Chapters The Rise of the Rose Heart Kingdom
In a faraway land, in a place where magic is like no other, there was a Kingdom that was told to hold a great power of crystals that can heal any wounds or sickness of any kind. The name for this Kingdom was known as the Rose Heart Kingdom. It was ruled by a great king, noble and just, also loved by all. One day when the king passed on he decided to give the kingdom and the throne to his daughter’s Princess Crystal Rose Heart and Fuchsia. The two shared the power of the kingdom and ruled the land with a peaceful heart. But sometimes in the most pure lands, there can be a great chaos. In the northern lands of the world, lived a kingdom ruled by an evil and vile king named King Thunder, who raged war on the Rose Heart Kingdom and caused the deaths of many brave ponies, and stallions that gave their lives to defend their homes. For days and years the two kingd0ms fought for ages and never ceased. This grieved the two sisters much, for if they lose this war, they would lose their homes and for their loyal subjects too. One night as Rose was waking in the garden of her kingdom she heard a faint cry of a young filly at the gate way.
She ran towards the entrance where she found a stallion who was badly hurt, carrying a basket and laid near it. The princess called each of her guards to see who he was, but the stallion grabbed the princess and whispered a faint word in Roses ears. As he finished saying his words, the stallion drew his last breath and closed his eyes to fall asleep, only to be never woken. The princess walked up to the basket and pulled the covers away, only to find a little filly crying his eyes out. Rose felt a deep wound in her heart, how could somepony pass away when he has a little brother to take care of. She picked him up and discovered that he had wings, but they weren’t Pegasus wings; they were dragon wings! She hurried over to her uncle, Captain Disk Horn who automatically knew who he was. He explained that this filly was a Draconian; a rare type of species of pony and dragons mixed. They were to rule the land of Equestria and bring good luck, some bad, but the uncle wasn’t going to take that chance of having the kingdom destroyed, he order her to get rid of him , but Crystal refused and swore that she would raise him as her brother.
The uncle saw that Rose was a responsible one and sighed a bit. He said she could keep him, if only he use his powers for good and not evil. Rose swore that she would teach him and give him lessons. The uncle went to bed and Rose went to her chambers. She showed the filly draconian to her sister. The younger said that they should name him. Rose looked at him and saw he was already asleep. She then saw that he had a star of the brightest night and a shield on it. Rose thought carefully and finally gave him the name; Star Shield. And the two sisters giggled a bit, for they also had another heir to the throne, a Prince.

The land of the Rose Heart Kingdom was quiet at the rising sun. The sound of the calm and gentle breeze of the wind blowing with the sweet scent of flowers match the beauty of the morning. But sometimes there can be a little noise in the kingdom. Star Shield was in the barracks up early training with his uncle Disk Horn, who was giving him tips on how to form a saber from his horn and use it as a sword.
“Gasp! This is too much for me uncle; can I stop for just a little while?” Star complained as he turned to his uncle who was blowing smoke from his pipe in his mouth.
No, we can’t. We must get you ready for battle one day, so try again,” Disk Horn alleged as he took his pipe from his mouth and blew a little smoke ring in the air.
“But I’ve been practicing since dawn. When is this going to end?” Star said as he stomp his hoof on a wooden dummy.
“Boy, we’ve only been practicing for two minutes!” Disk Horn grunted as he put his pipe in his mouth.
“Really, wow! It feels like we’ve been doing this for an hour,” Star now realizing that. His uncle got up from his seat and walked over to Star.
“Listen here Star. Have a seat; I want to tell you something,” Disk Horn alleged as he led Star to a table and sat down.
“I’ve known you since you were a little filly, and it’s been an honor to see you grow up as a young, responsible draconian. But I need you to focus. We’ve been in war for at least five years and we need all the help we can get. I’m doing this so that you can be ready to defend your home against evaders. Your sisters have more responsibility’s to do as well, being princess’s and all, but you’re next to rule as well. Can you understand what I’m saying to you?” Disk asked as he looked straight onto Star’s eyes.
“Look I know what I have to do, but I’m just not ready for that. Can you understand?” Star answered his uncle. Disk Horn scratches his beard and sighed a bit.
“Did I tell you the time when I was just like you?” Disk questioned to Star, who looked surprised.
“There was a time, when you were like me?” Star said as he widened his eyes in amazement.
“Yeah, I was just like you. I was too young, to shy, and had a lot of inexperienced.” He laughed a bit when Star objected that comment. Disk continued to talk. “But then my father told me something, he said that we all have things and duty’s we need to do, some are good others bad, but we need to realize that we need to act up and stand firm. Even if they do seem rough, we need to act up; I know your father did,” Disk commented and gave Star a moment to realize it to. Then the two were interrupted by a messenger who came into the barracks.
“Excuse me Captain and my lord, but Crystal Rose Heart demands the captain to see her immediately,” The messenger announced.
“Well, I better go and see what your sister wants. Probably want to chew my head off again about having you sent down here too early to train,” Disk grunted and got up. “Think about what I said Star, in the meantime; practice you sword and shape up on your studying, I know you can learn how to do I,.” Disk finally said and departed the barrack room. Star looked outside the barrack window and looked at the kingdom.
“If only I knew how to rule a kingdom. But I’m sure that I can do it,” Star said and heard the clock tower ring, and knew that he was a dead pony today. “Oh man I forgot about the flying lessons with Fuchsia at Cherry hill, man; uncles got me training so much that I forget to do my other duty’s!” Star complained and ran out the barrack quickly to meet with his sister. He ran as fast as he can and took flight off the ground. The way how the wind was blowing in his face was so great that he felt free. He saw his sister waiting impatiently for him and Star flew fast as a rocket. Fuchsia Sparkle was on the top of the hill and was still waiting for her brother.
“Hey Fuchsia! Up here!” Star shouted and landed right next to her.
“Star, were you training with uncle again at the barracks?” Fuchsia asked.
“You have no idea what training he is putting me through,” Star answered.
“Right, well today I want to put your skill to the test. I want you to fly to the border of our land and back before sundown, then I’ll let Rose know that you’re ready to fly by yourself,” Fuchsia ordered.
“Still treating me like I’m a baby? Star questioned.
“Well, it’s only the last day of your flying test, might as well get started,” Fuchsia said.
“Okay, before sundown? Alright then, I’ll do it for you and for Rose in a flash,” He alleged.
Hey Star, is that you? I’m coming down.” A voice shouted above them.
“Well, hello Fuchsia, how are you doing?” A Pegasus named Shade Tail asked as he landed next to Star.
“Well, if it isn’t Shade, great you can help Star keep track of his timing,” Fuchsia ordered.
“Yes mam!” Shade shouted.
“Now if you excuse me, I have to meet up with uncle and sister in the throne room,” And after that Fuchsia flew off.
“Wow that was weird. So you ready?” Shade asked Star as he spread his wing open.
‘Lest do this, then friend,” Star alleged and the two of them flew up and dashed to the mountain. The two of them were having a blast and also were writing down mistakes to re-do and go over. As they got to the mountain by almost sundown the sky turned gray a little and the wind was a little rough to keep still.
“Yo Star! I think a storm is brewing, let’s get back now that we reached this mountain,” Shade yelled as he covered his eyes from the gust.
“Yeah okay-! Wait Shade look down there!” Star pointed and saw what looks like a village that was burned down.
“Lest go down and see if anypony is alright,” Star shouted to Shade and the two ascended down from the sky. As they approached the ground they saw that this was the village of Rainbow valley.
“What the hay happened here?” Shade asked as he picked up a piece of a burnt scroll.
“I think what happened here was done by something big.” Star said as he kicked a stick. Then in the rubble they heard a faint groan and saw a hoof coming out of the rubble.
“Star over there! It looks like a villager is hurt!” Shade shouted and the two ran to the debris site. As they removed the burnt wood they saw a pony with a big bruise.
“What happened here, who are you?” Star said as he picked up the pony. The pony was weak and was barely breathing.
“We need to get out of the opening. Whatever did this might be still here. We’ll take her to the kingdoms medical room,” Shade alleged and the two helped the wounded pony back to the kingdom. As they approached the kingdom they brought the wounded pony to the infirmary. They watch the medics bandage up the wounded pony and placed her on the bed.
“She is going to be alright. She needs to rest. But can you describe how she was like this?” the medic asked.
“We don’t know. We found her like this in the Rainbow Valley, or what’s left of it,” Star confirmed. They also reported that they saw huge foot prints and claw marks on the village buildings and assume that the town was devastated by something big. The doctor rubs his chin and shrugged telling the two to get some food, and with that the medics left.
“Well, I’m a little famished. What about you Star?” Shade replied.
“You know I’ll stay with our guest and keep her company. You go ahead and eat, if you meet my sister, tell her that we completed our drill,” Star said. Shade agreed and left the medic room. Star was looking at the pony and examined her wounds.
“I wonder what happened,” Star said as he got a wet rag and placed it on the pony’s head. Just then the pony gasped and was panicking.
“He…Help me…Somepony help!” The pony screamed and started to go nuts. Star put his hoof on her head and put a relaxation spell on her.
“Easy, easy there. You’re alright, you’re in the hospital,” Star alleged as he put the rag back on the pony’s head.
“Wh…what happened?” The pony asked as she looked around the room.
“That’s what I want to know. My friend and I found you under a pile of rubble in the Rainbow Valley,” Star explained how Shade and he brought her to the Rose Heart Kingdom and took her in.
“I…I’m in the Rose Heart Kingdom?” The pony asked.
“Yes, and I’m the Prince of it, the names Prince Star Shield,” Star announced.
“Then you have to help me. The village was attacked by a group of soldiers, or what look like beasts,” The pony said.
“What kind of beasts?” Star asked in concernment.
“They had dark armor, with shadow skin and red eye’s that could give anypony fear in a heartbeat. They also had a flag with a diamond snake and a moon behind it.” The pony told Star that they attacked the village to find something but never did. Star knew who they were and had a shiver going down his spine.
“Listen. You need to rest. I’ll help you and do whatever it takes to build the village back,” Star said as he lifted his hoof and places it on his heart, which was a sign of promise.
“Thank you, my Liege. My name is Winter Breeze,” She pronounced.
“Well then, it’s nice to meet you Winter Breeze,” Star said as he pulled a blanket on her and placed another wet rag and places it on the pony’s head, which fell asleep. Star got up and left the medic chamber to go see his uncle. Star ran passed the corridor and came into the throne room, to see uncle having a little snack with his sisters.
“Star there you are. Where in the world were you? We were about to send a search party to find you,” Rose said as she got up and hugged him.
“Listen to me, we don’t have much time, and it’s important,” Star alleged and gave uncle a serious face.
“What seems to be the trouble son?” Disk Horn asked as he shifted and turned to meet Star dead straight in the eye. Star closed the doors behind him and shut the curtains as well. It was only the four in a room that had a lit fire place. As star saw that the coast was clear he spoke.
“It’s about King Thunder’s forces. They’ve passed the border and already destroyed a village. Me and Shade were flying to the border and found a pony named Winter Breeze, who was the only survivor and brought her back here,” Star explained, and also told them that the forces destroyed an entire village and there were no other survivors than Winter Breeze, the pony that survived. As Star finished his story this worried Disk Horn.
“If that is true, then we need to fan our forces. We need to make sure that every place in the Equestria is safe from King Thunder’s wraith,” Disk Horn announced.
“But how can we do that? Our forces are already thin and were already suffering a loss of a village,” Rose asked.
“We need to ally with another kingdom; one’s who are strong and willing to fight against Thunders raid,” Disk Horn alleged and got up and opened the curtains and the doors.
“I’ll have the mission brief tomorrow, until then we need to rest our eyes. Star I want you to pack your stuff today before you sleep. I got a place where you can write a treaty to,” And with that Disk Horn left the chamber in silence.
“Guess we better do what uncle said. We better sleep, but Star you should pack at least everything, I have a feeling that uncle is about to send you to a faraway place to live in.” Rose said.
“But this is my home; I’m not ready for-!” Star was interrupted by roses hoof on his mouth.
“Listen I was young too, but I stood up and knew the responsibility’s I had to take, you should too,” Rose said.
“Just remember, you’re not alone, you got uncle, us, Shade and Meteor-! Hey where is Meteor Head?” Fuchsia asked.
“I’m right here. Star, as one of Captain Disk Horn’s trusted men, my advice to you is that you to leave right now, I talked with your uncle and he agreed my wisdom. Pack your stuff, you leave today, and also you’ll be with a friend.” Meteor Head said as he moved a bit aside, to show Winter Breeze standing behind him.
“Hey, I thought I told you to rest?” Star said.
“I did. Meteor Head gave me a sapphire crystal to heal my wounds, and then I was all better,” Winter said.
“Winter here says that she knows every known kingdom, country and place in the world, if you’re traveling tonight, you’ll need a guide.” Meteor said as he approached Star with a bag.
“Here. These are the crystals that I sorted out for you, use them wisely and conserve them too. You’ll be heading to a place called Canterlot. There you will meet an alicorn princess named Princess Twilight Sparkle. Sign the treaty with her, and come back home, no exceptions,” Meteor finished saying and left Winter Breeze in the room with the three royal families.
“So, you’ll be my traveling pony?” Star said.
“Yes, I traveled a lot and I know every place in Equestria,” Winter said proudly.
“Well, looks like you’ll be gone soon, remember to write to us,” Rose said as she fixed Stars jacket.
“I will, and you too,” Star said das he hugged his family for the time being. Star looked out the window and saw that a carriage was there for him, and his stuff was already packed by his best friend. He walked down the stairs and came into the courtroom where he saw his buddy Shade standing next to it.
“Don’t worry; the unicorns placed a spell on the carriage that will stop when you reach your destination,” Disk Horn said, and looked into the eyes of his nephew. “Remember, if the enemy follows you, protect the village and the kingdom that you’re at, even if you don’t know those kingdoms that much, protect it, even if it means to give your life, understand?” Disk asked as he held star one last time.
“I do uncle, and I’ll make sure that that treaty is signed,” Star said. He walked to the carriage and saw his friend standing next to the door.
“Well, so long friend. I just got sent to the front lines to prevent Thunder’s forces From the border of our home land,” Shade said.
“Be careful and look after my family too,” Star said as he bro hoofed his friend and step into the carriage. He and Winter were riding away from the kingdom and Star looked out from the carriage window. He saw his home far away and it looked so faint, Star knew this was going to be a long trip so he looked over to Winter Breeze who was already asleep and decided to do the same, he then closed is eyes’ and sleep.
The night sky was light up with stars and the sound of the gentle breeze of wind blowing was peaceful enough too. Star was too stress to sleep and decides to stay up a little. He looks out of his carriage and noticed that he sees light ahead.
“Hey, Winter Breeze, there it is. What’s that place called?” Star asked. Winter woke up and rubbed her eyes a bit and saw the town clearly.
“Well, according to my map that I have here that should be the town of…Ponyville,” Winter confirmed and looked down at the town. The two then felt there carriage shake a little and started to ascended from the sky a bit.
“Guess the magic is wearing off. That means this is the destination that we have to stay, prepare to land,” Star announced as he grabbed his bag and tied the strap around it. As they ascended from the sky they saw that the village was celebrating a festival.
“Winter, what does this mean?” Star asked.
“It says here in the book that -!” Then she saw a figure in the sky and looked like she saw a ghost. Winter then grabbed Star and they both hid in a bush.
“What…? What’s the matter?” Star questioned.
“Star it’s one of those things that I said to about and one of them is here,” Winter said as she grabbed on to Stars arm.
“Then we have to stop it, before it can get to the villagers,” Star looked at the ground and saw that they were at the bottom already and behind a huge tree.
“Winter, stay here with the cart, and if anything happens, don’t move,” Star said as he jump off and ran to the festival to see if it’ attack. Winter stayed in the carriage and started to read more from the book of Equestria. Star ran as fast as he can and saw that the beast found him. The beast landed right in front of him and as in the shadows to hide itself from Star.
“Well, if it isn’t the young prince,” The voice snickered.
“Leave now, you don’t belong here!” Star shouted. The figure twisted its head to the side and smiled a wicked grin,
“Neither do you!” It shouted and as fast as a bullet it smacked Star right in the face and blasted him through a stand which a pony had set up. The pony folk were wondering who this was, then they saw the beast and panicked.
“Star, it’s a scout, take him down!” Winter shouted from the crowd of panicking ponies. Easy for you to say, you’re behind that cookie stand and I’m fighting a beast of death here. Star got up and stood his ground to face the monster.
“Is that all you got?” Star said. He then concentrated his power to his horn and tried to form a star sword, but was still not enough. The beast laughs and then twisted his neck side to side.
“My turn!” the beast shouted and ran at Star. It grabbed him by the leg and threw him at another stand which had apples for half price. Star got up and turned around to see that he beast was already in his face and almost slashed Star in half, but Star evaded the attack and kicked the monster in the face, causing it to go flying into a trinket stand.
“Winter, how do I defeat this punk?” Star shouted. Winter went back to the chariot and saw a box. She opened it and found a book of monsters. She opened it and saw the picture of the beast that Star was fighting.
“Star that beast is a Troll Knight. It says here that it is weak to the smell of sweet roses, causing it to blind them!” Winter shouted. She looked around and saw a flower stand. She ran and picked out a red rose and threw it to Star who caught it.
“Okay, so in order to defeat you, I need to use flower power!” Star screamed and charged at the beast. Star did a low kick, causing g the thing to trip and Star lifted his other leg and smacked downed the thing. The best got up but was blinded by the rose that Star had crunched up in his hoofs and blew the pollen plus the rose peddles at it.
“Gah! Curse you!” The beast yelled and tried to hit Star but missed.
“Now here are my last words, lights out!” Star screamed and jumped and did a barrage kick to the head of the beats. The thing blew up the ground and made a huge explosion that t rocked the entire village. As the smoke cleared Star stood victorious as he trampled down his enemy.
“Star that…was…Awesome!” Winter Breeze squealed and jumped up and down.
“My uncle is right, they never travel this far, whatever is driving King Thunders men this far, it means one thing…Can you guess?” Star asked Winter Breeze.
“Uh, he wants more land to conquer?” Winter alleged.
Not only that, he’s weak, he is running out of power and strength. This may be our moment to strike at him, but first a job has to be done, we need that treaty signed and ally many kingdoms to help us.” Star explained.
“What the hay happened here?” a voice cried out from the crowed. Star and Winter turned around to see that the festival was ruined and that the ponies were sad.
“Uh, Winter was this festival important?” Star questioned.
“It says here that they do this to celebrate the Winter Wrap up, it’s called The Winter Wrap up Festival,” Winter commented.
“Hey excuse me mister! Did you cause this?” a voice called from the crowed and walked to Star and Winter.
“Who are you?” Star asked.
“What! Who am I? I’m the funniest pony in Equestria, I’m Pinkie Pie. And you sir are who?” Pinkie asked.
“My name is Prince Star Shield, and this is my assistant Winter Breeze,” Star announced and caused Pinkie to shout.
