The best young flyers competition, why did she have to enter? Rainbow Dash kept  pushing against the invisible barrier. She wouldn't give in, she couldn't let Rarity down! If she didn't break free- Creak! "N-no. NO!" Rainbow's wing snapped. She couldn't feel the pain but she knew, she knew she wouldn't make it. The clouds whipped by as white streaks, Clouds-dale floating a few hundred feet above her. "RARITY!" Everything had been going wrong, first her friend entering the young flyers competition, her friends disappearing from the stands, all her tricks failing. But now she had failed truly and irrevocably. "Hahahaha that all you have Rainbow Dash?" A voice seemed to float around her as her friend was swallowed by the swirling dark mass of storm clouds under them. Falling. Her wing was broken there was nothing left for her to do, just fall into the same storm clouds that swallowed Rarity and... disappear. Blackness, shadow, hints of lightning. That was all she could feel, smell hear. Emptiness beyond anything she had known before. Rainbow Dash opened her eyes all around was black and grey, like color had been sucked out. Even her own colors were muted. "Not so great now huh?" The voice echoed again. "What? Who's there! Show yourself!" Rainbow cried out, fear starting to grip her heart. No matter where she looked there was no one. "Really Rainbow Dash? Forgotten me already? I should be hurt. But I have better friends now." Yellow. That was the first color Rainbow Dash had seen since entering the world of darkness. All around her streaks of lightning ran up and down the cloudy surface, increasing in intensity until- Boom Blue lightning shattered Rainbows sight just as the boom shattered her hearing. The first thing Rainbow Dash heard as her hearing returned was hysterical laughter, the first sight was a aqua face sneering right in front of her. "Ack!" Rainbow scooted backwards trying to get her heartbeat under control. "L-Lightning Dust? Is that you?" She managed to stammer out. Lightning Dust grinned. "Aw is Rainbow Dash afraid of a little lightning?" "Lightning whats going on?!" "Oh nothing hehehahahaha!" Lighting Dust's little chuckle evolved into a full blown laugh, a flick of her hair and Rainbows eyes rolled into her head. The last thing she knew was the world going black before refocusing into a familiar forest, a rope bridge behind her. "Wait a sec, I... I know this place!" The Tall creepy trees, the long powerful shadows, even the whisper of a screaming wind all helped give this place a horror inducing life. "And you should." Lightning Dust's voice echoed around, creepy and foreboding. Fog rolled in front of her before parting. The Shadow Bolts walked out. No, only one, the one who tried to get her to betray her friends. The only difference is the one had a black metal necklace, spikes ringing around it. The dark blue lighting bolt pendant swinging in the breeze. "Know this," The Shadow bolt said before pulling off her hood, Lightning Dust Smiling evilly. "The next time we meet after you wake up, I will kill you and your friends. Count on it." Lighting Dust then lunged, Tearing into her with black metal blades that sprung into being, Lighting Dust all the while laughed. A scream tore itself out of Rainbow's throat as she sat up in bed, sweat dripping of her. "Wha- what was THAT!"
