Fallout Equestria: Jubilee
The dream started exactly like the hundreds of other times his mind forced him to replay the events.
It began on the same spot every time, where the young version of him stood on a rocky outcropping next to a small waterfall overlooking his friends, who were all together swimming in the pond below. All of his friends took the jump before him with cheers, screams, and joy. This pegasus however, was afraid to take the ten foot plunge to the water below.
"C'mon Jubilee, you vagina! Jump in!" screamed the red maned, white coat earth pony named Rose Petal at the top of her lungs.
"Its pretty high!" Jubilee yelled in absolute fear. The young Pegasus looked down again, and could of sworn he would be passing through a couple of cloud cities on the way down.
The other six in the water screamed along with Rose Petal. "Chicken!" and "Jubicluck!" were among the names he was called.
Ugh, fine! Jubilee thought to himself.
Against every grain of his young body, he went into a full gallop to the edge and then leaped at the last possible second. He felt the liberating sensation of the air pushing on him on the way down. The young Pegasus curled himself into a ball and held on tight, to ensure a big splash. A sense of pride rushed over him when he felt the rush of ice cold water and the sound of a loud boom entering the water.
Ha, can't wait to see her stupid face when I did it, Jubilee thought in pride.
Jubilee appeared from the water in a shivering, but prideful smile. "You see guys!? I did it! and..." his friends weren't looking at him. They were looking in the direction of their small village that resided near the edge of Equestria.
*BOOM*
This time, the explosion also had smoke in the direction they were looking at. The small fillies and colts looked at each other with intense fear. The biggest one of the group, another earth pony who everyone called "Porky" was the first to swim out of the pond and started going in a full gallop back to the village. The others joined him in hot pursuit.
As soon as Jubilee reached land, he began to make his sprint. His sprint was stopped by Rose Petal biting his wings tan wings. "Don't go Jubilee! I have a bad feeling about this!" she pleaded.
"I have to go! my mom and dad are there!" Jubilee screamed as he wiggled his small wings to get them out of her mouth. They both hoofed it as hard as they can, eventually reaching the main group of fillies and colts running along the forested dirt road towards the town. The smoke coming from the town became larger and larger as they got closer. Gunshots, laser, and plasma rounds were being added into the mix with even more explosions. The group of eight fillies and colts got closer and closer to the town; but immediately stopped to see the horror on the side of the road: The town's sheriff was dead. The former Sheriff's face was unrecognizable by the blast of whatever he took. Other than that, his body was still intact. The ground surrounding the once handsome face that made all the mares loved was covered in a thick pool of blood and clumps of hair and brain tissue.
The young ones stood in fear, but eventually they crept into the town. The carnage there was even worse: limbs were strewn across the ground, ponies laying on the ground trying to feel their lower half of the body, only to realize either that part was vaporized or were a few feet from where they were supposed to be. What terrified the children more where the Zebras. The Zebras were heavily armored, and there were only four of them out in the open, shooting at anything that moved. The Zebras stood in the main square, assured that everyone in the town were neutralized.
The fillies and colts crawled through the twisted bodies and the obliterated wooden market stalls in the main square, trying to crawl their way towards the other side of town and hopefully deeper into Equestria, where they were told to go in school in case something went wrong in the village. The fillies and colts were basically in the clear, even with the few times they almost were discovered. Luck seemed to be on their side. The group was in the clear, until one of the smaller fillies looked back and something caught her eye: her mother and father laying motionless on the ground near the Zebras. The group tried to stop her, but she didn't listen. The small, tan filly ran out in the open towards her lifeless parents. The Zebras noticed the filly, and fired their plasma mounts at her. The small filly turned around and headed back to the group screaming for help.
"I don't want to die!" she screamed before a plasma beam got her on her rump, and disintegrated on the spot. The rest of the fillies decided to make a break for the other side of town, while the Zebras gave chase. The Zebras chose not fire unless they had a clear shot. The fillies decided to split up. Jubilee, Rose Petal, and Porky were in one group.
"Guys, we need to hide!" Porky screamed, as they ran into a random house and hid. For five minutes, they heard the screams of their friends and those screams being silenced by plasma rounds. As soon as the silence fell, Rose Petal began to sob. Jubilee nuzzled her neck, because trying to do the same with his wing would be of no use, since they weren't fully developed yet.
"I think they forgot about us. We can still make it to Canterlot. We just need to be quiet this time," Porky observed, hoping they all wouldn't meet the same fate as their friends. Jubilee and Rose Petal nodded as they snuck out of the house and began to quickly but quietly gallop to the edge of town. All three of them hid behind a barrel and looked at the forest surrounding the town. Between them and freedom was the fifteen yards of open grass that surrounded the town.
Porky walked out to the open, and looked to his left, and then his right, before turning to the two scared ponies. "C'mon guys, lets go," he said in a relieved smile. Jubilee and Rose Petal were about to make their way to him, until they noticed a giant metal cylinder landing underneath Porky's belly. Jubilee and Rose Petal had to look away as Porky disappeared into a pink and red mist, leaving a giant goop of flesh, bone, and blood where large earth colt once stood.
Covered in what was left of their friend, the two turned back right into the town. This time however, only one zebra was on their tail. This Zebra fired as it went, slowing it down and giving the fillies time to run into Jubilee's house undetected. They were trying to catch their breath as soon as they locked the door behind them, trying to not freak out over what just happened.
Rose Petal looked up and sat white in fear. Jubilee looked to the spooked earth filly. "Whats the matter Rose Petal?" the pegasus asked. Rose Petal continued to look at what was in front of her, which Jubilee decided to do the same. What he saw was two piles of ash on the seats where his parents were when he left to go to the pond with his friends. He knew it was them because on top of one of the piles was his mom's marriage band on a gold chain that she had around her neck. He couldn't move. There was no emotion, no sadness, and no feeling. He felt as if his life was sucked from him.
"Jubilee, please. We need to go," Rose Petal pleaded as Jubilee was still frozen. Even when a Zebra blew down the kitchen door across from them. It didn't even made him wince. What finally brought Jubilee to his senses was seeing the Zebra taking aim to Rose Petal, his friend since they were foals, his friend that he kept wanting to tell how he felt for her. Her magenta eyes were wide eyed and afraid. Jubilee ran to her without thought and shoved Rose Petal out of the zebra's aim, causing Rose Petal to slide across the floor and stopping with a loud 'thump' against the wall.. They looked at each other for a split second before Jubilee looked to the Zebra and accepted his fate before him. "Jubilee! NO!" Rose Petal screamed as Jubilee closed his eyes for the last time and heard the crack of a gun.