“You’re a Prince?!” Pinkie shouted and the whole village looked at the middle of the three ponies. This made Star very tense.
“Yes, I’m a Prince and I was wondering where do I find Princess Twilight Sparkle, I need to speak to her, it’s important,” Star alleged.
“Oh, Twilight is at her tree house for the Winter Wrap up festival. Come this way.” Pinkie alleged and led Star and Breeze to Twilights place. Pinkie knocked at the door and Apple Jack opened it.
“There you are Pinkie, where were you?” Apple Jack asked.
“Hey AJ, where’s Twilight?” Pinkie asked.
“She’s over there opening her gift from us. Come on in. Whoa, who are the two pony guests?” Apple Jack whispered to Pinkie.
“Oh, this is Star Shield and Winter Breeze, they need to see Twilight, it’s really important.” Pinkie said as she introduced the two to Apple Jack.
“Okay, I don’t see why. Hey Twilight you got visitors!” Apple Jack shouted. Pinkie went in followed by Star and Winter.
“Listen Winter, I need you to keep silent and talk if I start to go a little slow, okay?” Star whispered to Winter as they walked in.
“Okay, you can count on me,” Winter Breeze said. They walked into Twilight’s tree house and saw Twilight having a blast and a great time.
“Excuse me, Princess Twilight Sparkle?” Star announced and bowed to show respect.
“Oh, hi there young pony’s what brings you to my library?” Twilight said as she smiled at them.
“My assistant and I need to talk to you, it’s about a great evil, and I need your help,” Star said and gave the mare six a shock.
“What is it?” Twilight asked and looked serious.
“I think it’s best if we talked in private.” Star alleged.
“Anything you got to say, you can say it in front of my friends.” Twilight announced.
“Sigh. Okay then, we need your help. I need you to sign a treaty for me. My home, the Rose Heart Kingdom is under a great war and is low on men and assistance, if you signed a treaty with us it would help,” Star said.
“I never heard of your kingdom,” Twilight said.
“That’s because were a silent and quiet place, our home is in the southern part of Equestria erased from your maps because our kingdom possesses a rare type of material of crystals,” Star pronounced.
“What kind of crystals?” Rarity asked.
“These crystals are none you’ve seen before. One bite from these ones can fill the stomach of a grown filly, stallion, and mare for at least ten days and if you extract the magic dust in them, you can use them as a potion that can cure any type of sickness, disease and wound in the world. It also has a rumor that if you share this power and use it for good, the powers will last forever. But if it I used for evil, the power will unbalance and the world will end,” Star gravely announced.
“Wait, then how can this be, this is just a bit of a supernatural tale,” Twilight said.
“Here allow me to show you,” Star said. He walked up to a fruit knife that was on the counter and cut himself in the arm. The others were all shocked at this and horrified.
“Quickly Apple Jack, fetch me the medic kit!” Twilight yelled
“No need. Winter Breeze my bag, hand me the red one.” Star ordered and was given a red crystal. Star used the knife and cut the crystal in half. He placed it on his wound and sprinkled a bit of dust on it, and in two seconds flat, his wound was healed. The girls and Winter were surprised at this and Twilight then believed.
“Okay now that was awesome! Can I try it?” Rainbow Dash shouted.
“Hold it Rainbow, I should try it first, it may help heal Big Mac’s wound on his side,” Apple Jack insisted.
“Now, now darling, if anyone should have that crystal, it’s me. Your name is Star right? Can I pretty please have that?” Rarity flattered her eyes and caused Star to blush a bit.
“Hey, I want to try that, he said it can fill the stomach of anypony, I want to try it!” Pinkie shouted as she tried to take it from Star but failed as Star lifted her up and placed her behind her friends.
“Can I try that?” Spike said as he walked up to Star drooling and looking hungry. Star looked down and saw Spike and gave him a chill.
“Whoa! A real talking dragon! I never seen a dragon, but I’ve always heard them from uncle’s stories.” Star exclaimed.
“What’s your name?” Star asked.
“My name is Spike the dragon, and you’re Star?” Spike answered.
“That’s right; I’m Star Shield, Prince of the Rose Heart Kingdom,” Star announced and gave the ponies a gasp.
“Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that he’s a Prince, so yeah,” Pinkie Pie also added in the sentence.
“Then…What you’re telling me is that you’re a Prince from a faraway land?” Twilight added.
“That’s right. I came all the way here to ask you something, will you help us?” Star asked and lifted his hoof. Twilight knew this was also being part of a Princess, and she wasn’t willing powerful crystals like that to be used for evil.
“I’ll help, on one condition,” Twilight added.
“What is that?” Star asked.
“You tell me more about your crystal powers and about your kingdom,” Twilight stated. Star thought for a very short time, he walked towards Winter and whispered a few words. Then he turned to face Twilight and lifted his hoof again.
“It’s a deal,” Star said and shook hoofs with Twilight. The others screamed in joy.
“Now if you’ll all gather around,” Star asked and gathered the group to tell them about the kingdoms history.
“Long ago there lived a king, who ruled a great kingdom powerful and just, he was loved by all, he had two daughters who will one day inherit the throne from him. One day they received that their neighbors to the west grew blood lust and hungry for power against us. The king went to battle and fought gallantly, but sadly like every great hero, he faded. The two Princess knew what they had to do, and were now in charge of the kingdom with the protection from their uncle. They were told that their kingdom were rich of pure Rose crystals. These crystals were made once every thousands of years,” Star explained that the Princess’s also trained stallions and mares to fight for their land, and many blood was shed on both sides. He also explained on how he is a prince, but he wasn’t of royal blood.
“Wait, if you’re a Prince then how-!” Twilight was interrupted by Stars hoof.
“I was only a filly when they found me. They said I was adopted by my sister Princess Crystal Rose Heart and she saw something in me that no other pony saw. She took me in, feed me, gave me a family, and my uncle is captain of the royal guard, he goes by the name Disk Horn of the Rose Heart Kingdom. He taught me how to fight and defend my land, my sisters Rose and Fuchsia taught me political and negotiation tactics to help me to do what I’m doing now.” Star added. Twilight looked grieved at his story.
“Listen I‘d like to help you, and I will, but you also have to talk to Princess Celestia and Luna to see if they are willing to help as well.” Twilight stated.
“Then I hope you don’t mind me and my assistant to stay here for a while until your highnesses arrive?” Star asked
“Not at all, you’re welcomed to stay at my place,” Twilight offered.
“That would be an honor,” Star agreed, but Rainbow Dash wasn’t going to let Twilight take the goods for herself.
“Wait, he has wings, so he should sleep with me in my cloud so he should see a great view from my place!” Rainbow Dash suggested.
“That would be fun, I’d loved to-!” Star was interrupted by Fluttershy.
“Wait, don’t you love animals? I can give you a great hospitality from my pests.” Fluttershy stated.
“I’m sure that would be fun, but-!” Star was blocked out by Pinkie how was jumping in Star’s face, and hugging him to death.
“He should sleep with me, so that he could help me with the babies Mr., and Mrs. Cake has!” Pinkie insisted.
“Well, that is nice but-!” Star was interrupted by Apple Jacks offer.
“Wait a darn minute. He can sleep at my place, so I could, uh you know at least give him some food to eat and to his assistant.” Apple Jack said.
“Well I’m sure we-! Star was again blocked out by Rarity.
“If any Prince should sleep anywhere is with me. At least my house is comfortable for a Prince like you.” Rarity added. The girl’s started to grab him by each limb and started to pull him apart like he was some puffy doll.
“Um actually…why don’t we… all have… a sleep over… here… at… Twilights place!” Star strained as he was talking and was released at once. The prince took in five deep breaths as Winter Breeze was patting him on the back. The girls looked at each other and came to an agreement. That night the girls had a sleep over and Winter Breeze was having a blast. She was already friends with them and Star was friends with Spike who he was helping him sort the library out.
“Looks like the girls are having fun,” Star said as he put a book on stars in the S section.
“Hey Star, if you said you never saw a dragon, then how do you know what I looked like?” Spike said as he swept the floor.
“My uncle, Captain Disk Horn, use to tell me stories of how he use to fight dragons. My favorite story of him fighting dragons is the one where he fought in a war called the Dragonlorian Wars’ and boy were they gruesome and fierce,” Star sighed as he placed a misplaced book back on the shelf.
“Wait, the Dragon what?” Spike asked.
“The Dragonlorian Wars. It was a war against the fiercest and toughest dragons of all; they were the first threat to the kingdom and Equestria. Before Celestia and Luna became princesses and ruled Canterlot, the Dragonlorians ruled it with an iron claw. They said they would take over Equestria and bring peace and justice to those who resisted. My uncle was only a royal guard’s man, my father said that they’re view of a peaceful world would only bring chaos and destruction. So he sends my uncle and his best soldiers to fight this civil war."
"My uncle was only a trooper but he and his men were fearless. My sisters said the he handled off an entire battalion of dragons single handedly with only five of his best stallions, who were on the verge of dying, but in the end they were victorious. He was then moved up to Captain Disk Horn, captain of the royal guards. He knew how the dragons acted and fought for years and won many battles, but one battle brought us down. The dragonlorians decided to do an attack on the Rose Heart Kingdom when our main forces attacked a decoy of armies that attack one of our villages."
"The battle was fierce and some of the ponies therein the kingdom were only rookies. We lost a lot of great ponies that day, some were even my uncle’s best friends, but in the end my father King Rain Cloud defeated the dragonlorians and cast them off to the far end of the world, never to be seen again,” Star finished as he placed the last book in the shelf and turned to see Spike all hyped up.
“Whoa. Your uncle must’ve been a great stallion,” Spike said.
“He was. He said that no matter the cost, know your limitations, otherwise you’ll kill yourself, but if you think you can win, never give up, and keep moving forward,” Star announced and gave Spike the goosebumbs of excitement. Spike then felt tired and heard over down stairs that the girls were telling each other stories. Spike went to his bed and looked at Star.
“Hey Star, do you know any good stories?” Spike said as he grabbed a pillow and lay down on his bed.
“Well. There is one; it’s about the Elements of harmonies seventh holder,” Star said.
“Wait, a seventh element of harmony? I thought there were only six; Laughter, Kindness, Generosity, Loyalty, Honesty, and Magic,” Spike said as he jolted up in a surprised way.
“Yes, normally there is. But there is one special element that holds and binds the other elements, brings them together as one,” Star exclaimed.
“What is this element?” Spike asked. Star sat up straight on a comfortable pillow and began his story.
“Long ago, before the time of chaos and destruction, there lived a young alicorn, who knew that the elements were used as tools to combine the powers of harmony. There were six kinds: Generous, Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Loyalty, and Magic. But the alicorn knew that without the main element that held the others intact, the elements would be useless. This element was known as…the Element of Peace. “The element of Peace helps hold the powers of the others together, making sure that they would not fall under any dark spell, and keeping peace to Equestria,” Star also explained that the six elements were made by the souls of the six heroes who used them, but the element of light is the most powerful of all.
“They say that the other elements were all chosen by the souls of their user’s power, just like Twilight and her friends. But the element of Peace is different,” Star added.
“How different was it?” Spike asked as he clenched onto his pillow.
“They say that the sixth element was never found until the other elements came together and magic sparks the elements of harmony. Well the seventh element is going to be difficult, because since there is no peace, the seventh element can never be found,” Star explained. Spike was confused as ever.
“How is that possible?” Spike asked in confusion.
“No pony knows. Some have tried to go on many adventures to find this element, hoping that they would be remembered as heroes, but many have failed, because the power of the Peace can only be held with a pure heart of unquestionable honor. Then, and only then will the element show itself,” Star pronounced and looked into the moon.
“Wow. I never knew the elements had another source,” Spike said as he covered himself in his blanket and lied down in his bed. “Hey, maybe one day we will go and find the seventh element together. What do you think Star?” Spike
“I think that would be a great idea, but for now, just rest,” Star said as he tucked Spike in. He looks at the small dragon and this reminded him of how he was this small and his sisters always looked after him. He walked down the stairs and saw that the girls were still having a blast. Star turned around and went to Twilights balcony and star gazed.
The Rise of the Rose Heart Kingdom
As he continued to look he noticed that there was a light of some kind and was wondering where it was coming from. Star jump from Twilights balcony and landed softly on the ground. He followed the light even though it was told to a lot of ponies, to not go into the light. He continued to follow it and saw what looks like a pony in a hood holding a case with a royal Rose family sign on it.
“That’s one of the Rose Heart Kingdoms seals! What is that box and what is that pony doing with it?” Star whispered. He continued to follow the pony to the edge of the Everfree Forest and entered it. Star had to keep quiet and a good pace away just enough to see where the pony was heading. He continued to walk until he reached the end of the forest and came upon a shack that looked abandoned. He crept up to the door way and opened the door. The door creaked loud and Star walked silently into the eerie, shadowy, house. He saw a room that had lights lit up and the box was in the middle of the room.
“Hmm, this looks like a trap. But that box belongs to the Royal Rose Family, it must be taken back,” Star ran into the room and grabbed the box, but when he turned around he saw the entrance was blocked by the pony that he followed.
“I knew you would follow me, Star Shield,” The pony said as she walked a little closer to him.
“Stay back or I’ll hurt you! I’m not afraid to hurt a girl,” Star exclaimed. The pony giggled and smiled at him. Star knew that whenever you see someone do that, you know it’s either good or bad. For Star, it’s usually bad.
“Easy there tiger, I’m not here to hurt you. I saved that box from a group who raided your Family temple just yesterday, and I thought I’d hang onto it,” The pony said. Star was getting suspicious and wanted to know who this crazy chick was!
“Who are you, and how do you know my name?” Star asked. The pony laughs at Star, causing to freak him out more.
“Where are my manners, I’m Sunshine Dash, your sister,” Sunshine said as she removed her hood and revealed her wigs; there were the same as Star’s.
“M…MY SISTER!?” Star blew out.
“Yes, you see Star; I’m your real sister. Rose and Fuchsia are your adopted sisters. When you were little our race was coming to an end, your brother Saturn Star was wounded during a raid on our village. He never left your side when you were born. When the raiders came, they destroyed everything and were vicious. Now only you and I are left. After I learned that you brother past away, and you were living in the Rose Heart Kingdom I decided to lay low and let you grow up, until the time was right,” Sunshine said.
“What time?” Star asked. Sunshine walked up to her little brother and look into his eyes.
“Star, you were meant to rule our village as our leader, but now since you’re a king, you have to protect your other family and Equestria. King Thunder’s forces have already attacked the Changeling Kingdom and enslaved all of the changelings. As soon as the sun rises Queen Chrysalis will come to ponyville and ask for help. None of the ponies will help, because she tried to take over Canterlot and Equestria, but what about you?” Sunshine said. Star had a look on his face and knew that she was evil, she did tried to take over Canterlot and Equestria, but as a Rose knight, they’re dedicated to help anypony as they can, no matter the cost of their sins. And also he always wanted to see a changeling face to face, but not their Queen, this is going to be Star’s lucky day.
“I’m going to help her, and all of the kingdoms,” Star said.
“That’s my little boy. All your life when you were a baby you wanted to help other ponies, well, now do that. And i have to be off,” Sunshine said. Star protested.
“Wait if you’re my sister, shouldn’t we get some catching up to do?” Star said. Sunshine giggled and hugged her brother.
“Star, when the time comes, I’ll help you. Until then you must rely on your friends to help you, and besides an old pal of yours is coming to ponyville,” Sunshine explained. Star was about to ask who, but Sunshine winked her eye and in a flash was gone. Star wondered who was his sister was talking about, an old friend? The only old friend he knows is! He then realized who it was. He picked up the box and ran as fast as he can back to ponyville, for he was going to see a friend that he knew when he was little and has been Roses comrade as well, he was going to get ready for the arrival of his best pal for life, Saberlight, a Rose heart knight and commander. As Star ran back to ponyville it was already day and he wasn’t tired at all. As he ran unto the village he saw Winter Breeze and the girls all gathered around in a circle around a strange pony. Star ran up to Winter and caught her by surprise.
“Star there you are. Where have you been? As soon as you left the ponies were yelling and called the princess are down from canterlot because Queen Chrysalis is here and she needs help, but apparently these ponies aren’t giving any,” Winter said. Star pushed through all the ponies until he came upon the changeling queen with a wounded changeling and begging for help.
“Please, just help him! I know I did a lot to you, but I need help. My home is gone and my children are enslaved, just help me!” Chrysalis pleaded.
“Why should we help you or that thing? You tried to kill us, ruin my brother’s wedding and tried to take over the world! And now you say you’re sorry?” Twilight shouted.
“Please, I know I made mistakes and stuff, but this is about a greater trouble! My kingdom fell, but not to an army, but just by one stallion, how can one little stallion take down an entire kingdom!?” Chrysalis screamed and gave the ponies a shock. Chrysalis’s kingdom was taken over by just one stallion? The mares six were shocked too. However the ponies will not help. The Star saw Luna and Celestia here as well, they must’ve got the call and came as soon as they received it.
“Even so, we will not help you! Guards take this queen and her wounded helper away!” Celestia shouted. Chrysalis tried to reason but they wouldn’t budge, But Star knew what he had to do, he pushed through the crowed and stood in front of Chrysalis. The ponies were shocked at this especially Winter Breeze.
“Listen boy move, we need to take her away so Stand aside,” The guard tried to push through Star but Star snarled at the guard and revealed his wings like he was guarding Chrysalis as his own sister.
“You will not take her away!” Star shouted.
“We are royal guardsmen of Princess Celestia and Luna! Who are you to deny us to take her away?” The guard said.
“I’m Prince Star Shield of the Rose Heart Kingdom!” Star announced and the guards were thinking he wasn’t serious, but Twilight ran up to Star and look a little frustrated.
“Star, what are you doing? Don’t you know who this is? This is-!” Before Twilight could even talk Star put his hoof on Twilights mouth to shut her up.
“I am aware of who she is. But as a Rose heart knight and a Prince, I have to do what is right,” Star said.
“Yeah and that means to put those who tried to ruin your life in jail!” Twilight shouted.
“Twilight, I know you have a grudge against Chrysalis, but in her heart she needs help,” Star walked up to Chrysalis and knelt down.
“So you’re Queen Chrysalis, I thought you were coming alone,” Star said. Chrysalis’s eyes were shocked.
“Did you know that I was?” Chrysalis left the other part for Star to finish.
“That you were coming? No, but a sibling of mine did, now let me see that boy there.” Star picked up the wounded changeling in his arms and placed him down; He grabbed his bag and pulled out a red crystal that he used on himself and grinded up the dust in it. He grinded up half of the crystal and placed in on the changelings wound and blew on it, then in ten seconds flat, the changeling’s wounds were gone. Chrysalis and the other ponies were amazed at this, Star then got the remaining crystals and made the changeling eat it, and then the little changer fell asleep.
“He’ll be alright. He just needs to rest,” Star said as he gave the child back to Chrysalis who started to cry in happiness. The others were wondering why this stallion was helping this changeling.
