Volatile Darkness of a Homunculus
Whoaaaa, didn't see that coming.
Darkness...The esscence of my prescence, yet at the same time I wasn't there? Black, darkness, shadows-
That's all I saw. But that strangely? I was okay with that. Flashes flew by in my head, almost ke memories, things I had apparently done that I can't remember doing at all. Test tubes, runes and strange symbols on the ground. I decided to do some thinking at that. A small pain prodded my side, but I ignored it. Groaning I turned over on my my side. That's when I noticed something, the bed I'm SUPPOSED to be sleeping on feels rather hard to be made out of soft things...Like feathers.
"GAH!" I yelped when a sharp pain flew into my side. "The fuck man!?" I growled angrily as I rose to me feet. I turned to glare at the person who dared injure me.
Only to find out it wasn't a person. But instead a...Dog? Yeah, a dog. Specifically a Diamond Dog. A few things were wrong with that. Number one, aren't Diamond Dogs made up fictional creatures? Second, he was ALOT taller then what they're supposed to be. Lastly, THERE WAS A DIAMOND DOG INFRONT OF ME! And he looked angry, if the way he was clutching he lanturn was anything to go by.
"W-what the hell!?" I stuttered out. "How are you here!?" The D-Dog looked confused.
"Me live here." He stated simply. "Get back to work!" He glared at me.
I simply huffed. I was at a huge disadvantage here, I was obviously a slave with the way he was currently treating me. And to that I could give a single middle finger. At doing this I had noticed something...off.
Where the hell were my fingers?
Taking in a sharp gasp I looked on in horror. There was no more posable thumb. Only a stub. Okay, so I- NO! Something was wrong here...Now that I look back I can't seem to remember much of anything of what I did the day before. Just this big blank came to mind. And that bothered me alot. I-
"WORK.NOW." The slaver growled out, pointing to-
HOLY MOTHER OF BACON AND CUPCAKES, GEMS! GEMS EVERYWHERE!
I was practically drooling at all the jewels here, if I were back on earth I'd be a Bajillionair. The whole cave seemed to be MADE of these bad boys.
"Like it?" The smirked. "Well good, you get to mine it." He snarked. "GET TO IT!"
Flashes of being looked down upon, being fored from several jobs. Obeying my parents, being told what I was supposed to be. What I'm supposed to do. Something snapped in me, I had been taking orders my whole life. And you know what? I was tired of it.
It was time to make a change.
"No." I said cooly. "Do it your damn self you damn dirty mutt." My eyes didn't hold their usual light. It was time to get my hands dirty.
The dog glowered at me. "SAY THAT AGAIN, SLAVE!" He spat at me.
"Which part? The one were I said no? Or the part where I said you were a damn dirty mutt?" I smirked at my horrible attempt at humor.
The reaction was instant, he leaped at me in fury- probably about to attempt to maul my face of with them sharp claws 'o his. He didn't get far. As soon as he leaped my shadow moved to pierced him in the heart, he died before he hit the ground. The lanturn managed to get out unscathed. Shrugging I walked over to it and began to look over it. It seemed pretty normal. That was until I looked closer. Upon closer inspection I noticed something. Several runes were carved into the lanturn and were glowing faintly. I quickly established that some words were inscribed into the bottom of it. I read out the two words.
"Lumen, and Ignis." With some amount of suprise I noted that these were Latin words. Oh boy, I was going to have fun with this. Suddenly I was thankful for the suggestion of taking that Latin class in college. If these words were on here, that meant that the other words in Latin would more than likely work aswell. Picking up the little laturn I decided it would be wise to keep it. The question would be, why were they inscribed? Why not just say the words out loud? Something was going on with this thing, but I didn't really too much care. I began to feel hungry, remembering one of my many abilities I smiled cruelly.
The shadows suddenly grew teeth and creepy eyes, and began tearing into the diamond dog, and one of the pair of teeth ouright swallowed the rest of the body. Still smiling cruelly, I stepped forward, I began to sniff. My new sense of smell helped me find a wat out this cave. I began walking to the exit, lanturn around my neck, I needed to see what I was. After about twenty minutes of boring silence (Not that I really minded it, I needed some time to think!), I finally came to a stop, I saw a bunch of rocks blocking the way out. Looks like that cave...
