All quiet on the Equestrian Front

by KarmaSentinal
A young griffon's experiences during the war that ended all wars.

The pony land, Equestria, is a thriving world power.

The Buffalo are still scattered. Their citizens nothing more than nomads traveling through countries on paths that once ran throughout their nation.

The Minotaurs, always wanting a good fight or brawl nearly abandoned their traditional home lands to the highlands of the west where dragons lay and settle. Their reason? Looking for the fight that could match the one from their history over a 1,000 years ago.

The Griffon borders are loosely protected by a few powerful clans. The interior is sacked and re-sacked by the hundreds of smaller griffon clans that make up the core of their population.

The Changelings are a despised and hated species around the world. Their kind being force to feed off scraps, stealing and using deception for their chance at survival. No hive is ever able to settle and build above ground else they'll draw the hunting parties to them.

The Zebras, once a military and trading power house of old became so disgusted by war gave up its ways to practice the art of spiritual atonement and the arts of saving lives.

All of them are connected in someway to one another whether they like it or not. A series of decisions and events that led to the biggest conflict the land, up to that point had( and will) ever see all because two sisters were unwilling to work with each other. A fight between two sisters that set fire to the world 1,000 years ago.

This is one young griffon's personal account during this turbulent and chaotic time. A time that would later became known as the Rise of Nightmare Moon and the Eternal Night.