“Winter, send a letter to my uncle. Tell him King Thunders forces have expanded their territories to the north as well. Also tell him that I’ve made contact with the princess’s.” Star said. Winter didn’t hesitated and wrote down everything that Star told him to write. Celestia and Luna walked up and meet Star.
“You’re Prince Star Shield, the one who Twilight told us about?” Luna asks. Star turned and faces them.
“Yes. Yes I am. If Twilight had already told you, then I need an answer,” Star stated. Luna and Celestia looked at each other for a moment and nod. They turned to Star and spoke.
“We will fight for you,” Celestia said and Star was relieved. Winter was happy and the girls were joyful as well. The ponies were still wondering why he saved Chrysalis.
“T…Thank you,” Chrysalis said. Star smiled and nod. The ponies were going to throw a party to celebrate, but then a figure came out and interrupted the celebration.
“Star Shield, how long has it been old friend,” The figure removed his hood showing a unicorn with a bronze and gold armor, his mane as black as the darkest night, and his cutie mark a moon with three stars lining up around it. Star went up to the stallion.
“You got a lot of nerve coming here, after what you pulled,” Star said. At first the ponies thought they were enemies but then the hoof fist each other’s hoofs and laugh.
“You old rotten buster, it so great to see you again, how are you?” Star asked. Saber pulled away from Stars grip.
“Ah, you know, just hanging around, fighting for villages, hopping from land to land seeking either friend or foe, now I find both. I heard about that beast that attacked you last night,” Saber alleged.
“Oh, heh… You know?” Star said. Saber nod his head up and down.
“I even heard you’re trying to learn how to use the Saber Star Sword?” Saber said. Star laugh and kind of slowly nodded a yes. Saber chuckled and wraps his hoof around Star.
“Guess your training hasn’t improved itself yet after all these years,” Saber said and laughs. Winter walks up to Star with a confound look.
“Star, do you know this stallion?” Winter said. Star look at her and bobbed his head.
“His name is Saberlight Sparkle. He’s one of the commanders of our army and an old friend, kind of like an older brother,” Star said.
“Hey Star why don’t we show these ponies how we train back at home?” Saber said.
“I don’t know. I mean I can barely perform a Saber Star Sword,” Star said. Saber chuckled.
“I know it’s not that easy. But I think I can show you how to do one.” Saber alleged. Star smiled and shook his head. The two were in the middle of ponyville and Saber was giving Star basics.
“Now, your horn, it is a tool, it helps you perform spells, perform magic, and helps you gain more power. In order to harness that power you must be relaxed and concentrate. Then once you’ve concentrated that power you must release it physically!” Saber said and with a swift grunt he made his horn glow with his Saber Star Sword. Star concentrated and did the same thing with his horn but was barely making any progress.
“I just can’t do it man,” Star sighed. Saber had an idea and went over to Star.
“Here, this is how I did it. I close my eyes and picture a black sphere in the middle. Then I imagine my self-leaping forward into that sphere,” Saber then back away and Star began to concentrate again. He did what Saber told him and felt something. He felt warm, and calm. He was concentrating some more and imagined that black sphere and jumping into it. As soon as he imagined jumping into it his horn blew into flames and formed a Saber Star sword, but this one was different. It was pure light and it shinned throughout the village. Saber and the other ponies covered their eyes because the light was so bright. The light then subsided and Star had did it. He performed t a Saber Star sword. Saber was impressed at this and smiled. Star opened his eyes and aw he had made a sword from his horn.
“I…I did it. I actually did it!” Star jump in the air laughing and Winter was happy to. The princesses were surprised at this kind of magic, and Twilight wanted to learn more. She walked up to Saber and whispered to him.
“Hey Saber, is that a real high level of magic?” Twilight asked.
“Why yes. It takes a long time to master this attack. You concentrate the energy you harness in your horn and physical shoot it out of the top of your head. It took me a year to master this attack, but for some reason, Star said he didn’t start until yesterday, and it only took him two days to master this, there’s something in Star that is making him this advanced, but I wonder what?” Saber watch as Star was showing off his sword then Saber step in.
“Hey Star, why don’t we show them the traditional sword saber fights?” Saber said. Star grinned and nodded. They got into positions and faced each other. Saber drew his horn in the air and formed his sword. His was a purple color and was spitting sparks. Star formed his and his was pure yellow and was letting out bolts of lightning. They stared at each other face to face.
“You ready for this Saber?” Star said. Saber replied
“Ready when you’re ready!” Saber shouted and they both at the same time yelled
“Baku to’!” And with that, the challenge began. Saber charged head on with Star and the both clashed horns. The sparks went flying in every direction and flew in the air. Saber slashed at Star but he evaded the attack and kicked Saber in the hind leg causing Saber to fall down on his knees and Star shifted his horn to slash Saber in the side, only to collide with Sabers horn which was blocking Star from hitting Saber. The other ponies and even Queen Chrysalis were watching this intense battle. The way how Star and Saber were going at each other was like seeing two lions fighting over a catch the other one got. Saber then did a surprise and blind sited Star, by grabbing dirt and flinging it at Stars face. Star grunted and fell backwards. Saber then kicked Star in the gut and sent Star flying into a manure patch.
“Hey he can’t do that, That’s cheating!” Pinkie shouted.
“Yeah, he can’t do that!” Rainbow Dash agreed with Pinkie. Winter heard about these fights and interrupted the two’s opinions.
“Actually, he can. I’ve heard about these battles. In these battles the winner can do anything to win. If the winner is successful he gets to claim the others possession and the loser are to be banished in shame. This type of battle is traditionally done in the kingdom Saber and Star both live in, the Rose Heart Kingdom. When a unicorn or alicorn has performed this spell they are forced to fight each other to keep their spot in the kingdom. And since they’re both friends, Star or Saber will have to report this, and soon,” Winter stop and let Twilight finished the rest.
“The loser has to be banned from the kingdom, forever?” Twilight asked. Winter shook her head up and down, causing the girls to watch two best friends forcefully fight to keep the place of the kingdom. Star and Saber collided with their horns one more time and faced eye to eye.
“This is it; you know what happens to the loser?” Saber said.
“Of course, my dad made this rule, and I’ll see to it that it is kept!” Star shouted and jump in the air doing a quadruple flip behind Saber. Saber tried to turn to block but Star was too quick for him and Star low kicked Saber and caused Saber to fall leaving his body vulnerable and Star finished the blow with one quick swift to Sabers armor and broke it in half. Saber fell to the ground on his back too weak to get up. Star stood over him with his horn to his neck.
“Go ahead; finished what you’re dad made,” Saber grunted. But Star removed his horn from Sabers neck and held out his hoof.
“Are you kidding? How can I banish and hurt the only friend in my court house, who has taught me so much. The victory does come to me, but I’m the Prince, and I say, you can stay in or kingdom,” Star said. Saber grabs his hoof and Star lifted him up and patted him on the back. The whole crowed cheered in joy and in excitement. They’ve never seen this much loyalty and powerful friendship since the day Twilight came into ponyville. Star and Saber both bowed to the audience and lifted their hoofs in the air, to show them the respect they have for them. As Star and Saber were walking to the princesses Star saw something in the air that was falling right towards them.
“Saber, everypony; LOOK OUT!” Saber and the whole village saw the coming falling object and all ran for cover. Star ran with the girls who were all running to Twilights library and locked the doors. The falling object fell in the ground causing it to shake and blow dust and dirt everywhere. As soon as the smoke cleared everypony walked to the site and saw what look like a Pegasus. Star ran to the crash and saw what he can’t believe.
“Shade Tail, oh no!” Star ran down the site and picked up his friend who was hurt badly. Shade opened his eyes to see Star holding him.
“S…St…Star? I…Is that you…cough.” Shade cough up a little and breaths heavily.
“Shade what happened? Why are like this, I thought you were in-!” Shade interrupted him.
“I was…But then a rough fighter as fleeing the battle field and I chased after him…b…but it…was a trap. There coming…from the south…cough….Star, y…you have to warn…the kingdom…T…Tell Fuchsia...I …I tried…gack… and tell…your Uncle that…we...n…need more than just C…Canterlot.” Shade grunted and coughs up again. Star had tears forming in his eyes and was desperately trying to save him.
“No, don’t die man! Please, don’t go! What am I going to tell Fuchsia, and Rose? What am I going to do?” Star cried and Shade grabbed his best friends hoof and held it one last time.
“ D…Don’t be scared…R…remember what… r…Rose said…I...If you stop half way, you’re never going to get your job done. I…I’m sorry…Y…You’ll have to fight my battle for me…a…and…T…Tell Fuchsia…t…that I…l…love…h...her,” And with those final words, Shade drew his last breath and close his eyes. Star’s eyes watered even more and he clutched the body of his only friend who he considered as his little brother, and loyal friend. The other ponies saw this and bobbed their heads down to show respect to Star’s pass on soldier. Winter walked up to Star and held Star in her arms. Star was too sad to even hold Shade and grabbed onto Winter who was also crying. Saber walked up to Star and picked up Shades body.
“I’ll go burry his body in the outskirts of the village. I’m sorry Star; he was my best bud too,” Saber walked off with Shades body and went to the outskirts of the village to go burry the remains of a great and honorable soldier. Star and the others were at the grave site of the fallen warrior.
“Here lies Shade Tail, A great stallion and friend to the Rose Heart Kingdom. He was a goof ball, and a showoff, but in reality, he was just a handicap Pegasus, just wanting to have friends, and he got his wish to come true. And we owe it to the life of one stallion who gave us a happy heart and a well day. Shade Tail, may you rest in peace, and find happiness where ever you go. We love you, now it’s time for you to go, goodbye old friend,” Saber said as he was giving a few words to say to show the respect of the passed on stallion. Winter held Star in her arms and Star look at the grave site of his best friend. After the memorial, Star was left alone at the grave. Spike the walked up to Star and saw that he was silent. They both stood in quietness and said nothing.
“You know, he always tried to find different ways on how to make me laugh. He was also quiet the talkative. If he was with me right now, you and him would be dashing and talking nonstop. He was a great one to be with.” Star said. Spike walked up and patted Stars back.
“I know what you’re going through. I sometimes fear that I would lose Twilight every time she and her friends go on missions, and journeys and quests. But I know that as long as I have faith that I’ll see them again, I know that they’ll have faith too,” Spike said. Star smiled and looks at Spike.
“Spike thank you. But now we have another problematic on our hands. Shade said that a battalion of Thunders forces are on their way from the south. We need to warn Princess Celestia, Luna and Twilight Sparkle. Plus I need to send a letter to my uncle about what happened here today. Come on Spike, hop on.” Star said. Spike hop on Stars back and Star flew into the air and soared through the sky, as they flew back to ponyville, Spike turned around to see the grave site of Shade tail starting to become faint, and faint by the minute until the grave looked like a small pebble standing upon on a hill.
The Rise of the Rose Heart Kingdom
Star and Spike flew to ponyville and the ponies were already cleaning up the mess that Shade left behind. Star landed next to Winter who was helping cleaning up.
“Winter, I need you to write a letter to my uncle, I need you to tell him we suffered a great lost during the front line, even Shade. Also tell him that we need other kingdoms to help us as well,” Star said everything for Winter who was writing all of this like a jack rabbit on the fourth of July. Spike jump off of Star and walked over to Twilight.
“Star, I just received word that a battalion of dark armored knights approaching our way. I’m going with some of Celestia’s and Luna’s guards to see if we can hold them off,” Saber said. Star was not pleased.
“Saber, let me go. I don’t want to lose you either,” Star replied.
“You won’t. Look, I need you to be the last line of defense for these ponies, and while you’re at it, try to train them as well. If all goes wrong, send word to Rose and tell her to send in TRK’s if you need to,” Saber said. Star look at the ponies that were all helping one another and having fun. He turned to Saber and agreed to help them.
“Good. Now I have to go. Royal guardsmen to me, forward unto peace and victory!” Saber shouted and he led at least 300 of Canterlots best troops. They all ran to the edge of the valley where the enemy has been spotted and try to see if they can stop them from advancing. As Saber ran off into the distance Star watch as he led 300 brave stallions to go to war. He turned to meet Winter who had just received a letter.
“Star, it says here that Fuchsia is greatly hurt by his news and your uncle is pulling out all the stops. He’s bringing the…entire kingdom here to ponyville for the final showdown. He expects to arrive at least a day’s journey, and also Rose Heart sent you this just today,” Winter held a package to Star and he was a little confounded.
“What is it?” Star asked.
“It says here on the letter that it was your fathers, who fought honorable and gallantly in the battle field and it says that it possesses an elemental sign on it. And it doesn’t say who it’s from,” Winter said. Star then automatically knew who sent it, it was his real sister. He clench on the package and opened it. He saw that the armor as blue and gold. It had a golden breastplate on it and it look like an old samurai battle armor. He looks at the side of the armor and it had a star that was the brightest of all.
“Wow. I’ve never seen this kind of armor before. What do you think it is?” Winter asked.
“I think it’s the traditional Rose Heart Kingdom battle armor. My uncle said only the top elite classes of warriors are meant to wear this kind of armor, but I never thought I’d be the one to wear one.” Star alleged and took the armor out. He examined it and it was as beautiful as the crystal waters of the sea.
“Hey, Star. Somepony wants to see you in private in my library, it’s important,” Twilight said. Star wondered who wanted to see him. He went into Twilight’s library and saw a shadow figure walking around. Star walked in and closed the door.
“What are you doing here?” Star said.
“Is that anyway to treat your sister?” Sunshine said. Star was not happy at all anymore.
“Sunshine, I just lost my best friend and you come and see me like this?” Star growled. Sunshine had a sad face on her.
“Star, He was already dying. From the time you left, he had a virus that would attack the heart and nerves in the body. He knew about it and didn’t tell you or anyone expect for Fuchsia. He felt that if you knew, you would’ve tried everything to stop his disease, but you wouldn’t stand a chance,” Sunshine said and Star couldn’t believe his ears, Shade was already dying, and he didn’t tell him!
“What about Fuchsia, did she know and didn’t tell me either?” Star asked. Sunshine nodded and Star was furious. He slammed his hoof in the book shelf and caused a bunch of books to fall down. He sat down and wept in between his arms. Sunshine used her magic to pick up all the books up and walked up to Star and snuggled him on the head. She then grabbed Star and kissed him on his head.
“I know it’s hard to be lied to. But even if you knew about the truth, you couldn’t do anything about it,”
“At least I could’ve tried to help him.” Star said. Sunshine sighed and looks at Star.
“Can I tell you something? Do you remember what I said about the raiders that attacked our village, the ones that killed your brother?” Star look at her and nod. She gulps and said the words. “It was your uncle. He sent the Rose Heart armies to attack our village and destroy us. Yes star, you are a Dragonlorian,” Sunshine alleged and Star was beyond shocked! He didn’t even know what to put into words.
“Y…You’re lying! I was never a Dragonlorian! If I was uncle would’ve-!”
“He did and tried, but Rose saw something in you that he didn’t. He saw a monster, but she saw a young Dragonlorian stallion, which was crying his eyes out; wanting to see another sun set and rise, to see another moon go up…to see the beauty of Equestria. Your uncle knew he couldn’t do anything about it. He then saw Rose and Fuchsia so happy, that he decided to train you to become a rose heart knight,” Sunshine alleged. Star was heartbroken, all this time he was a Dragonlorian and he was to rule a race of them.
“Why did she save me? What is my purpose?” Star questioned.
“I don’t know Star, but all I do know is that you need to stand strong, and be brave. Fight for these ponies, fight for Equestria!” Star pulled away from her and sighed. “Your name is kingly, Star Shield. I believe in you.” Sunshine said. Star look at her and had a downed face. A knock was at the door.
“Hey Star Shield, can you come out for a second? You got visitors,” Spike said through the door.
“Okay Spike, let me finish up in here,” Star replied. He turned around to see his sister, who gone in a flash again, but she left something on the ground for Star. He picked it up and opened it. It was a photo, of Sunshine, Saturn Star, with Star Shield in the middle and to the sides, was his mom and dad. He clenched the picture and held it to his heart. “Mom, Dad, Brother; I’ll fight for you, for all kingdoms, for Equestria,” He put the photo in his jacket and walked outside. He saw Spike talking to an alicorn, and Star knew who it was. He walked up and the alicorn turned to see her little brother. Star and Rose didn’t say anything but as soon as Star was about to say something Rose ran up to him but Star lifted his hoof to stop her.
“Rose, is it true that you told uncle that he couldn’t kill me, and that I’m part of an elite race of warriors, meant to exterminate you?” Star said. Her eyes started to water with sorrow.
“Don’t look at me Star! I’m a disgrace to you! I don’t deserve to be called you sister,” Rose wept as she turned away from him, but Star grabbed her and embraced her.
“I don’t care what you did. All that matters is that I have to thank you. You and the others have given me a great life, and I’m happy. But there is also one thing you gave me, you gave me love. Rose as my sister, I will always love you, no matter what the cost is.” Rose stated to form tears again, but Star took his hoof and wiped them away. He hugged her tightly and felt her heart melting.
“So, this is Prince Star Shield?” A voice called out. Star look and saw a young unicorn stallion.
“Rose, who’s this?” Star asked.
“Oh, heh, sorry Star, this is Prince Lightning Dash, He’s from the western part of our kingdom, he hails from the Lightning kingdom,” Rose said.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Lightning Dash,” Star said.
“The pleasures all mine. Your sister here talked a lot about you, so I thought maybe I could meet you one day.” Lightning alleged. Star laughed.
“Is that right? Where’s uncle?” Star asked.
“He’s with Prince Shining Armor at the Crystal Empire, he’s seeing if they can help as well,” Rose announced.
“And what about Fuchsia, how is she?” Rose had a dreaded face.
“She’s at Shades grave.” Rose said. Star felt little sorry for her. Shade and Fuchsia have been friends since the time they’ve been born.
“Let’s give her some time to herself. Right now, we have a bigger problem. Saber went south to-! Rose interrupted him
“Saber, He was here? Where is he, is he?” Star place his hoofs on Rose to calm her down.
“He’s fine. He went south to see if he could hold off Thunders men, but I fear even with three hundred of Canterlots best, it won’t be enough for him to hold,” Star said.
“Maybe I could pull my forces and send five hundred there.” Lightning said.
“Isn’t your kingdom at least three hundred leagues form here?” Star said.
“Yes, but I could get there faster if I take the west wind. That way I could get them to him faster than ever.” Lightning said. Star look at the village as they were still whispering about the upcoming war.
“Alright, if you can get your men over here to help Saber with his defenses, then you can go.” Star said. Lightning had goosebumbs.
“Alright, I’ll go get men and rally them up. Hey Star, look after your sister for me eh?” Star had a perplexed face and tried to say something else, but in a flash, he vanished. Star look at Rose with a fixed face.
“What…What?” Rose said. Star grinned a bit and walked off with Rose who was following him. As they were walking Twilight ran up to Star.
