"GGGRRRRAAAAAAA!!!!!" Blaze, a Charmeleon, held the near collapsed stone ceiling from crushing him and his friends, Steel, an Agron, and Titan, a Nidoking, both of whom were weak from pain, so they couldn't help. Beside Titan was Zana, a female Zangoose and Titan's mate. Sitting in the back of the room was Razor, a Scyther, weakened from the recent attack from the strange black pokemon that he just driven off. And finally, digging and searching through rubble that buried some berries he was carrying, was Sparks, a Pikachu and best friend of Blaze.
"You know....you can....get that berry....ANYTIME NOW!!!!" Blaze bellowed through clenched teeth as to not bite his tongue.
"I'm looking as fast as I can!!!" Poor Sparks yelled back as he continued to search for the oran berry. Of course, Blaze had great cause to be short tempered, as he had been holding the ceiling up for an hour and a half. "Almost....almost...." Sparks finally found his prize, but getting it out would prove to a new challenge. "Tauros crap!!! I can't reach it and I don't trust my tail enough to get it!!! Razor, you think you can reach it?"
Razor stood on weak, but sturdy legs, and walked over to the rubble. He reached in and stabbed the berry with his scythe and pulled it out, where he then sliced it in half.
Zana grabbed one half, while Sparks grabbed the other, and went to the fallen giants. After convincing them to eat, they backed off to let the berry do its job. A few moments passed before the two heavy weights stood, their wounds all, but faded.
"Come on Titan, let's help him." Steel spoke in his deep metallic voice. They both pushed where Blaze was holding the ceiling and aimed it to blockade the path to prevent more attacks.
"Well, now how do we get out?" Razor asked in his calm and mild tone. Fortunately, Zana found the answer.
"Guys, I found a way out!!" The others looked to see where she was. "I think that cave in made this, but we might find a way out through here."
"We got bigger problems right now!!!" Sparks yelled out to his friends. When they turned, they saw the what was wrong.
Blaze, their leader, was on his back, in unimaginable agony.
"I....I can't feel....my....my arms...." He rasped out, barely awake through the pain. Titan moved to carry him on his back. After carefully setting Blaze on Titan, they began down the new path.
"Don't worry, we'll get out of this yet, buddy." Titan reassured his leader.
After about ten minutes of walking, the team came upon a large room filled with the strange pokemon, only they weren't attacking this time. They just kept flying around the room.
Now that they weren't being attacked, the gang could get a better look at them. They were all black with a large white eye in the center, and in the center of that was a small black dot. They were all different, however, in the shape of what looked like letters, from A to Z. The most disturbing part, though, was that they kept chanting the same word over and over again. "Unknown. Unknown."
Zana was the first to speak. "W...what kind of Pokemon are they?" No one had an answer.
Then the Unknown Pokemon started moving towards them, encircling them in a small space. Steel became agitated with this. "Hey, better back off or else!!" He took a defensible pose, getting ready for anything.
Except for what happened next.
The Pokemon circled faster and faster till they were all a blur. Then, they began to glow. The glow got brighter and brighter till the squad was forced to cover their eyes from becoming blind.
"Ahg, what's going on with them?!"
That was the last thing Titan said before the team disappeared in a flash of light.
In a clearing, the large white and red cat ferret named Zana was the first to wake. Her whole body feel asleep, if the pins and needles feeling was any indication. Still though, she willed her body to move, despite the numbness she felt. After the world stopped spinning, she managed to get her bearings. She was in a clearing surrounded by trees, leading her to believe she was in a forest. As she was taking in sights, a groan brought her attention to a large dark pink and dark violet creature with spikes on its arms and back, with a large horn on its forehead. "Titan!!!"
The white and red pokemon rushed to her mates side, worried for his life. "Titan, are you okay?" Titan groaned louder, obviously not much better than Zana when she first woke.
"Z...Zana? W...what happened?" He asked as he was rising, still feeling numb. It was then that a look of horrible realization dawned on him. "WHERE'S BLAZE?!?! HE WAS WITH ME A WHILE AGO!!!!" He frantically searched for their missing leader, finding a large silver and dark grey creature with a bright silver head closely resembling Titan, but without all the spikes and has three horns instead of one, two beside where Titans would be and one on the snout, and a large green creature resembling a preying mantis except for it only having two legs and its arms being scythes and having sharp, narrow eyes, instead of the million eyes that most bugs have, as well as having a snout like Titan. "Steel, Razor!! You okay, guys?"
