Chant Circle has dedicated most of his life to studying the genetics of ponykind and improving them through the use of magic. Although he pursues positive goals like extending the lifespan of ponies or enhancing immunity to disease, th magical discipline he chose is far from popular, which is strongly implied by the common nickname "Black Magic" for it.

Undeterred by the opinion of others and possible personal loss Chant and his "coworkers" are bringing their most important creation, artificial improved pony, to its final stages. Yet thing rarely go smoothly when you expect them to.

This story is written as a birthday present for WeLCxAlphaPuppy and takes place in the same universe as his Waking eyes.
