Rainbow Dash meets Slender Mane

Rainbow Dash suddenly woke up from a terrifying nightmare- not that it scared her, haha. She blinked a couple of times and noticed she was in the middle of a dark forest and laying on the dirty earth. It seemed familiar to her. Then she realized she was in the Everfree Forest.

Buck, she thought. She didn't know how she got there but she suddenly got the feeling that she shouldn't be in there at this time. She got up, flapped her wings and started flying. I have to get out of here, she thought.

Hours passed and Rainbow was still flying in the Everfree Forest. She started to feel scared- no! She was Rainbow Dash! She could handle anything! She suddenly saw something move in the trees beside her. Okay, she was starting to get scared even though she's one of the bravest ponies that ever lived. Then she heard a twig snap and she jumped in surprise. Her heart pounding, she increased in flying speed. "Show yourself! No pony messes with Rainbow Dash!" she yelled, angrily as her ears went flat against her head in pure terror.

Rainbow Dash noticed a white piece of paper on a tree ahead of her. She flew in front of the tree, spying the piece of paper. She didn't know that something else was spying, spying on her. She read the message:

Dashie laughed. "Ha, real funny Pinkie," she giggled. But no pony answered. Dash was once again angry. "SHOW YOURSELF! I'll have you know that I'm the fastest flier in all of Equestria! I don't need to run anyway! I'm not scared" she cried. Then she sensed something was behind her. She slowly turned around and screamed so loud that all of the Everfree Forest could of woken up. Behind her stood a tall, slender pony. He had nothing on his face as if it was a blank sheet of paper. He wore a black suit and a red tie. His cutie mark was a circle that was crossed out.

Shaking, Rainbow Dash pulled a fighting pose. "W-well. C-come g-g-get some," she said. Then she could take it no longer and flew away as fast as she could. She managed to zoom away so fast that she created a sonic rainboom, waking up the whole forest and brightening it up. She quickly glanced back and saw Slender Mane staring up at her. "B-bye!" Dashie shouted and flew out of sight.

Fifteen minutes passed and Rainbow glanced behind her. Slender was no where to be seen. She sighed and flew to the ground and started trotting because her wings were tired out. Then she suddenly tripped over a rock and she fell over. Her face went SMACK! On the dirt earth. She lifted her head up and sat back. She shed a tear at the thought that she wouldn't be able to get out of the Everfree Forest and back to her friends. Especially when she was left with that creepy monster that kept stalking her. She got up, still shaking and trotted in a different direction. She realized to late that she had started trotting at the edge of a cliff.

"AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!" She yelled as she slipped and almost fell down the cliff and if it wasn't for her clever gripping hooves that hung on to a stiff plant that was at the edge of the cliff she would of fallen to her scary death. She flapped her wings and had a annoying thought. Why didn't I use my wings to fly up so high so I could of spotted where Ponyville is?! Then two rocks fell on her back. She cried out in pain as they fell off her. She flapped her wings again which sent a fierce pain in her back. The two rocks had slammed on her wings and they were now broken. "H-help! Somepony! Anypony! I need HHHEEEEELLLLPPP!!!!!" she cried. No pony answered and then she saw something approaching her. She shrieked as she saw Slender Mane trotting towards her. This is it, she thought sadly. She shed a few tears as she realized she'd have to either fall to her death or be killed by this beast. She decided she would let him demolish her. Falling would be way to scary.

Slender Mane reached out a hoof and he bent down. Rainbow was puzzled. What is he doing? Is he trying to save me? She thought in disbelief. It was true. Slender was trying his best to pull her up only she wouldn't take his hoof. He seemed to be getting impatient. I know! I'll run away before he kills me. I just need to be pulled up, Dash thought. She bravely reached up and took hold of his hoof. He very carefully pulled her up and as soon as he let go of her she galloped off. She did not realize that Slendy was trying to help her and keep her safe instead of killing her...

Slowing down to a trot since she had been galloping for half an hour, Rainbow Dash fell on the floor. She was so cold, tired and hungry. She'd give anything to be with her friends, sitting next a warm fireplace and chatting. She started sobbing her heart out and felt empty. She got up and carried on trotting, tears still wetting her cheeks. Slender Mane teleported in the trees and saw her sobbing. He didn't like to see the rainbow mare so upset which made him want to cry, only he couldn't since the lack of having no eyes. He wanted to trot up to her and comfort her but he knew that she'd think he was gonna kill her. But he didn't want to at all. He knew what it was like being alone, with no one out there to comfort you. Slender Mane knew he couldn't just show himself to her. But he had to do something.
