Where the Hoof Is all my Books?
What the Hay?
Load Full StoryIt was a normal day in the bright and cheery Ponyville. The sun was shining, ponies were gleefully socializing. Applejack was tending to her apples as usual. Rainbow Dash was doing loops and tons of other stunts. Rarity was immersed in her dress making, while Sweetie Bell, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo were distracting as they always are. Fluttershy tended to all her little friends. But Pinkie Pie seemed under the weather, which was uncommon. She hadn't had one of her beloved parties in a while, everypony was busy doing something. But what was Pinkie to do without a friend? No pony was too worried about it, they knew it only gets bad when her best friends are sacks of flour.
And of course Twilight. She was was trying to get her flying down, so she found the longest book that she could on the subject, and refused to go anywhere until she finished it. But keeping such concentration was hard. Spike was being incredibly loud, which kept on making Twilight lose her place.
"Spike!" she said with her head hidden under her beds covers. "I'll never become a good princess if I can't fly!" she exclaimed, finding her place again. Spike didn't reply, so Twilight assumed he got the message. "Okay, so all there is to it is too flap," she said to herself in context to the book.
"WOAH!" Spike's voice exclaimed making Twilight jump, sending her blanket flying off to the side.
"SPIKE!" she exclaimed, frustrated. "How many times do i have to tell you to be quiet or go do something? I....WOAH!" she screamed as she gaped at all her empty shelves. Every single book was gone, not a single page anywhere in her once filled selection of books. She took a look back and noticed that the book she had been reading for the past few hours had also disappeared! Her mouth was open wide, how could anything possibly do something like this in only a few hours? But Twilight managed to regain her composure."Don't worry Spike, all we have to do is investigate, now first is look through my books to find a possible culprit," she said feeling proud she could formulate a plan so fast.
"Um, Twilight, the books are gone."
"Oh, well then let's go look for a culprit I guess," she said uncertainly, brainstorming."Ugh." So they went outside, and asked everypony they could think of.
"Eee-nope, sorry."
"No, but, what if we found them girls? We could be the cutie mark finders or something!"
Soon they asked everypony they knew. Except one.
"Pinkie Pie!" Twilight called, waving her hoof.
Pinkie deeply inhaled, seeming too pop from the dark mood she was in. "Twilight, do you want to party?" she sqeed, sounding like she would be crushed if Twilight didn't want to party.
"Oh sorry Pinkie but i'm busy right now maybe later," she said, causing Pinkie to hoof the ground again. "Have you seen anypony with an excessive amount of books?" Twilight hopefully asked
"No," Pinkie simply answered trotting off, practically dragging her head. Then she picked up her head a little."Oh wait, maybe I did see something...,"
"What?" Twilight asked.
"I saw Gilda carrying an abnormally large bag."
