I like the rain. I'm always most comfortable when it's raining. It helps me think. I don't care for full on storms that fire lightning every which way with winds that start tornados. No, I like it to be a nice drizzle with minor winds and clouds that just barely block out the sun or moon.
Tonight, I'm in an old abandoned factory on the edge of some town. I have no idea where I am. I ran from 'home' about... 2 months ago? I'm not really sure anymore. I hated that place. My 'loving' family just adored 'loving' me, if you catch my drift. I am an only child and am 13 years of age as of today, not that it matters. My name is Noah Smith. I am hiding out at this factory from the cops. I tried to shoplift some food from a gas station and failed miserably. The cashier wasn't quite as stupid as he looked. I guess he saw the slight lump in my shirt, because when I reached the door he yelled, "Hey, kid!" I was caught off guard and tripped over my own feet, dropping snack foods everywhere. At least the guy didn't pull a gun on me or something, just said he was calling the cops. I ran as fast as my tired ass could take me. The only possessions I currently have are the clothes on my back and my thoughts. I think a lot with all the free time I have. I'm wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black hoodie over a red T-shirt.
The cop cars have their sirens blaring in the distance and are getting closer. I silently hope I don't get caught as I sit in the darkness surrounding me. Then it hit me. My head started feeling like it was about to explode. A wave of nausea comes to aid the painful headache inside my skull. Now holding my cranium in my hands, I double over in pain. My entire body starts to feel sore like I had been working out for hours. My vision blurs and the searing pain is getting worse by the second. Like anyone else would be, I'm horrified by the sudden feeling. Tears roll down my agony filled face. Thankfully, my body is becoming numb now. My arms fall to my sides and I can't seem to move them. The sore feeling turns into exhaustion and I feel tired. Being slightly off balance, I fall to my right and land sideways on the cement floor. I can't fight it as my eyes close against my will, taking me into cold, deep, and utter blackness.
My brain slowly becomes conscious and numbness is all I feel. Slowly, I manage to ease my eyes open to find a beautiful rainbow high in the sky. It looks solid and without flaw. I'm to weak to move so I am just left lay there staring tiredly at the sky in the aftermath of whatever had happened. My eyes lids grow heavy and exhaustion takes me as my eyes close once again.
This time, I wake feeling slightly better. No numbness and I can sort of move now, but I'm still very weak. I am sore to the very core of every cell in my body. Opening my eyes once again, the first thing I notice is the roof above me. I've never seen this unfamiliar roof in my life. I manage to get myself up in a sitting position with sheer willpower against every fiber of my being yelling at me not to move. The pain is bad, but bearable, and the horrible headache and nausea I'm having doesn't help any. The next thing I notice is the many animals in the room. All staring at me like I am some freak or something.
"Oh, your awake." came a soft voice.
This catches me off guard. I look to where the voice had come from and stare in shock, baffled at what I see. To my left is a yellow mini horse with wings that's standing next to the couch that I'm now sitting on. If it isn't weird enough, it has a pink mane and tail with a tattoo of three pink butterflies on its butt. I blink in confusion.
"You've been out cold for two days and I was worried mister... um... I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you are." It said.
"It talked." I think to myself. "It freaking talked!"
Being totally freaked out at this point, I look for an exit. There is a wooden door on the other side of the room. The problem is that this thing is blocking my escape. Cautiously, I stand slowly and back up toward the wall to get some distance between it and me. When I feel the wall behind me I side step repeatedly in the direction of the door.Every step I take causes pain to shoot threw me, but I don't show it. An uncountable number of sets of eyes watch me curiously with every step, one set belonging to the horse like thing. I keep an eye on it the entire time it takes me to get to the door. I stop at the exit and open it slightly. When it realizes what I am trying to do, it's to late. I'm out the door. I hear a faint "Oh my. Where are you going?" as I make a break for it. I go as fast as my sore legs can take me, which isn't very fast. I'm practically limping.
It's sunny out, with on clouds in the sky. I turn my head to see if the horse is following me. It was just walking along next to me. Surprised by this, I fall flat on my butt with a "GAAAAH".
"What the heck are you?!" I ask. "And why are you following me?"
"Oh, you talk like a normal pony." It said more to itself than me in a hushed tone.
"Of course I talk. I'm a human after all." I say with a face palm, which hurt like mad. I stand back up. "Now answer the ques..."
I was interrupted by another voice. "Look out Fluttershy!" It yelled.
I turn to catch a glimpse of a rainbow streak headed right for me at chest level. I let out a "DOOF" as the streak hit me square in the chest, instantly knocking me to the ground again. It also knocked the air out of me and the pain was multiplied by the soreness of my body. I think I hit my head on a rock because I black out... again.

