//-------------------------------------------------------// Pony high -by Trixie-Lulamoon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Ponyville high has experienced a recent unusual, however not terrible, occurrence. An decision made by the Equestrian board of education has deemed that students from all over the country must start to attend at the school for the new year. These students come from all over Trottingham, Cloudsdale, even the great capital of Cantorlot has not gone unaffected by this new choice. This has been approved by the princess herself. ~~~ A new school and a new start. This is finally the chance that one pony has been dieing for. The school in Cantorlot may have had better courses for a unicorn, but this one has fresh faces and the chance to have a social life. It's time to build back some self-esteem and make some real friends. This adventure was surely going to be full of the things dreams were made of. Moving was a bit of a hassle, but it will soon be all too worth it for Twilight Sparkle. ~~~ Why the Tartarus was this change enforced? Things were just getting good over in Trottingham. There was far better classes for real future there. It really isn't fare that the government forced Trixie Lulamoon and her mother to move just because there was a mistake with grading. The worst part was the this was an earth pony school. There probably isn't even one class available on basic spells, let alone something to base a collage transcript on. ~~~ Same school, new faces. Surely with all the new students there will have to be somepony that has some sense of style. It would have been nice to get transferred away from here rather then others get transferred here, but that doesn't mean they aren't any less welcome. Their dress style and personality will decide that. Some might have reservations, but Rarity Belle will remain unbiased, until it can be better decided. ~~~ A new school, and a new place to live. Manehattan is a nice place to live, but Lighting Dust was going about things all wrong there. There she had to be as athletic as she could be, but here she could do what she really wanted. She still had to play hoofball, but what she did after was only her business and her business alone. Maybe she could take up a few extra curricular activities. This was going to be a good year, with any luck. ~~~ A new school. How much more lame could this get? Thank the princess that Rainbow Dash didn't have to move as well. The thought of being taken away from Cloudsdale and all of her friends was just going way too far. The hoofball team better be good. It was already obvious that she was going to be captain, but she didn't want to have to carry the team. She couldn't believe that some actually signed up for this. ~~~ A pony school? Gods that sounds dumb. Stupid ponies, no fighting classes, a new culture, and the that doesn't even start to explain the language they have. It's like the griffon tongue, but everything is backwards and there are words that you aren't allowed to say, and the words that just seem to be sight up raciest to anything but a pony. Clearly the griffon that was given the name Gilda was not pleased with the idea of a new school. ~~~ And so begins the adventure of six perfect strangers. Some happy, some annoyed beyond understanding. How will they fair as their daily lives are about to be changed dramatically? Only time will tell. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ep.1: First day //-------------------------------------------------------// Ep.1: First day The first day of school of Ponyville high school. An important day of an important school. Right not the students were lining up out front of ready to go. But of curse the students weren't the only ones that went to their. What would a school be if there wasn't any facility members, and none were more important then the head honcho herself, Principal Sunshine. She looked out at the front walk see the excited students rearing to start. It was magnificent to the principal that loved her joke more then an anthing else in the... "Sunshine. There are some students here that have been sent to see you." Spoke the intercom on her desk. She looked back with wide eyes in shock. Surely that couldn't have been right. She pressed her hoof on the intercom to talk and clear up this obvious misunderstanding. "I'm sure that they don't need to see me." She said with a hopeful tone. "I handle discipline. It isn't possible for somepony to get in trouble before I make the morning announcements... Right?" She asked herself as much as she asked the secretary. She lifted her hoof off of the button, hopping that she was right. "I'm afraid that that isn't true, Miss Shine." The intercom spoke back, drawing a frown on the Earth pony's face. "I have two filly's here. A Miss Twilight Sparkle and Miss Rainbow Dash." The principal slumped in her chair depressed. "Aright send them in." She signed. This wasn't how she expected the first day to go. Normally no one messes up until after a week, at least. Then again this wasn't a normal school year. This year her school carried a huge honor. It was time to get to work. She sat up, straightened her bow-tie and glasses, and prepared for the part of her job she never enjoyed. Just as she did, two young fillies walk in. The first was cyan pegasus, with short rainbow mane and tail that was styled in a way that she thought was "cool". Really it looked like she didn't do anything, but undoubtedly she had spent an hour getting it ready in the morning. The second was a nearly entirely purple unicorn. Her hair style appeared to take a turn for the worst very recently as she was drenched in water. Sunshine could only raise an eyebrow as to what she was seeing. Fortunately the ten year principal was prepared for almost anything. She pulled out a bottom drawer of her desk and took out a towel, tossing it to the soaked filly. She gave a smile as she caught it in her magic. "Alright. Take a seat and please explain what in Sand Hill happened." The rainbow pegasus, who was clearly Rainbow Dash judging by her mane, jumped to get her side of the story out. "What happened is that she doesn't know how to take a joke!" "What joke? You bucked a rain cloud right over my head, and ruined my notebooks!" Retorted the soaked unicorn, drying