Chapters Fluttershy awoke with a start. She had a dream where she exploded and a baby filly flew out. Fluttershy yawned and got out of bed carefully, trying not to awake Discord, even though nothing can really awake him. She went to the bathroom and washed her face. She dried off her face. Thats when she felt a huge eruption in her stomach.
She ran and threw up in the toilet. She moaned slightly. "Again." She murmured. She walked to the main room and gave food to the animals. She got herself something to eat too. A large bowl of salad with all kinds of things. Healthy, junky, poisonous. She didn't care. Very strange of her. When she finished she washed her plate.
Discord told her to leave it in the kitchen and he'd take care of it, but Fluttershy washed it anyway, she was that kind of pony. Her stomach hurt again. "Ow. Ow...OW!" She shrieked, falling. She got back up. Discord appeared within a second.
"What happened?!" He asked.
"Nothing...just my stomach hurt." She said.
"I'll fix it in a snap." Discord said. He snapped his fingers. Something happened, but that just hurt Fluttershy. She put her hoof on her stomach. She felt a pound.
"Wh-what?!" She yelled jumping up.
"What happened?!" Discord asked again. "I felt a pound on my stomach." Fluttershy said. Discord gasped.
"You should go see that one purple pony...lets see whats her name....."
"Twilight?"
"Yes Twilight, go see her and hurry!" Discord said. Fluttershy began walking towards the door. "NO! Don't walk, i'll just teleport you!" Discord said. After he snapped his fingers, Fluttershy found herself at Twilight's front door. She knocked on the door. Twilight had been given a choice to stay in Ponyville or Canterlot.
She chose Ponyville, but she went to Canterlot every 3 weeks to help out.
Twilight opened the door. "Hi Fluttershy, please come in." Twilight said.
"Ok." Fluttershy said.
Fluttershy walked in the clutched her stomach. "Twilight for the past weeks i've been getting horrible pains in my stomach. Can you figure out why?" Fluttershy asked.
"It's probably the same reason as RainbowDash's." Twilight said.
"What was the reason?" Fluttershy asked.
Twilight said nothing as she checked Fluttershy's stomach, then she did an x-ray. Then she used her horn to make a flash. It made Fluttershy dizzy. Or was it something else?
"No doubt about it, it's the same reason." Twilight said.
"What was the reason?" Fluttershy asked desperately.
"Your pregnant. Just like Rainbow." Twilight said. Fluttershy's eyes widened.
"OHMYGOSH REALLY?! THATS AMAZING!" Fluttershy shrieked as she flew around the room. "I CAN FLY! I CAN FLY!" She said happily.
Well duh! Twilight thought. Fluttershy stopped. "I wonder how Discord is going to react." Fluttershy said.
I cant imagine Fluttershy being a mother. Twilight thought.
"I wonder what the baby is? Or how it looks like?" Fluttershy thought. She flew for a moment. "Twilight when is the baby due?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well it looks like its due in about 2 months!" Twilight said. "What?!" Fluttershy said. She flew out of the house and dashed towards the everfree forest. She entered the Forest and headed towards the castle.
When she arrived Discord was pacing. He looked at her. "What happened? Is everything all right?" Discord asked impatiently. Fluttershy walked towards him and hugged him tight.
"Discord...i'm pregnant." Fluttershy said smiling. Discord stopped for a moment, then the whole room turned into a disco platform and music blasted.
"YEAH IMMA BE A FATHER! IM DADDY DISCORD!" He yelled dancing. Out of nowhere everything stopped, and Discord froze in his position. "Wait, when is my little minion due?" Discord asked.
"2 months." Fluttershy said. Discord's mouth hung open.
"Well we must rush to the hospital! Hurry, make haste!" Discord said, spawning a chariot.
"Discord we can wait the 2 months." Fluttershy said.
"Well I cant so i'm just gonna zoom time forward." Discord said. He snapped his fingers. The whole place was swirly and started to glow, but the room returned to normal. Discord looked at the clock. He went 3 minutes forward in time.
"Satisfied?" Fluttershy asked.
"Oh hush." Discord said with a glum look. The next handful of weeks went by fast for everyone except Discord. Naturally. The day of the arrival Discord didn't hesitate to teleport Fluttershy to the hospital as soon as he woke up, which was earlier that usual. Fluttershy was still asleep when she was in the hospital bed.
"Should someone awake her?" Discord asked.
"Nonsense, let her rest before her labor." The doctor said.
Discord sat on the chair beside the bed. Fluttershy's eyes opened slightly. The they opened completely. She looked around the white room. "Where am I?" She asked.
"Your in the hospital, we recieved news you were going into labor." The doctor said. The intercom turned on.
"Doctor Paladin, please go to room 312."
"I'll see you guys in about an hour, the nurse will be here in a moment." The doctor said, walking out the room.
"You know Fluttershy, i've never felt so happy, yet scared." Discord said.
"Oh Discord, i'll be okay. It'll be all worth it in the end. Though i'm not prepared for the pain. My cousin said it was the pain of all your bones shattering at the same time." Fluttershy said.
"Hmm. I see." Discord said. Fluttershy looked at the tv. She didnt recognize the show.
"Discord, can I tell you something." Fluttershy asked.
