The Forgotten Bridgeby MidnightRainChaptersWaking UpThe BridgeHalf World, Half FantasyLet's Get ReadyTemple Of FearEndingWaking Up (Again)Waking Up She flinched. Twilight Sparkle rolled over, opening one eye expecting to see the sunshine outside her bedroom window. She didn't see the sunshine. She wasn't even in the library. She was in a grassy field, in the middle of nowhere, at nighttime, and probably not even in Equestria. To add icing on the cake, she had no memory. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't seem to remember anything before she woke up. She stood up slowly, pushing herself up on all four hooves. 'Keep it together, Twilight,' she thought to herself. ‘You’re probably just dreaming. Yes, dreaming!’ She was still asleep at the library, waiting for Spike to wake her up for breakfast. She sat down and closed her eyes. After a few seconds, Twilight re-opened her eyes and was still in the middle of nowhere. 'No! I- but, this is just a dream! I can't be here, I was... Where was I before I woke up?' She thought. First she was freaking out and now she has no memory. She repeated closing her eyes and reopening them and with each time and receiving the same result, she got more frightened. Twilight sat there and began to cry. ~~~ Twilight woke for the second time, sniffling as she sat up. She sat and tried to remember how she got there. She turned to her left, and sighed. She could not seem to remember anything before she woke up for the first time that night. Twilight didn't know what to do. She started sniffling, lost in her own thoughts. After a few seconds of silence, Twilight lay back down and closed her eyes. ~~~ Twilight woke for the third time that same night. She started wondering why it was staying nighttime for that long, but that was a small thought in the back of her mind, covered by the ones she was currently thinking. She had to keep calm and make the best of it. From some of the many books she read, she got up to go search for some small rocks. She then made it back to where she woke up and arranged them into a small circle. She gathered some dry sticks from under the trees of a nearby forest. Wait. A forest? That wasn't there the last time she woke. Oh well. She stacked the sticks neatly into the circle of stones and will a small spark from her horn, started a fire for her to stay warm. She halfheartedly poked at the fire, tending every so often so it wouldn't go out. Twilight then started thinking of her fireplace back home, where she read a book on cold winter days. Oh how she wished she had a book right then. She wanted her bed, her friends. She wanted to see Spike and Ponyville. She was getting homesick. She wished she could remember what was going on. “Goodnight, Ponyville.” She whispered as she fell asleep a fourth time. ~~~ She coughed. Twilight opened her eyes, and after seeing she was still out in the wilderness, just closed her eyes again. That’s when she felt somepony was watching her. She glanced around, not seeing anything. Then it happened. She was in the middle of a war. She saw soldiers dying left and right. She saw the guns and the canons. She was afraid, but nopony seemed to notice her. As if she wasn't even there. She closed her eyes, terrified as she was. She wanted to see the field again. Everything faded and disappeared. She was breathing heavily and tears were forming in her eyes. ‘What the buck was that!?’ She thought. She slowed her breathing and continued her sleep. From what she heard, ‘All great minds need great rest.’ She closed her eyes a fourth time and seconds after, fell into a deep sleep. ~~~ Again as always it was still nighttime. Twilight shifted in her sleep, but not waking up, yet. In the forest deer and other creatures came in and out, ignoring the purple unicorn on the ground. She didn't know what to do. She didn't think of anything the multiple times she woke. Then it occurred to her. Why not look around for something that will help you remember. Twilight opened her eyes slowly. Why hadn't she thought of it before? She looked to the north, to the south, and to the east. Her last option of seeing something was in the west. She stood up and slowly turned around. A wave of relief flowed through her body. There in the distance, a light glowed through the grassy area. It covered a good amount of the hill it was coming from. Twilight was so happy at that moment. She had finally had a chance to get out of there. She stood up, brushed herself off, and walked towards the hill. ~~~ Along the way she saw beautiful flowers and herbs