Chapter 1
Darkness. That's all there is. It taunts me. It mocks me. I've been stuck in this prison for a week now, and the celebration of my defeat has finally ended. But I've been doing some thinking since I was put back in here. Not about revenge, mind you.
Perhaps I went too far. There, I said it. Are you happy? But it isn't just that. I had been too cocky. Too arrogant. I was certain that my position as ruler of Equestria had been secured when she had turned grey. But I was wrong. I truly had underestimated the "magic of friendship". I honestly did feel bad when she shed that tear and it formed into a broken heart, but I couldn't let my emotions get in the way of my conquest. I was too smart to allow that.
But I guess that could be debated now, because towards the end I let my arrogance get the better of me, and well, here I am, a garden decoration once more. Was this it? Had that been my last stand? I don't know, but being immortal has its perks, and eventually, I may be free once more. But it will be different. I'll plan ahead. They won't get the best of me again, I won't allow it. I had been too cocky to notice the bearers represented their elements once again, and it cost me. Big time.
What made her so special anyways? How had she so easily broken free of my influence. Nopony had ever succeeded at doing that until she did it. But I was too foolish to notice until it was far too late. So, once again, here I am. Trapped in stone. This sucks. I wish something would happen, but everypony is too scared to visit me. I can't really blame them. The last time my statue had been visited, I had broken free, so why would anypony want to risk that again?
But that's just it. If nopony visits me, then there's no risk of me breaking out again, problem solved. But that was when I heard a noise I hadn't heard in so long. Hoof-steps. Had somepony finally worked up the courage to face me, or is it just my mind playing tricks on me? I still couldn't see, though I could hear, and I was certain I heard somepony clearing their throat.
"I'm sorry."
Come again? I swear I recognize that voice.
"I'm so sorry, Discord..."
Yes, I'm certain now. It's the pony who defeated me so easily.
Twilight Sparkle.
I couldn't see it, but I was sure she had jumped as I said her name. But I'm unable to talk, so how could she have heard me?
Um, hello?
She hasn't responded yet, so maybe it was my imagination again. I still don't understand why she's here though. Why should she of all ponies be sorry? If anypony should be sorry, it should be me! I was the one who tried to take control of Equestria, and I paid for it.
"I thought the Elements would help you like they did with Luna. But this..."
So she was actually trying to help me the whole time?
"I didn't think they would turn you to stone again, honest."
I mentally scoffed at that. Her mentor had clearly told her what they would do, so I find it hard to believe she's truly sorry.
"The other girls didn't believe me when I said you could change."
Yeah? Well, neither do I.
"But I know you can if you put your mind to it. You truly are a mastermind."
Finally, somepony recognizes my brilliance!
"I'm so, so sorry."
Perhaps she truly was sorry. She had, after all, been taught by Celestia to forgive and forget, and to make friends wherever she could. But... no, I can't let her sway my mind with her lies.
"I don't know if you can actually hear me, but if you can, I would understand if you hate me."
This is shocking. First, she throws me back in my prison, and tries to act like it was an accident. Now she says she's understanding of me. I know what this is. She's trying to weaken me. Trying to butter me up, and then when I think she's chummy with me, she'll stab me in the back. Just like that grim mentor of hers.
"But, I thought I'd do something to prove to you that I'm sorry."
I still couldn't see, but she was clearly putting something on my eye. I heard a noise, and then...
Light!
What exactly is she doing though? I can feel something whacking against my other eye now, and I strain to open them both. As soon as they open, I'm assaulted by the brightness of Celestia's sun. It's almost too bright, but I leave my eyes open, and eventually they adjust to the new setting. Looking around, I take in my surroundings. I'm still in my prison, but the stone over my eyes has been chipped away.
My eyes finally catch sight of her. The little lavender pony is still as cute as ever. I try to call out to her, but remember that I still couldn't talk. I look at her with pleading eyes, and I can swear I see tears forming in those big, purple eyes.
She started to break down upon seeing me gaze at her, and let out little laughs of joy.
"Oh, I'm so happy to see you're okay, Discord!"
Why? Why was Twilight so enamored with helping me all of a sudden. I took her friends from her, turned her against herself, and yet she wanted to help me feel better? I had made her life miserable, even if it had been for a short time, yet she was hell-bent on making me feel better.
As she looks up at me and lets out little sobs of joy, I can't help but feel happy myself. After so long, somepony had finally shown me some compassion in an otherwise cruel world.
But I was still skeptical about the whole thing, and let her know it by glaring down at her. She quickly caught on and cleared her throat once more.
"I'm sure you don't want me taking up your vision, so I'll leave you be..."
As the lavender pony picks up her tools and starts to walk away, I can't help but feel angry. I'm certain there's something fishy going on here. But still, it's nice to be able to see again.
As she finally exits my vision, I let out a mental sigh, not sure how I should be feeling right now.

