Memories Of Days Past

Chapter Two

        During those three days, I was just really out of it, like I didn’t know what to think about anymore. My entire world was nothing but an infinitesimal speck on the planar scale, looking back I can say without a doubt that my worldview was shattered that day, and I was just trying to process that. My “friends”, they didn’t know what I knew and tried to find out what was wrong, I just told them I was staying up too late and not getting enough sleep, but they knew I was lying. Still the three days passed without too much occurrence, and when the third day rolled around, I knew what I was going to do.

        Walking outside, today felt like a day that the entire world would change, after all I am a bearer of harmony, what would happen if I just disappeared, my family, my friends, what about them? Deep inside I knew what I had to do, but I didn’t listen to that, I did what I wanted instead of what Equestria wanted. I was approaching the south side of town fairly quick and saw, there he was just leaning up against a house, as I approach he opens his eyes slowly and looks up at me, gets off the wall and walks towards me.

“So you decided to come along, or are you just here to capture me and send me off to Celestia?” he states with an almost bored expression on his face.

“As a matter of fact, I am here to take you up on your offer,” I curtly state back at him.

Without another word he turns around and starts walking towards the building he was leaning on earlier, approaching the door he just pushes it open and motions for me to follow in. What I didn’t know then was I was being followed, how foolish do I feel now trusting everyone just because. Well anyways, back to it….

Walking into the house, I didn’t know what I was expecting, it was dark and there was no light coming through the windows, the room I walked into was almost entirely empty, all that was there was an engraving on the floor. Turning my attention back to him, he was just waiting for something to happen. Something did happen of course, there was a great shattering noise and glass shards rained down beside me, I felt a wind and a blur speed past my vision. I turn to look at it to see Rainbow Dash lying on the floor knocked out cold from the impact.

I hear a loud sigh and he starts moving towards the broken window and waves his hoof and the glass is all gone the window repaired and we were plunged back into relative darkness. Well this is pretty awkward, one of my friends just smashed through a window in the building I had entered a few minutes ago.

“Well, now that all the distractions are taken care of we should start heading out,” he spoken in a quieter tone as if not to wake Rainbow Dash.

Still stunned from the random event, I nodded my head slowly trying to catch up to the events. I was worried about Rainbow Dash though, she was my friend and I’m just going to leave her and everyone else without a goodbye. I’m a bad friend, but I did it all to protect them or at least that’s what I tell myself to go to sleep at night. I started heading out the door when I saw the most peculiar thing, he was heading over to where Rainbow Dash was and picked her up and started to carry with him out the door. Sometimes I wish I knew that the hell he was doing, but then again that wouldn’t be as fun then.

        The night sky was nice, although we were in the Everfree the sky was still the same one. Rainbow Dash woke up a bit ago and she looked and acted as if this was a normal daily occurrence, well I was confused and of course as usual he hadn’t explained where the hell we were going. Now this has gotten me in a bad mood, it’s always so frustrating when he doesn’t tell you anything.

It  had gotten pretty dark now and I still didn’t know where we were going, why Rainbow Dash wasn’t freaking out, and why we just keep walking! It was pissing me the fuck off, sorry if I seem to be cursing a bit more, it calms the nerves, but anyway I was getting really tense. I started hearing things like a snap of a twig in the distance, some leaves rustling behind me, it was slowly driving me insane. Yet none of that seemed to affect the other two I was traveling with, for me it looked like they were having a nice stroll in the park!

After hours of silence, he suddenly halted and spoke up “Here we are, my home and base of operations,” he waved his hoof in front of himself.

I looked to the location his hoof gestured to, it was a wall. At that point I think I nearly strangled him on the spot, after hours of walking he brought me to a wall, a stupid fucking wall!

Right now I wasn’t thinking very clearly or much at all, but right now I was so pissed I just screamed in rage, “This is what you wanted to show me, a stupid wall in the middle of nowhere!”

At this point Rainbow Dash snickered and face hoofed, “Twi, I thought you were an egghead, come on it’s not that hard to figure out.”

That caught me off guard, Rainbow had finally spoken in hours and that was what it was, not a hello, are you alright, just hey you’re being dumb use your brain. I calmed down enough to formulate some cohesive thoughts, maybe it was an illusion, actually that made a lot of sense.

Now I face hoofed, “It’s an illusion isn’t it…., do I feel stupid, and  sorry at yelling at you Rainbow Dash.”

For some reason, before I could ask any questions, he shoved us through the wall. I didn’t scream like a little filly when I was pushed through, ok maybe a little. Anyways, there was a bright flash and I slumped to the floor looking like an idiot all the while.