“Star, Princess Celestia and Luna are willing to help, but they have so few fighters,” Twilight pronounced.
“Well, we’re going to have to change that,” Star said. He walked up to the town hall stadium and cleared his throat. “Citizens of ponyville, I have received word that a war will be raged here in =your home town and in Canterlot as well. By my order all women and children must seek shelter in Canterlot, while the men must train and fight.” The ponies were all whispering and talking.
“No offense your majesty, but how will the children and women help?” Twilight asked.
“The women and children will serve as medics and helpers to those that need helping, while the men will stand and fight. If all else fails, we’ll pull them all back and head for Canterlot.” Star said. The ponies were frightened.
“Your majesty, what if this is the last time we’ll ever see our love ones, or our friends?” A pony asked from the crowed. Star had a depressed look on his face, he already lost a brother and a friend; he wasn’t going to let the same thing happen to these ponies.
“Queen Chrysalis, you said you still have some of your changeling armies?” Star said. Queen Chrysalis, who was left out of everything, was now asked for help.
“Yes, I have only five hundred with me, the rest were captured by the one stallion.” She said. The ponies were still shocked. How could one stallion take down an entire army of changelings? Star grew worried about who it was.
“Do you remember what the stallion look like?” Star said. Chrysalis tried to remember and explained everything.
“H…He had a white mane, and wings. He…he possessed a horn, so I could guess he was an alicorn, he also had the most terrifying laugh my ears have ever heard. He then had the eyes of a pure monster that had seen death itself and last thing; he possessed a dark necklace that had a skull and crossbones. One bone in a shape of a sword, the other bone was a staff that spewed out magic of pure hatred.” Chrysalis finished describing and Star had chills going up his spine.
“Chrysalis, the stallion you have described of, is a prisoner of our kingdom. My uncle, Captain Disk Horn, went with ten thousand of our best troops to capture this fiend, ten thousand left…Only my uncle and five out of ten thousand came back with the monster in chains.” Star said. The ponies gasp and started to panic. “The stallions name…was Magma Tail, a mount of hatred and flames, consumed by obscurity and pure malevolent. After our kingdom was under attack by our other civil war’s he escaped our prison, and we’ve haven’t heard of him ever since,” Star said.
“Until today and right now,” Twilight said. The ponies started to freak out.
“What are we going to do?” Spike said as he was next to Star. Star sighed. He walked up to the crowed and announced in his loudest voice.
“Those who are willing to fight for their homes, to give their lives, to see another sun rise in the east, and a sunset in the west, to live as free manes, colts, and changelings alike, to be the story of legends, and of heroes; what say you all?” Star said. The ponies were in silent and then one stallion raise his hoof in the air, it was Big Mac. Apple Jack saw and she raised her hoof as well, and then Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Spike, Twilight, Princess Rose Heart, and then one after the other each pony in ponyville started to raise all of their hoofs. Then Princess Celestia walked up to him and said two words.
“We Fight!” Celestia announced and Star and Celestia bowed before each other and the other ponies cheered and stomp their hoofs.
“So, what’s our first plan?” Spike said.
“First, we’re going to need more armies, Chrysalis, see if you can get those five hundred Changelings of yours to come over here and help us.” Chrysalis flew in the air and went off to get her armies. “Rose I want you to send word to the Rose Heart kingdom, tell them to send in every signal one of our forces here.” Rose grabbed a piece of paper, a quill, and ink and started to write. “Twilight, I want you and your friends to start rallying up everypony in this village, tell them to get ready for training.” Twilight nodded and her friends went to go do what Star told them to do.
“Celestia and Luna I want you to fly all over Equestria and see if you can gather as much forces that want to fight for their freedom as well.” Celestia and Luna shook their heads and in a flash they both flew off. “Finally Spike and…Hey where’s Winter?” Star and Spike looked all around top find Winter, and they saw her crying in a corner. “Spike, you go and gather all of the fillies. Make sure you take them to Twilight’s Library and make sure that they don’t do anything stupid,” Star said. Spike saluted and ran off. Star walked up t Winter and touched her shoulder.
“Star…Remember you said that the stallion your uncle captured was evil?” Winter whimpered. Star nod.
“Winter, is there something you want to tell me?” Star asked. Winter gulp and turned to face him.
“My real name is Princess Winter Breeze, princess of the Winter Kingdom. The stallion of which you speak of…He is my brother,” Winter said. Star couldn’t believe his ears!
“I see. Well I need to tell you something. My real name is Star Shield…But it wasn’t Prince…It was king Star Shield leader of the Dragonlorians.” Star announced. Winter was shock as Star. They both chuckled a bit.
“Guess this world works in so many messed up ways,” Winter alleged.
“Yeah, but if we choose to lie to each other, then it won’t help. Winter, it’s alright if you held this secret, but I didn’t know that this stallion was your brother. If it makes you feel any better, I’ll let you sort out your problems,” Star said. Winter embraced Star and cried.
“Star, if it wasn’t for you, I would’ve died back there in the village, I was searching for my brother after he committed a crime and left our kingdom. But I never found him, until today,” Winter said in Star’s chest.
“Winter, I know what you’re going through; besides, we have to look into deeper measures. Now come, it’s time for us to start our new alliance,” Star said and offered his hoof. Winter looks at it and smiled and grabbed his hoof and they both walked to get ready…for a war that would change Equestria, maybe the world.
The Rise of the Rose Heart Kingdom
Meanwhile, in the far, far part of Equestria, there were the shadow lands. A disgusting land, filled with nothing but chaos, hate, evil, and violence. As the other lands get sunshine and happiness, this land is cursed to be barren and dead, forever. In the mist of the land lade a kingdom…a kingdom of pure abhorrence and immorality. A messenger was running up the steps of the dark castle and ran to an old chamber. He walks slowly to the end of the room where a king was on his throne.
“My lord…I have news that Saber and Prince Lightning Dash are on route to intercept our forward forces,” the shadow messenger said in the dark.
“So…Saber is back after these long years of his…disappearance. Where is this so called “team” now?” A deep, sinister voice said. The shadow a map from the message bag and showed it to his master.
“They seem to be in the south road…I’ve also got reports of a draconian living with the Rose Heart Kingdom dwellers…A draconian known as Star Shield,” The voice said. The king growled and smacked down one of his pillars by his throne stand next to him.
“It can’t be! The Rose Heart Kingdom got rid of them all during the Dragonlorian Wars!” The king shouted.
“They did my liege, but a handful of them that survived, disperse from their land and went into hiding, and one of them were adopted by the one and only Princess Crystal Rose Heart,” The servant announced.
“But that means…if that draconian is the Prince of the Rose Heart Kingdom…he might be the king of the Dragonlorians…Then that means the prophecy is coming exact. Send all of our forces across the map of Equestria. Tell them to attack each kingdom. The Changeling Kingdom is already in despair; send the rest of them to attack the others. The Crystal Empire, Canterlot, the Thunder Kingdom, The Rose Heart Kingdom, all of them! I’ll show those fools what happens when they rebel against my power!” The voice ordered the call and each of the armies went their separate ways to follow their Kings orders. As the king descended from his throne he walked over to his army outside. He saw that they were ready to sink their blades into the flesh of the enemy. The shadow bowed in respect.
“As you wish…King Thunder,” The shadow said and flew off. King Thunder turned to his crystal ball, and focused his magic. He then made it showed an image of Magma with the army Thunder gave him.
“Magma Tail…What is the news on the mark?” Thunder asked.
“We’re arriving at the plains of Ponyville my lord. My scouts have come back with information that a defending force is blocking our way to our destination,” Magma said.
“Magma…We must not let anything come in our way…CRUSH’EM ALL!” Thunder ordered and Magma formed a wicked smile on his face.
“As you wish…King Thunder,” Magma said and the image was gone. Thunder walked back to his throne and sat back down.
“If we can’t destroy them that way…then well do it with the ritual of Ra, then…only then will my children bring terror to the world, Hahahahah!” Thunder laugh and his voice echoed throughout the wind. For the moment the defending armies were now setting up their positions and were getting ready for the battle. Saber was up on a hill, overlooking the plains and felt a chill going down his spine. Saber hasn’t been this tense since the Battle of Bekura…where he was only a rookie and he saved many ponies lives with only five of his best men.
“There is something…off this evening. Something is coming…a storm is brewing, and the wind has begun to howl…This doesn’t look good,” Saber said as he look out in the plain, Prince Lightning Dash came up to him with a warm cup of fresh brew tea and gave him one.
“Here you go man. You look a little stress, have a cup of tea,” Lightning said.
“Thank you Lightning,” Saber said. As the two sip their tea in the cold windy afternoon, the wind was now shifting north, so they don’t have to worry about a storm.
“It’s pretty quiet out this afternoon…You okay there Saber?” Lightning Dash asked. Saber sip his tea again and took a long deep breathe out.
“I’ve heard you and Rose are close…She seems happy with you around,” Saber announced. Lightning blushed and cough as he tried to swallow his tea.
“Oh…so you’ve heard about that huh?” Lightning said.
“I’ve heard it from your soldiers, so I don’t think it’s a problem with me,” Saber said. Lightning and Saber both sat on the hill with their drinks in silence. Then Saber broke the silence up. “Lightning…I’ve meet your little brother and his twin. They were helping me with the investigation of a disappeared village. I talked to them a bit and…well, you guys seem to be a great family, wish I had one again,” Saber said.
“Why…don’t you have a family?” Lightning asked. Saber had a depressant look on his face as he look down in the cup and saw his reflection in the tea.
“No,” Saber said. Lightning then remembered.
Oh…sorry about that man…I didn’t mean to,” Lightning said. Saber sighed and looks into the sky.
“All of my life I grew up with no parents to scold me, or tell me what to do…And then there was Disk Horn…He took me in and gave me a home. When I was introduced to Rose and Fuchsia I swore that I would defend them with my life…even when I die,” Saber said. Lightning took a deep breath.
“Saber…I promise you something…No matter what happens, I’ll protect Rose and my brothers will look out for your family…We all will,” Lightning said. Saber turned to Lightning and smiled.
“Well, that is some promise, I’ll keep that in mind,” Saber said. He and Lightning laugh for a good second and then came in the messenger.
“Sire and commander…I’ve bring news from the scouts. They say that a squad of Thunders men led by an alicorn named Magma Tail is at least a meter away,” The Pegasus said. This shocked the two.
“I’ve heard of Magma Tail…But wasn’t he supposed to die during your kingdoms battle or what?” Lightning said.
“He should have…But he’s one of the most dangerous stallions to fight against and even the toughest one that can survive in a wilderness for a life time,” Saber announced.
“You’ve done enough young messenger…go and get some rest,” Lightning said.
“Understood my lord,” The messenger said and walked off. Saber and Lightning faced the horizon plain again. Saber look at his amulet that Rose made him when they were young. If Thunders men were being led by Magma Tail…Saber and Lightning had just bit off more than they can chew. As the two continued to drink their tea Lightning brought up a different subject.
“Hey Saber…how close were you and Rose?” Lightning asked. Saber cough a bit after drinking his tea down the wrong pipe.
“Gack…cough…we’ve…cough…been…cough great friends…since…cough we first saw each other…as…cough…fillies,” Saber took in a few breaths and cough again, as Lightning brought up that random subject.
“Oh…well, I was just wondering because…well…” Lightning stop their and Saber looed a him and smiled.
“Heh, it is okay man…we’re like brother and sister, Rose and I…She’s been a real great friend. She always helps me see the light in me when I thought I can’t do anything. She’s a real great one. I’m happy for you both,” Saber said.
“But Saber…What about you? I mean, don’t you ever love?” Lightning asked. Saber looks out in the horizon and sighed.
“I swore as a TRK…That we should never love, for it would destroy us if our love ones were ever put into battle,” Saber announced.
“You know…I’ve heard of this TRK’s…what are they?” Lighting asked.
“The TRK’s are an elite group of stallion fighters, fighters that swore their lives to the Crystal Rose Heart Kingdom, and are put into the most dangerous even the most deadliest battles ever…” Saber said. Then Lighting realized something.
“How many…you know?” Lighting questioned.
“Sigh…It was around at least…four billion,” Saber said. Lighting couldn’t believe his ears.
“What! T…That’s insane! Four Billion TRK’s…that’s like five kingdoms all together,” Lightning pronounced.
“Exactly… most of the kingdoms disbanded TRK training and went back to their regular preparation skills because of the risk of losing so many troops. But our kingdom continued to do the training. Now there are only a few of us left,” Saber said.
“Wow…to swear that you will never love…was that a problem to you?” Lightning said.
“After I met Rose it was… my friends and family were gone…now I swear to the code, even to my last breath,” Saber announced.
“Saber…What happened?” Lightning asked. Saber walked a little closer to the edge of the fort and look out in the orange red setting sun.
“It’s best if I don’t talk about that,” Saber asked. Lightning shook his head and the two stood on the top gate.
“Star looks and seems to be like a great kid. How long have you known him?” Lightning asked.
“I’ve knew Star ever since he started to live in our kingdom. At first I thought it would slow our time down…but after I started to train with him, he exceeded greatly. He passed many of his fighting exams and I had the great honor of being his best foalsitter. We have great times together. But sometimes I feel like Star is…well, he’s somewhat of lost one. He continuously tries to find his purpose in life and does his best to help those he loves. He’s just like his sister,” Saber said.
“Yeah, Rose is like that as well. It’s pretty weird that she would house a draconian…especially one from an ancient war long ago,” Lightning said.
“Rose saw something in him…I don’t know what she saw, but I bet you it was something good,” Saber said.
“Sire, commander; I brew some more tea for you. I’ll leave the pot up here, just in case,” A cook said.
“Why thank you cook. At ease,” Saber told him and the cook ran off. The two poured themselves some more tea.
“Hey Saber. When you swore that you would never love…did that ruin the thought of you and Rose being, well you know?” Lightning shrugged. Saber look at him and smiled.
“Ah…you just don’t like her…you lover her so much that you would want to marry her, huh?” Saber said and Lightning almost dropped his cup of tea.
“Hey…all I’m saying is that she’s really nice, and…well…you know!” Lightning shouted.
“Yeah…I know what you said. Hey what’s that light up ahead?” Saber asked. Lightning grabbed a telescope and zoomed in. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He turns to Saber with a fearful look.
“Saber…the party has arrived,” Lightning stated.
As the fires of the enemy came to the boarder, the defending armies were ready for anything that was coming their way. Saber was on the top of the gates, while Lightning took the bottom. The eight hundred ponies gathered around to their positions and were ready. As the defending armies were in position, Magma and his armies were ready as well. He turns to his orb and makes contact with King Thunder.
“My lord…we’ve reached the resistant fighters and are now ready to fight,” Magma said. King Thunder sat up right at this news.
“So they dare try to resist my power? Show’em what happens to those who dare fight back…show no mercy!” Thunder said and Magma bowed in respect, and closed the orb. Saber and Lighting took positions.
“Okay Saber…I’ll take the north gates, you make sure that when the first barrage of fighters come at us, that you’ll hold them off,” Lightning stated.
“Okay, if all else fails, I’ll draw the Pegasus squad in and let your team handle the rest,” Saber said.
“Sire and commander, the first wave of troops are heading towards the gates!” The soldier shouted.
“Well, there’s your role man. I’ll prepare the ground forces, you go!” Lightning said. Saber grabbed his helmet and dashed off to the top of the gates. As Saber was making his way, his squad was already lighting up the skies with arrows and magic.
“Soldier, what’s the news?” Saber said.
“Sir, they’ve brought catapults to the field and are shooting barrage of rocks at us. We can’t hold them off from here,” The stallion said as he threw his spear and stabbed shadowing in the chest.
“Okay…You go and tell Lightning that we need mortars in the skies now,” Saber said. The stallion ran down the stars and came to Lighting, who was preparing his ground troops.
“Sir…Saber has announced that we need mortars in the skies,” The stallion said. Lighting smiled.
“Well, if they want bodies to go flying…then well give em bodies. You three take the mortars and man them. It’s time we’ve took this battle into our own hands,” Lighting said. The tree unicorns manned the guns and positioned them. As they pointed the guns at the catapults, they lit the skies up, and blew up each and every single catapult in the field.
“Saber…The mortars are destroying the catapults, but we’ve lost a lot of men,” One of the stallions shouted. Then a huge bang came from the front gate.
“Everypony to the gates, It’s time we’ve showed them who we are and what we are made of,” Saber shouted and everypony ran to cover the gates. Lighting set up his ground forces and Saber ran to his side.
“What took you?” Lighting asked. Saber shrugged his shoulders.
“Ah...you know, just making sure we don’t get our head cut off,” Saber said. As the gates banned louder and louder, two stallions ran to hold them up.
“Keep it up!” One of the guards holding the gate door shouted.
“I…I can’t there to strong…AGH!” Then the gates collapsed on the two guard sand the shadowing’s stormed their way in the defending fort.
“Light em up, sky high!” Lighting shouted and a barraged of arrows, and magic beams went flying at the gates.
“Ready…Charge!” Saber shouted and the two armies charge at each other and clashed in a ferocious battle. As manes and shadowing’s been battling each other, Saber and Lighting fought alongside each other. Saber used his horn to form a blade and slice a shadowing in half, while Lighting blocked a sword that was about to hit him in the side, and kicked the beast down a deep well.
“Wow…we make a great team!” Lighting shouted.
“Yeah…but don’t rest yet Light, we’ve still got- LOOK OUT!” Saber grabbed Lighting and they both dogged a giant boulder that almost smacked them into pancakes. AS Saber and Lightning got up, they saw a face they never wanted to see.
“It’s been a long time…Saber,” Magma said as he steps in to the base. The royal guards from canterlot stood in position, but Saber and Lightning stop them.
“No…go and help the others, we’ve got this,” Lighting said. The guards ran off to help the other armies fight against the enemy. As Saber, Lighting and Magma stood in the square of the battle, they faced another. “It’s okay Saber…we can take him,” Lightning said. But Saber blocked him.
“No…Magma is my responsibility…I was supposed to put him out of his misery, now I can finally do it. You go and help the defending armies. GO NOW!” Saber shouted, Lightning shook his head and left the square. Soon it was only Saber and Magma Tail.
“Sending the weak away so you they won’t die? You haven’t changed a bit Saber…This is just like that one battle,” Magma said and Saber ran at Magma. As Saber jump in the air Magma blocked a kick from Sabers hoof.
“This is nothing like that battle. At least I didn’t run away like a coward!” Saber said. Magma shook him off and threw another boulder at him, Saber used his horn and cut’s the rock in half, but Magma was behind it and sucker punches Saber in the face. Saber fell on the ground and got back up. Mama cracked his neck, left and right.
“You’re still weak Saber. After all these years of hiding you show yourself now. Why is that?” Magma said. Saber shot a ray of magic at Magma and he blocked it with a shield spell, but Saber then tore so fast that he went behind Magma and punched him in the back of the head. Magma stumbled a bit and Saber kicked him in the face and gutted him in the stomach. Magma fell down gasping and puffing. Saber stood up and smirked.
