Twilight's stomach twists, causing her to curl into the fetal position, clutching her stomach with her hooves. She hear the library's door open and familiar gentle hoofsteps crossing the main floor.
"Twilight? Darling are you here?"
"urrr"
Rarity galloped up the stairs and spots her on the floor,
"DARLING! Twilight are you ok?"
"Tuuurgh"
Rarity enveloped Twilight in her magic, lifting her into the air before levitating her out the door.
"uuurg, where (gasp) are we (gasp) going?"
"To the hospital, darling."
"No! to ca......"
"To where?"
"(gasp) canterlot"
She stopped in her tracks and turned to face her, still holding her aloft.
"Why darling?"
"Discord."
Rarity gallops back to my library and begins to search frantically for the quills and scrolls.
"(gasp) Rarity? sofa?"
"Oh, darling! Terribly sorry!"
"What are you doing?"
"Sending a letter to Princess Celestia. She needs to know."
"Indeed(gasp) she does."
Rarity discovers the quills and scrolls and scribbles something down on it quickly
"SPIKE!!"
The little dragon comes bounding down the stairs, comical love hearts in his eyes.
"Yes Rarity?"
"Send this to the princess please spikey-wikey?"
Spike jumps up high, grabs the scroll in his claws before breathing in and setting it alight with green flames. Within a few seconds he chokes and burps, a scroll materializing through more fire. He clears his throat and begins to read aloud.
"To the bearer of the element of generosity, Rarity,
This news disturbs me greatly. I will charge my sister with guarding Discord before coming to check Twilight Sparkle's condition. I will be there promptly.
Princess Celestia."
"Good, Spikey. Twilight, darling how are you feeling?"
"I hate discord."
Meanwhile, in Canterlot.
Princess Celestia teleports to Princess Luna, in her chambers.
"Lulu, I need you to keep watch over Discord. I fear he may be breaking out again and we do not need a repeat of what happened last time."
"Okay sister but why don't you see to him?"
"I must see to Twilight. She seems to be very ill."
"Okay. I will go."
"Thank you."
Celestia departs from Luna's chambers and promptly teleports to Ponyville.
Luna also teleports, down to the castle sculpture garden, where the spirit of chaos was incarcerated. She looks him over before spotting a small crack running down his face like a scar.
"Oh dear."
A flash of light causes Twilight to fall off the couch and Rarity to come galloping down the steps before tripping on the final step and ending up in a marshmallow heap on the floor. From Twilight's landing place she can see a gold clad hoof helping Rarity up. Princess Celestia!
"Hello my faithful student, Rarity. I apologize for my sudden appearance now how are you feeling Twilight?"
"I'm okay. Hows discord?"
"I am not sure. I will just check up on Luna. You can stand up now Rarity."
Rarity blushes and quickly straightens from her bow, smiling sheepishly. Celestia stifles a giggle and lights her horn, conjuring a bubble with Luna's face on it.
"Hello Luna"
The lunar princess jumps into the air, held aloft by her erect wings. She blushes furiously and turns to the bubble.
"Hello sister. How is Twilight Sparkle?"
"She is fine, what about Discord?"
"Hold on, I will show you."
Her dark horn lights up, enveloping the bubble and guiding it over to the statue of discord. She brings it closer to his face, bringing light to the small crack. Right before my eyes, as Luna zooms out, the crack enlarges with a sharp crack, doubling and tripling in size before breaking off on several different paths, causing a irregular pattern to be cast across Discord's body. Luna's panicked face comes into view, near hyperventilating.
"Sister, we have a problem!"
"I know. Calm down, take a breath and turn away, do not look at him. I will be there in a second."
With that, Celestia cut the connection, causing the bubble to dissipate. She turns to Rarity, a serious look on her muzzle.
"Rarity. Gather the other elements of harmony and return here as soon as possible."
"Rarity gallops out the door, closing it magically and Celestia turns to me next.
"Twilight, this will hurt for just a moment but I cannot think of a better spell to help. It will not eradicate the pain but it will ease it until it goes away on its own."
"Thank you."
She lights up her horn again and Twilight begins to feel lightheaded as her magic surrounds her. A spasm takes over her limbs and she kicks out, just missing princess celestia's muzzle. As soon as it starts, its over and she begins to think clearer. she sit up then stand on her hooves, testing them out before letting go of the sofa. When she was sure of herself, Twilight turns to my mentor.
"Thank you Princess Celestia. I feel much better."
"You are welcome, my faithful student."
Her ears perk up and she turns to face the door as Twilight's five other friends burst into the library, along with spike. They bow before lining up beside her.
"What do you need us for, Princess?"
They chorus. Both student and mentor smile at their readiness.
"Thank you for coming as fast as you could, my little ponies. Discord is escaping his imprisonment so I must put my plan into action. Twilight, have you got the elements of harmony?"
"Yes princess."
Twilight levitates them down from the safe in her bedroom and attaches them to Applejack's neck, Rarity's neck, Rainbow's neck, Pinkie's neck, Fluttershy's neck and secures the crown onto her own head.
"Good. Now gather close. I will teleport us to Canterlot."
"Ahem, Princess? Ah don't mean ta be rude or anythang but what exactly do ya plan ta do with Discord?"
Applejack asks just before we leave.
"Good question, Applejack. I plan to reform him."
"YOU WHAT?!?!"
A blinding light disorientates us before the Canterlot sculpture garden comes into focus. My friends shake off the sensation of being drowned before remembering Princess Celestia's last comment.
"What?" (Fluttershy)
"That's impossible!" (R.D)
"Are ya okay there Princess?" (A.J)
"Will this work?" (Rarity)
"Then I said OATMEAL? Are you crazy!" (pinkie)
Everypony stops talking and looks at pinkie.
"What?"
"Nevermind" Twilight says quickly.
Another sharp cracking sound draws our attention to the matter at hoof.
"Quick" Luna calls to us. "Positions!"
Twilight nods. We form a open triangle and lower our center of balance, ready to be strong. She watches Discord for any movements before a twitch in his claw gives away what is happening. She prepares herself, ready to cast the spell if needed. One arm frees itself and the stone falls away from his form. He blinks a few times before breaking into a smile which evolves into a laugh.
"AH HA HA I'M FREE! AH HA HA!"
Discord's gaze falls on us and he utters two words.
"Oh crap."