"Again?" Discord said. She saw Fluttershy staring at him. "I mean yea sure." He said forcing a smile.
"Yesterday I visited Zecora before I went to visit Pinkie and Applejack. She said something about a war. This war would kill and injure many ponies. But she told me that the friendship of two ponies will end the war, and peace will be restored." She said.
"A war you say? And the friendship of two ponies?" Discord said. Just then a mare walked in.
"Hello my name is Marea [pronounced Muh-re-uh] and I will be your nurse. Is there anything you need, dear?" Marea said. "No thanks, i'm good." Fluttershy said. The doctor came in at that moment.
"Marea patient #416 will have to be in this room." He said.
"Why?" Marea asked.
"The room had a 'spill' and it wasn't safe for her." The doctor said. Marea nodded.
"Let her in."
A cart came in with a familiar cyan pony with a rainbow mane on it. She was asleep.
Fluttershy's eyes widened. "RainbowDash!"

Yay I finished CHAPTER 1, next chapter wont take so long to upload, promise.
"RainbowDash!"
The cart rolled to the opposite side of Discord. RainbowDash slept soundly and quietly. "Discord, can you believe it? RainbowDash is here!" She squeaked.
"Nope I cant believe it." He said. They heard a moan from RainbowDash. She stretched, but kept sleeping. Fluttershy yawned as well. "I'm pretty tired too." Fluttershy said. Discord yawned.
"Your yawning is very contagious, Fluttershy." Discord said. "Goodnight." She said, closing her eyes.
Goodnight my paw, the sun is up! Discord thought. He turned and saw the door opening. Rarity, Twilight, and Pinkie walked in. Discord put his finger over his mouth and pointed at Fluttershy, signaling them to not make noise.
"Hi Discord, hows life treating you?" Twilight asked
"Amazing, never felt better." Discord said smiling. Twilight nodded. Pinkie looked at Fluttershy, then RainbowDash, the Fluttershy again.
"I don't remember the last time RainbowDash was quiet like Fluttershy." She said.
"It's hard to imagine Fluttershy or even RainbowDash having children of their own." Rarity said. They heard stirring from RainbowDash's bed. RainbowDash yawned and opened her eyes.
"Whoa...that was a wierd experience." RainbowDash said. She looked around. "Hey, where am I?" She tried to get up, but couldnt.
"Whoa no getting up until later." Twilight said.
"Oww...having a baby is painful. Why didn't you warn me Twilight?" RainbowDash asked.
"I did warn you." Twilight muttered. RainbowDash saw Fluttershy sleeping.
"Hey why is Fluttershy having a nap in here?" RainbowDash asked.
"Because she's having a baby too." Pinkie said loudly. Rarity shushed her.
"Really? Who's the father?" RainbowDash asked.
"You should know." Discord said.
"Wow, the element of kindness having the lord of chaos' baby. Shocker ain't it?" RainbowDash said.
"I think its coming." Fluttershy said. She had awakened.
"Say what now?" Discord said.
"I said I think its-" Fluttershy was interrupted when Applejack walked in.
"Y'all ain't left me out, have ya?" She asked.
"Nope, in fact you might be in time." Twilight said.
"Ow, calm down in there!" RainbowDash yelled.
"Someone is going to have a feisty child." Rarity said.
Fluttershy tightened her eyes. "It's coming!" She squeaked.
"Oh where the heck is the doctor?" Twilight said. (I didn't say this earlier but the doctor left again.)
"Move aside, I have experience with this." Applejack said.
"Really? Me too!" Pinkie squeaked bouncing up and down.
"Alright Fluttershy, I know this is painful, but do not hold your breath. Breath in and out. In and out." Applejack said. Fluttershy obeyed. She breathed but it hurt even more.
A tear slid from her eye. "I can't!" She whimpered.
"Why dont I just use my magic to make it less painful?" Discord asked
"Discord, she has to feel it." Applejack said.
"It hurts!" Fluttershy said.
"Alright sugar cube, push, but don't stop breathing!" Applejack said.
"Aaah!" She screamed.
It's like their torturing her. Discord thought.
"Fluttershy you can do this!" Twilight said.
"Alright, again Fluttershy! Push!" Applejack said.
"Aaargh! I....cant...aaaaaah!" She screamed. She felt something with unexplainable pain. After a little while that seemed like forever to Fluttershy, everyone cheered.
"Congratulation Fluttershy, you gave birth to a healthy baby filly." Applejack said. Discord walked over to see. The filly had a purple and white striped mane and tail with a lavender coat and spiraled purple eyes.
"Hey, I still need help here! This one is eager!" RainbowDash said loudly. Applejack walked towards RainbowDash.
"Alright sugarcube, you have an idea what to do." Applejack said.
"No problemo! Its not that hard, just breath and push." RainbowDash said.
"Wait shouldn't Soarin be here?" Twilight asked. Everyone looked at RainbowDash.
"He had to do overtime in the Wonderbolts." RainbowDash said.
"Alright anyway..." Applejack was interrupted by Soarin walking in with Spike at his side.
"Did we miss anything?" Spike asked.
"Just Fluttershy's." Rarity said.
RainbowDash's filly did go out easily, and RainbowDash pretended it didnt hurt, but her expression showed deep pain. RainbowDash's filly had a cyan mane with a dark blue pelt. Her tail was mixed cyan and blue. Her left eye was light blue, while her right eye was lavender.