“You’re still out of shape. What’ wrong…too much junk in the trunk?” Saber taunted him. Magma shouted and charged at Saber. They both dogged each other’s attacks, and caused almost half of the destruction of the base. They both jump away from each other; Magma shifted his horn and formed a sword like Sabers. Saber did the same thing and out came his sword.
“So…you’ve still mastered the star sword spell? Impressive, but not good enough,” Magma said.
“You’re one to talk mister four inch blade!” Saber shouted. Magma came at him again and Saber jump up in the air, he then used his lower leg and kicked Magma in the back and side kicked him in the gut. Magma fell over and Saber brought his horn to Magmas face. Saber slashed at him, but Magma dogged the attack and received a scratch on his left eye, Magma roared in pain.
“You little piece of garbage, I’ll end you for good!” He shouted. Magma ran at him, but Saber used a teleportation spell and disappeared, and repapered behind Magma. He then slashed at Magma’s back and Magma fell down on his knees.
“Guess you bit of more than you can chew,” Saber said. He saw a Pegasus come in from the sky.
“Commander, we’ve done it! We’ve held back the enemy forces,” He shouted. Saber smiled and looked at Magma who was laughing for some reason.
“Why are you laughing? You’ve just lost the battle,” Saber said. Magma laughs even harder.
“You’re so naïve Saber…you think this was the actual invasion?’ Magma said. Saber didn’t understand what he was talking about, and then a stallion came in with a message.
“Sir, it’s the Crystal Empire, they’ve been under attack by weird creatures of fire and stone!” He reported. Saber looked at him and was shocked. Just then another messenger came in.
“Sir, its Prince lightning’s Kingdom; they’ve also been attack by creatures, this time, of fire and ice!” He said. Saber was now surprised and perplexed. Then another messenger came in.
“Sir, it’s about the Changeling Empire, they’ve been under attack, of course you knew about it, but the creatures that attack it were made of Ice and thunder!” All three of them came in at once and now Saber was stressed out. Then a fourth messenger came out of the sky.
“Sir…it’s the Roes Heart Kingdom…they’ve just been attack by several creatures made of fire, ice, earth and wind!” The messenger said. All four of them looked at each other and were confused Than Saber. He turned to Magma who was still laughing.
“What’s going on here Magma? Who are these creatures?’ He shouted. Magma looked at him and smiled.
What else have you to report you four?’ Saber said and turned to the three messengers.
“They’ve also been attacking the villagers, then some type of purple dust comes out of the ground the monsters then seal it up in some sort of orb, and run off,” one of the messengers from the Crystal Empire said. The other messenger looks at him.
“That’s weird, that’s what happened to Prince Lightning’s Kingdom,” the other one stated. The other one was now even scared.
“The same has happened to the Rose Heart Kingdom,” The third messenger said. The last on was about to pull his mane off because of this news.
“That’s what happened to Queen Chrysalis’s Kingdom, What’s going on here!” The fourth messenger shouted. Saber turned to Magma and stared at him in the eye.
“Magma, who are you sending to attack these places?” Saber said. Magma snickered and looked at him.
“A couple of monsters who wanted to fight for King Thunder,” Magma said.
“I don’t care who they are, I’ll be able to stop them,” Saber said ad threw Magma on the ground. Magma got up and faced Saber.
“Sigh…you’re so full of yourself. Well, since you say you could handle my men…let’s see if you can,” Magma said. He took a stance and concentrated his horn. He then stabbed his horn in the ground and shook the entire place. At first there was nothing, but when the ground shook again, this time something was coming out of it. I jump back and saw the horrid figures arouse from the ground. It was hard to tell what they were when they were in the dark, but when the light shinned on them, Saber saw who they were.
“In the name of Harmony Magma…what did you do!?” Saber shouted. Magma laughed wickedly.
“I only did the impossible Saber, now fear and gaze upon my new minions. Gaze upon the elite ones from Tartaros himself, the ones who’ve I ordered to attack those pitiful villagers and kingdoms, fear the wraith…of the TITAINS!” Magma shouted and out from the pits of the ground arouse an army of titans, enough to levitate an entire kingdom. The Titans roar was so loud it was heard all over the base camp. The armies saw the monstrous nightmares and feared the inevitable.
“You four, retreat at once. Go and tell the Princess what had happened to the other kingdoms,” Saber shouted. He then saw Lightning kicked down a shadowing. Saber shouted to him. “Lightning, take the men back! Fall back to Canterlot now! Lightning heard a voice and saw Saber, he was outnumbered. He had fifty titans all surrounding him, and Saber had no way out. Lightning tried to help him but he knew he had and order.
“Everypony fall back, fall back to Canterlot now! Take the wounded and fall back, go, go, go!” Lightning lead the forces back to Canterlot, while Saber was stuck at the base with the horrid beasts of destruction.
“So Saber…who’s the one that’s bit off more than he could chew?” Magma said. Saber formed his horn sword again and stood his ground to face the titans. He looked at the necklace that Rose had given him when they were young. Saber saw Lightning up above him, and Saber ripped the necklace off and threw it at Lightning. Lightning saw the gleaming gift and caught it. He studied it and saw Sabers face.
“No Saber, there has to be another way!” Lightning shouted. One of the titans saw him and shot a fire ball right t Lightning. The alicorn prince dogged the attack and tried to help Saber, but he setup a force barrier around the base and him.
“I’m sorry Lightning…but there’s just no place for me in this world anymore. Tell Rose, good luck. Remember your promise Lightning? Now you better keep it,” Saber said and charged at the titans in the base. Lightning knew he couldn’t do anything else for him, except to pray he’ll make it back. Magma saw Lightning fly away and snickered. He then looked at Saber, who was fighting off the wretched monsters as the best he could. Saber was down to his last resort of magic and was nearly down himself. Saber charged at the titans again, but this time, he was blind sited and received a blow to the face. Saber fell back after he then got punched in the gut, then in his side. As Saber fell to the ground on his knees, he saw Magma walked up to him.
“Here are my final words to you Saber…Do you fear death?” Magma said. Saber looked right in Magma’s eye’s, leaned forward and said three words.
“No…I…DON’T!” Saber yelled and stabbed right through the heart of Magma Tail. Magma saw the blade and laugh.
“You fool…I guess I haven’t told you one thing. Since I’m on King Thunder Claw’s Side…I can’t die,” He then took his horn and did the same with Saber. Saber felt cold, as Magma removed his horn blade from Sabers chest, Sabers mind started to flash back. It went back to the time where his mother, father, and older brother were killed during the fall of the Ark. Saber fell forward down, and his body collapsed on the hard ground, where he could see the many bodies of those who gave their lives to fight off this invasion. Sabernight, hero of the TRK, was now down for the count. Magma turned to face his new forces. “Follow those cowards…make their hearts fear your power, and grabbed the last of the chaotic energy for the final assault,” Magma said. The titans roared and descended in the ground. As Magma walked out of the defeated fort, he saw Ponyville and knew that the real battle, was about to begin. Meanwhile, as Magma was walking towards ponyville Saber was still seeing faint pictures before his eyes were going dark. He saw a faint pony that walked up to him.
“Stay calm Sabernight…rest your eyes, rest Saber. We’ll take care of you,” The ponies voice started to fade as Saber closed his eyes. The mysterious pony picked Saber up and they both walked off silently through the mist of the shadows and darkness. Meanwhile in ponyville Rainbow Dash was sleeping on a soft cloud in the air, minding her own business. Then she heard the sound of hoofs running towards the village. She woke up and saw that it was the defending army, they’ve returned, but it looked like they saw a lot of action. Rainbow Dash flew from her cloud and found Star talking to Twilight.
“Hey Star, it’s the defending armies, they’ve returned,” Rainbow Dash said. Star got up immediately and ran out to see them. All of the other ponies gathered around and wanted to hear what the news was. A Star ran up to the armies, he saw lightning.
“Lightning Dash…where’s Saber?” Star asked. Lightning looked down and had a gloom look on his face.
“I’m sorry Star…But Magma was leading the assault. He outnumbered us…with his army of titans, and Saber was in the midst of the battle,” Lightning said. Star couldn’t believe his ears. His old foalsitter…his best friend…his brother…was now gone. The four messengers ran up to Princess Celestia and reported what had happened. She had a despair look and called in Star, Twilight, Rose, Fuchsia, Winter Breeze, Lightning Dash and Luna to the Library.
“I’ve received reports that titans have attacked each kingdom, with each village living in the area. The Crystal Empire was attacked, Prince Lightning’s Kingdom, Rose Heart’s Kingdom, and Chrysalis’s Kingdom. For some reason the reporters said that the titans attack them, then as soon as this purple smoke come out of the ground, the monsters then retreat with orbs, filled with the purple smoke in them,” Celestia said.
“Why would King Thunder use titans to attack the kingdoms, couldn’t he use his forces?” Twilight asked.
“When we were at the hill, Magma sent in his men. King Thunder and Magma have formed an alliance and are now teamed up with titans. But this still doesn’t make sense,” Lightning said.
“What if the titans are for a purpose? You know, like a plan. What of the titans are the only ones that can cause fear into their enemy,” Rose said.
“It’s possible…But still his report of purple smoke. What is it?” Winter Breeze said. Star thought hard, and then saw the map of Equestria. He examined it and looked at where the titans had attacked.
“What if they are? Look here, Winter said to me that her Kingdom fell not too long ago, so we add hers, plus Chrysalis’s, add the Crystal Empire, the Lightning Kingdom, and our Kingdom,” Star had drew a line of where the kingdoms had been attacked.
“That’s strange…they all line up together, like some sort…of…belt,” Luna said and examined the map. Each Kingdom was attacked and they all bet that they all had the same purple smoke at each one.
“So King Thunder has and army of titans, and of his own men. He attacked each kingdom in a row and the only kingdom left for him to attack is…Canterlot,” Rose said.
“But still, what is he doing, and what are these purple smokes that the titans are gathering?” Fuchsia said. Star looked at the map and he couldn’t believe his eyes.
“He can’t be…he can’t…but that practice was banned for a millennium! He’s actually going to do it!” Star shouted and slammed his hoof on the table.
“What…King Thunder’s going to what?” Twilight asked. Star turned to face the land. He started to shiver in fear, and in hate.
“King Thunder is going to perform a ritual that was banned from the spell books of Equestria, every signal one of them,” Star said. The others were still confused.
“Star…please answer us, what is King Thunder planning to do?’ Rose asked. Star turned to face his friends and his sister’s. The look on his face was devastated. Star took a deep breath and let out the words.
“King Thunder…He’s going to split Equestria open, and fuse the netherworld with our world to complete his one true purpose…to end all of harmony, once and for all,” Star announced. The whole room of prince and princesses were shocked at this news. He’s going to split Equestria open! There hasn’t been a doing in a long time!
“What…What do you mean split Equestria open? That’s impossible!” Twilight said. Star couldn’t believe it either.
“I know it sound impossible, but believe me…It’s possible,” Star said.
“But how could he do that? I mean, not even Discord has that kind of power to do that, so how is he going to split it open?” Celestia said. Star thought for a quick second and soon realized something.
“It’s the purple smoke…when a titan attacks a certain place, he can cause only one thing…fear. That’s why Magma had them attack those certain kingdoms; he wanted the titans to create fear and seal them up in a container, then retreat!” Star stated.
“But he’s already attacked all of the kingdoms,” Winter said.
“All, except one kingdom left,” Star said and pointed the quill filled with ink at the last kingdom.
“Canterlot…He’s going to attack here in this village…we’ve got to stop them!” Twilight said. Star agreed and looked at the others.
“I need a favor from all of you…I need you to agree on one thing for me. Do you all promise to forget about the past…to put the things that had happened to each other…to fight together until he very end?” Star said. Chrysalis, Luna, Celestia, and Twilight looked at each other and nod their heads all at once.
“Well Star…what’s the first thing to do?” Rose said.
“Send w0rd to all of the kingdoms…tell them that we need all the help we can get to defeat and defend this village. Let them all know that we have a common enemy we face today,” Star said. The whole library of prince and princess gathered around and placed their hoofs in the middle of the table.
“TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!” They all shouted and started their jobs. Chrysalis made sure that each of her Changeling armies were ready for battle, Celestia and Luna gathered their armies and prepared them for battle. Rose sent word to Meteor Head, telling him to send all of their forces to Canterlot and to bring enough weapons for them. Lightning sent word to his brothers and told them that they needed a lot more forces to defend Ponyville. Star was on top of Twilight’s balcony and overlooked the village. He saw many armies teaming up and preparing for the fight, which would take place here. Winter walked up by his side.
“Star…I’m sorry about Saber,” She said. Star looked at the medal he received from Saber after Star had graduated from the Rose Heart Kingdom Academy, and saw the craving that Saber and he put on the medal. Star sensed the wind and felt a strong surge.
“He’s still alive…I can feel it,” Star said. Winter looked at him.
“Are you sure he’s still alive Star?” Winter asked Star turned to face her.
“I know he’s alive…When we meet he said that he felt a special bond…a link between me and him. If I will believe anything, I believe that he’s still alive, Star said.
“Star, I know we’ve only met and known each other for a week, but…even though my brother attacked him, do you hate him…do you hate me?” Winter said and started to cry. Star lifted her head and wiped the tears away from her eyes.
“No…I don’t hate him or you. It’s not his fault he’s like this. But Winter…I don’t hate you at all. In fact, I like you,” Star said. He then leaned over and hugged her. Winter felt her heart melting in Star’s grasp.
“Star…sob…do…sniff…do you mean that?” Winter said.
“Yes…yes I do,” Star said. Winter hugged Star back. Then a voice broke out the two’s moment.
“Hey Star! We need your leadership in order to fight back,” Lightning said. Star nodded and hopped on the edge of the balcony.
“Winter…if Magma does come here and lead this assault, then you’ll have no choice but to face him. Do you understand?” Star said. Winter wiped her face and stood up tall.
“I understand…now go Star Shield, your armies are waiting,” winter said. Star hooped off of the balcony and flew towards the base camp, in the middle of the village, right at town hall. Winter was now left alone on the balcony and faced the starry sky. “If you can hear me Saber…we all need you, especially Star…where are you?” Winter said faintly. She then walked inside of Twilight’s library and closed the doors. Star flew down to rally up the forces, Lightning came up to him with news.
“Star, Princess Celestia requires your presence,” Lightning said. Star understood and went to the tent where Celestia was talking to a stallion wearing a dark hood. As Star entered, he saw Celestia and she got up and walked off.
“Star, be careful,” Celestia said and Star nodded his head. As Celestia walked off, the shadowy mane figure turned to face him.
“It’s been a long time Prince Star Shield. How did Sunshine do?” The shadowy figure asked. Star responded.
“She did fine…who are you, draconian?” Star said. The draconian removed his hood and revealed a stallion with brown skin, like his, only with spikier hair, he had a mark across his face like Star’s, and he had the same wings as him. Yet he had a Skull on his flank and Star looked at him suspiciously.
“Allow me to introduce myself…my name is Skull Horn, your cousin, and officer of your people,” Skull Horn said. Star bowed in respect.
“Tell me, what brings you here, cousin?” Star said.
“Lightning was being followed. After the fall of the fortress, titans have breached the northern border…they’ll reach your village and talked it in two days’ time,” Skull said. Star was shocked at this news.
“What do you want me to do…we don’t have enough men or fighters. We need other warriors,” Star said.
“I’ll send word to our people about this…but we’ll still be so short,” Skull Horn said.
“Then what do I do? I don’t know any armies or fighters that live here,” Star said. Skull looked at him with a dreaded face.
“There is he, who dwells deep in the mist shadows of the Everfree Forest,” Skull said. Star knew who he was talking about and a howl of a mournful cry was blown throughout the camp.
“Murder…monster…You expect to call him to fight? He does not answer to nopony,” Star said.
“He will listen to you. Trust me; he knows when he senses a far more evil is afoot. You’re outnumbered Star. Do you fear death?” Skull said. Star looked at the amulet and clenched it.
“If neither Saber feared death…then nor shall I,” Star said. Skull smiled and patted him on the shoulder.
“I must be off. I have a lot to report to the army. Star…you were born a draconian, but you were raised of a Rose Heart Knight. If the Rose Heart Kingdom falls…so will the other ones. And Star, if he doesn’t listen to you, tell him you’ll set him free. He is forever cursed and will only listen to those who’ll keep their word, farewell,” Skull said. He left the tent and soon Star was left alone. Star knew he need another fighter, but he wasn’t expecting to call upon him. Star left the tent and walked back to where the carriage was. He packed his stuff and made sure he had a map of the Everfree Forest. Winter saw him and rushed over to him.
“Star, what are you doing? You’re leaving?” Winter said. Star sigh and faced her.
“I’m going to see if I can get a certain pony to help us but while I’m away, Lightning Dash is in charge of defending Ponyville,” Star said.
“But Star, this isn’t right! You’re supposed to lead us into battle, that’s what a Prince does!” Winter said and Star stopped.
“Winter…I’m a Prince of the Rose Heart Kingdom…but I’m a king of the Dragonlorians. Which one am I supposed to lead?” Star asked.
“So what if you’re a king of the Dragonlorians, you were raised in the Rose Heart Kingdom!” Winter yelled. Star looked at her and held her hoof.
“Yes, I was…but now that I finally realized of who I am, I can’t back down from my purpose,” Star said.
“What is your purpose Star?” Winter asked. Star looked at her.
“My purpose…is to help those in need, and to protect those who I love. That’s my purpose,” Star said. Winter looked at the ground in sadness.
“Star I want you to promise me something. Do you promise me that you’ll come back for us, you’ll come back for me,” Winter asked. Star held Winter’s head up and gave her a little kiss on the check.
“I promise you…I’ll come back for you and for the others. You have my word,” Star said. He picked up his bag and headed south to the Everfree Forest. As he was walking to the end of the village Rainbow Dahs stop him.
“Where do you think you’re going your majesty?” Rainbow Dash said.
“No Rainbow…you can’t come with me. I have to do this alone,” Star said. Then the rest of the mare six walked up to him.
“If you’re planning to head into the Everfree Forest, then you’ll need some help,” Rainbow Dash said.
“Rainbow’s right sugar cube…friends stick together to the end,” Apple Jack said.
“This is so scary, yet exciting!” Pinkie Pie said.
“I’m a lover and a fashion designer, but if it’s the same with you, I’ll help,” Rarity said.
“Um…I’ll help out to, if you don’t mind?’ Fluttershy said.
“Face it Star, we’re all going with you,” Twilight said. Star sigh and smiled at the six mares. The seven heroes walked along the village area, where the armies and the villagers saw them walking towards the village.
“Your majesty where are you going?” One of the royal guards shouted. Princess Celestia, Luna Rose Fuchsia, and even Lightning saw were they were going.
“Your majesty…Star Shield!” The royal guard shouted, but the seven heroes continue to travel into the shadowy mist of the Everfree Forest.
