sun Festival, much to the delight of the townsponies, and to Twilight when she had asked her and her friends to help set up the preparations.

"Oooooo I'm so excited! This is gonna be the bestest best celebration EVER!" Pinkie exclaimed as she  hopped beside her friends.

"I agree, Pinkie. Who would've guessed that Princess Celestia picked us to help prepare the town. I say that the decorations are just marvelous to the ones the mayors office had." Rarity said, looking at the various green, gold, and orange decorations that lined the buildings. "I daresay, these decorations were the most difficult pieces of fabric I've had to create since our Gala dresses."

"They are very beautiful, Rarity." Fluttershy commented. "I just hope the animals will be able to enjoy them as much as everypony else."

"That would be nice Flutters, if there were any animals here." Rainbow Dash said, lazily flying next to her friends. "I haven't seen a single animal since we got here."

"Ah have been meanin' to ask about that too. Seems like they're spooked or somethin." Applejack said as they entered the marketplace.

"I don't know. The only animals that I've met are the birds I've been training. And all they said was that it didn't feel safe."

"That does seem a bit o-" Twilight was interrupted by a loud scream and multiple shouts. The six friends bolted towards the sounds, only to find a collapsed cart and multiple ponies trying to lift it. "What happened?!" Twilight asked the nearest pony.

"One of the wheels gave out and trapped somepony under it. Noponies been able to lift it. Not even our unicorns."

"Do you know who it is."

"one of the kids and his mother."

Twilights face turned serious as she surveyed the situation. "Alright. Rainbow, Fluttershy, get some ropes and tie them around the top of the carriage. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, put your backs under the front and back. Rarity and I will try to lift it with a levitation spell." Each of the girls nodded and quickly did what they were told, positioning themselves. "Alright, on the count of three. One. Two. Three!" The six friends pulled and pushed simultaneously, but the cart remained the same. "Again!" They did the same thing, but still got the same result.

"It just won't budge!" Rainbow shouted as she and Fluttershy pulled again on their ropes.

"What are we going to do?!" Fluttershy said, her voice heavy with worry.

"I don't know!" Twilight said as she started to feel the effects of magical exhaustion.

When any hope for lifting the cart seemed worthless, a deep crimson aura surrounded the cart, causing it to groan. In a matter of minutes, the cart had been lifted off the trapped child and mother, and out of the way.

"B-but how!" Twilight stammered as she looked frantically around for the unicorn that had lifted the cart. After a few minutes of searching, she finally spotted a a single cloaked pony standing away from the crowd. When the unknown savior was spotted, the pony gasped and galloped away. "Wait! Come back!" Twilight exclaimed as she went after the cloaked pony.