"Wow, our baby turned out better than I thought." Soarin said. Discord studied his baby. "I dont see a resemblance to any of us." Discord said, summoning a magnifying glass. The filly saw it and grabbed the magnifying glass.
"It doesn't matter how it looks Discord. It is our baby, and I will love it no matter what." Fluttershy said.
"And thats the right thing to do." Twilight said.
It wasnt until everyone checked out of the hospital when Discord realized something. "Hey, we never named our little one." He said.
"Hey your right! We gotta name this little pony." Fluttershy said.
"So....any ideas?" Discord asked, setting down his daughter. The filly looked at the grass they were on. She rolled around in it.
"She reminds me of an old friend of mine. She loved everything about nature and I actually saw her roll around in grass a few times, just like she is doing." Fluttershy said. "Before I moved to Cloudsdale, she was my best friend. We did everything together, we played together, ate together, went to school together, like we were sisters." She said smiling.
"What happened to her?" Discord asked.
"Well, a few weeks after I left I recieved a note that she...that she..." She closed her eyes and frowned. "That she had died." Fluttershy said, letting a tear escape.
"Oh, sorry I asked." Discord said. Fluttershy mumbled something that sounded like 'it's ok'. "What was her name." Discord asked.
"Her name was Lidasia, but everyone called her Lydia for short." Fluttershy said.
"So we should name her Lidasia?" Discord asked.
"Yes, but we shall call her Lydia for short." Fluttershy said.
"Hey guys!" Said a voice behind them. They turned and saw RainbowDash flying towards them with her daughter on her back.
"RainbowDash, do you think its a good idea to fly when you just got out of the hospital?" Fluttershy asked.
"Pshaw, it dont hurt....much." She said. "Anyway, have you guys decided a name for your filly? 'Cause I have! Say hello to little Starshine!" RainbowDash said.
"Yes we have, we named her Lidasia, but were gonna call her Lydia for short." Fluttershy said. They heard a tinkling noise and looked at Lydia, who disappeared with a poof. "Heyy! Where did she go?" Fluttershy asked.
"Ahh that's my girl." Discord said. Fluttershy glared at him. "I mean, wherever did she go?" He said forcing a smile on his face with a nervous laugh.
"Hey I found her!" RainbowDash said.
"Really? Where?" Fluttershy asked.
"Shes on my back with Starshine." RainbowDash said. Starshine and Lydia stared at each other. Starshine used her hoof to gently touch Lydia's nuzzle. She pulled it back and smiled happily. Lydia smiled as well.
"Looks like some ponies are getting along." Said a voice behind Fluttershy, causing her to flinch. RainbowDash chuckled. Fluttershy turned and saw Twilight. "Hey, I want all of you to come to my library in 15 minutes." The purple alicorn said. They nodded as Twilight flew back to her library.
They arrived at the library in 15 minutes exactly. When they walked in it was completely dark. "Why is it so dark?" RainbowDash asked.
"I think I found the light switch." Discord said. He flicked the switch upwards and were greeted by all their friends and family in a huge surprise yell.
"Whoa what's this about?" Fluttershy asked.
"It's a baby shower!" Pinkie said.
"A what?'' RainbowDash asked.
"It's where we give gifts to the new fillies." Twilight said.
"Oh open my gifts first!" Pinkie said shoving the gifts to Rainbow and Fluttershy. Fluttershy opened the box to find a lot of toys. RainbowDash recieved the same thing. "They belonged to my sister, but she out grew them! So I am trusting you to play with them forever and ever!" Pinkie said!
"Thank you very much Pinkie." Fluttershy said.
"Thanks Pinkie, now Starshine wont ever get bored!" RainbowDash said happily.
Lydia and Starshine peeked in the toy boxes. "Go ahead and open my gifts." Rarity said. Her box was much more decorated with a silver and red ribbon tied around it. Fluttershy opened it and saw some small pajamas. "I made them a few days ago for your fillies. I hope you like it." Rarity said.
Fluttershy nodded her thanks. RainbowDash did the same.
"Open mine next, sugarcube." Applejack said. Fluttershy opened the box and found a . "They helped me grow and I hope they help yours grow as well." Applejack said.
"Thank you so much." Fluttershy said. RainbowDash nodded.
"This is from me to you guys!" Scootaloo said happily. They were both large boxes. When Fluttershy opened it, she saw a spherical shaped object. Fluttershy picked it up and examined it. It was a yellow yes or no question answerer. "It helped me through some tough times." Scootaloo said. RainbowDash recieved the same, except hers was blue.
"Now open mine!" Sweetie Belle said. Fluttershy opened it and saw a microphone that records voices and music. "It should entertain them, like it did me." Sweetie Belle said.
"Y'all open mine next!" Applebloom said. Fluttershy and RainbowDash opened the box and saw two bracelets that had the words 'Friends 4ever'. "I figured your fillies would be the best a' friends." Applebloom said.
"I guess you must open my present." Twilight said. Man when I get home imma take a nap. Discord thought. Fluttershy and RainbowDash opened the boxes to see coloring books. "These should entertain and teach them while they grow." Twilight said.
"I...I don't know what to say, you all are the best of friends a pony could have!" Fluttershy said.