“Why do they leave, where do they go?” One of the guards asked.
“They leave because they have no hope!” One shouted, and Winter came in an objected.
“They leave because they must,” She said.
“Your highness, don’t you see what is going on here? We cannot defeat the armies of King Thunder,” One guard said.
“No…we cannot my loyal guard. But we will face them, no matter what number we are,” Winter said. The rest of the armies continued to prepare the defenses against the titans that will be coming to capture the last of the smoke. As the seven adventures traveled in the deep dark forest, they started to get concerned.
“So…who’s this so called stallion were looking for?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“They say he is nothing but shadow and hate itself. One day a young stallion had it all. Fame, wealth, and power…But he still lacked something. He consulted with witch doctors, they gave him a box. They said that if he opened it during the full moon, he’ll realize what he needs the most. But being the greedy mane he was, hew opened the box too early. Darkness shrouded him; he fell into complete obscurity and hate. He transformed into a beast…or a monster. He is forever cursed to walk the world alone, and in fear,” Star said. The seven waked through the shadows and came to a one part of the forest, completely in darkness, and off of the map.
“We have to find another way through this cave, Twilight said.
“No, we have to go through it. The stallion I want is right in there, and the only way to get him, is to go through,” Star said. Rainbow Dash flew in front of him.
“Are you serious Star? Look, this place has death written all over it. Don’t you fear death?!” Rainbow Dash shouted. Star pushed her aside and walked closer to the dark place.
“I do not fear death,” Star said and walked into the darkness to find what he was looking for. Twilight gulped and followed him in. Apple Jack did the same, and so did the rest of the girls. As they walked through the dark trees, and thickest, they wondered if they were heading into the right direction. They passed through an abandon village and saw the site, it was devastating. Burnt buildings, fallen structures, and torn down houses. Star step through the entrance and felt something weird under his hoof, he took a little look and faced his face back up.
“What is it Star?” Twilight said. Star shivered a bit and spoke.
“Do not look down,” Star announced. But Rainbow Dash looked down and saw that there were skulls of dead ponies everywhere. She decides to fly the next half way as they walked. Star leads them to a house where it hasn’t been touched in a life time.
“Star…who is it we’re looking for exactly?” Twilight asked. Then out of nowhere a faint, but dreaded voice called out from the shadows of the village.
“Who dares enter my domain at this time?’ The voice called out. The six girls shivered in fear, especially Fluttershy who stuff her head in the ground.
“My name is Prince Star Shield, I’ve come to call for your help,” Star said. The voice snickered in the shadows.
“You dare come to me, to call for my help?” The voice hissed. Twilight stepped forward to stand by Star’s side.
“My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle, under the name of Princess Celestia-! The voice boomed and hissed even more.
“I don’t care about the Princess! Why have you come here?” The voice said.
“Now listen here, we’re about to fight a war, that’s probably going to put the fate of Equestria in despair. Unless you want to become that, you’ll show yourself, and face us!” Rainbow Dahs shouted. The voce faded and stayed silent for a moment.
“Heh, you have gut’s young Pegasus…But you dare order me?” The shadowy figure walked out of the house. The girls didn’t even know who they were talking to until he showed himself into the moon light.
“You…got…to…be…kidding…me?” Twilight said. The figure stood ten feet tall; he had a pale white face, a horn as long as Celestia’s and was nicely dressed for a tall mane. The girls were now shaking in fear.
“Star, is this mane you were talking about?” Rainbow Dash asked. Star stood his ground and spoke.
“Yes…he is the one who I’m been trying to find. The one who is cursed for life…Slendermane,” Star said and the tall mane walked out and stood in front of the seven heroes.
“So you’re the one who’s rallying up the kingdoms together to fight for their freedom?’ Slendermane said.
“Yes, I come to you in our dire situation…we need your help,” Star asked.
“Hahahahahaha, you honestly think I would help you? Besides, there is nothing you can do that can make me help you!” Slendermane shouted.
“There is one thing…your curse,” Star said and Slendermane stood frozen.
“Yeah, if you help us, Star here has the power to free you of your curse!” Pinkie Pie said and jumps up and down.
“Only the rightful ruler of the Dragonlorian clans can do that,” Slendermane said,
“I am the rightful ruler, I’m the heir to the Dragonlorian clans,” Star said. Slendermane walked around Star.
“So…the prophecy is true. One Dragonlorian will lead his people, and the ponies of Equestria to battle against the great evil…and in the end will free them all,” Slendermane said.
“Fight for us… and I’ll hold your oath until it is fulfilled, what say you?” Star asked. Slendermane walked back from him and laughed an echoing howl.
“You promise to free me…if I fight for you?” Slendermane said. Star shook his head and the others were now tenses up. “Well, before I do that…you made a grave mistake coming here…my children grow hungry…so I’ll let them feast,” Slendermane said.
“Oh a feast…where’s the food at?” Pinkie said and Twilight looked around them and saw millions of shadow like creatures coming towards them.
“Uh…Pinkie, I think the food is us,” Twilight said. The others were now ready to break for it.
“You have my word…fight for us, and I’ll set you free! What say you?” Star shouted but Slendermane faded back into the shadows and the seven were now surrounded.
“Great, nice going Star, you had to negotiate with a freak!” Rainbow Dash said. The shadow creatures came closer to them.
“Let’s get out of here, this way!” Twilight shouted. The girls started to run for their lives, now that they failed, what’s going to happen next, they’re going to become food! They ran past through the thick forest and bushes to get their plots out of there. Star ran beside a tree and had an idea. He formed his sword from his horn, and cut down the tree to block up their path, but apparently they’re shadows, and they fazed right through the fallen tree.
“Really man?” Rainbow Dahs yelled as she flew above Star.
“Hey…thought it would work!” Star shouted. They ran endlessly until they saw a faint light up ahead.
“There, I see a way out!” Apple Jack shouted. Then a piercing scream came from behind them. They looked back and saw Rarity was caught in a tick bush.
“You girls, run as fast as you can to the end of the forest, I’ll grab Rarity!” Star said. The others ran for their lives while Star ran back and tried to free Rarity.
“Help me…my leg, it’s caught!” Rarity cried. Star already lost two friends; he wasn’t going to lose another like this! He used his magic to cut the branch that was caught on Rarity’s leg and freed her.
“Can you run?” Star said. Rarity tried, but apparently she sprained her back left hoof.
“Ow, I can’t run! Leave me Star, just go!” Rarity shouted, But Star grabbed her and placed her on his back.
“No…I’ve lost Shade, Saber, and my brother, I will not leave you to die as well Rarity!” Star said.
“oh, thank goodness, [i/] Rarity thought to herself and held on tightly to Star. The others saw the two heading for the end of the forest, but the darkness was catching up to them as well!
“I see them, hurry up you two!” Twilight shouted. Rarity looked back and saw the shadow was getting closer.
“Um, any time now darling, now might be a good time to hurry up!” Rarity shouted. Star spread out his wings and started to flap them. He then ascended into the air and flew twice as faster than the shadow’s.
“Hurry up, come on!” Pinkie shouted. Star out all of his strength into his wings and continued to fly faster than ever. Rarity closed her eyes as she and Star flew out of the thick forest and flew out into the open sky. However since Rarity was on Star, she was putting so much weight on him, that the two began to fall.
“Rarity, you have to jump! I can’t…hold…on…much…longer!” Star grunted. Rarity looked down and was afraid.
“I can’t darling!” Rarity cried. Star looked at her.
“Rarity…you can do it. I believe in you,” Star said and strained a smile. Rarity saw in Star’s eyes he was telling the truth, she was clenched on Star’s neck, closed her eyes and jump off, and then to be caught by Rainbow Dash. As the two reached the ground Star fell on his back exaughsted and hurt. The others ran up to aid Star.
“You alright there sugar cube?” Apple Jack asked.
“Yeah…I’m fine. Man that was a close one.” Star said and Rarity hugged him.
“Oh, thank you darling, you saved me, oh thank you, thank you, thank you!” Rarity said das she was squeezing Star tighter and tighter.
“Uh…Rarity…can’t…breath!” Star strained to say and Rarity lets go of him. Star took in a couple of breaths. AS the gang walked up to see where they were Twilight saw something unbelievable.
“Star…you might want to take a look at this right now,” Twilight said. The others walked up and couldn’t believe their eyes. Star walked up and saw the titans had already disposed of a certain village. The town raged up in smoke and ashes, everywhere the titans walked, they trampled and crushed everything under their colossal feet. Star kneeled down in the grass, he had failed. The others looked down and knew that this was now the end.
“It’s over…they’ll reach ponyville in a day’s journey…we’ve lost,” Star said.
“Oh, my…this is horrible,” Fluttershy said. Rainbow Dash kicked a rock, and shouted.
“This can’t end like this, not like this! “ Rainbow Dash screamed. Apple Jack removed her hat and placed it on her chest, Rarity hugged onto Pinkie, and Twilight held on to Star.
“I guess we better go back and tell the other’s we’ve failed,” Twilight said.
“But what about the titan’s, Star tell us you have a plan!” Rainbow Dash shouted, but Star wouldn’t speak.
“Guess this is the end for all us girls…it was nice to have friends like you,” Twilight said and they all did a group hug. They looked at Star and felt sorry. Star had failed his mission…or so he thought. There was that faint voice again and Star tuned around. Out of the darkness Slendermane came forward. The girls got ready to fight back, but Slendermane walked up to them, looked at Star, who got up walked over to him, and the two were face to face.
“What say you?” Star asked Slendermane. Slendermane looked at him and said two words.
“I fight,” Slendermane announced.
The Rise of the Rose Heart Kingdom
Somewhere else, in the misty, tall mountains, laid a small base camp village that lied east of Equestria. After the skirmish with the titans and Magma, Saber thought he was dead. But something didn’t feel right. He wasn’t cold anymore…he wasn’t bleeding to death, he felt, warm…really warm. Saber then had his eye’s squint a bit and he came back to the world of the living.
“Where…where am I?” Saber said. He got up and sat up straight. He looked around him and saw he was in someponys shed, of tent. He then looked ta his wound and saw that it was gone, completely!
“Oh…you’re awake. Good, I have much to tell you,” a voice said. Saber looked up and saw a pony, but she was different. He examined her and saw she had the same wings as Star.
“Who are you?” Saber asked. The pony removed her hood and revealed herself to Saber.
“My name is Sunshine Dash. You must be Saber of the Rose Heart Kingdom…a TRK I believe?” Sunshine said. Saber was perplexed.
“How do you know about me, my kingdom, and who I used to be?” Saber asked. Sunshine poured a cup of tea and handed on to him. Saber was afraid of it, and Sunshine giggled a bit.
“No need to worry…it’s a special medicine brew. I made it so it’ll help heal your wounds,” Sunshine said. Saber took the tea and drank a bit.
“Why did you save me?” Saber asked. Sunshine looked at him and smiled.
“How could I not…you did save my little brother and foalsat him for some time,” Sunshine said. Saber almost spit out his tea. He looked at her and soon realized who she was.
“You’re Star Shield’s sister?” Saber asked. Sunshine nods her head.
“His real name is Shatter Star…he was supposed to lead our people after our father, King Sandhorn the Great died during the Dragonlorian wars,” Sunshine said. Saber stopped his cup half way and looked back at her.
“You’re also a Dragonlorian?” He said. She sigh a long sigh.
“Yes…after our father died…we decided to end this continuous battle, but then a certain mane had to destroy our village and scatter us into hiding,” Sunshine said. Saber knew who.
“Sorry about that…guess he had a grudge against you guys,” Saber said.
“Never the less…I promised I wouldn’t hurt Star or any of his friends of any kind,” Sunshine said.
“So, why did you save me? I want the real answer,” Saber said as he puts his cup of tea down.
“It’s been forty thousand eight hundred and five years since a mane or mare had ever mad and alliance with the titans. I saved you so you could put an end to them,” Sunshine said. Saber got up and was feeling better.
“Why me?” Saber asked.
“Because when you and Star meet, you had a special bound with each other…a magical friendship bound. I’ve sensed it ever since he met you,” Sunshine said.
“Where is Star…is he alright, did he get the message?” Saber asked and Sunshine shushed him.
“He’s alright…his cousin went to tell him the news and so did Lightning. Star went to the Everfree Forest and had a talk with the one called Slendermane to help out,” Sunshine said and Saber almost dropped dead.
“He what, doesn’t he know what that monster is capable of?” Saber said.
“Yes…but apparently, Star had agreed to free him if he agrees to help,” Sunshine said and Saber was now going to be sick. He looked at her and spoke.
“So, what are you going to do to me?” Saber said. Sunshine lay back in her place.
“Well, for starters, you’re going to listen to what I have to say. Second, you’ll have to take it easy with your words, and third…you need to rest up,” Sunshine said as she winked her eye and left her tent. Saber didn’t understand this sat all, how could there was somepony so serious, so playful, and so…beautiful, be related to Star?
“This is just great…not only am I stuck here, I’m stuck her with one of Star’s relatives and unable to help. I have to get back to them, but first I need to rest up like what she said, ” Saber thought and lay his head down on the soft pillow. He couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore and fell asleep into a deep slumber. That night, Saber dreamed a dream…he dreamt himself being back at the day he first became a TRK, and served his kingdom. It was the middle of fall; he had just graduated from the TRK Academy and was now celebrating it with two of his friends, Mist Head and Dusk Horn, two of his loyal companions who would go to the very dangerous battles with their friend.
“Come on man! Have another round, today is the day we graduated, and can’t you believe it?” a unicorn named Mist Head said.
“Yeah man, I never thought I would make it, but here I am!” another unicorn named Dusk Horn alleged.
“You guys know I don’t drink till I get sick…besides, I got midnight shift tonight and I have to be on guard at all times,” Saber announced.
“Man, of all the ponies in the TRK barrack’s they had to choose you, I mean, come on; y you deserve a break!” Dusk said.
“Dusk is right man, why do you even take the shift?” Mist said as he had another round of apple cider.
“You know why I took it. I need the extra bit’s in order to pay off someponys loans,” Saber said and drank his mug.
“Oh, you mean Rose has something she needs to get her chest off?” Mist said.
“She said to me that her uncle had another accident last night at the Gully’s Tavern and he didn’t pay for last weeks. So, yeah I guess you can say that,” Saber announced.
“Wow, I can’t believe you got to be Roses personal body guard, I’m so jealous,” Mist said.
“Why, you know as TRK’s we sworn we’ve never love for it will destroy us,” Saber said.
“You know what I mean. Besides, guess who has to teach next week’s flying lessons?” Dusk asked. Saber and Mist couldn’t believe it.
“You got to teach next lessons in flying class?” Saber said. Dusk laugh and smiled
“Yeah you got that right, the teacher said that my flying scores were so through the roof, that he made me teach next lessons,” Dusk said.
“Well, hope you’re ready to take on a responsibility like that,” Mist said. Saber looked at his watch and saw the time was ten till eleven.
“Alright guy’s, I have to take the shift. Take care of yourselves now okay?” Saber said.
“Sure man, see ya later!” Dusk said.
“Well see you tomorrow at the trainee center,” Mist said. Saber exit out of the Sparkling Rainbow’s bar and headed straight towards the Rose Heart Kingdoms Gates. He patrolled the east gate, while the other soldiers got the other sides of the gates. He stared into the long, dark plain. The cold air blew in his face, and the sound of crickets chirping in the night felt peaceful, and relaxing to him. He wondered if he made the right choice to be a TRK. He continue to watch his part of the gate, and heard to sound of hoof prints running towards his way, it was Star Shield when he was only eight years old. Star ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
“Saber, Saber, Saber!” Star shouted and jumps onto Saber and the two almost fell off of the gate.
“Whoa there boy, carful you and me would’ve fallen off of the gate,” Saber said. Star laugh as his best foalsitter rubbed his head
“Saber, guess what happened at the academy today?’ Star said. Saber’s eye brow squinted as he thought hard.
“You had another fight with that filly with the bad eye?” Saber said.
“No…and for the record he hit me first,” Star said. Saber laugh.
“Even so, but you must remember, if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Meaning if you fight back at him, it wouldn’t be the same if he fought back at you,” Saber said and Star was now confused.
“What are you saying though Saber…Are you saying I shouldn’t defend myself?” Star said and Saber laugh.
“No that’s not what I meant. It’s okay if you defend yourself, but if you fight out of hate, and anger, you’ll be as evil as he was. If he ever threatens you again, just offer him the other cheek. Now that doesn’t mean go and let him hit you on the other cheek, but if he ever tries to threaten you, just get somepony who’s older than you to help you, or if he ever does that again, just walk away,” Saber said. Star finally understood what he meant.
“Oh…I get it now. Wow, I wish I was smart and wise as you Saber,” Star said and he chuckled.
“Well, when you grow up and take over the kingdom like your sisters, you’ll have greater wisdom. But for now, just be happy with the life you have, okay?” Saber asked. Star nodded and looked out in the horizon with Saber.
“Saber…I’m glad you’re my foalsitter,” Star said as he hugged him.
“Well, I’m glad you’re my foal that I can watch,” Saber said. Star smiled, but then he sniffed the air and looked out to the plain and had a growling tone in his voice.
“What is it Star, what do you sense?” Saber asked. Star examined the plains a bit and looked all over it.
“I smell something…four…no, ten targets. Six are heading to the south gate, while the other four are…GET DOWN!” Star pulled Saber down just in time from being hit by a giant boulder that fell in the square of the kingdom.
“Wow, if we live through this buddy I’ll buy you sushi at Rainbow’s Bar,” Saber said as he got up.
“What should I do now Saber?” Star asked.
“Go back to the castle. Tell Uncle that the south agate is about to be over run, I’ll handle this part,” Saber said. Star nodded his head and ran as fast as he can. Mist Wing ran up to Saber’s side helps him up and looked pump.
“Who’s attacking us? Is it buzzards, please let be buzzards!” He shouted. Saber looked at him like he was craving buzzards for dinner.
“I don’t know…but whoever is attacking us, they’re strong enough to chuck that boulder over our gates!” Saber shouted. They walked over to the edge of the gate and saw the shadowy figures that attacked them.
“Saber…we’ve a breach in the south gates!” A stallion shouted to him. Saber bit his tongue.
“Alright, I’ll handle the intruders, you guy’s handle the ones attacking the gates!” Saber shouted. He jump off of the gate and landed on his hoofs. He ran as fast as he can to the breached in gate. Saber closed his eyes and laid his front hoof on the ground. He used his telepathic powers and zoomed in on the intruders. They were heading towards the castle! Saber gritted his teeth and ran faster than ever to reach the castle. As he was running his two teammates jump by his side.
“Hey man, thought we were going to let you have all of the fun?” Mist said.
“Let’s get to the castle double time! Rose is in danger,” Saber said. The two nodded their heads and ran as fast as lightning. Star ran up to the castle and saw Rose was talking to Fuchsia. He ran up and held onto her tightly.
