Sanity Over Reality

Chapter 1

"Twi, what is that thing?" Asked a feminine, yet slightly masculine voice, outside the darkness of my unconscious mind.

"I-I... I don't know?" Answered the female voice of 'Twi'

"But Twilight," the first voice said again, this time, it sounded like begging, "your the egg head here, you should know this stuff!" She continued, her yells stirring my brain.

"I told you I. Don't. Know! Now please, Rainbow Dash, let me think before anypony else arrives, or we will have a problem on our hooves!" Twilight said, slightly yelling, causing the pain in the back of my, already blistering headache to grow worse.

"Well it can't be alive after what we saw!" Dash said, after what seamed like an eternity of waiting for a response, the sound of four feet walking towards me.

'wait, *four!?'***

At that moment, the metaphorical cogs in my brain span like a hurricane, my heartbeat like a train-

"Rainbow Dash!" Screamed the harsh, but frightened voice of the more feminine voice of 'Twilight,' the cruel wrath of pain scraping across my brain like it was a poison-tipped dagger.

"Come on, Twi, the monkey-thing looks as dead as a fallen tree" Replied the irked voice of 'Rainbow Dash,' the footsteps becoming louder, "…anyway, it's to see if its as dead as it looks," she resorted, the sound even louder than ever.

My brain strained harder to open my sealed eyes, even though my frantic thoughts and questions making me want to keep them shut, keeping whatever is there away from me.

'Where am I? Who is 'Twilight' and 'Rainbow Dash'? Why is the back of my head feel warm, and wet… but not like water?'

"Look, Twilight, I will prove that this… well, that it's not dangerous, watch" that second, something like a large, round nub pressed itself on my chest, pain more devastating than lightning building up to my imminent detection.

"Hello Mr. Minotaur-Monkey-thing" screamed 'Rainbow Dash' in my ear, "You awake in there? Well I guess I will have to prod you with this stick to make sure, won't I-AAAHHHHH" She finished, screaming like a schoolgirl, tearing my eardrums apart.

'that's the final straw' I thought, my eyes ripping open, my arms and legs flailing like a fish out of water.

"It's alive! It's alive! It's alive!" Rainbow Dash screamed again. I turned my head to where I heard her… to see…

"A horse!" I yelled, trying to get up from the floor.

"It talks!" Screamed the blue horse in response.

"'ENOUGH!' shouted Twilight, a purple wave engulfing everything around me in its aura.

"Twi!" The frozen Winged-horse said through her frozen jaw, "wah giphs!?" She tried to say.

"Sorry Rainbow, but I had to." The purple horn-horse replied, another flash of purple coming from her horn, "Now you may speak properly, but the… giant first." She ended, looking at me curiously.

'what do I say? Where am I? What is this purple stuff? And why are their talking horses!?' I thought, my next action a possible life or death situation.

"just calm down' I tried to tell myself, I just have to-

"Can you even talk?" The purple horse asked, walking slowly towards me.