"You guys are AMAZING! Thank you very much." RainbowDash said.
"But that's not all." Said a voice behind them. They turned and saw Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Everyone bowed. "Me and Luna took our time on making these presents. Fluttershy, RainbowDash, make sure they keep these forever, and they never lose them." Celestia said. Fluttershy and RainbowDash nodded.
Celestia stepped towards Lydia. Lydia looked up at her. Celestia's horn glowed and a hat appeared on Lydia's head. The hat had a spinner on the top. Luna stepped forward to Starshine. Starshine looked up at Luna. Luna's horn glowed and a necklace appeared around Starshine's neck. The bracelet had a silver chain with a navy blue heart and a gold outline.
"Wow...thank you so much, I...I am so happy." Fluttershy said.
"Thank you so much!" RainbowDash said.
"We must get going, but first..." Celestia walked towards Discord. "Discord, I trust you won't show your daughter anything chaotic, only good." Celestia said. Discord nodded.
"I promise." Discord said.
Author's Note
Oh yea Lydia is meant to look SIMILAR to Screwball from Daughter of Discord. No I did not steal her, I had permission, mind you. Also for those of you who dont like my beginning or think that Lydia isn't a pony name, just deal with it and you will see the story gets better. You will adjust.
A month had passed (i know, a cliché) since the baby shower and Discord had to go somewhere. He insisted that Fluttershy went along to, so theres a conversation going on.
"We can't just leave our filly here Discord!" Fluttershy said.
"Then lets take her with us!" Discord said.
"Are you crazy? It's too dangerous."
"Haven't you forgotten who I am?"
"Haven't you forgotten your child's powers?"
"Then what are we supposed to do?"
"One of us stays."
"But then it wont be the same."
"Then deal with it."
Discord thought for a few minutes.
"How about-"
"We are not dressing her up like a puppy and bringing her in a pet taxi."
"I wasn't going to say that...sort of."
"If you really need me there and if it's a matter of life and death i'll go, but i'll have to hire a fillysitter."
"NO WAY! I don't trust those people, i've seen those foreign movies! They're dangerous I tell you!"
"Then we don't go." Fluttershy said. Discord grunted.
"Fine, just ask your friends if they know someone who could do the job." Discord said reluctantly.
Fluttershy flew around looking for Twilight first. She wasn't at her home, and the locals said she didn't leave to Canterlot. Upon searching she was stopped by Pinkie Pie. "Hi Fluttershy! How is life? Make new friends? How old is your filly?" She asked.
"Pinkie i'd love to play 50 questions with you but i'm a little busy." Fluttershy said.
"Really? So am I!" Pinkie said.
"Busy? You?"
"Yup! I'm waiting for an old friend! I haven't seem him in ages! Since before I came to Ponyville!" Pinkie said.
"Well, maybe i could meet him later, but I have to go now, bye Pinkie." Fluttershy said flying off while Pinkie waved.
Fluttershy flew around. She didn't ask Pinkie, but oh well. She was stopped by Rarity. "Good afternoon, Fluttershy." Rarity said
"Oh hi Rarity. If it isn't a bother, do you know anypony who could fillysit my filly?" Fluttershy asked.
"Sorry Fluttershy, I don't know anyone." Rarity said.
"Well, thanks anyway. See you soon Rarity!" Fluttershy said, flying off. As she was flying around she looked at the clock. 3:45. Discord wanted to leave at 4:15. She hurried around, but none of her friends knew anyone nor could do it themselves. She returned to the town square.
Time was 4:00. She hurried around, only one pony left to ask was Pinkie, since she hadnt asked her earlier. She entered Sugarcube corner, but no one was there. "Hello? Pinkie?" Fluttershy called. She heard walking. She looked to her left and saw Mrs. Cake.
"Oh hello Fluttershy, are you looking for Pinkie?" She asked.
"Yes, do you know where she went?" Fluttershy asked.
"She went to the lake with a friend of hers." Mrs. Cake said.
"Thank you so much." Fluttershy said, waving goodbye. Her next destination was the lake. As she was walking she saw clouds piling up. "Its gonna rain." Fluttershy thought. She quickened her pace.
Fluttershy reached the lake in not a long time. She saw Pinkie and another pony in the lake, splashing at each other. "Pinkie pie!" Fluttershy called. Pinkie turned and saw her.
"Hold on a moment, I gotta take this!" Pinkie said to her friend as she swam towards Fluttershy. "Yeeeeeessss?" Pinkie asked with a smile.
"Um Pinkie, do you know a good filly sitter?" Fluttershy asked. "
"Of COURSE I do!" Pinkie said happily.
"Really? Who?" Fluttershy asked. Pinkie wrapped her wet hoof around Fluttershy's neck and pointed at her friend. "Him?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yes him! He is the the best fillysitter ever! And he's responsible! More responsible than me!" Pinkie said.
"Well, I guess I could-"
"GREAT!" Pinkie motioned for her friend to come over. When he stood up Fluttershy noticed wings on his back.
"Your friend is a pegasus?" Fluttershy asked.
"The SWEETEST pegasus!" Pinkie said. When her friend was near Fluttershy couldnt help but feel that she saw him before. The pony had a navy blue pelt with a red and casual blue mane. His tail was neon with white. He was also wearing black sweatbands on his front hooves and back hooves. This pony felt....familiar.