Caved in.

Somewhere out there, someone is writing everything we do and say. We don't really control ourselves. It's untrue. And silly, right? That would never be true.
I was getting off track, right. Eying the boulder I quickly set about sending the shadows their way, they destroyed all the rocks blocking the way/ falling BECAUSE I was knocking them away. Almost immediately a bright light burst in from the rocks falling away.Squinting my eyes and stepping outside I got a good look at where I was. And I had to say.
This was the blandest fucking place I have ever seen in my entire damn life, and once you work at an office you'd know. Sighing I went about, preparing to explore, when a scent caught my nose- No, several scents. They were other Diamond Dogs. I could just smell them.
I watched as they jumped in a hole with several other creatures in chains with despair written clearly on their faces. They had no choice. They'd have to listen to someone else.
No. I wouldn't have it. Not on my watch.
I decided to wait, they'd lead me to all the other slaves they had, and I'd help them too.
Call me Abraham Lincoln bitch, I'm freeing the slaves.
I then made my self a list.
1: Follow those idiots.
2: Raid them for everything they have
3: Free the slaves.
4: ???
5: Profit.
Welp, time to get to work!
It was dark in the cave. So much that even the Diamond Dogs needed light, as such they brought a torch. Lucky me because I could travel through shadows...I melded with the darkness after they were out of sight then after leaping from shadow to shadow leaped into the small ones shadow. After about five minutes of walking with the only sound of the clinking chains and the burning fire, one of the D-Dogs started to sniff the air.
"Smell that?" He inquired. "Smell like blood." I furrowed my non-existant brows. Of course he smelled blood, I murdered another one of his clansmen. I decided I'd give them a scare before killing them. Zipping out of one of their shadows I stood at the end of the cave way, pretending to them make a left.
"Look!" Pointed a Diamond Dog to me. "Escapee!" The others growled as about five of them started making their way too me. A mare in the crowd gasped.
"W-What's that little colt doing out here!? They take children too!? How awful!" She exclaimed horrified. My brows raised, for a split second. I was a colt? For some reason, I can't remember why but...it feels ironic. Well, it was time to get back to work, I'd worry about the whole 'Colt' thing later.
"Come closer..." I said, well... It was like a whisper, but echo-y and everyone (everypony?) heard it. Like a distorted disembodied voice.
"W-What you?" One of the mutts stammered out, clearly afraid.
"Who me?...I'm...Your friendly neighbor Spiderman..." I snarked out, my voice still the same.
Aparrently he didn't like this answer, because he charged at me with the intent to kill, of course exactly like his comrade he died before he hit the ground. The shadows began feasting on the corspe. About ten minutes of screams later, all that were left were the ex-slaves, who stood in horror at the carnage. One of the more battle hardended Griffons there looked abit disturbed. And regarded me wairly, with good reason to aswell! I turned toward him, my distorted voice still on.
"Come closer..." I said trying to scare him. It looked like all it did was make him tense and prepare- before he remembered he was chained and wouldn't get far.
"What do you want?" He said suspcious. "Wanna eat my soul or something?"
"Nope!" I said enthusiastically, my voice back to normal. "I'm here to save YOU and the other slaves! Wouldn't you like to take part of this!?" He said gleefully. He blinked.
"What's the catch?" The burly dude asked curiously.
"There's no catch!" I chirrped, as soon as I said what I did the shadows gathered from my own shadows and pierced all the shackles.They looked at me as if I had grown two heads.
"Why did you help us?" He questioned. "And who are you?"
I went over it in my head. "Well, does a colt need a reason to help you?"
"You're not a colt." He deadpanned, the others nodded their heads and agreed with him. "Or atleast, not a normal one."
"Still." I said. "It's the thought that counts! Right? And to your second question?..." I thought about it, if I was gonna have a new world, then I had to have a cool name to go with it, right?

I guess I'd go with a one from a show I like! I smiled widely, clearly happy with the way things were going right now.
