Las Pegasus, a city of the wealthy, a city of the happy, a city of deceit, a city of lies, a city of horror. Las Pegasus has been called many things in the past few months the later more than the former. What caused the once great city to be called such things you might ask? It all started when a certain snobby prince from Canterlot came to live in the city...

"No no please you don't understa-"

"Shut it."

"Please don't tell him!"

"Tell him? He already knows."

"WHAT!?"

"And guess who's here to see ya?"

Before anymore words could be uttered the large bulky stallion that had been standing outside the hotel room burst through the door and grabbed the smaller scared stallion by his shoulders before tossing him out the door and onto the hallway floor with a thud. It was late at night, midnight to be exact and because of the poor revenue that the hotel made all of the lights in the hallway were either broken or turned off to save money, the only light in the corridor was from a lone window behind the stallion on the floor, only serving to intensify his fear.

*Clink*

The frightened red stallion on the floor looked up into the darkness towards the source of the noise and saw a small flame illuminating the dark space. He watched with chocked breath as the flame moved towards what appeared to be a southern Equestrian cigar which was placed inside an all too familiar mouth.

The flame hovered under the tip of the cigar for a moment before it lit up. The figure in the darkness flipped the lid of the lighter shut and stood in silence for a few moments, looking at the quivering stallion before speaking, "Pick him up."

The large brown stallion bent down and grabbed the red stallion by his shoulders before he hefted him onto his hooves and let him go. The red stallion, still lightly shaking, decided that if he had any hopes of getting out of this he had to start talking.

"Mr. Blueblood, sir, I swear I didn't mean to do it." The red stallion spoke as he slightly backed up only to bump into the bulky stallion from before. Blueblood slowly emerged from the darkness with a rather displeased look upon his face, "Do what? steal my money, Hotshot?"

Hotshot gulped before giving a little nod. Blueblood's displeasure only seemed to rise at this, "Then you had better start talking and tell me why."

A spark of hope could be seen in Hotshot's eyes as he started to explain, "Mr.Blue blood, sir, I honestly didn't want to steal from ya but I had no choice."

As Hotshot began to explain as to why he stole from him, Blue blood began to slowly drift to his right towards an elevator, "Really? No choice?"

Hotshot nodded, "Yeah, ya see boss I have a little niece, her name's Morning glory, She was in the hospital because she was needing a transplant for her-"

"Her kidney, right?" Blueblood asked, cutting off Hotshot.

"Yeah her... wait how did you know about that?" Hotshot questioned.

Blueblood stopped at the elevator and called the elevator to their floor before he proceeded, "How did I know? Hotshot you must be joking."

Before the red shaking stallion could even answer, Blueblood turned toward him and yelled, "I OWN THIS CITY! HOW THE HELL DID YOU THINK YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH STEALING MY MONEY AND THEN USE IT AT A HOSPITAL!? YOU THINK I WOULDN'T NOTICE THIS LARGE OF A TRANSACTION BY YOU?"

Blueblood stopped for a moment as Hotshot realized how stupid of a mistake he had made, "But you want to know the best part? Not all the money you stole was used at the hospital... in fact the remaining money was sent to Canterlot. So listen Hotshot here's what it comes down to, you betrayed me and spent MY MONEY on some pathetic kid! So if you want to go behind my back and betray your boss then I think it's only fair I find out the REAL reason why."

"What do you me-" Hotshot silenced himself as Blueblood pulled a manila envelope from his long coat. He threw it on the floor in front of Hotshot.

"Open it and read it aloud, if you be so kind. " Blueblood stated calmly, the elevator dinged a moment later as it had reached their floor.

Hotshot slowly bent down and opened the folder, the look on his face turned from a frightened one to a stone cold one as he began to read the file," This is the personal file of Under-Cover detective Hotshot... His last known assignment was to go undercover and infiltrate Prince Blueblood-"

"I think that's a fine place to stop, Detective." The last word of the sentence was covered in venom as it left Blueblood's tongue.

The detective dropped the folder on the floor and tightened his fists as he looked at Blueblood, "What do you want from me?"

Blueblood smiled, "My I must say you put on quite a good acting show for the past two-years Hotshot, I never expected you to be one of Shining armor's lap dogs. And as for what I want... I want revenge."

As Blueblood said this he pushed another button on the elevator panel and watched as the doors slowly opened, filing the immediate area with a pungent scent. But that wasn't the only thing that filled the area, crying could be heard from the darkness of the elevator. The crying had caught the detective's attention, he knew who was crying.

"Morning glory... What did you do to her?" Hotshot questioned with a noticeably angrier tone.

"Oh I didn't do anything to her...yet." Blueblood was able to put a smirk on for a moment before Hotshot flew at Blueblood and landed a fist on his muzzle. Hotshot was only able to get another shot in before Blueblood's henchmen ran up and handcuffed him. Blueblood slowly picked himself off the floor and spit on the ground.

"You dare touch me? That's just going to make this all the sweeter... Bruteforce, put him in there with his niece." Bruteforce proceeded to do as he was told and threw the stallion in to the dark elevator. As Hotshot began to sit up he noticed three things the first being that his niece was tied to a chair, the second was that she had stopped crying and was now staring at him, the third... The entire floor of the elevator was covered in gasoline. As Hotshot was making these discoveries Blueblood had lite another cigar since his last one had been rudely put out, He smiled as he slowly walked in front of the two ponies and watched them.

"You know Hotshot before I kill you and your niece I thought it would be nice to let you know that she had her operation just a few hours ago... It was a major success." Before Blueblood could do anything else Hotshot desperately tried to stand and attempted to reason with the gangster.

"Blueblood, please, do whatever you want to me just... please let her go... she's just a kid dammit! I swear to god I'll let you do anything you want to me just... please!" Hotshot pleaded on his knees since he could not stand in the slippery floor. Blueblood simply smiled as he looked at the pleading detective, he motioned for Bruteforce to close the metal gate separating the elevator from the current floor it was on. As Bruteforce closed the gate, Blueblood bent down and looked Hotshot in the eyes for a few silent moments before finally speaking, "You're talking to god-"

Blueblood stood up and took the cigar out of his mouth and held it in his hand for a few seconds before he put on a smirk, "So you might as well swear to me."

Before anything else could be said Blueblood flicked the lite cigar through the openings in the gate and watched as both the detective and his niece caught a flame. He pushed the button for the elevator doors to close and watched as the detective scrambled to be near his niece. Their screams could most likely be heard all through out the hotel which meant it was time for him to leave. But as he was walking towards the fire escape with Brute force, Blueblood turned back and looked at the elevator for a moment before he smirked,"This is my city... And no royal guard is going to change that."