Chapter 2
It's been a few days since Twilight visited me and returned my sight. I almost escaped yesterday. An old married couple had been arguing over orange juice of all things, and right in front of me. While I agree with the stallion's stance that pulp free orange juice is better, that was a pretty stupid argument. Obviously, I didn't care though. All that mattered was that I was going to be free, but nope, destiny had other plans, and Celestia had shown up and basically told the two to sod off and stop acting like foals.
Then, no more than ten minutes afterwards, two guards had been walking by me when one mentioned that he had been promoted. It sparked a huge fight between the two, and my seal actually cracked a little. But alas, Celestia heard it and came back. She noticed the crack in my seal and berated the two for arguing in front of me, telling them that hell would break lose if they kept fighting. It was quite funny actually, seeing Celestia yell at her guards, and seeing them cower away in fear of being burned to a crisp.
After that nonsense had been taken care of, she had noticed my eyes were free. And do you know what she did? She poked them! What a complete jerk! I remember the rather one-sided conversation we had had.
"I see your eyes are free."
No, really?
"I'm honestly sorry, Discord."
Oh great, another pony lying about feeling bad for me.
"I'm not sorry you lost. I'm sorry you got turned back into this."
I'm not even going to pretend I heard that. In fact, I'm going to sing.
Uptown mare! She's been living in her uptown world!
I'll bet she never had a back-street colt! I bet her mama never told her why!
"I hear my student visited you a couple days ago."
Hmm, this is interesting. Maybe enough to make me stop singing.
"If she had something to do with your eyes being freed, it wouldn't surprise me."
Oh really? And why's that? You finally realize how defiant she is?
"She's been depressed over your condition for the entire week."
Wait, really?
"Nopony can snap her out of it. But she's scared to tell anypony else why she's sad."
I can't really blame her. Tell the town you feel bad for a villain. Go ahead, see how well that works out for you.
"I keep trying to tell her nopony will care, but she's too caught up in trying to help you to listen."
Once again, I can't blame her. I am quite the sight, so it is hard to focus on anything other than myself.
"She seems adamant that you can change, but I'm not too sure just yet."
I'm right there with you sister.
"I've considered freeing you myself, but if you truly change, your prison should break on its own."
We went over this over a thousand years ago Celestia, it's quite boring.
"But... you did change a little bit."
Huh? Come again?
"Your chaos was nowhere near as bad as it had been so many years ago."
Because I wanted you to have fun. But I guess the joke's on me, huh?
"I remember when it used to be frightening lightning, not chocolate rain. And when it was lava roads, not soap."
Well, I can't have too much fun if everypony is dead, can I?
"You did change Discord, just not enough."
I don't know how to respond to that...
"I'm not saying you have to give up chaos. Just... control it better, if you will."
No, I will not. Chaos is the lack of control, don't you knuckleheads get it?
"I know, I know, chaos and control are two different things, but hear me out."
Well what else can I do? Walk away perhaps?
"No matter how orderly things are, something is bound to go wrong at some point, and no matter how chaotic things are, something is bound to go right."
That may be true, but I'm the embodiment of chaos. I can't let order into my life, can I?
"I need to go, but there's one more thing I need to say."
Just hurry up and get out of my face, would you?
"I can see it in your eyes, Discord. You have feelings for Twilight. Not romantic, mind you, but you grew attached to her when you were spreading chaos, I can tell."
What?! How dare you! I do not have any compassion for that mare!
Celestia had flown off after that, presumably back to the throne room, but I can't be sure.
But she got me thinking. Maybe I do care for that little lavender pony, however corny it sounds. Even if she did put be back in here, Celestia did make her out to be hell-bent on saving me from the doomed existence that was being a garden decoration. And I have to admit, when she freed my eyes a few days ago, I felt bad for how I had doubted her so readily. I still don't fully trust either of them though. This could all be a plot to get on my good side and use me for their own purposes.
Then they'll probably stone me again and throw me in a dumpster somewhere in the lower-class part of Manehattan. No thank you, I'd rather stay in a place that at least smells nice. And where homeless ponies don't go to the bathroom. Yeah, I'd much rather stay here, the place I've called home for almost all of my life. It's kind of depressing when I think about it, but I may be stuck here for all of eternity, with nothing to look at but the other statues, and the grass.
But... no, I'm not going to change my mind so quickly. They'd better give me some hardcore evidence that they want me back, or I'll never believe them. I don't say this to be cruel, or because I hate them. But they've literally made my life as boring as it can possibly be, and that's unbearable for somepony like me.
But I digress. It's getting late, so I better try to go to sleep. Good night me.

Chapter 3
I woke up no more than five minutes ago, and you know what I hear?
"Oh good, you're up. It's... nice to see you again, Discord. At least, I think it is."
This wasn't Twilight, nor was it Celestia. It was the bearer of generosity, Rarity. What could she possibly gain from seeing me?
"Everypony is wondering why Twilight has been down in the dumps lately, but I know better."
Oh, do you? Well please, enlighten me then.
"She obviously feels bad for you. She thinks you can change for the better, and while I can't say that I feel the same way..."
What? Just spit it out.
"I don't want her to stay like this. So I've come with a question for you to mull over."
Shoot.
"Are you truly unable to change, or do you just not want to?"
My eyebrows raise at that, but there she goes, leaving me alone once again.
And how dare she ask me to mull over a question! I'll ask myself that question when I'm ready, not when some froufrou pony asks me to.
Then again, I have time, so why not?
Am I truly unable to change, or am I just trying to convince myself that I can't?
I can't change. End of discussion.
But what about what Celestia said? Am I actually showing some sort of sentiment towards Twilight? It isn't too far fetched, seeing as how me and Celestia used to agree on so many things, and Twilight is just like her mentor. Level headed, a conventional thinker, never thinking outside the box, even when it would work better.
I can't really blame her for that. The last time Celestia thought outside of the box to try and help her sister, it only made matters worse. We all know what I'm talking about! Oh right... no audience...
But let's get back to the subject. Am I actually feeling empathetic towards Twilight Sparkle? Maybe. I mean, she did give me my sight back, so I can't be too mad at her. But still, if it wasn't for her hard-headed personality, I would be the ruler right now.
But what's that? It looks like somepony is coming to see me again!
Oh, it's just her...
"Hey Discord, how are you?"
Does she really expect me to answer that?
"I know that you probably still hate me."
You're wrong. I'm quite fond of you actually.
"But just hear me out."
Okay, I guess, I can-
Wait, what did I just say?! I'm fond of her?! Oh for the love of all that is chaotic, I feel sympathy for the little mare!
"Actually, by the look in your eyes, you seem less angry at me than you did a few days ago."
CURSE YOU EYES!
Wait, what's that pressure on my waist? I look down, and what I see makes me want to blow chunks.
OH GA-A-AG! STOP HUGGING ME!
"I really am sorry Discord, and if words can't prove it, I'll do something to help you see how I feel."
Wait, what is she doing? Get your horn away from me! She's trying to skewer me! I knew it!
Wait... what's this, a memory?
"Girls, we may not need the Elements of Harmony. Maybe we can reason with him."
"Please Twilight, that jerk insulted the princess. Nopony does that and gets away with it!"
"Yes darling, he needs to be turned back to stone, now let's hurry up. This dirt is chafing my hooves."
"W-we have to go in there...?"
"Nope! Dopey Discord forgot about these babies!"
"I'll just do a quick fly-over and we'll have the elements in no time."
At that moment, I could tell Twilight looked unsure. Of what, I can't say, but she looked unsure for sure, if that makes sense.
'I know the others won't stand by me, but I feel bad for him. Living your life out in stone can't be fun...'
Suddenly, I see myself appear, do my trademark laugh, and the flashback ends.
So she felt bad for me this whole time? Now I feel bad! But still, I'd need to change to break free, and that's not happening.
"I know you can change, Discord. Anypony can change if they put their mind to it."
Bit of a problem there Twi. I'm not a pony. I'm just a very good looking Draconequus.
"I'll leave you be for now. See you tomorrow, Discord."
I watch as she leaves, and can't help but feel that she may be right. No, I need to get that thought out of my head. I'll never change. Celestia and her sister changed me into what I am now, and there's no going back.
Sighing, I close my eyes once again, but I'm interrupted from my sleep a few minutes later by a noise assaulting my ears.
"No sister! I do not want Twilight and her friends entering this garden ever again!"
"Luna, think about what you're saying."
"I am, Celestia, and I am officially forbidding everypony from entering these gardens until we find a way to keep Discord imprisoned forever!"
"Do you really think you can override my decisions, Luna?"
"Don't you spout that crap at me, Celestia. I am just as royal as you are!"
"Well recently you've been a royal pain!"
Wait, what was that noise?
I focus my attention on the noise, and can finally tell what it is.
I'm cracking! Yes, keep fighting you two!
"A royal pain?! How dare you, Celestia!"
"Well you have! You've been disagreeing with everything I've said!"
"Because you used to do the same to me! And we both know where that went!"
"Are you saying you want me to succumb to the Nightmare?!"
"No! All I'm saying is I should get a say for once!"
"Luna, we've been over this! I get the day court, and you get the night court, that's how it's always been!"
"Well I think it's time for a change!"
Finally, the seal is broken!
I let out my trademark laugh, and the royal sisters freeze in fear before turning to my statue.
"I think it's time for a change too..."
The statue I'm in shatters, and Luna actually faints.
"Hello Celestia. I'll ask you one more time. Did you miss me?"