that Zecora could only dream of having. Twilight only wished she could bring some back to her zebra friend. From time to time, she sat and rested for her long journey to the hill. She wondered there, if the light was recently there when she woke for the fourth time, for the light wasn't there the other times. Twilight stood up again and kept going. She was happy that whomever the light belonged to would help her. As she walked on, she then remembered the war scene she had seen earlier that night. What was the cause of it? It simply was not real was all she could know was true. Twilight sat down again to rest her aching hooves. Man was the hill far away. Sweet Celestia it felt like hours she was walking, but only to know it had only been half an hour. Finally, she was going to get home. She was going to tell her friends of the crazy night she had wherever she was. Twilight reached the hill. Holy cow it was steeper than it looked from a distance. After about ten minutes of strain to get to the top, she finally was ready to greet the ponies which who the light belonged to. No. The light did not belong to a pony. The light was a series of lamps lighting a path to a tree line. Twilight curiously followed the stone path to the trees. She tripped at the edge of the trees, but when she stood up, saw an amazing sight. A beautiful river with all sorts of plats around and crossing high above it, an amazing old bridge covered in wines and moss leading into a hill side. As Twilight sighed, she made her way towards her new destination. The Bridge Twilight now stood in front of the bridge and the detail was amazing. Carvings of flowers and plants surrounded the start of the bridge. Beautiful plats wrapped all around it like a miniature jungle. The bridge was about thirty feet long and about five feet across so it was a standard hoof bridge. Not to mention the arches underneath creating little boat ways for ponies to get past. It was like a whole summer in one bridge. The vines that hung off the sides just set the mood as a peaceful getaway. Twilight walked onto the cold stone to the center and looked over the side. The water gleamed and glistened under Luna’s moonlight. Oh how beautiful it all was. All the lights made it look like a Hearth’s Warming Eve and the little flowers on the railing. She tripped. Twilight brought herself to her hooves. She was admiring all the scenery, she hadn’t notice she reached the end of the bridge. Twilight got a look of surprise. It wasn’t the hill that surprised her, it was the small cottage that now sat in front of her. She walked slowly to the home. The lights were on inside and smoke came from the chimney, so she thought that somepony was home. She walked up to the door and knocked. “Hello? Anypony home? Sorry to bother you at such a late hour, but I seem to be lost and I’m having trouble remembering how I got here.” She said. She knocked again and waited. Nothing. Then, before she could knock again, the door creaked open. Nopony was home. She walked inside and smiled wide. Books! Twilight ran up to the bookcases and looked at the titles. Most of them Twilight had back at the library, but some she had never seen. Twilight then noticed a small tome of a table. It was a journal. “Journal of Jonathan H. Smith, 1728?” she whispered. The year then surprised her. 1728!? This house and that bridge are two hundred, eighty-five years old? Then by her normal nature, opened the book and began reading. August 12, 1728 The war was finally over. All the years of pain and sorrow, the enemy had retreated. I was so happy to live life again at the fullest, but my dear father was one to fall. I had cried all night in my mother’s arms. She too would die of old age, but we will get by until it happens. August 13, 1728 Today, they started building a bridge in memory of the dead. It was a beautiful sight to see when it was finished. So by permission of the mayor, I built my home on the other side to stay near my beloved father. August 14, 1728, Mother visited me at my new home to wish me well. We talked, we ate, we cried. I enjoyed every minute. Of joy and of happiness. Twilight closed the book. She had tears in her eyes from the sad entries she had read. She then found, thankfully, a sack of apples. Why they had not gone bad over the years, Twilight doesn’t know, but she was satisfied by the fruit. She walked around the house and soon came upon the bedroom. Sitting in the corner, was a soft, comfy bed. She lay down, turned to her side and fell asleep. ~~~ Twilight woke up, happy to see it was finally