Memories Of Days Past

Chapter Six

It all happens so fast, you can barely register it happens. It was during my first escapade out in the Multiverse, I had just met the planeswalker and decided to go on a quick venture out to see some sights before I go back and meet up with the rest of the girls. As usual things like this never go on as planned….

        The Changeling Invasion, that was quite the experience. The first in a long line of events that I have decided to call the “Enlightenment”, that was the first time I had truly felt completely useless and alone. I had accused Cadence of being a fake, but all I had received in return was denial and rejection. I knew I was right but of course never trust the savior of Equestria because that seems like a great idea.

        I had my suspicions but I wasn’t a 100% sure, she did act strangely and did cause for questions. I was too caught up in the mood, a royal wedding and I can be part of it. It was going to be awesome, but when Twilight barged in and “attacked” Cadence, I should have known something was up.

        If I needed to do this on my own then fine, I’ll expose her myself all alone, and when I do they’ll have to say I was right. I feel a hoof pat my head and see Cadence, and when I do I try to spout off some apologies, but all she does is smile as her magic lights up. Bright green fires surround me and I start to panic as I start to feel myself sinking into the ground.

        I decide to give into my curiosity, and look around for strange and or mysterious ponies, to my good luck I see the planeswalker warp in and glance around, dust himself off and casually walk away. I sneakily follow him into the gardens when he turns around and before he sees me, I fly as fast as I can into him.

        I groggily wake up in some caves, look around for another pony. Then the walls reflect the one pony I wanted to see, the asshole who put me in here. I know I shouldn’t hate anypony but I’ll make an exception to the rule. I charge up my magic and blast into the walls as hard as I can and it hits the wall….and bounces back towards me….

        At the last second I duck in my head and wait for an impact that never comes, so I open my eyes and and there is the pony running away towards and orb, so logically the only thing I could do was chase him down. I follow him through the sphere and the bright flash of light, making me fall flat on my face.

        I get up and make sure I didn't injure anything too important, when I see something I thought I wouldn’t see, or should I say someone. It was her, I charged at her and tackled, me now above her with my horn pointed at her face all the while screaming obscenities. She tries to explain herself, but I won’t fall for her tricks again, so I push her up against the wall about to plunge my horn into her throat when I feel magic pull me away.

        I try to grab onto anything I could get my hooves on, but to no success as I still get carried away, I scream out for help but I receive no answers and slowly I get the feeling that this is the end, I guess she was right about there being something up. I can’t believe I left her just because I was gonna perform at the wedding, some friend I am.

        I look back to who was pulling be back and see the Princess, she has a look of disappointment and sadness. But, slowly I realize that she could also be an imposter, so I blast her with my magic and she loses her grip. I charge at her with an intention to kill, I now knew I couldn’t trust anyone.

        With a quick uppercut I’m now standing on top my captor, I finally know that I need to find that pony or something horrible will happen, I’d like to call it a gut feeling. I feel an object suddenly brush past my mane, I look behind me and see the pony with a bow and arrow in tow and scurrying away. I pick up the arrow in my mouth and speed right on after him.

        Hitting my mark I look down and see just what I did, I killed Celestia. Slowly dipping into insanity, just like the blood off my face I turn to Cadence and smile. I break Celestia's horn off and float it over to Cadence, with a look that screams out your next.

        Now face to face with the pony I have the arrow in my mouth, I stab it into the ground next to his face and scream out questions. He looks like he's panicking so I start to get even more frantic with questions until there’s a flash of light and Twilight’s under me now looking scared.

        Surprised by this new change, all I do to the imposter is end its miserable life quickly. I don’t have time to fuck around so I grab the horn and keep running through the caves, looking for a way out. Finally I see a path out….

        ….as I turn the corner, I start to break down. I just killed her, she started panicking and I pushed her off the cliffside, I couldn’t save her, all I could do was watch my failure fall to her doom. Right now I can’t afford to stop any longer I still need to get out, and find that stupid pony and stop his plans.

        I see the exit and finally crawl out into the open, covered in blood with an alicorn horn in my mouth snarling at the guards. They try to come over to me and calm me down, but I know that they aren’t really guards. The fakes try to let my guard down but I know too well, they bring me back to the city, but I saw my chance and sprinted towards the castle.

        Hearing shouts behind me, I start to run faster and faster. I see a light and I just know to run there, the shouts get closer and closer until….