"Yes..."
"Yes what, Celestia?"
"Yes Discord, I missed you..."
It makes me happy to see that even after all these years, she still wants to try and help me.
"Princess, can I ask you something?"
I watch as her eyes go wide and she suddenly, without warning, pulls me into a hug.
"OH GA-A-AG! WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?!"
"It's been so long since you last called me that..."
I roll my eyes at her silly statement.
"Celestia, the last time I called you princess, I was being sarcastic since I had overthrown you."
"And then Luna and I turned you to stone, if I recall correctly."
"So Celestia, are you ready?"
"Ready for what?"
Listen Here
I watch as Celestia gives me a strange look before snapping my talons, loving the feeling of being able to do so again. Music is heard from all around, and it reverberates all the way to Ponyville, so that the bearers can hear.
"H-how are you doing that? Where is this music coming from?"
"From the heart, my dear Celestia."
I could feel despair all across Canterlot and Ponyville as I spoke, remembering that they could hear my voice.
"So now..."
"Don't tell me you're going to-"
I cut her off and begin to sing the tune I had been singing when she had first imprisoned me.
What cause have I to feel glad?
"He's not..."
Ah, so Luna has woken up finally. Nice to know.
I've built my life on judgement and causing pain.
"He is, Luna..."
I don't know those eyes I see in the bloodstained chrome.
"How is he even doing that with his voice? It's so... distorted."
Now everything that I've had
"I don't know, but we may as well let it run its course..."
and everything I've known have been thrown away.
And with time I've come to find this isn't my home.
I've stroked the fire, seen more pain than you can know.
The tears of the broken have washed away my soul.
Pushed by desire to change the way my stream will flow,
now I've awoken, and I'm taking back control.
I tried my best to block out the screams,
but they're haunting me in my dreams.
Please break my shackles,
I want it to stop.
I reach into my bag of tricks and listen in on the bearers as they hear my song all the way in Ponyville.
"Twilight, is that Discord?"
"Yes, Pinkie, but I still don't get why he's singing like this."
I let out a chuckle and let them know that I've heard them by giving a reply.
"Because, my dear Twilight, what better way for a chaotic mastermind to get his point across?"
Before I can hear them reply, I cut off the connection and go back to the song at hoof.
I man these wretched machines.
Day in, day out, the grinding wears on my brain.
Undermining my sanity, making me question my reality.
But life is not as it seems.
Should I take a chance of freedom and throw it all down the drain?
I've been imprisoned, please burn my transgressions away.
I've stroked the fire, seen more pain than you can know.

I decide to re-establish the connection with the bearers and see what they're thinking of my song.
"Twilight, I never knew he could sing this well."
"Well, remember, his statue used to be in a pose like he was singing, so maybe Celestia and Luna caught him off guard during a song session."
I chuckle, causing them all to seize up, and even though they can't see it, I nod my head.
"Ding ding ding, we have a winner! Your princess didn't beat me in an epic battle like she claimed. She just caught me with my back turned. The coward..."
I start to hear Twilight defend her mentor, so now is as good a time as ever to leave that conversation.

I'm sick of hurting, sick of thinking it's all I do.
I break those around me, those spared are very few.

Friendships surround me, I'm becoming a part of you.
I notice Celestia and Luna smile at that part, and I can't help but smile as well.
I tried my best to block out the screams,
but they're haunting me in my dreams.

Before either of the royal sisters can say anything, I snap my talons, and I'm off to Ponyville to talk to a certain lavender mare.
As soon as I reappear, I notice seven sets of eyes laid upon me.
"Uh... hi?"
"Discord, what do you want, you... you jerk!"
"Why Rarity, that's no way for a lady to talk, is it?"
I chuckle as she lowers her head at that, but I'm still wary of six other sets of eyes staring at me intently.
I let out a nervous chuckle as I point at Twilight Sparkle.
"I'm actually just here to talk to her..."
"We aren't leaving, so whatever you have to say, you can say it in front of all of us."
Ah, Rainbow Dash, just as arrogant as ever...
I let out a sigh, but understand nothing I say will get them to leave.
"I just want to say that since you've put so much into giving me a chance, I'll give myself a chance as well."
I notice her perk up at this, and it makes me let out a light chuckle.
"You mean...?"
"Yes, Twilight Sparkle, I will try to give up chaos."
Everyone cheers at that, and I smile before hugging the mare, surprising everyone, but I give them an incredulous look before defending myself.
"What? She hugged me while I was in stone, so it's only fair I return the favor."
"YOU KNOW WHAT THIS CALLS FOR?!"