Steel was the next to rise, not fairing any better than the first two. "Ow. When I get my claws on those pricks, I'll play jigsaw puzzle with their bodies!!" Safe to say, Steel was ticked.
Razor chose this time to rise next, His body as numb as everyone else. "Save your energy, Steel. We'll need it when and if we come across any hostiles." Razor told him, still as calm and collected as ever.
Zana caught up to Titan and told of her findings. "Guys, I can't find Blaze or Sparks anywhere." A sudden rustle from nearby foliage put them all on the defensive, waiting for any enemy to show themselves.
Only for Sparks to come running out like he saw a demon. "There you guys are!!! Quickly, Blaze is really hurt!!!" The others just gave him a deadpan look.
"Uh, Sparks? We know he's hurt, that's why we're looking for him." Steel, being the smart-flank he is, couldn't help, but say that.
This only made Sparks more frantic. "Yeah, but he wasn't bleeding before!!!" That got their attention. Sparks darted off to where he left Blaze, the others following not too far behind.
When they found him, they all went pale. There, laying on the ground on his back, was Blaze, bleeding profusely from his arms and tail. His chest was slowly rising and falling, leading to the conclusion that he's still alive, but not for long. Zana broke the silence. "W-what happened to him."
"We can figure that out later, right now we have to get him to a hospital!" Razor quickly reminded them. Titan grabbed Blaze again, keeping him in his arms this time.
Razor flew up past the trees and found a village not far from where they were. He beckoned the others to follow him, as he guided them as fast as they could move. All of them were moving at such incredible speed, that they reached the town in just under a few minutes.
As they ran through the village, they saw that it was completely populated by multi colored ponytas, all of whom were either slackjawed, or screaming in terror. They ignored the strange ponytas as a building with a red cross came into view.
Titan busted through the doors, which surprisingly didn't shatter from the impact, and rushed the reception counter. "Do you have any doctors available?! My friend needs help bad!!" He pleaded with the receptionist, who just stared, jaw hanging. "NOW!!!"
The mare snapped out of her trance and called in all available doctors and nurses. When they got there, they were just as stunned, until they saw Blaze, then they regained their senses.
The doctors took him in a glow of energy, leading Titan and the others to believe a psychic pokemon was among them. After Blaze was taken, the remaining five all sat on the available benches, breathing a sigh of relief and worry.
Once everyones hearts were under control, Sparks repeated Zanas earlier question. "Just how did that happen?"
Steel answered. "He saved us, again!!" They all looked to Steel for an explanation. "I was still awake when it happened. We were falling through a tunnel of light and we were about to be separated, but Blaze, through his pain, grabbed Sparks and Titan, who was holding Zana, and told me to grab his tail. I told him that he was insane for doing it and you know what he did? Heh, he just grinned and said 'Have you met me, since when does sanity refer to me?' I couldn't help, but listen and grab on. That's when I blacked out."
During his tale, Zana began to cry freely with Titan trying to comfort her. "W-why, why would h-he go through so m-much for us?" She got out between sobs.
"He must care for you all greatly." They turned to see a white mare with a pink mane tied in a bun, with a red cross with four hearts surrounding it on her flank, coming up to them. "The only other times I see those kind of injuries, is when one protects their friends."
"Miss, is he alright, will he make it?!" Sparks asked with tears of his own ready to flow.
The nurse looked into his eyes with a sad gaze. "All the bones in his arms have severely massive fractures and the veins in them ruptured through the skin, tearing it and causing the massive bloodloss. His tail has a large bite mark and was dislocated. All in all, I'm shocked he's still alive, a pony would've died, yet he's just sleeping like nothing happened. What's more, he seems to be healing faster than we can help. Bottom line, he'll be just fine." She finishes with a relieved smile, making the others let out a relieved sigh with a breath they didn't know they had.
Steel spoke up. "Wait, what do you mean 'faster than you can help'?" He held a stern gaze.