"Hello there." The pegasus said.
"Fluttershy, I want you to meet NightShard, NightShard meet Fluttershy." Pinkie said. NightShard nodded.
"Pinkie told me about you, that you're the element of kindness, your usually very shy, and your married to a Draconequus." NightShard said.
"Don't forget she had a filly with one!" Pinkie added in.
"Yea, well anyway, nice meeting you." He said.
"NightShard, Fluttershy was wondering if you would fillysit her filly!" Pinkie said.
"Really?" NightShard asked. Fluttershy nodded. "Well, I could give it a try, I mean I fillysat Pinkie's younger sister with no problem, how hard would it be?"
"You'll fillysit my filly?" Fluttershy asked. NightShard nodded. "Oh thank you! H-how much do you charge?" Fluttershy asked.
"Actually, I was willing to do it for free." NightShard said.
"Ok, thank you kindly." Fluttershy said.
"If you're gonna go.." Pinkie threw a towel over NightShard's neck. "...atleast dry yourself off!"
"Smart thinking, Pinkie. Smart thinking." He said drying himself off. When he finished he handed the towel to Pinkie. "Alright Fluttershy, lead the way!" NightShard said. Fluttershy nodded and flew towards the direction of the castle with NightShard following behind.

It was only a 5 minute flight from the lake to the castle. Usually Fluttershy expected anyone crossing the Everfree forest being scared to death like she used to be, but no, NightShard was pretty confident. He showed no fear. Once they had arrived Discord greeted them.
"Have you seen Lydia anywhere?" Discord asked his wife.
"Did you lose her again?" Fluttershy said.
"Hey, her magic is strong!" Discord said. He looked at NightShard. "Who is this?"
"That's the fillysitter." Fluttershy said.
"But he's a colt! I'd expect a mare to do that fillysitting stuff." Discord said.
"Well Pinkie convinced me that he is a good fillysitter." Fluttershy said.
"But what if he is dangerous? For all we know he could tie her up and-"
"DISCORD! He is going to fillysit Lydia. Unless of course you'd rather stay here and not leave."
"Ugh..fine. How much money you want?" Discord asked NightShard.
"I'll fillysit for free." NightShard asked.
"Hmm a free fillysitter huh? Sounds suspicious. Just remember, i'll be watching your every move, even when you think i'm gone and your alone, i'll be watching you." Discord said.
"It's okay, people didn't trust me the first time either." NightShard stook out his hoof. "I'm NightShard, glad to meet you." Discord shook his hoof. He had just then noticed his wings.
"Say your a pegasus? How fast are you?" Discord asked.
"I don't know, people called me faster than lightning but I doubt i'm that fast." NightShard said. Discord chuckled.
"I know someone who would like to meet you." Discord said.
"Hey Discord I found Lydia!" Fluttershy said.
"Where?"
"On your back." Discord turned and saw his little filly on his back, smiling. He picked her up.
"This is the one who you will fillysit. Careful though, she's a trickster." Discord said.
"I probably can handle her. I've dealed with earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns, as well as Pinkie's sister." NightShard said.
"Pinkie's sister you say? Well if you could handle her then you could probably handle Lydia." Discord said.
"I won't let you down, sir." NightShard said. Discord nodded his approval. Discord sat Lydia on the ground and left with Fluttershy, expecting nothing bad to happen. "Alright NightShard, you can do this. How hard can it be?" He said to himself. He looked at Lydia, who was playing with one of her toys.
Fluttershy told him that Lydia had already eaten before she left, and that she shouldn't need food until they returned. He looked at Lydia again. It shouldn't be a hard task. Lydia took notice of this. She giggled and poof! She disappeared. NightShard looked around, unsure where she went. He knew that babies' magic and strengths weren't something to fool around with.
He learned that the hard way.
NightShard set off in search of Lydia. He had much trouble because 3/4 of the castle was a maze. He spotted her on the roof. She spotted him as well. She disappeared again. NightShard looked around. He grunted. He had not noticed the filly on his back until he reached the main room. NightShard sat her on the ground.
"How come you are so light?" He wondered out loud. He knew Lydia wouldn't have understood him. Or maybe she did. He looked into her eyes. Lydia giggled and a stuffed bunny appeared on his head. He took it off and sat it next to her. Lydia's magic was pretty strong, though she was an earth pony.
But she has draconequus blood in her. NightShard thought. He looked at the time. 2 hours had already passed. "You did something, didn't you?" He asked. Lydia looked at him with her purple swirly eyes. Discord and Fluttershy would be back soon. He looked around, expecting a mess, but everything was clean.
He sat down. He was tired. She was more than a handfull. Lydia started glowing. NightShard hoped she didnt teleport again. She teleported, but onto his head that time. NightShard laughed a bit.
When Discord and Fluttershy returned they were surprised to see everything not messed up. "See Discord? Told you he was a good sitter." Fluttershy said. Discord grunted. NightShard emerged from another room smiling, and Lydia was on his back, laughing.
"Looks like you had a good time." Fluttershy said.
"That I did. Lydia has a great sense of humor." NightShard said.
"Well she is my daughter, of course she should have one." Discord said.
