"Somehow we can't, sir." the guard said a bit grimly.

He slowed his pace for his half-asleep captain to catch up. Shining Armor then had a moment to regain his thoughts as he muttered out a question.

"Anything else?"

"Well," the guard began, pausing a bit before he answered very cautiously. "Th-this thing is saying something about..."

"Saying about what?" Shining Armor asked as he yawned.

Shining Armor stopped in mid-yawn, his eyes widening in shock. His sleepy eyes soon turned to fury of concern. It slowly turned into rage. He stormed down the hall, with the guard following him quickly behind him. Another set of bangs echoed the halls, somehow fueling his anger.

A large three bangs and a large crack of splintering wood was heard.

Shining Armor gritted his teeth with the guard beside him looking nervously around him. Getting close to the main door, a muffled prideful voice broke through as the banging ended.

"Let me in, I must see Lady Cadance!!"

Shining Armor grumbled. “I need my armor,” he said, galloping away to the armory. “Hold him back!”

“But captain!” one guard said, the assailant was just about to break through.

A fist suddenly smashed through, an iron fist trembling with power. “Allow me to see Lady Cadence!” The intruder’s voice yelled. The fist retracted before it punched again, going through the weak food and socking a guard in the face.

Shining Armor arrived, dressed up for battle. His captain’s helm in royal purple assembled his soldiers and bestowed a sense of morale.

The guards nodded at each other and sprinted away from the door in unison. The giant wooden door shattered into pulp and blew off the crystal hinges. Smoke littered at the doors and an odd humanoid figure stood in the midst of the debris. What stood at the door was a bipedal creature in beautiful white armor. With two hands at its side, one hand held a sharp white sword pointed out with a shield in the other. The creature's masked face, his helm studied the room and the soldiers. Then he faced the captain of the guard due to his different armor.

"I demand to see Lady Cadence!" the thing said, looking directly at Shining Armor. The captain grabbed a sharp spear. "Why do you want to see her?" Shining Armor asked, pointing his weapon as the intruder. "Why do you want to see my wife?!"

"I have pledged allegiance and complete loyalty to her, miserable whelp!" the armored creature said, his shield pointed towards him. "Have at you!"