The nurse smiled, though it was clear that she was just as confused. "Well, when we tried to heal some of his wounds, they just healed them selves right in front of our eyes. I've never seen anything like it."
"THE HEALING BAND!!!" Everyone jumped at sparks shout, who then looked sheepish. "Sorry, but I just remembered that Blaze still had the healing band! Miss, did he have a violet band on his arm when you were helping him?" He asked, turning to the nurse.
She smiled at this new information. "Why yes, he did! Does that help with his healing?"
"It does. You see, that band increases one's metabolism in order to grant constant healing. The only down side is that it makes the user very hungry." Sparks finished with a smile.
The nurse looked concerned. "I see. Do you know what he eats? We saw that he has fangs like a carnivore, but he also had molars like a pony, so we're not sure what he eats."
Zana spoke up. "Oh he eats fruit mostly, along with a few nuts now and then, just like the rest of us. The only meat we ever eat is fish." The nurse sighed in relief, before perking up.
"Oh, how rude me, I haven't introduced myself. I am Nurse Red Heart, it is a pleasure to meet you all." She spoke with friendly smile.
The others gave their own smiles in return and began introducing themselves.
"My names Sparks."
"Names Steel."
"Razor."
"Call me Titan."
"I'm Zana, and the pleasure is ours. That red lug we were talking about is Blaze."
Red Heart nodded to the pokemon. "Well, if you want to see him, he's awake right now. Just don't make him too excited. We don't want to strain anything." The pokemon nodded and followed her to Blaze's room.
As the group walked down the hall, they were talking about many things, but the topic of the moment was where they were.
"So this is Equestria? Those creatures must have used a mass teleport and sent us here." Razor said in his collected manner.
Redheart nodded. "Yes, but from what you've told me, I don't think there's any such creature in these lands. Sure, there are strange and scary monsters, but nothing like what you've told-"
"FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Everyone jumped from the roar that came from the door in front of them. Titan laughed out loud. "HA!!! Even bed ridden, he never forgets his one true love!!!" This made everyone laugh before heading into the room. What they saw was hilarious.
Blaze, strapped in bed, looking like a withered mummy, and struggling to get free with the force of a true dragon. And his language was colorful. "GET ME OUT OF FUCKING THING BEFORE I RIP IT A NEW ASSHOLE AND TEAR THIS DAMNED BUILDING TO SHREDS!!!!" Titan was on the floor laughing his ass off along side Steel. Sparks and Razor facepalmed/facebladed(without cutting himself) in embarrassment while Zana and Nurse Redheart dropped their jaws, but for different reasons.
Titan managed to catch his breath and only let out a strained chuckled that threatened to get worse. "I guess we don't have to ask if you're okay!!"
Blaze glared at his friends with enough force to kill a dragon. "Give food, or eat you."
Redheart snapped out of her trance and called out. "SOMEPONY GET SOME FOOD HERE NOW!!! BRING EVERYTHING!!!!"
Two hours later and Blaze was still eating. Redheart was shocked. "How…where is he putting it all?! That's enough to feed the hospital for a week!!" The orderlies weren't fairing any better.
Blaze stopped eating and held out the very large bowl he was eating out of. The orderlies and Redheart thought he was finally finished. "More please." Everypony tripped like in anime in dumbfounded shock.
Redheart climbed back up. "I think you had enough."
Blaze smiled. "You're right. I should probably save some room for dessert." Everypony fell again.
Steel shook his head in amusement. "Now that you're not starving, what's our next move?"
Blaze then looked serious as he rubbed his chin in thought. "We know how we got here and where we are, but we need to find a way back home. I don't want to think about what would happen if we weren't there to help."
Razor spoke up. "We don't have to worry too much. We have many in our team and the others aren't pushovers. They'll keep the peace in our stead, as well as the other teams like Alakazam's team. Those guys are powerful."
Blaze sighed. This was why he valued Razor over most Psychic types, his battle hardened mind set could take any problem and find the strengths and weaknesses in record time. "Thanks old friend. Well, I guess all we can do till we find a way home is to build a new base and work from there."
Redheart grew curious after the orderlies left. "What do you mean? I've heard a little about you from your friends, but I'm still confused."