"So anyway, i've gotta head back to Pinkie, see you tomorrow?" NightShard said. Fluttershy nodded.
"Until tomorrow." And NightShard flew off.

Next chapter skips 4 years.
"Mommy! Daddy! Get up! Hurry!" Said Lydia, who was bouncing on her parents' bed.
"Ohhh 5 more minutes." Discord moaned.
"But I don't have 5 minutes!" Lydia said. Lydia had turned 4 years old a month and a half ago. Now she was starting school. Discord thought she was too young but Fluttershy said she was old and smart enough to go to school. "Well Discord, you stay in bed, i'll go tend our daughter." Fluttershy said, rising from the bed.
In a way, Lydia had developed a trait from Rarity, Twlight, Pinkie, Discord, Fluttershy, RainbowDash, Spike, and Applejack. Lydia liked being neat like Rarity, she was smart like Twilight, she loved having fun and seemed to be a bit hyper like Pinkie, she loved messing with others, like her father, she was very kind as well like her mother, she loved a good challenge like Rainbow, she was very obediant like Spike, and she was a hard worker like Applejack.
Lydia hopped up and down on their way to the kitchen. "I don't see how you can have so much energy this early." Fluttershy said.
"It's because i'm so excited!" Lydia said, still bouncing.
"Your the only pony I know except for Twilight who was excited for the first day of school. I wasn't. Rainbow wasn't. Rarity wasn't. I don't even know if Applejack, Pinkie, or your father even went to school." Fluttershy said.
"That's because I am special." Lydia responded. "After all, I am daddy's girl."
Lydia sat down at the table. Fluttershy began making Lydia a bowl of cereal. "I wonder if Starshine is as excited as me. I sure hope she is in the same class as me." Lydia said to herself as Fluttershy put the bowl of cereal in front of her.
Once she had finished Discord showed up. He yawned. "Boy we need a new bed, that one sure doesn't like me." Discord said. He approached Lydia and picked her up. "Hi there, my little minion." Discord said.
"Hi there, my big commander." Lydia said, saluting him. He put her down and picked up Fluttershy.
"Hello there, my adorable butterfly." Discord said.
"Discord...i'm trying to pack Lydia's things in her bag." Fluttershy said.
"Yeah...anyway where is her school?" Discord asked.
"Downtown ponyville." Fluttershy said.
"Then we gotta hurry! We'll be late and the teacher won't let us in like in that one time at the beach when that old mare started to beat me with her cane because of our tardiness." Discord said, setting her down.
"Discord that never happened, and the school starts at 8:00, and it's 7:00 right now." Fluttershy said.
"Fine, but i'm not going to be smacked by a cane this time." Discord spawned a tv and couch. "I'm going to stay here and watch some funny stuff." He laid down on the couch while spawning his chocolate milk and grabbed a remote. Fluttershy put the bag on Lydia.
"You stay here then. I'll go to RainbowDash's place and let Starshine and Lydia go to school together." Fluttershy said.
'Yay! Let's go! Let's go!'' Lydia said, bouncing around.
"Be safe and watch out for timberwolves!" Discord called as they left.
"Alright do you have everything you need?" RainbowDash asked her daughter.
"Yes I do mommy!" Starshine said.
"You sure?" she asked.
"Starshine approves." She said.
"That's a good girl." RainbowDash said, rubbing her daughter's mane. "Now, what do you do if somepony wants to mess with you?"
"POP HIM IN THE FACE!" Starshine yelled.
"I meant before that." RainbowDash said.
"Tell him he is adopted?"
"No! You say that he isn't being a good sport." RainbowDash said. Where did she even learn that?
"But that's boring! How about I tie him up and drop him from the clouds?" Starshine asked.
"How about I tie you up and drop you from the clouds?" RainbowDash said.
"Bring it on!" Starshine said, and they began to play fight until they heard a knock. RainbowDash stood up and said, "Come in!" Fluttershy came in with Lydia on her back.
"Hi RainbowDash, how's life been?" Fluttershy asked.
"Awful quiet, except for this little one." RainbowDash said.
"Same here. Is Starshine going to school today?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well duh! Why wouldn't she?" RainbowDash said. Starshine walked over to Lydia, who was still on her mother's back.
"Why don't you step on the clouds?" Starshine asked.
"Because I can't. I'm not a pegasus." Lydia said.
"Cmon, you levitate through magic without even having a horn. If anything your an alicorn." Starshine said.
"No, i'm a ponyniquus." Lydia said.
"What's that?" Starshine asked.
"A pony and a draconequus combined." Lydia said.
"Look if you fall i'll catch you!" Starshine said.
"You can't even fly yet and your talking about saving my life if I fall off Cloudsdale." Lydia said.
"Oh hush, just trust me." Starshine said, winking.
"Ok, fine." Lydia said. She carefully placed her left hind hoof on the cloudy floor, then her right, while still holding on to her mother. Then she let go. Nothing happened. "Huh, guess I can walk on clouds."
"Now you owe me 5 dollars." Starshine said.
"Nuh uh!" Lydia argued.
"Uh huh!" Starshine replied.
"Nuh uh!"
"Uh huh!"
"Alright girls, that's enough." RainbowDash said.
"Yes mommy." Starshine said.
You still owe me 5 dollars.
