This is War

It was a beautiful morning in Canterlot. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were sitting on their respective thrones, signing papers. It was a relatively normal morning, wake up, morning routines, sign papers, nothing much. The morning heat was beating through the throne room windows. The pegasi hadn’t gotten up to add a small layer of clouds to decrease the heat yet, but the abnormal heat felt nice. The princess of the night walked towards the windows, looking towards the kingdom that she ruled alongside her sister.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” said the solar princess.
“Yes, but something troubles me. It doesn’t feel right.” The princess said with distress in her voice.
“I know how you feel. Something troubles me to. It looks normal, but just doesn’t feel the same, as if troubling news is coming.”
As if what the princess said was a cue, a unicorn guard came running through the doors of the room, a look of distress on his face. With his magic, the unicorn was holding a letter. He nearly crashed into the sisters when they noticed him.
“Your majesty, a letter has arrived.” The guard said in-between pants.
The princess read the letter silently.
Your ‘majesty’, you will step down from your throne and give Equestria to us, or we will wage war against you. This is your only warning. If you fail to abide to our demands, we will start with the Crystal Empire, first eliminating Shining Armor, causing you student Twilight Sparkle unable to use her element of harmony. From there, we will head south, destroying Cloudsdale, Removing all weather creation. Then, we will travel to Canterlot. We will spare you and your sister so you can watch your subjects die. You will be our prisoners of war, and we will burn every town and city we come by, and you will be forced to watch. Equestria will burn.
“Summon Princess Cadence and Shining armor and tell them to bring as many crystal ponies as possible. Make sure they bring all of their guard. We will need them. Equestria will not fall, as long as my sister and I remain in control.”
“At once, your majesty.” The unicorn galloped out of the throne room, into the corridor. The doors shut from a royal blue alicorn’s magic.
“Sister, what’s wrong? Shall we alert the guard? Prepare for battle?” The alicorn was worried. Their sister did not use that tone of voice unless something was urgent.
“No. We need twilight and her friends. They must be informed about the crisis. They are the bearers of the elements, and they can use them as a last resort. We won’t give our thrones to these ponys who want to rule Equestria. Canterlot won’t fall. Nor will Cloudsdale or the Crystal Empire. Well come at these ponys full force. And if do anything to hurt my daughter, they will regret it so. Solar Flare still lives in me much like Nightmare Moon still lives in you. And they know the power that Twilight holds.” Fear and anger was held in the voice of the ruler.
“You don’t plan on using Solar Flare, right?” fear flooded the alicorn’s voice.
“No, but you know I can’t control her. Solar Flare and Nightmare Moon are sisters of evil. They are the opposites of us, and can’t be tamed.” The words were uttered with confidence and fear mixed into one.
“We should plan for battle. We will not surrender our thrones, no matter what the ransom. I’ll get the guard at once.” The royal blue alicorn ran through the castle’s halls with no hesitation.
Dear Twilight Sparkle
I need you and your friends here in Canterlot immediately. We have a pressing mater on our hooves and we need the elements.
Princess Celestia
The letter was sent in a puff of smoke. The Princess walked to the windows of the room. Please come as soon as possible Twilight. I need you. Equestria needs you.

Six ponies crashed through the doors of the throne room, two of them flying at near equal speeds. The lavender alicorn was taller than all the other five ponies, and was being calmed by the cyan Pegasus that was flying with her. “Mom, I got your letter and you said you needed us and what is the problem because we can help and if you don’t tell us than how can we help and also Apple Jack brought her sister and her friends incase they could help and we need to know if we can send them back home and” the cyan mare next to her shoved her hoof into the lavender alicorn’s mouth to stop her rambling.
“Twilight, Equestria has been threatened with war. I called you and your friends here because you are very strong, and you can protect Equestria. Go to the black smith. He has made you all a set of armor for this purpose. Now go. And for Apple Blooms friends, they have some armor to. I planed ahead for that.” A smug grin flashed across the white alicorn’s face

“Rainbow, you know I love you, but you can’t come. You’re carrying our foal. You need to stay in the castle where it’s safe.” The lavender mare was slipping on her perfectly fitted armor. “And besides, I would hate for you to die in battle. I cant live with that pain.”
“Twilight, I’m coming. You can’t stop me. I may be carrying our foal, but that cant stop me from fighting. You saw me do that sonic rainboom no sweat a week ago, and I’m five months pregnant. Nothing can stop me.”
A voice chimed in to the conversation. “Wait, Rainbow, your saying that I’m going to have a sibling? An actual sibling? This is the best news EVER! Is it a colt, or a filly? Do you even know? Is it an alicorn? A Pegasus? Tell me tell me tell me!”
“Scootalo, we don’t know yet. And anyways, you’d have to wait for those answers”
A boom echoed through ought the castle. The room fell silent.