daytime. She ate another apple and trotted out side. She saw beautiful waterfalls she hadn’t noticed the night before and decided to sit on the edge of the river and dip her hooves in. As she sat there she noticed something odd. One of the waterfalls didn’t seem like a waterfall. It seemed more like a stream coming from out of the side of a cliff. Twilight went to investigate. She stood in front of it and then noticed light coming from behind. There were stairs behind it leading to a small cave. Sitting in the center of the cave, a table sat with a piece of paper on top of it. She slowly walked towards it and read the words that made her shiver with fear. GO NOW! THE BRIDGE ISN’T WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS! IT’S A- The rest of the letter was missing. Ripped right at the end. Twilight quickly turned and ran towards the stair. When she was out she ran across the bridge and back onto the trail. She ran down the hill and didn’t stop until she reached the spot where she woke up the night before. Twilight breathed heavily trying to slow her speeding heart. She looked around her body to make sure she wasn’t cut of bruised. She sat there terrified from what she saw. She wanted to go home. She wanted to see her friends, she wanted to hug the Princess to get the comfort she needed. Twilight rested her heart and thought of the bridge. It was a sort of danger, but didn’t know what kind. It looked like a beautiful bridge that you would see anywhere in Equestria. She sat down and started crying. Twilight woke up to the smell of food. She lifted her nose and inhaled. It was definitely food. She looked around, trying to find the source. Then she saw it. A small cobblestone house sat at the edge of the forest. It wasn’t there before unless its occupant was asleep the night before and the lights were off, but she now had a full view of it. Twilight stood up and started walking to the home. It was her last chance to see another pony. When she reached the home, she heard humming inside. There was definitely somepony in there. She found the front door and then stopped. What if it was a trick? She thought of what to do before she finally knocked. “Hello?” She called out. The door opened within a few moments. There a stallion about her age stood in front of her. He was a deep red with moderately dark red eyes. He was a unicorn and he wore a vest and a black hoof band on his left fore hoof. “Hello.” He repeated. Half World, Half Fantasy Twilight stared at the stallion. Should she just say she was travleing or should she tell him her problem. "Um, I'm lost and I don't know how I got here." The stallion looked at her and then waved her in. "Ok, tell me what's going on." ~~~ "So what your saying is that you woke up in that field over there, with no memory, and found a bridge that seems like a danger?" The stallion asked. Twilight nodded. "Yep, that's pretty much spot on." The stallion sat and pondered on what Twilight had said. All Twilight could do was just sit and wait for him to talk. Then scilence was broken when the stallion said "Mind showing me this bridge?" The stallion asked. Twilight sighed and nodded. She didn't want to go back, but she needed all the help she could get. The two stood in front of the bridge, but only one admiring the detail. "It sure is an amazing bridge, but where is it you found that note?" Twilight had him follow her to the house and showed him the odd waterfall. The stallion, who's name was Midnight, took both the book and the note and the pair walked back to his home. After Midnight had read both, he found something amazing. "Here as it says 'leave now, the bridge isn' what it seems. It is a' and then stops, I have found new evidence. It is a trick. That house was not built in the 1700's, heck it wasn't even there. It was all an illusion. As for the diary, it is someponies alright, but this part about the war and bridge was manually written, or added. It never existed." Midnight concluded. Twilight, on the other hoof, was shocked. It was all a trick. How was it all a trick?! Tears were forming in her eyes when Midnight looked around outside. "No." He said. Twilight got up to see what he was looking at. It was the war scene Twilight had witnessed the night before. Ponies fell form left to right. Guns and canons fired. It was a blood bath. The scene then shifted to the construction of a familiar looking bridge and house. Midnight and Twilight walked outside. That's when the scariest part happed. "You think I am illusion, a trick. Your both right and wrong. I was