"Well we should get going to school. I don't wanna be late." Lydia said.
"Alright, let's go! Bye mommy!" Starshine said, dashing out the house.
"Hey wait up!" Lydia said, running behind her.
"They grow up so fast. Seems like yesterday they were only little fillies in a cradle." Fluttershy said. RainbowDash nodded in agreement.
"Ha I beat her to the school!" Starshine said. She turned around and bumbed into a pony. "Hey!"
"Hi!" Said Lydia.
"How come you got here so fast?" Starshine asked.
"Magic?"
"Oh well, let's go in and meet our teacher!" Starshine said. They walked into the school house. There were no other ponies in there.
"Are we too late?" Lydia asked.
"No you're just early." Said a voice that wasn't Starshine's. She turned and saw a pinkish pony. "Hi, i'm Mrs Cheerilee, and you are?"
"Hi! I'm Lydia and this is Starshine. Nice to meet you!" Lydia said.
"I'm assuming you are our teacher?" Starshine said.
"I sure am, go ahead and have a seat. You can visit until all the kids get here." Mrs Cheerilee said.
"Visit?" Lydia asked. "Visit who?"
"It's where you talk to each other." She said.
"Ohhh. I see what you did there." Starshine said. They walked towards the two middle seats in the front row and sat on them. Starshine took out a book and pencil and began writing in it.
"Hey whatcha writing? We don't need notes now, do we?" Lydia asked.
"I'm not taking notes, i'm drawing silly filly!" she said. Lydia peered over her shoulder.
"What is it?" She asked.
"I'll tell you when I finish!" She said.
"Fine." Lydia said. She watched Starshine for a bit. Starshine was deeply concentrated she didn't notice Lydia watching her. After 5 minutes she began coloring.
Lydia was about to say something when Starshine said, "Done!" Lydia looked at the drawing.
"I still don't know what it is." Lydia said. Starshine sighed.
"It's my mommy and daddy! See? Look at my mom's rainbow mane and tail. And you can see my dad standing beside her!" Starshine said. Lydia had seen better drawings, but Starshine could draw and color better than she ever could. Maybe.
"Um, hello?" Said an inconspicuous voice. Lydia looked up and saw a light gray filly with a teal mane and light brown tail. Her legs were wobbling.
"Hello! Please take a seat anywhere you'd like." Mrs. Cheerilee said. The filly slowly walked towards a desk beside Lydia. Lydia turned to her.
"Hi i'm Lydia." She said.
"Hi...Lydia." The filly said quietly.
"What's your name?"
"M...my n..n..na...name is..." She said it so quietly Lydia didn't hear her.
"Um, what was that.?" Lydia asked.
"M...my n...n...na...name is....Misty." She said where Lydia could barely hear her.
"Well nice to meet you, Misty!" Lydia said, holding out her hoof waiting for her to shake it. Misty ignored it. Not long after all the other kids came. They all found their seats.
"Ok class i'm sure you all are new to school, so today i'm just going to tell you what the school year is going to be like." Mrs Cheerilee said. The girl behind Lydia sighed. "Ok so this is your first year so we aren't going to do anything hard for you, were going to go easy."
"She better!" Whispered the girl behind Lydia. Lydia kept herself from making a remark.
"Ok, so who can tell me what they know about school?" Mrs. Cheerilee asked. Starshine's hoof shot up. "Yes, Starshine?"
"School is where we learn things so we can get smart and make friends." She said.
"Thank you, Starshine." Mrs. Cheerilee said. "But there is a bit more than that, but you'll learn that later on in the year."
"Nerd." The girl behind Lydia whispered. Lydia was trying her hardest not to zip her mouth closed. She didn't want to get in trouble on the first day.
Mrs. Cheerilee explained more about the school year and let the kids outside for recess. Lydia loved being on the swings. She loved swinging high up then leaping off. Lucky for her magic, she didn't get hurt once she launched herself 20 feet in the air. Starshine watched her, cheering for her and calling scores of 1-10.
"You see that ugly girl over there?" Said a grayish pony in the distance.
"Yea, she is ugly, and what's with her eyes?" Said the orange pony beside her.
"My mom said that she is the daughter of a madpony who used to terrorize ponies for fun."
"That's probably why she is so ugly." Both the girls snickered.
"Let's ask her why." Said the gray pony. They walked over to her. They sat beside Starshine. Starshine didn't glance at them. She kept her eyes directly on her friend.
"3...2.....1.......JUMP!" Lydia shouted, leaping off swings. She flew high into the air, almost to the clouds. Then she dropped. She landed on her back.
"NEW RECORD!" Starshine shouted. She looked at the gray pony. "Like what you saw?"
"Can I talk to you?" She said to Lydia. Lydia flew to her hooves.
"Sure!"
"I don't know how to put this but are you strange?"
"Yes I am! And proud! Like this one time-"
"Yea yea that's cool. But are you a monster?" The gray pony asked.
"No silly! If I was a monster I would have sharp teeth and eyes that resemble Opal when she is mad." Lydia said.
"Not a monster you say? That's surprising, considering." The gray pony said.
"Considering?"
"Oh yes. Considering your dad is a monster." Lydia narrowed her eyes.
"Don't say that about my daddy!"
"Aww your precious daddy. I bet you're a daddy's girl." The gray pony said grinning. Lydia glared.