“Ow, Star…what’s the problem?’ Rose asked.
“Invaders are in the village, and three are heading this way!” Star shouted. Rose was shocked.
“Fuchsia, go and get uncle, I’ll take Star and head to the lower chamber for shelter,” Rose said.
“Okay…I’ll meet you two there once I’m done,” Fuchsia said and flew off. Star held onto Rose even tighter.
“Star look at me. Calm down, and relax. Come, we’ve got to get to the lower shelter,” Rose said.
“Okay,” Star said. Rose held onto Star and they both ran to the lower chamber for shelter. As they were running, some of the royal guards were marching off towards their battle positions. Two guards ran up to Rose and Star.
“Your highness and your majesty, come with us, we’ll escort you to the lower chamber,” One of the royal guards hosted. They four of them ran past through the court yard and saw the incoming boulders flying in the air and smacked one of the upper regions of the castle.
“You soldier, go to the upper chamber and make sure the servants aren’t hurt,” Rose said. The guard shook his head and marched off to the upper chamber of the castle.
“You three, escort the princess and the prince to the lower chambers, now!” The guard shouted. The three nod and followed their orders. They escorted Rose and Star to the lower chamber. As they were running they were intercepted by the invaders.
“Going somewhere?” The intruder asked.
“Men protect the prince and the princess at any cost!” One of the guards shouted. The three guards charged them and held the intruders off.
“Your highness, we’ve got this, go and take yourselves to the chamber…now!” One of the guards shouted. Rose and Star were now faster than ever. As they reached the lower chambers two shadowy figures came out of the side.
“There you are princess. Come with us and you’ll be spared,” the enemy said. Star growled and charged at the enemy’s.
“Star, don’t fight them!” Rose shouted, but then Star was smacked in the face and was then thrown into the side of the wall. Star cough and grunted as he fell. He got up again and stood firm. The two looked at him.
“Why don’t you just die?” One of the figures shouted. Star stood up and faced them both.
“If I ran away…I would be abandoning my sister…my family…and I can’t do that take my life…but spare hers,” Star said. The figures looked at each other and smiled.
“This is something we’ve never heard of…well it would be better if we killed the princess…but killing the prince is even better,” One of the enemy’s drew out his knife.
“Any last words… little thing?” The figure said. Rose wasn’t going to let them hurt him.
“Stop, if it’s me you want, come and take me!” Rose shouted and then the other figure slapped her across the face. Rose fell on the ground and the two beasts stood in front of Star.
“You know, you should listen to your sister. We want her, not you,” The other said. Star smiled.
“Well, kill her you get nothing…but take me, you’ll get something better,” Star said. The two looked at him. Rose struggled to get up, but she was unable to.
“Star…please…don’t you do it,” Rose said. Star looked at her and formed a little grin.
“Well, are you going to do it, or are you just chicken?” Star said. The other figure was now mad. He brought up his knife and drew it to Star’s chest, but he was kicked in the face. The other figure stumbled back and helps his partner up. Star opened his eyes and saw Saber, just in time to save both of them.
“Star… I want you to take your sister now. I’ll handle these thugs,” Saber said. Star nod his headed over to help up Rose. She got up and they both ran to the other part of the tower. Saber’s dream went on like a flash back, and he knew what had happened that unfaithful day. He would’ve finished the story, if it wasn’t for Sunshine, who was shaking him, side to side. Saber woke up and saw Sunshine standing by his side. Saber got up, feeling better.
“You’re finally awake now Saber?” Sunshine said. Saber yawned and scratches his head.
“How long was I out?” Saber asked. Sunshine put on her coat, and responded.
“You were out for at least seven hours,” Sunshine asked. Saber couldn’t believe it. He was asleep for that long?”
“Felt like only a couple of minutes,” Saber said. Sunshine threw him some clothes.
“It would feel like that, the tea you drank help you healed on time,” Sunshine said. Saber knew that the tea was affecting him, but in a good way. He felt like he had enough power to stop Magma again.
“Where are we going?” Saber asked as he puts on a heavy coat.
“I’m going to show you the base camp, and see if these draconians are willing to fight,” Sunshine said. Saber felt a little uncomfortable and nervous.
“Well, let’s not keep them waiting,” Saber said and put’s on the rest of his clothes he was given. He like the way how it suited him.
“You like them? They’re traditional Dragonlorian clothes, only used for those who started their training. I suppose you’ll do with it,” Sunshine said. Saber looked and checks out himself in a mirror and saw he looked good. The way how the dark brown leather coat over lapped his body felt warm, his wrist garment were carved with special writing, he basically looked like a Dragonlorian himself.
“Lead the way Sunshine,” Saber said. Sunshine smiled and walked out of the followed by Saber.
As Sunshine lead the way, Saber saw something he wouldn’t see in a life time. He saw the remaining Dragonlorians, getting ready and preparing for the battle.
“Impressed by what you see? This is the reaming armies of those who are willing to fight for their freedom, for their right’s to live, for their families,” Sunshine said. Saber‘s mind was going crazy right now.
“How much are there?” Saber asked.
“About four hundred…we’ve tried to gather much from the past, but many choose to remain hidden,” Sunshine said.
“You know many of these Dragonlorians are doing the right thing…fighting for what is right,” Saber announced.
“It’s thanks to your friend. It’s because of him that he made us show ourselves again,” Sunshine announced.
“Sunshine…aid Equestria…aid Star and his manes, they need you,” Saber said. Sunshine stops and turned to face him.
“Do you want to know why we went into hiding? When the Westgate Kingdom fell, we had no choice but to remain in silence! It was your kingdom, your uncle’s fault! Why should we aid your kingdom?” Sunshine shouted.
“I know you’re mad at us, and you have the right to be! But it’s not just our kingdom; Lightning’s, Chrysalis, Canterlots, any kingdom that dares or tries to resist King Thunders rein and supremacy, they’ll all fall!” Saber shouted.
“Well, you would know how we feel then! After all, your uncle did send forces at us during the fall of the West gate fell, during your king’s time!” Sunshine said. Saber was now confused.
“What are you talking about?” Saber asked.
“Don’t play dumb! During that time your king was in charge of the Rose Heart Kingdom!” Sunshine said. Saber raised an eyebrow.
“That’s impossible; your kingdom was in our alliance during our king’s time. He made the treaty with your king himself. When our king died, that’s when we haven’t heard from you ever since, after what he had head of your kingdom falling, we’ve assume the worst” Saber said. Sunshine was now confused as him.
“Then who lead the assault on our kingdom?” Sunshine said. Saber thought hard, he thought way back then.
“What did the forces that invaded you look like?” Saber asked. Sunshine thought hard.
“They had red and black armor. They bore an eagle banner, an eagle that had a snake in its mouth, and had two objects in its talons. A scroll on fire in its left, and a ring in the other,” Sunshine said. Saber’s eyes were now shot with fear. He knew what had happened. They were all framed, every signal one of them.
“We’ve been framed. That wasn’t us that attacked you. That was King Thunders men, the last of what had happened to them!” Saber shouted. Sunshine was now afraid.
“Then…our kingdoms…we’re supposed to fight together,” Sunshine said. Saber looked at her.
“Sunshine, I’m going to give them a little pep talk,” Saber said and ran up to see if he can find a high place to shout. As he ran up to a tall stump, he stood on top and saw Sunshine, and the others running up to see what was happing. “Fellow Dragonlorians, hear me!” Saber shouted.
“Who are you?” One of them shouted.
“My name is Sabernight; I come from the Rose Heart Kingdom. Listen to me, you have not need to hide, we’ve been fighting each other, but no more! We must follow each other into battle,” Saber shouted. The Dragonlorians all laugh and scoffed.
“Why should we, your kingdom is the reason we hide,” One of them shouted.
“You have it wrong, we’re not your enemy’s and you are not ours! If you can just listen to me, we can fight together and bring peace to Equestria,” Saber shouted.
“But isn’t it your fault we hide today?” Another said.
“It was not us; we never meant to have war between or your kingdom!” Saber shouted.
“Yet, here we are, hiding and fighting for our rights to live!” Another shouted. Saber took a deep breath.
“From the fires of the brave, there will be a day when all kingdoms stand together as one, fighting for what they know what is right. They will fight for what is still worth fighting for. Fight for us, fight for us and you’ll never fear to hide, or fear death as long as we fight together,” Saber said. One of the Dragonlorians walked up to Saber.
“Why should we, when we have nothing to fight for? Titans have allied with King Thunder’s men, what good are we against such beast of abomination?” One of the draconians said. Saber looked at him.
“My fellow draconian, do you remember the stories you used to hear form your mothers or fathers or of those who fought in wars with other kingdoms or fought alongside other kingdoms, the ones that were filled with hazard and obscurity? You would listen and then when it got too much you close your eyes and always shut your ears because you didn’t want to know the end of it…because how could the end of each of the stories be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was before, when so many wicked and malevolent has happened? But in the end of each story, it’s only short-lived memories. There will be day, when the good will defeat the evil, and when the shinning sun comes out of the horizon, it’ll shine on a new land, a new world, a new era. In each of those stories, the heroes and their partners would always have a chance to go back, but they never did. They never looked or went back to their ways, because they were fighting for something worth the fighting for,” Saber said. The Dragonlorians were all but quiet. But out of the quietness a scout running came back and shouted a report.
“Star has called for all to convert to Canterlot! He calls for aid” The scout said. Sunshine looked at Saber and all he did was nod.
“Then we will answer. As his sister and as my king, I’ll help him, but what about all of you?” Sunshine asked. They all remained silent until one little one stood up.
“I will fight for my king,” He said. Then another one stood.
“So will I,” another said. Then one after another each one had stood up raising their hoofs in the air. Saber smiled as each one in this base camp raised their hoofs in the air and shouted.
“Then now is the hour, Dragonlorians of this land, oaths you have taken to fight for freedom. Now, fulfill them for you Lord and for Equestria!” Saber shouted and the whole camp raised their weapons in the air and shouted their battle cry.
“Saber, there’s somepony who wants to meet you. He claims to be an old friend,” Sunshine said. Saber wondered who the pony she was talking about was. He followed Sunshine to a tent that was near the edge of the cliff, so you can see all of the mountains view. She opened the curtain and offered him in. Saber sighed and walked in the tent. At first he saw nothing, but then he saw in the corner what looked like some kind of battle armor. It had a gold dragon markings on it, silver plated plates on the front and had bronze shackle chains. He studied the armor a bit and he couldn’t believe it. This armor belonged to a Rose Heart knight, but not just any knight. Saber finally knew who she was referring to!
“Hey there Saber, looking good,” A voice called out. Saber turned swiftly as he knew who that low voice belonged to. He felt his heart pumping; his face sweating and his adrenalin ready to embrace a certain pony that he had saw pass away.
“It can’t be, but I saw you-!” Saber was interrupted by the ponies hoof.
“No, that was a mere clone. I did a cloning spell before my defeat. I’m the real deal Saber,” the pony said. Sunshine walked in and smiled.
“We saved his life after he had flown down a river almost half dead. He used up his magic to make a clone of himself to think the enemy had killed their lieutenant,” Sunshine said.
“Now that I’m healed, I’m ready to give them a little payback!” The pony said as he placed on his battle armor. He looked at Saber, and opened a trunk and gave Saber his armor he had fixe up.
“Well, you know he’s going to kill you for doing this man,” Saber said as he placed on his armor. The pony laughs at Saber.
‘Well, that’s the king of reputation you get when you’re a master of fake deaths,” The pony said and placed on his helmet.
“Sunshine, tell the Dragonlorians that the time of waiting is over…the time for the Rose Heart Kingdom to rise…has begun,” Saber said and Sunshine smiled and dashed out of the tent. Saber was now left alone with his friend.
“You sure you’re ready?” the pony asked. Saber smiled and placed on his helmet.
“I’m ready for anything, now that your here…Shade Tail,” Saber announced and Shade came forth, smiling and ran up to hugged his friend tightly and felt like he could never let go. After the happy moment Saber and his old friend were now ready for battle. They left the tent and gathering the rest of the Dragonlorians to be ready for battle. Saber walked down the trail and gathered up as many of the fighters they can get. Saber saw one little filly dressed up for battle.
“I think it’s not wise of you to fight,” Saber said. The filly looked at him.
“With all due respect mister…my family fought wars for years. It would be a dishonor if I never went to battle,” The little filly said. Saber looked at him and the little filly brought back the memory of Saber seeing Star this young.
“Very well, you’ll ride with the second battalion, and make haste!” Saber said. The filly smile and ran off to stand by the second battalion’s side. Shade walked up by Saber and smiled.
“Oh, the sweet memories of teaming up, remember those day’s?” Shade said. Saber smiled.
“Yeah, Sunshine… the armies, are they ready?” Saber asked. Sunshine turned to face him.
“Yes Saber…they await your order,” Sunshine said.
“It’ll be at least three days’ time to ponyville,” Shade said.
“Then we must muster as much forces to help defend ponyville, go to the north and find any able body pony to fight, you have two days. On the third day, we break for ponyville, and to war,” Saber said. Shade smiled and Saber walked in front of the many draconians. “Dragonlorians…I see you are ready to fight for your freedom, for your right’s to live, for your families. Now ride for glory, for honor, and for your king!” Saber shouted. The armies shouted and their echo of their cry was heard all over the mountain. Saber then turned and lead the armies down the hill. Shade flew in the sky to the north and Sunshine followed Saber. The rest of the armies either ran or flew to ponyville. The day of darkness and disharmony is over…the time for friendship has come.
The Rise of the Rose Heart Kingdom
Chapter 6
As the night drew closer in the land of Equestria, the chilly wind brought in the sense of fear into every ponies eyes and hearts. An estimation of nine hundred spears was ready for battle.
“Could’ve picked a better spot,” Fuchsia complained as she tried to see over the wall. Rose walked up to Lightning and held his hand.
“Lightning…your friends are with you,” Rose said.
“Let’s hope they survive the night,” Fuchsia said. As the night drew ever so closer, it brought the sound of pouring rain. The rain poured on the village, and there was nothing but silence in the valley. Many of the ponies were intense and nervous about what was happing. Many held onto one of another, hoping they will die together. As the rain continued to pour, a faint light, glowing in the distance signaled the armies it was time. The enemy had advanced and was now at the very door step of the village. Lightning walked along side of the gate, giving a little speech to his fellow knights.
“Be sure to show them no mercy, for you will be shown none,” Lightning said. Magma stood over by, seeing as the defending gates were very well protected.
“Halt the troops,” Magma said. One of his commanding officers roared in the night and the marching armies held position. The two armed forces stood at bay, looking at each other from far away distance. This was it, it was this or Equestria.
“Lightning, whatever what happens, we can’t let them gather the last of the purple smoke from ponyville,” Thunder mentioned. Lightning scoffed.
“You think I don’t know that?” Lightning asked. The pouring rain brought the sounds of tremendous thunder in the skies, and flashes of lightning. The enemies that were silent had started to slam and pound their weapons on the ground, shouting and screaming their battle cry. As the enemy banged their weapons on the ground a stallion fired a shot a little too early and shot one of the dark stallions dead.
Hold your fire,” Lightning said. The stallion fell down dead and the enemy was now angrier than ever. The screamed and shouted their voices in the air and looked at Magma for the call. Magma smile and lifted his hoof up.
“Well, well, well. Some warning shot. My armies, ATTACK!” Magma shouted and swipes his hoof down, signaling all of his troops to attack. As the enemy charged at the gate, Lightning raised his voice.
“Draw arrows and horns,” Lightning said. All of the unicorns and ponies drew up their weapons and held their positions. As the enemy cam a little closer to the gates, the defending armies were ready for them.
“Shoot beneath the chest…their armor is thick below,” Rose said. Lightning then gave the command.
“RELEASE YOUR ARROWS AND MAGIC!” Lightning ordered. The ponies on top of the gates fired their weapons and the battle had now begun. The arrows and magic killed many of the enemies below. Celestia saw the battle and decided to help.
“Give them a volley,” Celestia said. Luna nodded her head.
“Open fire!” Luna shouted and all of the knights opened fired at the enemy. The ponies fired many shots and hit many targets. But the enemy below had shooters of their own. Crossbows fired shots up on the gates and fired down many of the ponies on top. The defending armies were now taking hits and losses quicker than their enemy. As the two armies fought by arrows and magic, half had come with boarders and ladders to breach the gates.
“Prepare for boarders!” Lightning shouted.
“Prepare for what?” Fuchsia asked. As the ladders drew closer, Lightning drew out his sword.
“Swords, take up your swords!” Lighting shouted. Lightning’s men, Chrysalis men, and many other ponies drew up tier weapons and prepared for the attackers. As the ladders came down and dropped the enemy climb them up and were now breaching the gates. The ponies used everything they had or got to defeat the dark armies and tried their best to hold them. Ever the enemy was powerful and came in hard. Fuchsia and Rose fought as well, defining the gates from the boarders and fighters. Lightning and Thunder Dash fought hard as well, trying to save the gates as best as they can.
“Hey Lightning…three already,” Thunder announced. Lightning scoffed.
“I’m on seventeen!” Lightning said. Thunders eyes widen.
Bah, I won’t be beaten by any brother of mine in this competition!” Thunder said. He saw an incoming goblin and dogged his ax from cutting off Thunders head. Thunder then stabbed him with his sword and kicked him off the gate. The ponies held their position as best as they can, but the hearts of the ponies grew warm and their desire to keep the enemy at bay was no enough to fight back against these monsters. Celestia however was not pleased and was not impressed at what King Thunder Claw had tried to do.
“Is this it? Is this all you can throw at us King Thunder Claw?” Celestia asked. Just in the square of ponyville, where the sentries were keeping guard, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were on duty and can hear the battle form the gates to the square.
“Man…sounds like the battle is intense,” Scootaloo said.
“I’m scared, what if we don’t survive?” Sweetie Belle asked.
“Now come on girls, we’re the Cutie mark Crusaders and if we can do anything, ten we can pass this,” Apple Bloom said. The three clapped their hoofs in the air and then heard a little crackling sound. They stopped and looked around themselves to see what made that sound. The three shiver in fear and were probably biting off more than they can chew. A small crack formed right in front of Scootaloo and she flip out.
“Yo, girls, there’s something there!” Scootaloo said. The three walked slowly to check it out and saw it looked like a rock.
“It looks like a rock,” Sweetie Belle said. They took one closer look and it had this weird face on it, like it was angry.
“What in ponyvilles name is wrong with that rock?” Apple Bloom asked. Scootaloo jabbed her staff at it and it freaked them out even more, because as soon as she did that, the stone turned to face Scootaloo and started to growl.
“Okay that is just creepy!” Scootaloo said.
“Oh, it’s not just creepy, it’s alive,” A voice called out form the shadows. The three turned quickly around and saw what looked like a stallion.
“Who are you?” Apple Bloom asked. Magma snickered.