built for memory, but I am tricking you. As you can tell, Miss Sparkle here has no memory. Illusion of reality brought her here. As for Mr Midnight, I have no idea how you got here, but it is again illusion of reality. Fantasy is now slowly taking over and I don't think you will be able to stop it. Good bye, little fools." And with that everything just went silent. Everything tuened back to normal and quiet. Twilight and Midnight on the other hoof, were sitteding on the ground, hugging eachother while shaking with the look of fear on both of there faces. After snapping back to reality, they stood up, both blushing, and tried to slow there heart's down. This was a scary occassion. Twilight woke up in a field at nighttime, found a bridge that turned out to be dangerous, and now encountered the scariest part of the problem. A disembodied voice had talked to them. There was only one thing to do that Midnight had happily agreed on. They had to stop fantasy from taking over reality. It was time to put a stop to this nightmare. Reality has officially declared war on fantasy. Let's Get Ready Previously on the Forgotten Bridge She flinched. Twilight Sparkle woke up, finding herself in an open field. She was in the middle of nowhere probably not in Equestria. "Where am I?" Twilight thought. She couldn't remember how she got there. She couldn't remember. She had no memory. Twilight sat down, rested her head on her hooves, and cried herself to sleep. The bridge was amazing. Magnificent detail, beautiful designs, and all the lights lighting it up like Hearths Warming Eve. She tripped. She was so busy admiring the detail, she hadn't realized she reached the end. She stood up, now seeing a house in front of her. 'GO NOW! THE BRIDGE ISN'T WHAT IT SEEMS! IT'S A- Twilight gasped and ran out of the cave. She kept running. Across th bridge, down the path and back to where she woke up. She panted and tried to slow her breathing. She then notice a small brick home onthe edge of the forest. It was her last chance on finding another pony. That was the scariest part of the day. Fantasy had brought her here. Fantasy brought the bridge back. Fantasy had offically declared war on reality. Chapter 1: Let's Get Ready. Twilight Sparkle and Midnight Star tried there best to get over what had happened moments before. The fantasy world was taking over reality and it wasn't showing any signs of stopping. Twilight, on the other hoof, wanted to stop it. She wasn't going to let it win, not after what it put her through. She wanted to stop the main source of the cause. She had to- Oh dear. She had to stop the on creature she had feared as a filly. The one that brought fantasy and chaos worse than Discord himself. She had to stop... She fell backwards, suprising Midnight. "What's wrong? He asked. Twilight tried to slow her breathing, again, and stood up. "It's him." "Who?" "The one who scared me the most as a filly. Lunar Nightmare." Twilight stated. Midnight stood confused. "That one character from that horror story?" Twilight nodded. "I wouldn't expect a mare to read a horror novel." "I'm a librarian." Twilight said. Midnight decided not to argue, so he accepted the fact. Twilight tried to recall the said story. "Lunar Nightmare. Master of fantasy and horror beyond all thought. The one who destroyed ponies in his factory(Not the Rainbow Factory.) and used there ----- for chaos. Making puppets come to life, frightening little children so bad, they slept with there lights on for weeks." Twilight finished. Midnight took some time to take in all she had said. "But that's just an old ponytale." Midnight finally said. Twilight agreed but sad. " I know, but fantasy is the one who did all this. I mean everypony thought Nightmare Moon was and old ponytale, but she turned out to be real." "Point taken." Midnight stated. Twilight stood up and walked outside. She just wanted to go home she needed her friends- Her friends! Why didn't she think of this before? She could just call the Elements of Harmony and her friends could help her stop fantasy! Slowly, she called on her magic, it was confusing at first, but she was able to track them down. Ponyville was... five thousand miles away. Oh sweet Celestia, thank goodness she was still in Equestria. But with all the distance between her and Ponyville, it would take hours to get them by her side. She poured more magic into her horn and with a small pop, her magic created a small portal. One looking into the library. She couldn't walk through it, but she could pull things through it. She quickly pulled