"I am NOT a daddy's girl! So you can just scooch away from me before I get ugly." Lydia said.
"Ugly? You can become uglier than what you are now?" The gray pony said.
"SHUT UP!" Lydia said, letting her anger give into her.

"SHUT UP!" Lydia yelled, letting herself give in to her anger. The gray pony frowned, then grinned again.
"Or else what, halfling?" The gray pony said.
"No stop! You don't know who you're messing with!" Starshine yelled.
"I think I know what I am doing." The gray filly said. "Cmon, halfling, teach me a lesson." Lydia was enraged, she didn't know how to deal with this, so she thought what would her father do. There was a flash and then a puddle of chocolate milk was beside the gray filly. "What good did that do?" The gray filly said.
She noticed that Lydia wasn't standing there anymore. "Where did she go?" The gray filly asked.
"Beside you!" The orange pony yelled. The gray pony turned and saw Lydia grinning.
"What's so funny?" The gray pony asked.
"This." Lydia then shoved her into the chocolate puddle. Everything was quiet. Nopony moved. Whispers began. The orange pony and Starshine stared wide eyed. Lydia stood there too, her hoof still in the air, outstretched in front of her. Did that really just happen? Did I just shove down another pony? Lydia thought.
The gray pony stood up to Lydia. "How DARE you be such a, how should i put it, a coccydynia!" She said. Everyone stared at the gray pony.
"A what?" Lydia asked. The gray pony sighed.
"How dare you be such a pain in the behind." She restated.
"Why am I the.....cocky dinner? You were the one insulting me!" Lydia argued.
"You were the one who pushed me in the puddle!" The pony yelled. This went on for quite a while until Mrs. Cheerilee came and asked what was going on.
"Mrs Cheerilee, that girl was calling me names." Lydia said. Mrs. Cheerilee stared at the gray pony.
"Autumn Mist, is this true?" Mrs. Cheerilee asked.
"No Mrs. Cheerilee, she started calling ME names and she pushed me into a puddle." Autumn said, with a misleading tear in her eye. Mrs. Cheerilee looked at Lydia. Starshine stepped in.
"Mrs. Cheerilee, Lydia's telling the truth!" Starshine said. The orange pony then came in.
"Mrs. Cheerilee, Lydia was calling Autumn names, then she pushed Autumn in a puddle. Look at Autumn! She's wet from the puddle!" She said. Starshine glared at her while she grinned.
"I'm sorry, Lydia, but I have to believe Autumn. She is drenched from a puddle, and from the looks of this she is hurt. I will have a word with your parents after school." Mrs. Cheerilee said. Lydia opened her mouth to protest, but no words came out. "Ok everyone, let's go back inside." As everyone left, Lydia sat there, motionless.
Starshine padded up beside her and put a comforting hoof on her shoulder. "It's ok Lydia, I will be here for you." She said. Lydia turned to her, and smiled. They went back inside.
Lydia waited outside the schoolhouse with Starshine as Mrs. Cheerilee talked to Discord and Fluttershy. "Starshine you don't have to be here. You can go on home." Lydia said.
"Nah I can't. My mom is gonna pick me up." Starshine said. "Besides, I can't leave my bestie hangin." They sat there for a while until the door opened and Discord walked out, along with Fluttershy. Lydia couldn't bring herself to look at them.
"Lydia..." Discord began. Lydia expected to get yelled at or something, but instead Discord picked her up and hugged her. "That was amazing! Incredible! I could never be more proud!" He yelled. Lydia giggled.
"Discord put her down." Fluttershy said. Discord looked at her, then Lydia, then Fluttershy again. Then he sat her down. Lydia stopped smiling as she met her mother's eyes. "Lydia, I heard some bad things about you in there." She began.
"But, mommy, she was being a....whatever she said earlier! She was making me mad so I pushed her into a chocolate puddle!" Lydia pleaded.
"That's my girl." Discord murmured silently.
"When we get back, i'll talk to you and your father." Discord looked at Fluttershy.
"What did I do? I was just....examining this beautifully fertilized soul, i mean, soil." Discord said with a nervous grin.
"Let's go on home." Fluttershy said. Discord crouched over to Lydia.
"We'll get her back later." He whispered to her. Lydia smiled slightly. She waved goodbye to Starshine and waited for her father to teleport them to the castle.

Hello all my dearest, nearest, clearest acquaintances! Sorry it took months to upload this chapter. School is really getting busy, especially since testing is coming 'round the corner. Anyhoo during my absence, people messaged me. A lot. They were mostly death threats (not) and some things about mustard. But i did get a few attention-snatching pms. If you haven't guessed, they where about renaming our protagonist, Lydia. Im not math genius but I can tell you that 80% of those messages about renaming wanted me to rename Lydia to Screwball. Others were stuff like Cherry Chaos and Cherry changa (which I prefer over Chimicherry, just sayin.) but yeah. People who didnt want Screwball made names with Cherry, or Grape, or something. Anyway I am thinking of renaming our protagonist. Lemme know if you want to change it, and if so, what you want it to change to. Or you could insist on leaving it the same. So, that's my news, hope you have a nice evening, or morning, or afternoon, or whatever your time is, and remember, eat RD's cookies and cream!