Blaze was about to answer when shouts could be heard down the hall. Redheart peeked out and saw a few ponies being wheeled down to the ER. She stopped one to find out what was happening. "A fire broke out in Sugercube Corner and some ponies got hurt bad!" He pushed his charge down the hall.
Redheart turned and before she spoke, she saw something wrong. "Um, where's Blaze?" The other Pokemon looked and saw that the bed was empty and the the window was open.
Blaze was running towards the smoke, his mind buzzing with activity. "Okay, depending on the size of the building, it shouldn't be a large fire, but counting the ponies I saw that might not be true. I just hope I'm not too late." Unlike most Charmeleons, Blaze's speed was matched only by his his strength and stubborness. He soon made it to the scene and felt his heart drop. A large building was nearly completely covered in flames, fire ponies outside trying to put them out while keeping the civilians out of the way.
He attention was brought to a scream. "Please, my foals are in there!!" He snapped to where he heard the scream and saw a plump blue pony mare with a frosting swirl like mane crying her eyes out, a lanky stallion pony holding her back, but also in tears.
The fire pony in front kept them out of the way. "I'm sorry, but the fire is too intense for anypony to go in right now." Blaze heard enough and jumped from the roof he was perched on, landing behind the couple. Said couple was still trying to get through. "Please, I just want my babies!!"
"Where are they?" Blaze spoke up from behind.
The mare spoke while turning to face him. "The second floor in the last room down the-" She froze when she saw who she was talking too, her stallion and the fire pony doing the same. "-hall."
Blaze nodded. "Don't worry, I'll get them out." Before he could take a step, he was stopped by the fire pony who screwed up his courage.
"N-now hold it there! Nopony is to cross the boundary!" He looked like he was about to faint from fear. And who could blame him, a Charmeleon looks like a flightless dragon with a foul temper.
Blaze glared at the pony. "Then good thing I'm not a pony." He charged, breaking the barricade and jumping through a window. He rolled among the flames and stood. He looked around and found the stairs, bolting for them. The stairs were an inferno, but Blaze didn't feel them. Another thing that made him different from other Charmeleons was his ability instead of Blaze that boosts his fire attacks in a pinch, his had Flare Blitz which made him stronger whenever he came in contact with any fire. As it stood, being in a burning building just made him stronger than even Steel and Titan put together.
Coming to the top of the stairs, he saw the hall way and rushes to the end, where he heard the cries of infants. He tore the door out of the way and spotted the crib that held the twin foals. He rushed over to see that they weren't harmed, only scared. He counts his lucky stars and picked them up. When they saw Blaze up close, they giggled despite the fire around them. Blaze smiled before a beam landed behind him, cutting his way back off. He could easily move the fire covered beam, but he didn't want to risk any harm to the foals. He saw that the window too was blocked by the same beam. He had only one shot. He turned and charged at the wall.
When he got close enough, he jumped and spinned, his tail glowing before turning into metal. "IRON TAIL!!" His tail smashed against the wall, destroying it with ease. The hole opened to reveal the town and the crowd in front of the building. He was on the third floor, not a good jump. He could break his legs from the fall. Then he heard the whimpers of the foals and he made up his mind. He took a few steps back before charging like a Tauros. Taking a leap of faith, literally, he dropped like a rock.
He brought the foals close to him and they held tight in return. He closed his eyes, expecting pain any second. When he didn't feel anything for a few seconds he opened his eyes to find Razor holding him up with his feet, his blade arms used to steady and prevent the foals from falling over. "You just can't stay out of trouble, can you?" Razor gave a smirk at his leader and flew down to the cheering ponies, the rest of the team having already arrived.
As soon as Razor let him go, the mare from before ran up to him, a tearful and grateful smile plastered on her face. "Thank you thank you, oh thank you!!!" She took her foals and pecked Blaze on the cheek in thanks. Blaze smiled and nodded. The ponies cheered for the heroic deed, the fire having just been put out by pegasi using rain clouds.
Blaze looked at his team. "Looks like we're still needed."
Author's Note
FINALLY!!! Since I can't get to a normal computer, or a laptop, I just said 'fuck it' and used me iPhone to make this chapter. Not as long as I would've liked, but I think I did a decent job. Also, thank you all who stayed with me this long, waiting for a new chap. And don't worry, the next one will be out much faster.