the familiar chest through and shut her magic off, closing the portal. Twilight put her tiara on and was ready to call onto her friends. Honesty. She held the element in front of her and with a spark, Applejack fell to the ground out of knowwhere. "Twi!" Applejack said. After looking around, her smile faded. "Twilight, where in the hay are we?" Twilight shook her head. "There's no time to explain. I need our friends help." Applejack just nodded and went to stand by Twilight. Generosity. Doing the same with the other element, Rarity fell where Applejack once stood. "Eewww. Oh how I simply despise dirt." Rarity grumbled. After the run down, Rarity sighed and stood next to her friends. Loyalty. Again with the sam spark, Rainbow Dash flew strait into the ground. "Hey, what gives? Twilight!" Rainbow said, seeing her unicorn friend. With the same rundown, Rainbow saluted and joined her friends. Laughter. Again with the same magic, Pinkie Pie smiled with delight as she fell to the ground. "Yay! It's Twilight! Where have you been?" Pinkie said. "Long story." Pinkie nodded and bounced over to her friends. And Kindness. With one final pop, Fluttershy fell to the ground. "W-where are we." Fluttershy asked. Twilight was more than ready to give the explanation. "I woke up in this field with no memory. I found an amazing bridge that turned out to be a danger. I met a stallion that lives nearby. We encountered a disembodied voice and now fantasy is trying to take over reality." Twilight said. They all seemed, strangely, to now what was going on. She was happy to see her friends again. She had so many questions of what had been going on in Ponyville since her disappearance. But all that had to wait. One thing sat in Twilights mind for that moment. It's time to get ready. Twilight led them to Midnight's house. "Who are they?" Midnight asked. Twilight let them in and gave the introduction. "Midnight, meet the Elements of Harmony." Temple Of FearMental Check-list: Camping Gear-Check Water-Check Food-Check Elements-Check Fighting Supplies-Check Twilight Sparkle checked off the final item with a relived sigh. It had been hours getting prepared for the battle, she was happy that everything was in order. But , Twilight couldn't help but notice that something seemed off. She didn't know what the out of place thing was, but it just lingered in her mind. Twilight helped get everything loaded up and when they finished, they headed towards there first destination: the bridge. Within about just two minutes, everypony was tired. When Twilight had first gone to the hill, it had been a long walk but short time, and know after an "illusion" had been lifted, the hill showed it's true distance. Of two hundred and fifty yards. When she calculated the distance, Twilight realized why she had gotten tired in short distances. The group took a rest, now one sixteenth of the way there. The water supply, however, when somepony(Miss Dash) kept draining there water bottle in ten seconds, Twilight put a refilling spell on all the bottles to ensure that there would still be enough water when the spell wore off. Twilight got a fire going and soon dinner was among the ponies. "Who knew cooking salad could actually be good." Rainbow commented. "Well, it's what’s inside the lettuce that kicks in the flavor when cooked. A small piece within the leafs body contains an amazing amount of flavor when cooked just right, so it gives the salad kick in its fla-" Twilight said, being cut off in the last part. "Shows nothing that bad happened to your brain when you got sent here." Rainbow muttered under her breath. "What was that?" Twilight asked. "Nothing." Dash replied, trying to sound innocent. After that, she had decided to just keep her mouth closed. After dinner, Twilight was able to get a radio connection to see what’s going on in Equestria. Breaking News- after the disappearance of Miss Twilight Sparkle, a young drake by the name of Spike told us that now the Elements of Harmony and their bearers have disappeared as well. Please, anyone with information of these strange occurrences, contact your local news station. Here is Cloudkicker with the weather. As the news went on, everyone sat silent. When everypony snapped back to reality, what they heard next was shocking. Today in Canterlot, a strange cloud has been sighted. Nopony knows what the strange cloud is but we will have the Cloudsdale Weather Team go up and check it all out. Back to you in the Studio. Fantasy was now spreading over Equestria. They needed to stop it before it let out its full true