Rezimus watched the battlefield with utter contempt. Neither side had gained any ground since the battle begun. Swarms of flesh-eating parasprites came from the enemy swarmlords. A tornado struck within Armageddon's forces, Nifius was doing his job. The boy was his high priest, although he was very young compared to Armageddon's priest Dahrokar.
Swordsponies were locked in combat. Boulders were flung at Rezimus's soldiers from enemy earthromancers. Enemy troops riding large reptilian beast charged only to be struck down by a barrage of arrows. Dahrokar was unleashing meteor upon meteor to break Rezimus's lines. However, most were blocked by shield spells cast by scholars. A black dragon emerged from the sky. This was his brother's familiar, Encio.

The dragon was decimating Rezimus's infantry. He called out with his mind, and his call was received. Six phoenixes emerged from the beyond and collided in the wake of the sun. They formed the Sunbird, familiar of Rezimus. The dragon and phoenix battled midair in the midst of all of the pegasi locked in combat around them. Sunbird had a massive advantage, he could split into the six individual phoenixes as a method of dodging. The battle was still fierce in every way imaginable.
The battle went on for hours and would've went on longer, but something had interrupted the clash. The two generals had both stopped telepathically issuing commands. Why? Both of them had taken notice of something, the sky had begun to turn purple.
Sunbird split into it's individual pieces as it flew back to Rezimus. Two nested on his shoulders, the other 4 behind him. He saw an orange alicorn flying towards him. "Hold your fire." he ordered to his archers. "Brother" he said with a nod. "I've seen things in the Ruby Alicorn." Armageddon replied, "I see your white coat is as fashionable as ever.". "Focus." Rezimus firmly stated "What have you seen?".
"Our mother, she's been put under a loyalty spell. The world around us conquered by a dark queen"
" How could this go unnoticed by us until now?"
" We were ignorant, obsessed with war."
Rezimus thought for a moment. "Nifius, go to Moonport. Tell them to ready as many ships as they can spare. In a week, we sail for Equestria."
"Dahrokar, do the same at Echo City." Armageddon told his high priest. " We were friends once, can we be that again, even for only a while, to save our mother, and our world." The brothers shook hooves and flew to their capitols to round up every soldier they could muster.
The week of preparation passed too quickly. It was mainly gathering up enough crop and volunteers to pull off the assault. Hundreds of weapons needed to be crafted and sharpened. Metric tons of food and water were loaded onto ships. Plus a pint or two for victory celebrations. When the week had passed, Both armies boarded their ships and departed to meet the other fleet halfway to join as one army to overthrow the Dark Queen.