Chapter 5
"Do I really have to study with you, Twilight?"
I had chosen to live with Twilight earlier today, and it turns out that was a mistake, because I had to... study. Seriously, I shudder just thinking of the word!
"Yes Discord, now stop moping and grab a book that interests you."
It's probably best I don't argue with her, so I fly over to a nearby bookshelf and grab the first book I see.
"Estrus Maximus: Everything You Need To Know About A Mare and Her Sexual Urges."
As soon as I read the title, Twilight gives me a horrified look, but I chuckle and open it up.
"Hey, don't read that!"
"You said whatever book interested me!"
"Well not that one!"
I let out a sigh of defeat and close the book. Wait, why am I being so nice about this? Confound my sympathy for this little mare! Flying back to the shelf, I place the book back in its spot before looking for a new one.
"So as long as it isn't that one, I can read it?"
"Yes Discord, now please hurry."
I let out a mischievous laugh before grabbing a nearby book and reading off the title.
"Twilight Sparkle's Personal Diary!"
This time, she blushes, and realizes she had used the wrong wording when berating my choice of literature, but eventually, she just turns her nose up like she doesn't care.
"You know what? I don't care, go ahead and read it, most of it is about you anyways."
I don't even respond and immediately open the diary up to a random page and start to read aloud.
"Dear diary, today, I caught Spike mas-"
"Okay, I'm sorry, please stop reading that!"
"You saw me doing that?!"
Twilight and I both turn around to see Spike blushing furiously, so I decide to have some fun.
"I didn't say anything to him because I was scared, but I know he wasn't thinking about me. I'm just too ugly for a stallion to like."
As I finish reading that line, I notice Twilight beginning to cry, and realizing it's my fault, I fly over and wrap her in a hug.
"Twilight Sparkle! How can you think such things about yourself?"
"It's true, Discord. I'm an ugly pony who nopony would ever want to date."
"It most certainly is not true! You know the first thing I thought when you freed my eyes?"
"W-what?"
"I thought to myself, she's just as cute as ever."
She stops crying suddenly and looks up at me with those big, purple eyes of hers.
"R-really?"
"Yes, but don't get any funny ideas about kissing me or anything."
"As if!"
Okay, I see how it is...
"Oh, that's okay, nerds don't suit me anyways."
"Hey!"
I'm having a lot of fun teasing this mare, so I may have to see what her limit is.
"Say Twilight, I want to renege on what I said."
I see her turn her head towards me in confusion, and I can't wait to say what I'm about to.
"Renege on what?"
"Would you like to go on a date sometime?"
I watch as she puts her hoof to her chin in thought, and I decide it would be best to reassure her.
"I assure you, it is only as friends, nothing more."
I lower my head in disappointment as I hear her sigh, thinking she's going to say no.
"Alright, but just as friends."
"Really? Oh man, I need a suit!"
Twilight and I turn around at a giggling noise to see Rarity. She must have come back to the library while I was asking Twilight.
"So, you two are going on a date? My my, Twilight, I didn't think you thought of Discord like that."
I start laughing my flank off as Twilight burns a bright red and tries to defend herself, but all that comes out are stutters.
"I guess I'll take it into my own assorted appendages to defend Twilight, seeing as how she can't. No Rarity, I simply asked her to go as friends to prove she is not as ugly as she says."
I laugh once again as Rarity lets out a gasp and starts berating Twilight, telling her how pretty she is, and that a trip to the spa is what she needs. But I stop laughing when I hear a throat clearing, and looking up, I see Rarity glaring down at me.
"This is no laughing matter Discord, and I'm making you a suit."
Instead of responding to the fashionista, I decide to bring up Pinkie Pie's party from earlier.
"So that Pinkie Pie sure knows how to party. Even better than I did back in the day."
"Yeah, she is pretty good at partying."
"Not only that Twilight, but she somehow got everypony to like me. Me! "
"Discord, nopony ever hated you, they just didn't agree with your ideals."
"Twilight, has your mentor blinded you so much that you couldn't see the hatred in their eyes?"
I let out a sigh, ready to explain my past to the little mare.
"Twilight, Rarity, would you two like to know more about my past?"
"Really? Oh, I need some scrolls if I'm going to take down notes!"
"No Twilight, no notes, okay?"
I chuckle as she lets out a sigh of disappointment, but hey, I can't have my name slandered if I'm trying to change.
"Okay, you've already dealt with my chaos, but back in the day, it was much worse."
"Worse than turning us against each other?"
"Yes Rarity, now both of you need to be quiet for this tale to have the desired effect."
"You aren't going to sing again, are you?"
I turn to Twilight and let out a few fake laughs, showing her that I'm not amused.
"Oh haha, now listen up, because this is the story of King Discord, and his tyrannical rule over Equestria. Of course, back then it was called the Chaos Continuum."

