Rainbow dash.

The sun was falling when me and Dash arrived. After 3 suttle knocks the door opened revealing a yellow pony with a long curly pink mane. We made eye contact.

"Hiya," I said with a polite smile. Her eyes got huge. She slammed the door shut making a loud smahing sound.

"Did..did i say something?" i asked while turned to dash. The door creaked open.I could see a glimps of that pink mane again, along with a concerned eye.

"Hi.." i heard from behind the door.

"My names Cosmos," i said, trying to be courteus,"what's yours?"

"Um..Fluttershy.."

"I'm sorry I misheard you," I replied. She started to repeat herself but then her eyes fell to my blank flank.

"Y-you..don't have a cutie mark." Fluttershy spoke up.

"Oh uh yah, I never got one." I responded. Both ponies stared at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Well," Dash spoke up," Iv'e never heard of anybody your age without a cutie mark."

"Well why didn't you say anything earlier?" I asked.

"I thought you got it dyed or somthin'?" Dash asked.

"Didn't you ever..you know..get teased?" Fluttershy finally said clearly.

"Yes I've recieved some teasing in the past, but i never really cared." Fluttershy opened up the door a little more.

"So..why have you never got one?" Flutter asked.

"I guess i never found my special something," I replied.

"Well sorry to do this Dash but i need to go. The sun is almost set and I need to tend to my animals," Fluttershy explained.

"Well..ok it's fine. C'mon Cozzy," Dash said while walking away," see ya Fluttershy."

I said bye to fluttershy and caught up with Dash who was a few steps ahead.

"Well..its almost night time.." Rainbow said.

"Yep,"i replied," might as well head on home."

"Yeah.."

I turned and started to walk towards my house. After about six or seven steps i heard,"Wait. Hey Cosmos?"

I turned.

"Yea-" My word was interupted by two soft lips pushed against mine.

She was warm. I could feel the warmth of her feelings for me wash over my body. She smelled amazing. Lavender overwelmed my scences. I closed my eyes and tried to savor this moment. Our lips finally broke apart with a string of saliva attatched to both our bottom lips. When i opened my eyes the sun had gone down. The only light in the sky now was the bright white creseant moon.

"Cosmos.." Rainbow whispered. Her slightly closed eyes became open in shock.

"Cosmos!? W-what happened to your mane? And your hide Changed color too?!"

I then explained to her that when I was born, I came out sleeping with a white and dark blue fur. They thought i was still born. But when the doctor examined closer i was breathing and functioning normally. After a week of further tests the doctors found out i had a fatal heart condition very uncommon for newborns. When all hope from my mother and father were lost, they got a letter from Princess Celestia. Days later the princess arrived and ordered all ponies to evacuate the hospital room where my mother lay with me in her arms. The princess lowered her head and pointed her horn to my forehead. She uttered words my mother could never remember. Then, a lone spark emitted from her horn, finding it's way to my little colt body. My mother had said that in that instant my hide turned as yellow as sun burning in her heart for me. And that my hair changed to an orange only representing the flames that burn from said sun. Celestia whispered things to my mother that i never heard.

"To this night," i finished,"Iv'e always wondered what words she had said...And now when the sun goes down, I revert back to my original colors until the sun shines it's rays once again." There was a long pause. I stepped away and looked up to the moon.