her mane as she did. "That goodness I put a protection spell on the novel I have. The library would have took my card." "Oh no!" Mocked Rainbow, "Not the egghead's library card!" "Settle down. Both of you." Warned the only voice that carried authority in the room. "Now. Let's see if I get this. You, miss Dash? You intentionally made a cloud rain on your fellow student here, right?" "Yeah, but..." "No buts." Said the principal, cutting off Rainbow. "Buts imply excuses. Just explain to me why." Rainbow 's face twisted to a pained look, stumbling to find words to say. "I-I... Uh..." The principal looked over her glasses and crossed her front hooves. It really didn't matter about Rainbow's answer, the important part was to make her sweat. Being stared down by the principal for one minute was far more memorable then a detention for half an hour. "I thought that it would be funny, and it was, until now." A sigh resonated from Sunshine, she ran a hoof though her thick curly brown mane as she thought of what to do. "I'm going to easy on you this time, considering that I don't want to have to write you up on the first day. But keep in mind that I won't be so lenient the second time around. Now, go back to class." She ordered in a firm voice that made even Twilight a little uneasy. Both of the fillies stood up to leave, but Sunshine motioned for Twilight to stay, while Rainbow got out as fast as she could. "I'm sorry for this miss Sparkle. I haven't seen her around here before so I'm guessing that she was transferred just as you were. I'm sure that the transition was hard on her." Twilight was drying her tail while she talked. "It's alright. If she is the only problem today, then I think this will be my best first day since grade school." She levitated the towel, now done with it, back to the principal "Thank you, Ms?" "Miss Sunshine." There was a silence for a moment. It was concerning what Twilight had said, and Miss Sunshine was looking for the right words to say next. "Do you want to talk about anything?" Twilight shook her head and kept her mouth shut. She shouldn't have said anything. Sunshine gave a small frown. There was lots of fillies that would just love to open up and explain all of there problems at length, but they never had real issues. To Sunshine's best knowledge, it was always the ones that didn't talk that had it the worst. "Alright, I'm not going to make you, but I have a rule with my door. If it's open, which it almost always is," She pointed to the currently closed door in the room that lead to the hallway. "That is my invite for anypony that has a problem to see me." Twilight shook her head i understanding, she smiled while looking at the floor with half-lidded eyes. Sunshine knew that she wouldn't take up that offer just by looking at her. "Anyway, you said that you need notebooks." She walked over to the filing cabinet adjacent her desk and opened the bottom door. "Here your going to need three, I think. Tenth graders normally need three. One for maths, one history, and one for passing notes and doodling." Sunshine isolated three in the cabinet , but before she could reach down for them a pinkish magic aura pulled them out and pulled them to Twilight. She had a real smile now, but still the sad looking eyes. "Thank you Miss Sunshine." Was all she said. "Your a special student Twilight. Your last principal and teachers had nothing but good things to say about you in your file." Miss Sunshine took her seat again. "Straight A model student, chess and debate team captain, already reading at a twelfth grade level in middle school, and out of all the students that are coming here this year you were the only one that could have "opted out" but didn't." Twilight started to shift in her seat. Sunshine knew it was time to let her go. "You are dismissed Miss Sparkle. Have a nice day." Twilight rose quick, but walked to the door slowly, trying not to seem to be in a rush. "Thank you Miss Sunshine." She said leaving though the door to the main office. That left Sunshine alone again, but not as free spirited as she had been. There was something with Twilight. looking at the clock, she made a mental note for later. Right now she had other things. She went and opened her hallway door. "Three, Two, One. Hello Rarity." And right on cue a white unicorn walked in and sat in one of the two chairs in front of the principal's desk. "Good morning, Miss sunshine. Another great year as always, I can feel it already." Rarity's genuinely happy mood was normally a refreshing breeze, but it missed it's place today. "I can hardly believe that we are going to have new students from all over this year. It's so exciting!" "Yes. Yes it is." Sunshine was distracted and it showed. She closed the door and sat back in her seat. "So, what brings you here this time?" She would have said today instead of this time, but that would imply that this is going to be the only time Rarity shows up today. Just as she sat, several papers flashed to the desk via Rarity's hoof. "The new cheerleader uniforms!" She sang out, beginning to point out the drawings on the papers. "Now, I was thinking of a sweater with the cutest design pattern of the schools colors with a medium cute skirt with a kind of boa like material..." At that exact point Sunshine lost focus. Rarity loved to go on and on about things that didn't evolve the principal. Not that it wasn't nice for Rarity to do that, but sometimes Sunshine wished that she was left out of the loop for a change. To pass the time Sunshine went about thinking of what to do about Rainbow Dash. Clearly she was a trouble maker, but the transfer might have made her more agitated then normal. Maybe if she was informed of the open door... Rarity wasn't talking. She was looking as if waiting for an answer. "Run that by me again." Without missing a beat the unicorn spoke with no less spirit. "I asked you about what you think of my uniform drawings." Rarity was too easy to talk to. "Dear, as long as you stay within the budget I'm fine with it. You've made these uniforms since you could wear them, and they have always been great. You have my full confidance and from what I hear your already in the running for cheerleader caption. Just keep in mind that we might have some pegasi join, they will need a place for their wings."