Chapter 6
I had just finished telling the two bearers who were present the story of my past, and needless to say, they were intrigued.
"So, you used to kill ponies for your own amusement?"
"Look Twilight, I'm not proud of it. Didn't you hear my song?"
"Yes Discord, we did, speaking of which, how did you do that thing with your voice?"
"A simple trick for someone such as myself, Rarity."
Both mares nod at my explanation, and I eagerly await their next question.
"What about the treaties? What if they had gone through?"
Odd. I hadn't expected Twilight to ask such a question, but I guess it was my duty to answer it for her.
"To answer your question Twilight, a lot of things would have changed! I can't go into detail though, but know this. Had it gone through, Celestia and Luna wouldn't be the rulers right now."
"Okay, I guess that's as good an answer as I'll get, but I have one last question."
"Ask away, Twilight."
I notice her beginning to blush as she tries to sputter out her question.
"Well, I was just wondering... what did you look like back then? When you were around our age?"
"By 'our age', I assume you mean you and Rarity?"
The lavender mare nods her head, and I let out a sigh before snapping my talons, changing my look entirely.
"This is what I looked like."
I was always fond of my look from over a thousand years ago, Black hair, no scruffy beard, and I was always well dressed.
"Discord, I had no idea you had such a sense of fashion!"
"Yes, well," I say as I snap my talons, turning myself back, "the Discord of then is dead."
"Oh, but you can't be serious!"
"Dead, Rarity."
I notice that she winces at the tone of my voice, and I start to feel bad.
"Sorry, it's just hard to bring up those memories, and I'd rather not live them out."
"I totally understand, one time Princess Celes-"
"Twilight, the grown ups are talking, why don't you kiss her flank some other time?"
Man, teasing this mare is just too much fun.
"You take that back!"
"No way, Twilight. You would do anything to please her, right?"
"Yes, but that's none of your business!"
"What did you just say?!"
I don't know why I'm getting so mad. All she's doing is defending her ruler, but still, she acts like I'm clueless about Celestia.
"I've known Celestia since before you were even a thought in this world, so I'd like it, no, I demand that you show me some form of respect!"
Both mares looks incredibly scared of me, and instead of trying to defend myself, I snap my talons and disappear from the room to go visit the princess in question. As I reappear, I see Celestia sitting at her desk, and to gain her attention, rap on the wooden door frame a few times. Turning towards me, she lets out a sigh.
"Yes, Discord? I'm incredibly busy right now."
"I won't take up too much of your time, but I felt the need to tell you something."
"With that being...?"
"Ouch! So impatient Celestia, fine. I'm going on a date with your student."
Oh crap, she looks pretty mad...
"Not romantic, mind you! But I actually came for some advice."
"I'm not going to help you seduce my student, Discord."
"Are you bucking kidding me, Celestia? I have no desire to have sex with your student! Do you even know how to listen?"
I wince as she lets out a sigh of frustration, scared of her wrath, having seen it enough times already.
"What is it then, Discord?"
"I was wondering what you do on dates."
"Have you never been on a date, Discord?"
Did she really ask that?
"Yeah, because I've had so much time to court mares..."
"Okay, look Discord, I'm not going to help you. You'll have to find out on your own like everypony else does."
I face-paw at this, but nod my head in understanding before snapping my talons, taking me back to the library.
"And where have you been, Discord?"
"I went to talk to Celestia."
"That's Princess Celestia..."
Wow, she looks really ticked off. Now's the perfect time to mess with her!
"Maybe to a lesser being such as yourself, but when you're someone like me, the most powerful being in existence, titles have no meaning."
"She beat you before, so I think that crushes that explanation."
My blood was starting to boil. Why, I couldn't say for sure, but I certainly was mad.
"She caught me with my back turned! Had she fought me legitimately, I would have crushed her with ease!"
"I can't believe you without proof, Discord."
"I will-! Wait..."
Oh, for the love of all that is chaotic, she's actually trolling me!
"I see what this is. Well done Twilight, you've succeeded, my jimmies are rustled."
Both mares giggle, and eventually it turns into full blown laughter, which I eventually join in on. After a few minutes though, the laughter finally starts to die down, and I wipe a few tears away from my eyes.
"I can't believe I've been trolled! Me !"
"What can I say Discord, I guess you've rubbed off on me."
"Au contraire, Twilight Sparkle, it is you who has rubbed off on me."
"What do you mean?"
"I... I might see the two of you as friends now..."
The two mares look shocked at this, but it's the truth.
"I can understand Twilight, but you see me as a friend as well?"
Ooh, I wonder how easy it is to flatter her...
"Yes, lady Rarity, how could I not befriend somepony as graceful as you?"
"Oh my, you're such a gentlecolt!"
"Nope, I'm actually quite the jerk, so don't get used to that."
Before she can respond, I turn to Twilight.
"Okay, I'm going to go with Rarity to get fitted for a suit, I'll be back later, alright?"
"Alright, go on Discord, and have fun !"
As Rarity and I walk out of the library, I contemplate what Twilight meant by that. Was it not going to be fun?

"Oh, dear Celestia, this is so boring !"
"Well you're going to have to deal with it for a few more minutes, Discord!"
I let out a bored sigh. Seriously, I'm bored to tears! Tears are coming out of my eyes!
"Please Rarity, let me go, I haven't done anything to you!"
I gulp as she grins and turns around to get some more gems.
"Well you did make me fall in love with a rock."
"Hey, that was hilarious, this is just... torture!"
Of course, she giggles at my whining. Well not really whining, more like complaining if anything, but that's besides the point.
"Rarity, if I may," I calmly stated, "WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG?!"
"Oh calm down, Discord! I'll have you know I work faster than most fashion ponies, so you're lucky it's me doing your suit and not somepony else."
"But it's just so boring !"
"Well then, you'll just have to learn how to relax once in a while."
"I'm pretty sure I know how to relax seeing as how I was immobilized for over a thousand years."
Once again, she giggles at what I consider to be torture. I really do need to learn how to sit back and relax while I'm free though.
"I understand Discord, but you're acting like a little foal about all this."
I let out a sigh because, well, she's right...
"Look, I know you're nervous about your date with Twilight, seeing as how you like her, but-"
"Whoa! I like her? When did that happen? I want it to go well, but only because she deserves something nice after what I put her through."
"Stand up please."
I do so and wait for the white mare to continue.
"Discord, I can see it in your eyes. You simply adore her!"
"Do not!"
Funnily enough, we both let out sighs at the exact same time, but obviously for different reasons.
"Discord, I'll drop it if you wear a bow tie."
"A bow tie?! No way, I'd rather go back in my prison!"
"Ugh, then at least STAND STILL SO I CAN MEASURE YOU!"
Oh Celestia, I feel frightened all of a sudden. Perhaps it's best not to upset her when it comes to making clothes...
"Alright, fine."
I'm trying my best to stay still, but the boring atmosphere is like an itch that I need to get at.
"There!"
"R-really? You're done?"
"Yes, but I need you to stay so I can get your opinions on the clothes."
"So if I hadn't been fidgeting for the past two hours, I might be gone by now..."
"Precisely, but it was simply too much fun to see you freaking out over nothing."
"Oh my... twice! I've been trolled twice today!"
"Well maybe it will get you to calm down. You need to be on your best behavior tonight!"
"Rarity, I already know that, and I will be, but still, how have I been trolled twice ?!"
"Simple. By giving up chaos, you've made yourself an easy target for us."
"Ugh, you're just lucky I haven't turned the lot of you into an assortment of fruits and vegetables."
Odd, she's giggling. Maybe she finds the idea funny? Well I already have an idea on who I'll do it to, since I know it'll entertain her.
"Say Rarity, what do you think of Prince Blueblood?"
She doesn't even need to say anything, I can already see it in her eyes. She despises him.
"That's what I thought. I was wondering, how would you like it if I turned him into a lamp shade? Or perhaps a peacock?"
As I say this, Rarity bursts out laughing and I join in after a moment, happy I've finally gotten some full blown laughter out of her.
"Rarity, may I say, it is surprisingly fun to converse with somepony such as you."
"Why thank you Discord. It means a lot that somepony thinks I'm worth talking to."
"The fact that you say it like that makes me think you don't have many friends outside of the bearers, correct?"
Sadly enough, she nods at my question, and I can't help but feel horrible for having asked it.
"Well I hope that you can see me as a friend as well Rarity. You're surprisingly the most complex pony I've ever met."
"What ever do you mean darling?"
"Well, you can be generous at times, but you've let it be your downfall before. Need I remind you of the gala dresses?"
She lets out a gasp as I bring that up, and I think I know why.
"Don't ever mention those monstrosities!"
"Yes, well what I'm trying to say is that you're very lady-like, but at the same time, you would get dirty to help your friends, which is more than can be said for those high society snobs up in Canterlot..."
"Thank you Discord. That means a lot to me, especially coming from somepony who used to be my enemy."
"Well I'm trying to put that behind me now. Also, can I take a look at the suits now?"
"Yes," she says while pulling out three different mannequins styled to fit my physique, "here they are."
"Before I look, how did you manage to get them done so fast? I meant to look at the designs, if anything."
"Oh Discord, you act as if it was a challenge!"
"Right, I forgot who I'm talking to, but I guess I'll take a look now."
Okay, I'm going to have to examine each one carefully.
The first one is white, which I like as a suit color, but the interior is red, as are the shoes, and I've always liked blue better, which brings me to the second suit. It's dark blue, with a black and white interior and black shoes. But it doesn't scream 'chaotic mastermind'. The last one is brown, with a red interior and red shoes, and I can't help but feel this might be the one.
"I'm thinking the brown one, but I also like the blue one..."
"Well, I for one think the brown would suit you better. The brown matches your fur color and the red brings out your eyes."
Well, she is the fashionista, so she would know best.
"Yeah, I think I'll take the brown one."
"Excellent choice darling. Would you like to try it on?"
Instead of responding, I snap my talons and the suit appears on me. Looking in her mirror, I find myself surprisingly dashing.
"Yeah, this is definitely the one. But I don't have any bits to pay for it..."
"Oh please Discord, this is for a good friend, now go on and get back to the library."
I nod my head, snap my talons, thereby removing the suit, and decide to maybe take in some of the scenery. So instead of teleporting out, I open the door and walk my way back to the library, whistling all the way.