form. The sun was setting in the east, making way for the moon in the west. They set up tents and began to get settled in. Rarity somehow magically generated an air mattress for everypony after saying something about who in Equestria can stand sleeping on the ground. They doused the fire and quickly after, drifted off to sleep. Bump Bang Crash! Twilight woke up to the smell of breakfast. She got up from her place on the ground and walked out of the Tent which she was in. "Mornin' sugarcube." Applejack greeted. "Good morning Aj." Twilight replied back. Twilight looked about the scene and smiled. Five ponies wandered about and Twilight couldn't help but giggle at the pony who was absent. Of course, Rainbow was still dead asleep, unaware of her surroundings. But because they had to get to the bridge as quick as possible, Twilight used her best convincing voice. "Hey Rainbow come quick! It's the Wonderbolts and there looking for a new flyer!" Twilight said. As if on cue, Rainbow bolted out of bed. "Where! How’s my mane? Oh this is so-" Rainbow said before she noticed something. "Not cool, Twilight." "Sorry Rainbow, but we need to get there as soon as possible." Twilight said. After a "whatever" from Dash, the team finished their meals and packed up, ready to get to the bridge. As the last thing was packed, the team began their trek to the hill. Climbing up will be harder, but after everything Twilight had been through, she didn't care. After the lunch break, they finally reached the hill. Wait, it shouldn't be this easy. As if that was the magic word, the hill started morphing. Rockslides and flamethrowers, spikes, knives, arrows. Ok maybe it wasn't that easy. Rainbow piped up. "Oh man this'll be like Daring Do!" Rainbow went up and maneuvered through the trapped hill. In her one saying "Ten seconds flat", Rainbow was standing at the top of the hill, waiting for the others to get up. Rarity just walked up, Applejack stood next to Rainbow trying to pull and arrow out if her hat, Pinkie bounced up the hill as if it was nothing, Twilight was pulling a knife out of her saddlebags, and Midnight used a simple teleportation spell. That left Fluttershy at the bottom, too afraid to even get close. "I'm sorry, I can't do it." Fluttershy whimpered out. "Uh 'Shy, you are a Pegasus." Rainbow said. "Just fly over it." "Oh." Fluttershy said. After the team was the top, they were met with a familiar path(only familiar to Twilight and Midnight). They then passed the tree line and were now standing in front of the bridge. It had been transformed into a black, spiked hoof bridge instead of the old simple design it was before. It was stained with something red, but neither of them wanted to even guess that it was something all familiar to them. Where the house once stood, a small pyramid with rooms branching off both sides, similar in color to the bridge stood in its place. The Temple of Fear. The team walked across the bridge, only to meet another pony at the entrance to the temple. This pony was a stallion with his mane parted of to one side, in a deep purple color. His body was black and his eyes were red and on his flanks was a spiral with a knife stuck through it as his cutie mark. "Hello Miss Sparkle." The stallion said. "Lunar Nightmare, master of fantasy and terror." Twilight spit out. Lunar Nightmare laughed and began to speak again. "Oh it has been ever so long seeing Equestria. The first place to see terror and illusion. Oh what's wrong Twilight? Still afraid of me?" He said, showing fake sympathy. "Not anymore I'm not; the power in the Elements of Harmony will destroy you. Come on, girls; let's show him not to mess with Equestria." Twilight said. She waited for an answer. Lunar laughed. Not a happy laugh, more like an evil from a black heart kind of laugh. Twilight turned around to see her friends not responding. She looked in horror as their eyes changed from their regular colors to a deep, blood red. Their manes shifted from their normal selves into black spiked manes. Then there color changed from cheerful to a deep tombstone grey. They all walked over to their masters sides and stared at Twilight with devilish grins. Lunar lit his horn with magic and a cage was lowered down. "Oh what, these Elements of Harmony?" He laughed. All of her friends were sitting in the cage with terrified looks on their faces. Even Pinkies mane went flat. "What- how did you?" Twilight stuttered. "While all of you were sleeping, I ponynapped your beloved friends and use my minions to replace them. They acted the part so you didn't