Red, a unicorn born and raised in Ponyville, has more to his future than anypony could've imagined. His very life is linked to evil so old, so buried, that all of Equestria has forgotten its terrible reign, and it's dark ruler. As soon as he is birthed into the world, the evil begins its return for the sole purpose of destroying pony kind.