"Discord, I can't believe you did that on our date!"
"Hey, the waiter was asking for it!"
"Even so, you didn't need to turn him into a goose!"
Oh man, how everything had gone wrong so suddenly. The date had been going well, but then the waiter brought in our food. Now, of course, I decided to play around with it, and what do I find?
"Twilight, he spit in our food for no reason!"
It was true. We had done nothing wrong, but I guess he just didn't like me if anything. Still, it was pretty funny when I called him back over Twilight's protests.
"Look, Discord, I know, and that was incredibly rude of him, but you promised to give up chaos for me!"
She's right. Of course she's right.
"Okay okay, you're right, I'm sorry, but I just got so upset at him for ruining our date like that."
"Why though? You already said you don't hold any romantic feelings for me, so why get so upset over it?"
Why get upset over it? I've asked myself that question a lot lately. But at least I know the answer for this one.
"Twilight, sit down, I think it's time I tell you a little story."
The lavender mare does so, and I sit down on the couch directly to her right. Rubbing her back, I begin the story.
"Twilight, do you remember what I did when I was last free?"
"You turned me and my friends against each other."
"Precisely," I state as I continue rubbing her back, "but who did I hurt the worst out of you girls?"
"I guess me, but I still don't get what this has to do with anything."
"Twilight," I hesitantly stated, not believing I was about to admit this, "when you turned grey, and you shed that tear..."
"What, Discord?"
"It, it tore me up inside, Twilight. I felt horrible, but I was so close to victory that I ignored it."
"Why?"
I didn't expect her to ask that, but I may as well answer it...
"Because Twilight, back in the day, there was another mare like you, and you know what's funny?"
"What?"
I let out a chuckle, because the irony of this is just too good.
"She ended up getting the better of me eventually as well."
Twilight doesn't say anything, so I continue.
"And her name was Celestia."
I notice Twilight's eyes go wide at the mention of her mentor, and I can't help but understand why.
"You just remind me so much of her back in the day Twilight, it's not even funny."
"But, I still don't get it, why feel bad for me? You hated her back then, and if I'm a lot like she was, then why not hate me as well?"
That's true. I had never given it thought, but maybe there was more to it. Wait... crap, okay, just act like there's another reason.
"Because Twilight, you actually thought I had the chance to change, which is more than can be said about your mentor."
Maybe I should tell her...
"Twilight, remember earlier when I told you and Rarity about my first reign of terror?"
"Yeah, why?" she asks before letting out a gasp, "Can I take notes on it now?!"
"No Twilight, but there's something I didn't mention..."
I notice her eyes go wide, and I'm wondering if she finally gets it.
"I think I know what you're getting at, but care to elaborate?"
"Before I ruled," I state with a tinge of pain in my voice, "I dated Celestia."
Twilight smiles, so I guess that's what she had been thinking, but this is anything but a good story.
"But her parents frowned upon our relationship, and as such, convinced her that I was evil."
"Why would they do that?"
"Because us Draconequi had the tendency to be pretty messed up back in the day. At that point I was already the last one, but they didn't care, and convinced everypony in Equestria that I was nothing but a monster."
"That's awful, Discord..."
What's this? Looking up, I notice that she's now rubbing my back to comfort me.
"Yes, well... Celestia told me to get lost. I've long since forgiven her, but her parents were officially on my list at that point."
"Discord?" I don't respond to her query and her voice starts to sound concerned. "Discord, what did you do?"
"I sneaked back into the kingdom one day, bent on revenge, and I..."
"What did you do?!"
"I killed them, Twilight..."
"You... killed them?"
"Yes, and right in front of their daughters too. That was the day I started my tyrannical rule, and until today, I never gave myself the chance to go back to the way things were."
"Discord..."
I look down and see tears coming out of Twilight's eyes, and I can't help but feel ashamed of myself.
"Why are you telling me this, Discord? Why now?"
"I guess I feel like I can trust you Twilight."
Has my trust been misplaced? Is she going to tell everypony that I'm a cold-blooded killer?
"I can't say I agree with what you did Discord, but I agree with why you did it."
"R-really?"
"Yeah, I mean I've never known betrayal like that, so I can't even fathom what you must have felt."
"That... that actually means a lot to me Twilight, but it's getting late, and I really need to get some sleep."
"What," she says while grinning, "a thousand years not enough?"
"Oh haha, now if you'll excuse me, I need to get my beauty sleep."
Grinning, I make my way upstairs and into the guest room, which was designated as mine earlier in the day. A thought was swimming around in my head at the moment though. A thought about a certain lavender mare. A thought that I couldn't get out of my head. A thought that had been bothering me all night. A thought that I'm not sure if I should act on.

