My Little Pony Family Is Love
MLP FIL Chapter 1 part 1
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThundering hooves seemed to almost drown out the thunder as a unicorn filly zigzagged through the tangled unforgiving forest. Her long light blue, yellow striped hair stuck to her pastel pink coat, coated with mud and sweat. Her wild purple eyes kept looking in front of her, and then back, and then in front. Her breath hitched and grew shallower and heavier as her movements grew slower and slower, and then she tripped. In a flurry of movement the unicorn tumbled down a hill and landed with a thud. Heavy breaths and shaking hooves, she struggled to stand. As she turned to look as saw a manticore hammer down the hill, eyes wild and claws bared. The filly’s eyes widened as the cold, unforgiving, horrible truth destroyed her very soul and her hope. She was going to die, she was going to die a horrible, bloody, painful death. She had used all her energy, she was out alone in the woods and no one could save her. She was a goner, as the manticore raised its paw and struck down.
Blood covered the ground like a red reminder of death. The manticore was gone, apparently a filly was meant to die bleeding. The unicorn lay there ripped and bloody, the light her in her eyes faded as the blood pooled around her more and more. ‘Why aren’t I dead?’ she thought, ‘I should be dead, Ive been ripped apart and yet Im still breathing. Just let me die. I don`t want to be in pain anymore!’ then something flashed in her mind.
Large waves of blood, stormy skies.
Rocks and pools of blood and guts.
White tiles splattered with blood.
Rapid waves.
A speeding train.
Forest greens and rocks.
Sandy ruins.
They all sprinted through her mind as she felt numb and then.
She heard the chirps of birds. As she opened her eyes weakly sunlight stung her eyes.
“What…?” she mumbled, as she shakily stood up, the ground around her was covered in flowers and grass, she was in what seemed to be a meadow. “What… happened?” she looked around, no blood. Was, was she dead? The unicorn lifted a hoof up, and slapped herself in the face.
“OW!” she yelped, nope, she wasn’t dead. Then, what happened, she was in one piece, what where those images, why was she alive, where was she? Questions ran through her head, making it spin. “Nugh… t-too many questions, I’m so confused! I want to go home!” she whined.
“Hey! Are you ok?” the filly turned around to find a young colt standing next to her, looking worried. He had pure snow white hair, a coat to match and bright red eyes. “Well?” He pried. “Are you?”
“U-uh… I think so…” She answered.
“I heard screaming in the forest over there.” The albino colt pointed to a forest just in eyesight. “I went on my way to look and I got here just now and now I see you! You look kinda roughed up! What happened?” the white colt bombarded her with questions.
“a-ah, Im fine. I… I really dont want to talk about it.” The filly mumbled.
“Oh… Ok then! Well I` m Specialty! Who are you?” he asked.
“O-oh. Im…. Im Star Shower, but you can call me Star…” she murmured quietly.
“That`s a really pretty name!” Specialty said, smiling happily. “Where do you live Star? We should get you home!”
“A-ah I live in… Canterlot….” Star Shower answered faintly.
“Oh cool! I live there too! Come on! I`ll take you home!” the young colt said, patting Star Shower on the back. “Come on!” he started walking off, slowly, so that the filly could follow. Star scrambled to follow Specialty in a frenzied fear of being alone again. Suddenly Specialty took in a dig deep breath.

“Because silly! Singing makes things go by faster! I mean look, we`re already at your house!”
“WHAT?!”
Night had just slipped into the sky as the two foals stood at Star Showers doorstep. Star looked at Specialty, then at the door, then at Specialty.
“Wha-? How? Did you?” Stars questions flooded out of her mouth.
“Well, I`ll see you later Star! Bye!” Specialty said, waving enthusiastically as he ran off. After Star watched him go, she sighed deeply and went to open the door.
As the morning sun lazily sat in the middle of the sky, Star was losing her mind from boredom. Her parents,-Grapeberry Shower and Meteor Shower- had grounded her for going into the forest and being gone for so long. Star had not told them about the manticore. As she lay on her bed, bored out of her mind, she heard a knock at the door down stairs.
“Star Shower come down here! Someone`s hear to see you!” The voice of her mother pierced Stars ears.
“Coming!” She answered, as she jumped on her bed, out of her room and down the stairs. When she got to the door, as her parents looked at her, bored and angry. The filly was shocked to see two young colts, standing at the door.
One was Specialty, who had a happy warm yet somewhat uncertain smile plastered on her face, the other was a white coated colt with blue eyes and messy un-kept red hair. The unnamed colt had a shy half smile on his face. Both had saddle bags, the red manned colt kept looking back at the bags uneasily.
“Hello misses and mister Shower!” Specialty said, Star cringed as her parents looked at the colt with disgust- no doubt because of the color of his mane and coat-. “I`m Specialty, and this-” Specialty said pointing to the other colt. “Is my friend, Ink Brush!”
“I-ink Brush? Y-you mean the son of the famous designer Elegant brush?” Stars mother, Meteor Shower squawked. “Star Shower dear, go on and play with them? Ok?” Stars father –Grapeberry Shower- said with a sickening sweetness.
