Chapter 1-The C.T.C. project Waterrusher POV
I yawned as I surfed through the S.C.E. (Science center of equestria) website. No interesting volunteer jobs. I almost turned the computer off before I saw the 'C.T.C.' project. I pressed it. Mystery project! I vollenteered, then flew up to bed.
"Hello? S.C.E here." an un-firmiliar voice shouted from behind the door. I opened it. "Hello. Are you Waterrusher?" the stallion looked at me. "Yes. Are you here for the C.T.C project?" I asked, fluffing up my mane with my hoof. "Yes. My name is Starhorn." the yellow stallion replied. "Oh, are you-" I couldn't finish, because before I knew it, his horn was glowing and the world went black.
I woke up on a cold, stone floor. Where was I? Then, I remembered the unicorn at my door. He must've teleported me. "Hello, Waterrusher." Princess celestia was looking down at me. I tryed not to yawn as I stood up. "H... hi..." I replied, looking over the room. Test-tubes, a huge computer, and asorted scientists. Starhorn was sitting down, looking at me with interest.
"You have volentered for project Change To Changling." Celestia looked at my cutiemark. I nodded. This was sounding awsome already!
"Please, drink." said a light blue stalllion as he handed me a black liquid. I looked over to Starhorn. He nodded. I put the liquid up to my mouth and drank. It tasted bad, but I knew that's how they all did. Then, a pink mare unicorn with Z's for a cutiemark came to me. Thats a peculiar cutiemark... I thought. I was about to ask her how she got it when suddenly, her her horn glowed. Then, drinking the last sip of the liquid, I started feeling drowsy. Then I collapsed.
Watterrusher's dream
"Hello..." Said a loud voice overhead. "H-hello..." I squeaked. She was an alicorn! "I am Celestia's mom, Waterrusher." she said, landing to the ground. "Really?" my ears went up. "Waterrusher, you have a long road ahead of you." she replied, landing to the ground.
"I... do?"
"Yes. Nopony will be as famous as you after you complete your quest."
"What? Oh.. you mean C.T.C? That's just a potion tryout!"
"No Waterrusher. You will aclompish many things."
"But.. I..." she became more transparent every second "No! Don't go!"
"I must go. But I will guide you. Stay strong, Waterrusher..." she trailed off. Then she was gone.
End dream
I grunted as I opened my eyes. Still on the floor, I didn't bother getting up. Celestia, Starhorn, And Princess Twilight Sparkle were looking down on me, smiling. "What's so cool? Did it work?" I asked. Then I got a glimpse off myself. Wait... I'm black!
Chapter 2 Waterrusher POV
________
"Waterrusher, calm down." Twilight ordered. I took a deep breath and sighed.
"What happened to me?" I asked.
"Waterrusher, you're now a changling. I will turn you back when nessicary, but now there is something else you need to do." Celestia replied.
"What is it?" I asked her.
"Spy on nthe changelings." Starhorn aswered her. I nodded. I had wanted an adventure, but this?
Oh, well. There's my luck. I thought. "Shall I teleport you?" Celesta offered. I nodded again. This time, the world didn't go black. It all turned green. then there was a flash, and everything was gone.
Star POV
I turned my head as the stranger woke up. "Hello." I smiled when she looked at me, wide-eyed. Suddenlly, as if she had remembered something, her expression went calmer. "My name is star. My friend Beetle found you, and said you would like me." I flapped my wings.
"Hello. My name is..." the stranger paused, as if she had forgotten her name. "Water." she nodded.
"It suits you." I noted, looking at her smoothe black skin and dark blue eyes. Her wings looked silver, and were feathery.
"Do you know where I am?" Water asked.
"Changlingville. Where are you from?"
"Um... I forgot. I like your skin. It's shiny."
"I'm not 'Star' for nothing!" I joked. She yawned and started eating the cereal I had put next to her bed. "Do you like it?" I asked.
"Yeah! It's delicious!" she replied with a mouthfull. I smiled again. RING RING RING! the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." Water got up and slowly walked towards the door, like she had never expirinced walking on hole-hooves. She's just tired. I assured myself, walking to the door with her.
"Hi, Star!" Beetle greeted me.
"Hey, Beetle. Rember Water?" I replied. Beetle nodded, his bug-like wings buzzing. His skin seemed deeper purple today. Well, whatever. Just a light-trick.
"Hi, Beetle!" Water smiled. "You found me, right?" she then asked. Beetle nodded. The holes on his hooves looked like they
around when he walked to my couch and sat down. Water followed him, sitting down on a chair. I sat down on the couch, next to Beetle.
"So... um... I gotta go. See you later!" Water stood up.
"Alright! Bye!" Beetle removed his wing from mine. I stood up and waved, my wings fanning to their whole extent, a white-ish fan. Water flapped her wings and soared away once she was outside. "She was a nice mare." Beetle thought aloud.
"Uh-huh." I replied, laying back down. "I wonder where she's going..." I asked myself. But I didn't answer myself. I couldn't.
Waterrusher POV[i/]
*It's a good thing I thought of a changling name! I thought as I soared through the air. I had always seen Changlings looking all the same when I was a pony, but now they looked different. Some had wings, some had horns, some both, some none. The brisk breeze rufffled my feathers.*
"Hi!" a shady black colt zoomed past me. *Wow! His wings look like they belong to a dolphin! I thought, comparing the shape. I kept flying unti lI saw a large sign.*
