A young man wakes up in a strange, empty town, with no idea of how he came to be there or why the town (which is inhabited by ponies??) is seemingly abandoned.

Things only become more complicated when he realizes that he won't be leaving the town anytime soon, leaving him with no choice but to explore the town in the hopes of discovering a way out, or at least the truth behind the town's mysterious state.

This story is inspired by a certain computer game from the mid-90s. I won't be saying which one, in order to delay spoilers for as long as possible. (...OK, fine, it's Leisure Suit Larry 6. Maybe.)