see the difference. Illusion is always at my side." He burst out into an evil laugh and his minions came at her and Midnight. "Oh-" To be continued Ending The team was ready to arrive at their first destination- the bridge itself. The hill morphed. It grew rockslides, spikes and knives. Flamethrowers, moving ground and swords. Twilight watched in horror as her friends changed shape and form. Their eyes turned red, their mane spiked and dark grey, their bodies black. The walked over to their master and smiled devilish smiles. Her friends looked at her in fear, not wanting her to get hurt. As her friends continued to look at her in fear, Lunar’s minion’s charged at Twilight… Just before the other ponies could touch her, Twilight teleported both she and Midnight back to the field. She would have teleported her friends too, but the cage they were in was magic proof. When they arrived at the field, Twilight had tears forming in her eyes. She left Midnight where he was and began walking. Twilight just walked back to where she woke up the very first time, lay down, closed her eyes, and began to cry. Twilight woke up. Midnight was right next to her, whipping away her tears, trying to comfort her the best he could. The field, however, looked different. It was multiple colors with warrior spears sticking out of the ground from place to place. The trees were pink and the sky was a deeper blue. It was now a world of fantasy. Twilight wanted to cry forever, but it didn't seem right. Twilight wanted to just go home and forget about everything. Twilight looked up at the sky. The sun was a deep red color with orange highlights. That's when Twilight got angry. Nopony messes with her mentor’s sun. After a few short seconds, Twilight's anger was replaced with sadness again. She wanted to see the princess again. She- the spell! She could use the spell she used to bring her friends, bringing the princess wouldn't be much harder. Twilight stood up and began to perform the spell. Midnight stood back, giving Twilight time to concentrate. She lifted her element in front of her and poured magic into it. The one with the most magical power would be transported to the spot where the element stood. After all, it was the Element of Magic. With a pop, the spot where the tiara stood lit up with a bright light. Then, once the light dissapated, Twilight's gaze meet Princess Celestia's warm, motherly smile. Twilight broke into tears and ran up to her. They shared a hug and tears. "Hello, my faithful student." Celestia said, softly. "Princess, I'm sorry for bringing you here, but as you may have noticed, Equestria is under attack. The master of fantasy and terror Lunar Nightmare is letting the fantasy world take over." Twilight said. "Twilight, you know I can't fight in wars. It would be too risky for the rest of Equestria." Celestia told her. "I know, I know, I just don't want to live in fantasy." Twilight said, tears forming in her eyes. As they spoke, the fantasy world took more effect. Pigs with wings flew in the skies, purple grass grew rapidly. It was a living nightmare and only Lunar would be enjoying it. It was time to show him not to mess with Equestria. It was time to go back to the Forgotten Bridge. ~~~ Twilight showed the way up the hill, leading Celestia down the path, to the bridge. At the temple on the other side, they could here laughter. Lunar was talking to her friends, telling them the plans for a new Equestria. Her blood turned cold when he said the last few words. Equestria: A World of Fantasy and Terror. Fantasy was almost finished taking over. They silently stepped in. "What was that about Equestria?" Celestia asked. Lunar froze and turned slowly. "P-Princess C-Celestia? B-but -" Lunar stuttered. He looked like a colt getting caught with his hoof in the cookie jar. "I do believe you are the cause of ruining my subjects' home. Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to Twilight here, it seems so." Celestia said. Was it getting...hot? The room began to rise in temperature. Celestia then cooled down, not wanting to get any angrier. "W-well you see, I-" he started and finished, "You win." He looked at the ground and sighed. “I guess no world of fantasy then.” Lunar said, hiding a smile. As he walked by Twilight, a dagger that was hidden in his mane quickly found itself in Twilight's shoulder. Soon, Twilight was on the ground, blood running down her foreleg, and she was wincing in pain. Lunar burst out laughing maniacally. "Consider this a gift! The world is to start anew!" He said. He lit his horn and