Yes, a new story.
I'm an 8th grader that just turned 13 yesterday. Forgive me for being too lazy to finish editing my other story first. (EDIT: The story in question is no longer up.)
I don't think I was out for long because I ONCE AGAIN awake. This time, on the ground where I was knocked over. The pain in my chest was immense. I crossed my arms over my chest and started rolling on the ground with a loud *GROAN*.
"Oh, god that hurt! Was I hit by a train?!" I asked no one in general.
"See, he's fine Fluttershy." came a voice. I turn my head to find another horse with wings. This one was a cyan color with a mane and tail that were the colors of a rainbow. The sudden barrage of pigment caught me by surprise as I sit there, staring in bewilderment. They both gasp as my face is turned toward them. "Yeesh! Maybe he isn't as fine as I thought." the new one said.
This is when I start to feel something warm run down from my forehead to my left cheek. I reach up with a hand and touch my cranium with a slight hiss as I bring the hand into my view. "That's not good." I state bluntly at the sight of the crimson blood on my hand. I turn in my seat to find what caused the now bleeding gash. I spot a rock the size of my fist with a red tint from my blood. "Ouch." I'm starting to notice a pattern. I keep getting knocked out and wake up in a lot of pain. "Deja vu."
"What is?" the blue one asked.
"Nothing." I reply. I think Crayola is getting sued for playing such a cruel joke.
As crazy as it sounds, I think I'm somewhat over the fact that there are two randomly colored pegasi that can talk in front of me. It's probably the head injury though, so it might not necessarily be a good thing. I think I'm going crazy.
"I think I'm done here." I said wanting more than anything to get out of here. "Is there a town nearby?"
"Yeah, back the way I came from. Why, are you leaving already?" said the rainbow haired one with a curious tilt of it's head. The yellow one has been hiding behind its friend the whole time and apparently didn't feel like speaking up. Not that I care, It may help keep some of what sanity is left in tact to only talk to one at a time.
"Why? Why do you think? To keep my sanity in tact! Plus, I'm tired of getting K.O.'d." I snapped a response.
With a sheepish smile, "Yeah... um... sorry about that. I though you were going to hurt Fluttershy." it said. "She told me what happened while you were out cold." This brought a slight twitch of irritation to the eye on the same side of my face that the gash was on.
"Fluttershy? Oh, her." I said, looking at the cowering pegasus while trying to hide the irritation. "What's her deal?"
"She's kind of shy."
"Really should have seen that coming." I think to yours truly.
"I'm out, bye." I say as I stand up and start heading toward where the equine said there was a town.

I started this a few hours after the message on the news board on my page. I feel kinda dumb for it, but what can you do? I mostly did this because I was in a good mood because of this person and story by them.
I know this chapter's kind of short, but oh well. I think there are plenty of other, more great, stories you can read. Check out the one above.
(Just a joke.)Chapter 3: Just for you Zuperflash
I promptly walked about two feet before the pain in my head was too much to handle, and collapsed. "Damn."

Yes, I was serious. Just felt like being a smart-alick. No more stupid crap like this though. I will make serious and normal (as normal as I can get) chapters from now on. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! There, no one can break a pinkie promise and get away with it. (especially after the TD incident *shivers*) After all, breaking a promise is the quickest way to lose friends.
WHAT THE HELL?! I think I just heard someone yell 'FOREVER' in the distance, which is strange considering I'm in the basement...