"My name, is Pride." Yup, already liking the way that sounded. The Griffin nodded, content for the time being. A few of the others were shooken up from the blood spill/ gut spill action that went on here. "Now then, I'll need you all to return to the beginning of the cave, you can't stay out top. One: Because it's cooler down here. Two: Because if a Diamond Dog pack comes after you and I'm not there, who knows what can happen. And lastly when I'm done here we'll all be able to get out of here safely and quietly. Sound good?" I asked them. They had answers they were looking for I guess because now the were nodding.
"Will you be fine?" One mare asked concerned. I was deeply touched, very few people cared about me, much less a stranger.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Go on now." I said like it was off hooftedly. (Hah!) They then all reluctantly left, taking the torch from the dead dogs remains, the griffin nodded at me and kept moving. I needed answers and to free those slaves. And it looked like the only way I'd be getting anything? Would be getting through this cave. Steeling my resolve I headed to where the most light in the cave was.
When I got there, I was greeted by the sight of of slaves everywhere. No seriously, this place was fucking huge, I could fit about five other caves in here. The slaves were pushing carts, mining, hell a few of them looked like they were about to just fall over from malnorishment and being overworked! I grew angry at this, I hated this already. It looks like I'd have to show them exactly who is in charge now. Stepping into the light of the dimly lit cave I smiled darkly, when I was seen a three diamond dogs rushed my way. clearly intent on killing or capturing me, for this they recived a puncture in their hearts, like the other two.
I just fucking loved doing that, it was just so fucking funny.
The third diamond dog tried to sneak up on me, only for my shadow to take the form of an axe and cleave his head clean off.Which I caught with my hoof with a mocking smile, and looked the head in the eyes. "Awww, too bad. You almost got me. Not really, but still, it's the thought that counts." I smiled again, and kicked the head where it rolled to a crowd of diamond dogs- maybe about ten of them. I looked at them boredl. Sure I was out numbered and all, but they're not very strong at all, nor very smart. They sprinted me at once clearly intending to get the upperhand with their large numbers. I facehoofed (By the way, that stuff hurts, a big blob of flesh hitting you in the face, and it belongs to a pony too.), they really thought they could just come at me like that? Well, looks like they were about to learn a lesson....
A LESSON OF PAIN!
The shadow under me reacted quickly to the rush, turning into a hand and bitch slapping them all into a while. I was satisfied when I heard a 'Crack' and a yelp. The slaves in that area as well as the Diamond dogs looked shocked. The remaning one tried to run away, not heading toward the exit, so probably to tell his leader.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" The shadow tendril took out the form a spear with a chain attached. "GET OVER HERE!" I yelled with glee as it shot out and impaled him in the chest. He coughed out blood as I pulled him back.grabbing him by the throat, I then tossed him, and began to spin in a 360 motion, the spear ceased it's hold and realeased him.
Right onto another Diamond Dogs spear who was preparing a sneak attack.
He dropped the spear (And by extension the other dog with a yelp), I rushed foward, it was time for my physical assault. My vision become tunnel for a second, I found my self infront of that Diamond Dog in a heartbeat, I cocked back my hoof -"FALCOOOOON PUNCH!" -and hit him hard. And when I say hard?
I meant hard.**
He flew several feet, where a few slaves were gaping at our fight. They dived out the way of the incoming dog with their own yelps. There the dog caused a crater to form in the wall.
That has to be the single most badass thing I have ever done.
It was then heard the sound of shuffling and paws.
Yeah, remember when I said this place was huge? Well, there needs to be something in that huge ass space. And there was.
Diamond dogs where all around me, ever played Kingdom Hearts 2? There was a stage where Sora was just surrounded by fucking enimies. That exactly how it was, and I thought I was outnumbered before. there was probably one hundred of these assholes ready to skewer me, yeah, that's not bad news at all. Sighing I got into a crouching position. And prepared to fight. It was right then I noticed something staring from the ceiling at me with curious eyes. And it was huge. After narrowing my eyes I gaped.
There was a fucking *dragon *just *staring *at me!****
Well, fuck him. I had slaves to free, THEN I would get to him!
"LET'S GO YOU TRASH!" I roared, it was time for the battle to begin. Then all howled and then began to charge me.
It was about to go down.
"THIS IS GONNA ROCK!"