teleported himself and his minions out. Celestia opened the cage in which her friends were in, and then walked over to the lavender unicorn on the floor. "Twi? Are you ok, Sugarcube?" Applejack said first. Twilight gave no answer. Applejack kindly offered her hat to be used to stop the bleeding. Princess Celestia levitated Twilight on her back and spoke to Midnight. "You know this area well. Are there any other ponies here?" Celestia asked. "There is a village about twenty miles south of my house." He offered. "That will have to do. Hang in there Twilight." Celestia let the stallion leas the way and they started a new journey to get Twilight help. Celestia didn't want to lose her student to a knife. She was going to get her help. ~~~ Lunar Nightmare sat inside of some kind of a structure. He was laughing maniacally, his head towards the ground. "Soon the world will be the perfect fantasy." He laughed. "So close to her. With her magic, my new world would be ten times more magical. It will happen soon, though. Yes, soon it will. Mark my words Equestria. Soon this will be the perfect world of Fantasy and terror. You will all be living a fantasy. You will be my servants. Soon, Twilight Sparkle, soon. I will get you. You will be mine. You and the new Elements of Chaos will be mine." To be Continued Waking Up (Again) Darkness. All Twilight Sparkle. Could see, was darkness. Coldness swept over her body and she shivered. Images tugged at her brain. The bridge, a world of fantasy, the the dagger. She winced. A dagger had pierced her left shoulder just before Lunar Nightmare escaped. She could feel the blood on her leg, numbness overcoming her left side. She lay silently on who knows what, sleeping and taking shallow breaths. She heard mumbling but couldn't make out what was being said. The Forgotten Bridge Mydnyt Ryan Celestia sat in the corner of the room, watching Twilight intently as a doctor stood over her, cleaning the wound. She watched as every moment the cloth touched the cut, that Twilight would twitch, making a faint noise each time. She hoped that Twilight would be alright. Celestia was brought back to reality as the doctor stood in front of her. "Well,' he said, looking at the reports. "The knife was poisoned with ancient viper venom. She is lucky the venom didn't take effect as quickly." Celestia sighed and nodded. "Thank you, doctor. If there is anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to ask." The doctor nodded and Celestia exited the room Twilight was being treated for in. Twilight's friends were outside waiting. They looked up when the princess came out, and she nodded. They let go of the breath they had been holding. "She should be fine..." ~~~ Twilight's breathing started back to normal as she countinuedmto sleep. Noises were no longer muffled and her left side was no longer numb. She shivered, however, thinking about all that has happened. The bridge was an illusion, the key to fantasy. Lunar, what had he said? Consider this a gift, for the world will start anew! She had heard those last words before the world went black. It had all happened so fast. Suddenly the door opened. Twilight opened her eyes to see the doctor. "Sorry to disturbed you, Miss Sparkle, but your friends would like to see you." She nodded and the doctor waved them in. "Oh Twilight, we were so worried! You must be frightened." Rarity said. "Well, yes, but I should be fine. If anything, I'm worried about you guys." As the group continued talking, a stallion walked into the front room of the medical center. He had a light brown coat and a dark brown mane and tail. His cutie mark showed a quill and a scroll. His eyes were blue and burning with concern. He talked to the doctor and after the doctor pointed to the door, walked over and pushed it open. The conversation stopped. "Hello, Miss Sparkle," He aid, his accent sounding all most old equish. "I came to talk about a small matter with you." Twilight blinked. "I'm sorry, but who are you?" She asked. The stallion smiled. "My apologies, I am Johnathan Smith and I think we should talk about the bridge. The Forgotten Bridge.
Waking Up She flinched.
"Midnight, meet the Elements of Harmony."
Temple Of FearMental Check-list: Camping Gear-Check Water-Check Food-Check Elements-Check Fighting Supplies-Check Twilight Sparkle checked off the final item with a relived sigh. "Oh-" To be continued
Ending The team was ready to arrive at their first destination- the bridge itself. You and the new Elements of Chaos will be mine." To be Continued
Waking Up (Again) Darkness.