“This is all Lighting Dash can throw? Sending in little fillies to fight as well? He must be weak for someone with his attitude,” Magma said as he drew out his horn. The three huddled up together and pointe their weapons at the enemy. Magma slammed his hoof down and forced out the little rock. Only this rock wasn’t little anymore, it was big!
“What…is…THAT!?” Scootaloo shouted. Magma formed a little smile.
“I would run if I were you…oh wait, I’m not, crush them!” Magma ordered. Then out form the ground busted the titans! The three froze dead silent and ran to the school bell. They ranged the bell and alerted the whole village.
“TITANS, TITANS IN THE VILLAGE, HELP!” The three shouted and Lightning saw from behind him that this was all a diversion! They were supposed to keep the enemy busy so that the titans could take the purple smoke, this was not good. Below the gates, two dark stallions placed bombs on the gate walls and prepared them for dentation. As the last of the bombs war planted, a berserker came running across the battle field, carrying a touch and was running towards the planted bombs. Lightning saw him and signaled his little brother.
“Thunder Dash, shoot him!” Lightning shouted. Thunder shot one arrow at him, but he was still running. “Shoot him down, shoot him down!” Lightning shouted once more. Thunder fired another arrow at him, but it was too late. As soon as that berserker ran to the gates, he dropped the torch and the defending gates lit up in the sky. Parts of the gates flew up in the air and so did many of the battalions on top of them. Celestia heard and saw the explosion from afar. She couldn’t believe her eyes, the gates were breached. As the enemy stormed the breached gates, Lightning was down on the ground unconscious because he was on the gate before and after it had exploded.
“Lightning, watch out!” Rose shouted. She jump down from the gate and used her magic to blow away the enemies. She ran to Lightning Dash’s side and Lightning cough a bit of dirt.
“Cough…Thanks Rose, archers, fire!” Lighting shouted as the village archers’ opened fired at the enemy. Lighting and Rose drew their horns and led the rest of the armies head on.
“Draw your swords, and CHARGE!” Rose shouted. Lighting’s eyes jolted as she yelled. He smiled, ran to her side, and the charging armies faced each other head on. As the clashing sound of weapons clanged together, the tension of the battle grew even fiercer. Meanwhile, some of the defending armies were fighting against the titans that had breached the gates from underground. Celestia drew her horn’s magic.
“Move quickly to the first level! Help them defeat the titans,” Celestia shouted. One of the royal guards saluted and led a squad of royal guards to help the other ponies attack the genii. Among the ponies were Shining armor and Princess Cadence, helping their ponies as well. They knew their mission was simple…Defeat the Titans, destroy the dark armies, and prevent them from gathering the last of the purple smoke. The titans were all over the place though, some were big and some were small. Many of the ponies held their ground by either stinking to each other’s side, or fighting endlessly together. Armor and Cadence were pulling it off as well. The two couples were fighting like no tomorrow and were doing fine. The ponies cheered their victory cry as their heroes came in and help them. Magma, overhearing their cheerful cries, saw the battle from afar and thought silently to him.
“So, they shout their victory cries as their prince and princess fight alongside with them,” Magma said. He closed his eyes and teleported into the battle field. As he descended to the ground many of the titans and dark armies withdrew from the fighting, and the other armies were shaking in fear as they saw the commander of the dark armies arrived on the battle. Armor and Cadence saw their ponies stood tier ground. Magma smiled.
“You better go back to the darkness where you belong. Come on guards, attack!” One of the sentries shouted. Fifty of the sentinels charged at Magma, ready to fight.
“No, get away from him!” Armor shouted. But it was too late, Magma peered open his eyes and blew away all of the guards away, and sliced some in half as well, due to the power of his magic he displayed. Magma stood silently after he had defeated them in one strike. All that was left was Armor, Cadence and a couple of the crystal ponies to fight. Armor ran up to the ponies that Magma had decimated and clenched his hoof. “You monster, you killed them!” Armor shouted. Magma stood silently and looked at Armor.
“Hmm, they had it coming. Besides, you’re infuriation is causing a pain to me,” Magma said. Armor stood up, and faced Magma. He had never known there was somepony stronger than fifty of his best guards.
“Why don’t you try me?” Armor asked as he stood and faced him. Magma smirked.
“I guess I can try…one more thing though, no cheating!” Magma shouted. He then slammed his hoof on the ground, causing a fire ring to go around him and Armor, and blocking off Cadence and the rest of the ponies trying to assist him.
“Armor, what do we do?” Cadence shouted and asked from the distance.
“Stay back honey…I’ll handle this,” Armor alleged. Magma and Armor walked around each other, studying each other’s movements.
“Tell me Armor, how is your sister?” Magma asked. Armor’s eyes squinted at the question.
“How do you know my sister Twili?” Armor asked in frustration.
“You think I’m daft? I know who you and your sister are…The Sparkles, Prince Shining Armor Sparkle of the Crystal Empire, and Princess Twilight Sparkle of Ponyville, you two do have so much in common,” Magma said. Armor gritted his teeth.
“You shut your trap about my family!” Armor shouted.
“Why should I? After all, she’s going to be next on my hit list,” Magma, said. Then in a flash, Armor jolted up and suckered punched Magma in the face and sent in flying. Magma got up and saw Armor was already up at Magma’s face again and delivered another punch. Magma fell on the ground, staggering to get up. Armor stood ten feet from where Magma was down, and was ticked.
“If you lay even a hoof on Twilight, I’ll kill you!” Armor growled at him. Magma wiped his mouth and saw his first blood. Magma smiled and stood up, cracking and popping his neck.
“No pony has ever been able to lay a hoof on me, nor have they shed my blood…THIS IS GETTING EXCITING!” Magma shouted and flames started to form around him, causing to make Magma a fire shield around his body. Armor covered his eyes, due to the result of the intense heat.
“Armor, what do I do? I can’t get in and assist you!” Cadence shouted. She tried to get closer, but the flames wiped around her and she had to back off again. Armor turned and shouted.
“Stay back Cadence! If you come to close you’ll end up fried! I’ll handle this myself, you go help the others. Remember, they must not get the purple smoke from the village!” Armor shouted. Cadence nodded her head and flew off to help the other armies. Soon it was down to the two stallions.
“It was wise of you to send her away. If she came in, she would’ve died,” Magma said. Armor’s temper started to build.
“If you even think about touching her, YOU’RE DEAD!” Armor announced. Magma laughs at Armors confidence.
“Look at you, your hate is well appetizing…show me some more!” Magma shouted. He then charged at Armor and kicked him, causing the unicorn to go flying almost into the fire. Armor slammed his hoof in the ground, preventing him from hitting the flaming ring. Armor got up, and jolted again at Magma. Magma then lifted his hoof up in the sky and caused the fire to burst from the ground. Armor however dogged every one of the blast, and used his magic to shoot a beam of magic at Magma’s body. The flames though, consumed the magic and grew even bigger and made Magma’s fire armor more intense than ever.
“You see Armor; your magic is weak against my powers!” Magma said. Armor smirked and teleported right in front to f Magma. Magma looked around and didn’t see him, until he looked down and saw the floor crack beneath him. Magma tried to jump out of the way, but Armor burst out of the ground and delivered an uppercut right into Magma in the jaw, sending him flying in the sky. Armor then jump in the air, grabbed Magma by the leg, threw him back down, and then slammed his back foot right into Magmas gut. The defenseless foe fell from the sky and slammed into eh ground, causing an immense shock wave around the field. Armor landed on his feet and smiled at Magma.
“I don’t just need magic to defeat you,” Armor stated. Magma got up, and coughs up more of his blood. Magma had never felt this much power in decades.
“Heh, you’re so full of confidence are you? Well, lest see were confidence leads you to!” Magma shouted. He then sent a wave of fire at Armor, causing him to drop his guard. AS Armor regained his position, he was blindsided by Magmas sword beam. Armor received a cut to the check and backed away from Magma. He had never seen any type of magic like this before.
“What is that trick? I have never perceived magic being formed physically into a blade,” Armor said.
“You like it? It takes four weeks to master the spell, but if you’re really gifted, it takes only five days, and I’m, one of the lucky ones,” Magma said. Armor took stance again and faced off Magma once more. As Magma came again at Armor, he dogged the attack and tried to give Magma a doing, but Magma grabbed his fist and punched Armor right in the gut. Armor fell and was delivered by another blow to the face.
“So, you really don’t just need magic to defeat me?” Magma asked and pointed his blade at Amor. Armor got up, and wiped the sweat and blood away from his body.
“Guess, I got to play serious then,” Armor said. He strapped off his armor and threw it aside, but instead of falling lightly, it fell as if it was made of bricks. Armor popped his neck and flexed his muscles.
“SO, you were wearing weighted clothes the whole time?” Magma asked.
“Yeah, now lest see who’s the weak one,” Armor said. He then sprinted like a quick eagle and punched Magma in the gut. Magma fell, trying to get back up, but Armor then gave Magma another blow to the face, stomach, head, and side of his body. He then kicked Magma in the air, then jumped up, aced him, and slammed his hoof into Magmas face, shooting him down from the sky. As the impact of Magma’s body formed a crater around him, Armor ascended from the sky and landed in front of him. Magma slightly got up, struggling to speak.
“S…so…it’s…true…about…what…they…cough…say.” Magma grunted and spoke. Armor’s eyes squinted.
“What who say, what are you talking about?” Armor asked. Magma got up, yet fell on his knees and clenched the ground. Though, Armor saw that even though Magma’s face was beat up, Magma was somehow smiling! Why was he smiling? Was he smiling because he knows he’s outmatched, or…no, something else was going on in his mind; but what?
“They…said…the power…and the…blood of…the…Sparkles were strong…but I never…cough…thought I would be the first to witness it,” Magma said. Armor didn’t know what this crazy lunatic was talking about!
“What about my blood?” Armor asked again. Magma stood on his knees reaming silent and still. Armor ran up to him, grabbed him by the neck and faced him dead in the eye. “What are you talking about? What about my bloodline?” Armor asked once more. Magma started to laugh, which freaked Armor out.
“You think it’s easy to defeat me? I was just testing your powers…But now that you’ve played serious though the whole time, I guess it is my turn!” Magma shouted. He then slammed his right hoof into Armors gut, and sent him soaring through the fire rings, and landing on his side. Armor coughs and grunted as he felt the pain surging through his stomach. Magma walked slowly to Armor and grabbed him by the collar of his armor.
“You…better…not…hurt…Twilight!” Armor grunted. Magma smiled.
“Oh, I think I’ll wait for the opportunity. But know this Armor… WE ARE MIGHTY!” Then in a split second, there was a certain stabbing sound and a solemn grunt in the air. Lighting heard it from the distance and saw what he couldn’t believe! Armor looked down at his body and saw a blade was stuck into his gut. Armor felt the pain, but also felt different. He felt his power fading away.
“What…are…you…cough…doing…gack…to…ME!?” Armor grunted and felt a cold presence. As Armor saw his body again, he noticed his legs were turning pale gray…and his body felt heavy. Magma’s eyes were closed and somehow, his wounds were healing faster than ever. It took some time for Armor to realize, he was having his life drained from him. Armor tried to pull away, but his strength was falling faster than ever.
“ARMOR, NOOOO!” Lighting shouted and battled his way through some of the dark armies to catch up to the fallen prince. As Magma looked into the eyes of the Prince of the Crystal Empire, he removed the blade from him and Armor soon drained of his life force, was turned to stone and frozen in the hill side of the village. As the defending ponies saw what had happened, Magma looked at their eyes and announced a hearing.
“THIS IS AN EXZAMPLE OF THOSE WHO DARE RESIST OUR MIGHT!” Magma shouted. He then shifted his left arm and slammed his hoof into the statue of Shining Armor, which broke into pieces and collapsed right in front of all those who loved Armor. As the head of Armor fell to the ground, Magma lifted his rear leg, and slammed his foot into it, causing the statue to crumble into millions of broken pieces. Lighting saw the incident right before his eyes and screamed.
“NO!”As Lightning’s cry fell into the wind, all of the other ponies fled and ran away, for their prince was gone! However some were still fighting, but were no match for the strength of the overwhelming enemies. Cadence saw her husband die with her own eyes and cried out.
“ARMOR NO!” Cadence cried and tried to run to him, but some of the guards were holding her back, fearing that they might lose their princess as well. As Magma picked up a ring from Armors remains, he saw Lighting and stared at him.
“YOU MONSTER, I WON”T FORGIVE YOU!” Lightning shouted. Magma threw the ring on the ground right next to Lightings legs.
“Know this Lightning Dash…even though there is peace in the world, there will always be a small portion of hate that will consume it,” Magma said. Lighting charged at him, but in a blink of an eye, Magma disappeared and Lighting was left alone on the hill side. He saw and overlook the battle…they had lost. The village was overrun and many ponies were dying right in front of each other’s eyes. As Magma teleported to one of his commanders, the titan bowed.
“What is the report?” Magma asked as he brushed off his armor and spat out a little more of his blood on the ground at the face of a dead guard.
“My lord…we’ve done our duty. The last of the Chaotic Smog is collected,” The beast announced. Magma saw the dust and examined it in the glass orbs it was collected in.
“…Kill them all, I’ll return with the smog,” Magma said. He then took the orbs, walked away, and teleported again, this time far away from the battle. As the rest of the armies charged through the village, the ponies tried their best to hold them off.
“My lady…there’s nothing we can do! There’s just too many of them!” One of the guards shouted.
“We must hold them off! Don’t stop fighting!” Celestia shouted.
“Sister…if this to be the end, then let us make it the last fight we’ve battled together,” Luna said. Celestia held her sister tightly and kissed her on the forehead.
“Yes my dear Luna…If this is indeed to be our final stand, then let us face death together CHARGE!” Celestia shouted. As the defending armies held their post, the battle became more immense. Celestia was about to hit one titan, but then out of nowhere a stray arrow fell from the sky and smacked the titan in the face. Celestia wondered who shot that.
“Thank you, royal guard!” Celestia shouted. The guard looked at her.
“What are you talking about your highness, I didn’t shot that arrow,” The guard responded.
“Sister, look on the mountain peak!” Luna shouted. As the defending armies saw what looked like a shadowy figure, it was a pony, dressed in a bronze silver armor.
“It can’t be…HE’S ALIVE! ROSE IT’S HIM, HE’S ALIVE!” Lighting shouted. Rose, overhearing Lightning’s shouts, looked at the horizon and saw what looked like a unicorn in the far distance. Her eyes started to form tears as she saw who the figure was. On the mountain top, the unicorn, Saber over looked the battle and saw the destruction.
“The defending armies stand alone,” Saber said. Then Shade flew to his side and smiled.
“They’re not alone, DRACONIANS…!” Shade shouted and raised his hoof. Soon the mountain top was full of pony dragon like warriors, dressed in battle armor and ready to fight.
“…Shade and Saber, they’re alive!” Rose shouted.
“…TO THE ALLIES!” Shade shouted. As he and Saber charged down the mountain, the rest of the draconian army followed them charging into battle. As the dark armies shifted their positions to the reinforcement position they laid their pikes and were ready. Even though the reinforcements were little, they had one ally that help them…as the armies came closer, a ray of bright light shinned through the horizon and blinded the foes, causing them to break formation, and being trampled on by the forces of good. The rest of the armies joined forces and engaged the rest of the armies together. As the two forces collided with the enemy, the defending allies were able to hold their plots off, and were victorious in the end. One by one, many of the dark armies fell to the might of the united forces of good. As the battle died down, the forces of good had won, but their victory was not a joyful one for many brave, courageous, and great ponies died for the sake of the ponies they loved, and for the home the tried to defend. Saber and Shade walked up to Rose and Fuchsia, who were trying to hold back their tears of joy.
“Hey…I’m back,” Saber announced. Rose walked up to Saber, looked at him in the eye…and smacked him across the face. “OW, what was that for?” Saber asked in pain.
“YOU…YOU…You stubborn jerk! I thought you were dead!” Rose said as she started to cry and held onto her best friend. Shade laughs at the humor.
“Well, at least I’m not in troub-!” Shades words were short after Fuchsia had slammed her hoof on Shades head. GAH, Fuchsia!” Shade shouted.
“DON’T START LAUGHING AT SABER SHADE! I thought I lost you too,” Fuchsia said as she held Shade tightly as well. Lightning and Thunder Dash walked up to the two and were also surprised.
“So, you must be Thunder Dash…You treating Fuchsia well?” Shade said as he looked at the prince dead in the eye.
“Uh...y...yeah…I…uh…I give her a good time,” Thunder said. Shade observed him for a bit and chuckled.
“What’s so funny?” Fuchsia asked.
“Nothing…it’s just, well, I think we’re going to get along just fine,” Shade said as he grabbed Thunder and patted him on the shoulder.
“What happened to you two? Where did this army come from?” Rose asked. Suddenly an orange red pony walk’s up to Rose and removes her hood.
“Allow me to introduce Sunshine Dash, leader of the Draconian armies…and Star’s older sister,” Saber announced.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for looking after my kid brother,” Sunshine said as she bowed.
“…No…uh…the…pleasures all…mine,” Rose stuttered and bowed back.
“She’s been gathering enough of her people to muster enough armies for us to untie,” Shade also added.
“Well, we need all the help we’re going to get. How many wounded?” Rose asked a royal guard. The guard rushed up to her.
“A dozen my lady…even more,” He responded.
“You know, my people are also good at healing and medicine, take me to your wounded, I’ll help them the best I can,” Sunshine said. The guard led Sunshine to the wounded at the camp, while Shade, Saber, Fuchsia, Rose, Thunder and Lighting were left alone.
“Where’s Star?” Shade asked.
“Really Shade? That’s the first question you ask? Where were you during the past four chapters?” Saber asked.
“HEY, I had to fake a death and hide with a bunch of draconians in a mountain, thank you very much!” Shade shouted. Rose rolled her eyes and broke up the two.
“Star went into the north pass with the mare six, trying to stop the northern armies from arriving, and by the looks of it…I think they succeeded,” Rose said.
“What makes you say that?” Lightning Dahs asked. Rose pointed in the distance from the hill and saw seven figures walking into the distance.
“Is that him?” Winter Breeze asked. Thunder Dash, being able to see so far away, knew it was them.
“Yeah…that’s them. They made back alive,” Thunder Dash said.
“Well, I better go hide so I can surprise Star, you in Saber?’ Shade asked. Saber looked at him for a couple of seconds.
“…Sigh, fine sure. But I’m not doing your little theme tricks again,” Saber announced and walked off.
“Hey, they’re a blast!” Shade shouted as he ran up to catch up to Saber. The other four were sadden about Shining Armor.
“What do we tell Twilight?” Lightning asked. Rose didn’t say anything for some time; she just looked out into the horizon, feeling the guilt of the losses they had encountered.
“Well tell her together,” Fuchsia said as she held her sisters hoof. Rose looked at them and smiled.
“We better go tell Star we’ve failed…but we’ve gained other additional forces,” Rose said.
“Well the, let’s go!” Thunder Dash said. The others walked down the ill towards the village, knowing that they had won this battle…But they had not won the war.
