She'd put her thoughts of her two lost friends behind her. It's been two years, and she had to let go sometime. Even her friends Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight had moved on. Spike too. None of them had intentionally planned to go to their burials in awhile. Though Fluttershy had moved on from her thoughts of her friends passing, she still remembered their fates. Rainbow Dash died while showing off a trick. When it went terribly wrong she broke her neck, causing instant death. And Rarity died from going insane because she couldn't stand being ugly, due to the burns and scars from the fire incident. Fluttershy was coming back from sugar Cube Corner, where she was hanging out with Pinkie Pie. Fluttershy had hung out with her at least a few dozen times, probably because she is the closest. Applejack's farm was on the complete opposite side of the town; and Twilight, and Spike, had moved to Canterlot. So that just left Pinkie. As Fluttershy was heading home from her friends place, she saw Applejack. Applejack was selling some of her apples in town. Fluttershy headed over to where she was. " Hey Applejack. What's up?" Fluttershy asked softly. " Oh. Hey sugarcube. I'm just selling some goods. The family is trying to collect enough money for the broken silo." Applejack said while handing (hoofing) a sack of apples to a gentlecolt with a cherry cutie mark. "How'd it break?" "Let's just say; that storm we had last week was a doozy." Applejack stated. Fluttershy recalled that storm it had done quite some damage. The storm practically flooded the town and stirred up a tornado. "Our new weather monitor isn't very good at his job." Fluttershy said. "Your telling me." Applejack was counting her bits while talking to Fluttershy. They began to head to Sweet Apple Acres. They were so busy on talking, that when they were crossing the street they hadn't noticed the carriage coming. MOVE! Fluttershy looked up and turned around. She saw the carriage coming straight at them. Fluttershy grabbed Applejack and flew in the air. Fluttershy has not used her wings in awhile, even with her practice that hasn't been "practiced" properly. The carriage went to halt, but it was going so fast that it crashed into a building. Luckily nopony was in that building. "OH SHIT!" Applejack said dangling from Fluttershy's grasp. Fluttershy looked at her friend with confusion of her newly profound word. "What? Pony's can swear." Applejack exclaimed. Fluttershy landed her friend on the ground, and rushed to the car. The pony driving got out in time for sure. She flew to the pony and asked if she was alright. She said that she was fine and was glad that nopony got hurt. Fluttershy helped the mare up, and went back to her friend. "She is fine. The only thing that is hurt is the building." Fluttershy cleared up for her friend. "Thank you Fluttershy." Applejack said sympathetically. " For what?" "Saving me. I would never of noticed the carriage or been able to get out of the way. So, thank you for saving me." "It was nothing. If you would of gotten killed....." Fluttershy's voice trailed off. She remembered her other friends. Fluttershy leaned forward and hugged Applejack. "I don't know what I would do." Fluttershy cried on her friends shoulder. "Don't worry sugar. I'm not going anywhere." Applejack returned the hug. " I'm going to head home by myself. Being a little cautious. You do the same, and we'll talk tomorrow." With that said, Fluttershy left to her cottage. She opened her door quietly. The animals had all grown up and had left to the forest. Except Angel who didn't want to leave. She went to her kitchen and made a snack. Fluttershy then went upstairs and went to bed. Fluttershy was in Cloudsdale. She knew this was a dream, but was enjoying it. She saw Celestia and Twilight talking to a guard of Cloudsdale. Next to that guard was a scientist. She could tell by the outfit it was one of the chiefs of the Rainbow Factory. Fluttershy listened to their conversation. Fluttershy could only make out a few words except one sentence. " We're running low on juice." The scientist said. Fluttershy couldn't hear anything after that, and woke from her dream to morning light. Fluttershy was wondering what the dream meant. "It was probably nothing. No need to worry." Fluttershy said to herself. Fluttershy awoke Angel as she came down the stairs. He got up and demanded food. "Would you please wait Angel Bunny. Mommy's going to get you some in a second. Fluttershy went to the kitchen and got some food for her and Angel. As it was cooking Fluttershy looked out the window. She saw a somewhat beautiful rainbow. The only reason it was somewhat beautiful was that it wasn't complete. It was missing the color red and half of it's orange. " Why is it like that?" Fluttershy thought back to her dream. It couldn't be true that the Factory was running low on juice. They have been completely full since their first capture mission two hundred and fifty years ago. If they were actually going empty that means they're are going to have to make another capture mission. "Hopefully they fix this problem without having to capture pony's." Fluttershy picked up her food that had been cooking and pushed aside her thoughts. She gave half of her food to Angel and sat down with him to watch some T.V. A few minutes later Fluttershy and Angel went down to Sugar Cube Corner to hang out with Pinkie before going to Applejack's farm. Upon their arrival she saw the building the carriage had crashed into being repaired. She walked up to the steps of the bakery, and entered. She was happy that the twins were at school. Other wise she would of been knocked to her feet already. Fluttershy walked up to Pinkie Pie's room. "Hey Pinkie what are you doing?" "Nothing much really. Except that I'm being bored for the 32nd time in a life. See there was this time when my father made me first harvest the rocks. That was the first. Then the second was when i had to do it again. And then again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and agai..." Fluttershy stuck her hoof in Pinkie's mouth to get her to stop. "I get it Pinkie. I need a few sweets to take to Applejack. can you make me some. You can even come with me if you wanted to." Fluttershy said. "At least I won't be bored." Pinkie said and went downstairs into the kitchen.She prepared five strawberry tarts, and went with Fluttershy to Sweet Apple Acres. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie walked to the farm. They talked about many things. One topic that they were interested in was Fluttershy's dream. "So your saying that the Rainbow's are made from earth pony's?" Pinkie Pie said looking horrified. "Yep. The pegasus pony's had to learn that in school. The Factory hasn't needed the need for them for so long though. Mainly because they only need at least ten to keep it running for a couple hundred years.Also now that I think about it, it's kind of disturbing to think about where Rainbow Dash's rainbow came from." Fluttershy said. They continued their walk kind of creeped out by the thoughts that were going through their minds. When they arrived they saw Big Macintosh bucking apples. He said hi and smiled at smiled at the sight of Fluttershy. Fluttershy saw the expression and blushed. As they approached the house though, Granny smith directed to the silo where she said Applejack was working. They saw Applejack on a ladder putting up a medal piece to the hole in the side of silo. "Hey Applejack! Come take a break and eat some tarts!" Pinkie yelled at the pony high on the ladder. "Alright alright, I'm coming down." Applejack slid down the ladder. Fluttershy perked her wings up just in case she fell. "Calm down Flutters," Applejack said as she landed on the ground, "I'm not falling." "Sorry. I was just didn't want you to get hurt ,and i was getting ready just in case." The friends sat down and ate the Tarts. Fluttershy had forgotten Angel was in her saddle. He hopped out and was given a tart. They finished up their foods and were thirsty. "Hold on girls. I'll get us some water." Applejack offered and went to her house. Pinkie Pie got up and started to walk around. Fluttershy got up as well and stretched her wings and legs. applejack got outside with three glasses of water and handed them to Pinkie, Fluttershy, and herself. Fluttershy took a gulp and gave the rest to Angel. Pinkie Pie drank hers and went back to walking around while talking to her friends. Applejack was ready to get back to work on the silo. She walked over to the ladder and accidentally tripped on her feet into the ladder. The ladder hit up against the silo and knocked the medal plate that Applejack had been working on off. It was heading towards Pinkie Pie. "Look out Pinkie!" Applejack yelled rubbing her head. Pinkie stopped,looked up and saw the plate. It was only inches from her. Not enough time to move. But Fluttershy was a step ahead. She darted towards Pinkie and tackled her. The plate landed on the ground with a loud clang. "Damn! That was close." Pinkie said. Fluttershy looked at Pinkie to with the same face given to Applejack. "What? Pony's can swear too." Applejack got up and rushed over. "Are you two alright?" Applejack asked. "Yes, were fine." Fluttershy explained. Big Mac ran over after hearing the loud noise of the plate hitting the ground. "Uh? Fluttershy you're bleeding." Big Mac said examining her body (as he always did). Fluttershy looked where Big Mac's gaze was directed. There was a cut on her leg. it was deep too. Big Mac ran inside and grabbed some bandaging. They had Fluttershy's leg wrapped up. "Thank you." Fluttershy said. "I'm going to head home," Pinkie Pie said,"I don't want something else to come crashing down upon us." Pinkie Pie left in a hurry. Big Mac grabbed his Apple carrier and loaded Fluttershy inside. "Me and Mac are gonna take you to a hospital. Those bandages aren't professional grade." Applejack said. They took her to the ER and the nurses had stitched and cleaned her wound. They even gave Fluttershy a tetnis shot just in case the medal was dirty. The nurses told Fluttershy not to put to much pressure on the leg. Applejack and Mac took Fluttershy back home. Applejack helped her to her room and laid her down in bed. "Go to sleep sugarube. And try to stay out of harms way." Applejack said and left her house. Big Mac came into the room and put Angel on her bed. Applejack and Mac left. Fluttershy stayed awake for a little being thankful that she had been prepared to save her friend. Fluttershy closed her eyes and slept. She was dreaming of Cloudsdale again. She wondered around until she found Celestia speaking to the scientist. Celestia had sent Twilight away and the guard had left also. This time Fluttershy could here almost everything. "We have been running on the ten pony's we've collected for two hundred and fifty years. But we need more or we may not be able to generate rainbows any longer." The scientist explained. "Your right we need our rainbow's. Otherwise unicorns and alicorns won't be able to produce magic. But isn't there a alternate route?" Celestia said. "I don't think there is one we need at least ten more to keep the factory running." "Where are you going to get the pony's from?" Celestia asked. "With your confirmation. The Cloudsdale army has already set "Operation: Capture Mission Bravo" to be accomplished in." The scientist voice grew harder to hear. Fluttershy leaned forward to hear the rest. Celestia yelled so loudly that Fluttershy jumped in fright. "Why Ponyville?!?" Author's Note I have a feeling this is going to be fun writing. Also just wondering, do you guys/gals like the way I'm playing Fluttershy's character. I did say in my last story that she trained in honor of RD, but I'm just not sure what you guys/gals think. I just thought making her a bit faster and a little more confident would help me set the story easier.
