The Search
Canterlot Castle had a dark ambient. Not a single soul had been in sight ever since she had seen the dark figure. It was as if Equestia had stopped in its tracks.
Confused while concerned, Twilight had searched for hours to find no trace of the Princess. And as of now, Twilight had just wanted to give up.
But she couldn't. Twilight is loyal to the Princess and will do anything for her-
-she knew she'd do anything for Twilight.
Then she found her. There she lie motionless. Twilight tried to run over to Celestia, but was stopped.
The Figure.
It came running towards Twilight, but strangely slowly fading away as it got closer. She got a look at the figure before it disappeared.
Luna.
And as soon as she knew it, the dark and shadowy figure was gone. All that remained was Twilight and the body of the Princess. Twilight quickly ran over to Celestia.
Princess Celestia was dead.
The Mane 6 gathered over her grave.
Rainbow Dash put her hand on Twilight's shoulder.
"I'm Sorry"
They left Twilight alone.
With Luna nowhere to be seen ever since, and Celestia dead, there was nobody to raise the sun.
As the last sense of light touched the ground, Twilight had sat over her grave.
Her eyes closed – full of tears – tilted to the ground.
“I’m sorry I failed you, princess. If only I could have done something different”
As the last of light fell over the mountains, Twilight remembered all the times she had succeeded.
She knew that it wasn't for nothing.
She sat still, knowing of one thing.
And what she knew;
Was that this was the final sunset.
The Letter
The sun rises, the sun sets.
Every day has seemed the same across Equestria for Thousands of years.
But one day the sun had set, and never arose.
This was just any other average morning for Twilight. She woke up, ate some oats, and did some studying. But something quickly changed that:
While she was studying, she got an unexpected letter from the princess. It read:
"Come to Canterlot immediately. There has been some trouble and I need you."
Shocked, Twilight quickly grabbed her things and hurried over to the castle. Upon arrival, she found nopony in sight. All but the presence of the whirl of the wind. Upon entering, she found everything destroyed. The guards unconscious, and the glass broken.
Quickly searching for any signs of the princess, she see's a dark figure at the end of the hallway-
"Hey!"
The shadow-like figure quickly ran off.
Twilight's instinct had made her chase after the dim shadow. When reaching the end of the hall, Twilight had found no sight of the character. Which made her wonder why it was here, or even what it was.
She continued to search for Celestia, as she had not seen her around anywhere.
Princess Celestia was Gone.