Chapter 9
No, that can't be it. And even if that is it, I'm not going to act on it, because it just isn't logical. But then again, is anything I do logical? I am the spirit of chaos and disharmony, so being illogical perfectly suits me. But... no, I'm giving up chaos and this would be a form of it. Besides, it would be really weird. I mean seriously, I'm like five times her size, I look ancient, and I have way too manly of a voice for her to handle. Most of all though, why am I so obsessed with this? I mean seriously, I woke up a few minutes ago and this is all I can think about?
"Discord, are you still awake?"
Looking towards the doorway, I rub my eyes and am able to make out the form standing there.
"Twilight?"
Turning towards the window and peering out, I ascertain that it's at least two in the morning, so what is she still doing up? Maybe she's having a long night as well.
"Oh, you are awake, listen, can I um..."
I can barely hear her as her voice trails off. Darn, why couldn't I have been given dog ears instead of these dumb pony ones?
"You need to speak up, Twilight..."
Celestia, even I'm having trouble talking. So... tired...
"C-can I come in?"
I pat the bed, letting her know she's welcome and she obliges, jumping onto the bed and snuggling up against me.
"What's wrong, Twilight?"
"N-nothing is wrong, I just wanted to talk."
"Twilight," I say while pointing at where she's hugging my abdomen, "Ponies don't cuddle for comfort when all they want to do is talk."
"Nothing is wrong, Discord."
She's obviously forcing her answers, and something is bothering her.
Taking a closer look at the mare, I notice something shocking.
"Twilight Sparkle, have you been crying?"
"N-no, it's just really... bright," she says as if I'll actually believe her, "yeah, that's it, it's really bright outside!"
"Twilight, it's night time, so why don't you pony up and tell the truth."
She lets out a sigh, and I'm hopeful she'll finally tell me what's bugging her.
"F-fine, something is bothering me..."
I smile, happy she's finally being truthful, before asking, "May I ask what that something is?"
"I-it's nothing important..."
"Come on, back to the lying Twilight, really?"
"Why do you have to be so smart..."
I let out a few chuckles at that, but now is the time to be serious, as she's obviously in need of comfort.
"Twilight, just tell me what's wrong," I say, but after a few seconds of her not talking, I decide to ask nicely, "please?"
"A-alright..."
I watch as she fidgets around and plays with her hooves for a few seconds, and I'm starting to grow impatient.
"Any time now."
"Fine," She states with a tinge of pain in her voice, "I... had a dream..."
"Am I to assume it was a bad one?"
She slowly nods her head before burying her face into my side and crying into it. Dear Celestia, what could have happened in her dream? She's literally shaking in fear!
"Twilight," I say as I lift her head to face mine, "What happened?"
"Do you promise not to get mad?"
"Twilight, how could I get mad at you when you're in such a sad state?"
She actually forms a small smile, and I return it with my own, but I'm still waiting for her to tell me what happened in the dream.
"Equestria to Twilight, what happened?" I say as I wave my paw in front of her.
She seemingly snaps out of the stupor she was in and shakes her head.
"I-in the dream, you and I were talking."
"That's it? A conversation has you this scared?"
I watch as she nods her head and I let out a frustrated sigh.
"Well, what kind of conversation was it?"
An audible gulp comes from Twilight, so it must have been anything but a pleasant one.
"You said you were going to..."
Once again, I really need dog ears if she's going to keep trailing off like this.
"Twilight, honestly, you need to learn how to speak up and stop being so nervous when talking about your feelings."
She lets out a sigh, and it seems like she's really scared to tell me.
"You said you were going to kill me and all my friends..."
Did I hear that correctly?
"I said I was going to kill you and your friends?"
I watch sadly as she nods her head, and a few more tears run down her cheeks, the poor mare...
Hugging her closer to me, I lean down and whisper into her ear, "Twilight, I've long since stopped doing... that."
"It wasn't that Discord..."
"Twilight, if me saying I was going to do... that to you girls isn't what's making you upset, then what is?"
I watch as she tries to choke out her reason, but she isn't getting anywhere, so I might need to give her a jump-start, so to speak.
"Twilight, you can tell me, don't worry, I won't think any less of you."
She nods her head and looking up, gives me a small smile.
"Like I said, it wasn't what you said that has me so upset. It's what you did..."
"I assume I went through with it?"
She shakes her head, which surprises me.
"So what did I do then?"
She gives me one of the saddest faces I've ever seen before choking out her answer.
"You left me..."
My mind is officially blown. So she's sad because in the dream, I... left her?
"Twilight, I don't understand," I say, and as I do, she looks up at me, threatening to cry again, "we've only really known each other for about a day, so why does it have you so upset?"
"Because you listen to what I have to say, you care about my feelings, and you even comforted me after reading that entry in my diary..."
"Twilight, you just mentioned everything a good friend is supposed to do."
She doesn't say anything in response, and it gets me thinking.
"Twilight, do your friends not care about your feelings?"
She shakes her head, and I feel bad all of a sudden. I shouldn't, since I've done nothing wrong, but I did just ask that...
"It isn't that they don't care about my feelings, it's just that..."
"What, Twilight? You can tell me."
She actually starts to cry a little more and hugs me even tighter than before.
"D-during your s-song, when I t-told them how bad I f-felt for you, th-they told me I was being s-stupid..."
"Twilight, look at me," I say, and as she does I continue, "you're anything but stupid."
I wince a little as she hugs me even closer. Seriously, she's lucky she isn't hugging my chest, because if she was, I wouldn't be able to breathe.
"Discord, can I sleep here tonight?"
I should take a second to think about this. Would it be considered inappropriate? Because I sure as hay don't want to live life out on the moon. But then again, she is so pathetically sad that I would feel absolutely horrible if I turned her away.
"Oh hay, alright, but I'm going back to sleep right now, and you should as well."
"Thanks, Discord."
"No problem, Twilight. After all, I am a guest in your home."
I'm about to close my eyes when I notice her leaning up a bit, and to my shock, she kisses me on the cheek before closing her eyes and drifting off. Normally I would be disgusted by such a gesture, but from her ?
It means a lot...

