After a strange event at Canterlot Castle, Twilight learns what it really means to be an alicorn, and where they came from.
Wanting to learn more about being a princess, Twilight stays in Canterlot with Celestia and Luna. One night, a strange event takes place and Twilight learns that the world is far different from what she thought. Powerful creatures, strange magic, and the pain of the past await Twilight as she discovers why alicorns exist and what she is destined to do.