It had been a few hours since Twilight and I had woken up, and it had been quite the embarrassing ordeal. She had refused to speak to me at all, but it was okay, because I had just picked up some cupcakes for her and Spike, and I was currently on my way back to the library. But I'm starting to notice something. Everypony is giving me odd looks, and not the good odd either. I shrug it off though, since I've yet to gain everypony's trust.
Ah, the library is within view now, so not much longer until we get to chow down on these babies. But as I reach the front door, I hear a commotion and place my ear against it, so as to listen in.
"Just wait until he gets back Twilight, you'll see that me and Pinkie are right about him!"
Right about what? Oh well, I say the more the merrier!
Opening the door, I pay little attention to everypony and shut it back before heading into the kitchen, whistling a joyful tune the whole way. But I start to feel eyes staring at the back of my head, and turning around, my suspicions are correct. Everypony is staring at me. And there's even a surprise guest that I hadn't noticed.
"Oh, what brings you here, Celestia?"
"Twilight has informed me of the progress you've made, and in just one day! I'm very impressed!"
"Really? Impressed with... me?"
"Yes, Discord. She told me about last night and how much sympathy you showed her."
I think I'm blushing. Man, when was the last time I blushed?
"What about those two," I say while pointing a talon in the direction of Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, "I overheard them saying they were... right about me?"
"Hay yeah you did! Me and Pinkie were just saying you would make an awesome prankster!"
"Oh, okay, I thought you were saying I was evil or something silly like that."
"Why would we say that? You've been nothing but awesome towards Twilight since you came back, and even Rarity likes you now!"
"I'm sorry, it's just... I'm scared of that stone prison, you know?"
I smile as Rainbow Dash nods her head.
"Hey, don't sweat it, I understand. A thousand years in one spot would make me go insane!"
I smile and nod my head, but I start to feel a tugging on my abdomen, and looking down, notice that Twilight is trying to get my attention.
"Yes Twilight?"
"I was just wondering if..."
"If what?"
The lavender pony goes red in the face, causing me to chuckle.
"It's... kind of embarrassing."
"Then ask me after everypony else leaves, alright?"
Twilight smiles and nods her head before trotting off into the kitchen to do Celestia know's what.
Wait, what's that... sensation? Huh, that's odd, it feels like somepony is trying to form a mental link with me...
"Discord, we need to have a little chat."
"Ahh!"
I can hear her chuckling. The smug mare...
"Okay, I'm sorry but that was pretty funny, Discord."
"Celestia, how dare you enter my head without permission!"
"This is important Discord, now listen."
"Ugh, fine, just hurry up, I want one of those cupcakes."
"Alright, I'll try to be swift."
A few moments go by without her saying anything, and it's really starting to get on my nerves.
"Then hurry the hay up and talk!"
"Discord, I know what you're planning on doing, and it isn't smart."
"Oh really? And what am I planning on doing?"
"You're planning on kissing my student..."
"OH GA-A-AG! Look, I'm not going to try and hide my feelings for her from you, but know this. I'm not going to act on it. Ever."
"Whatever you say, Discord."
"Did you just... wink? How is that even possible?!"
"Now I think Twilight is trying to talk to me, so goodbye for now."
"Yeah whatever..."
She would ignore my question, but on another note, exiting a mental chat is pretty exhausting, I must say. Looking around though, I notice that Celestia and I are getting strange looks from everypony.
"What?"
"You were both making weird faces and your eyes were shut tight," states Twilight, causing both me and Celestia to blush, "what in Equestria were you two doing?"
"We were chatting Twilight, a mental link, but I can't explain right now, for I have much to do in Canterlot."
Over the next few minutes, everypony said their goodbyes and left except for one.
"Discord, can I talk to you in private?"
"Uh, sure Rarity."
I snap my talons and the two of us appear in my room, and she immediately begins her assault.
"Discord, I'm not going to pretend I'm oblivious to your feelings for Twilight, but still, have you even told her how you feel?"
"No, and I don't plan to. End of discussion," I say as I snap my talons, bringing us back to the living room.
"Okay, I guess I'll be going. I'll see you two tomorrow hopefully."
Twilight and I see Rarity off before crashing on the couch and well, relaxing.
"Um, Discord, about my question from earlier."
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that!
"Yes, Twilight? We're alone now, so you can ask without being embarrassed."
She blushes as I say that, and I can't help but find this whole situation funny. She's somehow more comfortable talking to a two day old friend who used to be an enemy than to her friends she's had for a few years. How ironic...
"I was wondering if..."
"Oh dear Celestia, Twilight Sparkle, just spit it out already!"
"I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD SLEEP IN YOUR ROOM FROM NOW ON!"
"W-what? But, why?"
"I took a nap earlier, and I had another nightmare..."
"Tell me more on the way to bed, because it's getting late."
We both get up and make our way to my bedroom, her talking the whole way. When we finally reach my room, she's nearing the end of her little speech.
"So I just want to stay with you and make sure you never leave."
"Twilight, I'll let you sleep here, but how many times do I have to say it? I'm not going to leave you after just two days of knowing you!"
As I lie down and she takes her place next to me, she continues.
"I know, but, I already think of you as maybe the best friend I've ever had. You must think that's pretty silly, huh?"
I don't answer. Instead, I lean down and plant a kiss on her lips, catching her off guard. She eventually sinks into it though, and after a few seconds, I pull back, leaving a stunned, smiling mare. Then it dawns on me. I had just kissed Twilight Sparkle, and she actually enjoyed it!
After a few minutes of silence, because neither of us had the guts to say anything, I hear snoring and notice that Twilight has fallen asleep, a smile running across her features. Looking out the window and towards Canterlot, I have a few words for a certain princess.
"Normally I'd be mad if you were right and I was wrong, Celestia."
I look down at Twilight one more time and can't help but smile.
"But this time? I think I'm content with being wrong..."

Okay, so if you're reading these notes, then you've reached the end of part 1 of "Chaos Theory", and may I say, it's the favorite of the stories I've done. Now, these notes are going to consist of 3 different sections, each titled appropriately. So, here we go!

Discordant Feelings
This is literally one of the best stories on the entire site, and it was the main inspiration. It starts off mainly the same way as mine, but this one goes on for what seems like an eternity before reaching an epic climax that will leave you gasping for air. Seriously, check this story out.
All Wishes Come With A Price
Okay, now this is a one-shot branching off of another fic, entitled "Broken Spirit". You don't necessarily need to read "Broken Spirit", all you really need to know is that although he's trying to change in that story, he constantly pulls pranks and get's on everypony's nerves. Give this one a shot. HA! see what I did there? It's a one-shot and I said, give this one a- oh nevermind...
A Pony's Sympathy
This story is just amazing in so many ways. It was the first Discord story I ever read, over on FFN, and would probably get my vote as the best Discord fic of all time if it wasn't for the next one.
In Search of the Sun
This was the first story I read on this site, and dare I say, it's the greatest Discord fic of all time. It's got an amazing plot, great characterization, hilarious jokes, sad moments, dark moments, hell, it's got everything! I highly recommend you read this one.
