"Applejack! I need to talk to you!" Applejack turned her head to see Twilight running towards her. Halfway to her, she tripped and fell. She got back up and continued to gallop towards her cowpony friend. Applejack had just finished her farm-hand chores. "Oh howdy Twilight, how are ya doing?"
Twilight trotted up to her orange friend, "I'm doing fine. Applejack, I need a favor."
"Sure thing Twilight, what do ya need?"
Twilight took in a breath, she looked really excited. "I need you to go get Rarity and Pinkie Pie. Tell them to pack for a week long vacation. I'll go get Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, we'll meet in the glade at the west orchard of Sweet Apple Acres. Okay?"
"Got it, but why do we need ta meet in such a deserted place like the west orchard?"
"Oh I guess I should explain. Okay, Last Night..." Twilight began to explain.

Applejack went to Sugarcube Corner and Carousel Boutique to get Rarity and Pinkie while Twilight picked up Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Then they met at the west orchard. Twilight was now carrying her saddlebags."Twilight, are ya sure about this? It doesn't seem very safe." Applejack said with a nervous look on her face. She was in an open field with Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. Twilight had called them all over to this open glade at the west edge of Sweet Apple Acres, She had said something about a new spell she wanted to try out.
"Don't worry Applejack," Twilight replied, "I'm sure your just nervous."
"Hey Twilight, what are we all doing here anyway?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Oh that's right, I only told Applejack. Last night, Princess Celestia mailed me a the first edition of Starswirl the Bearded's Ancient Spells and History. The first edition! Can you believe it!" Twilight did a small high pitched fan-filly scream, and began to bounce around on the tips of her hooves. Applejack tapped Twilight on her shoulder and said, "Whoa there nelly, how 'bout ya finish yer story."
Twilight stopped fan-fillying and coughed, slightly embarrassed. "Um oh yea, well I found this spell that allows ten ponies at once to go back in time at any place in history for one week. And I'm us all back in time! Won't that be exiting! Imagine, I might be able to meet Starswirl the Bearded!" Twilight practically swooned at the thought. Four of her friends looked at her with slight concern, Pinkie Pie looked on the verge of exploding with excitement, "Omygosh! We can really go back in time! ThatwouldbesocoolImeanimaginegoingbackintimeIcouldvisitmygreatgreatgreatgreatgraetgreatgreatgrandfatherorwecouldeattheworld'sfirstcupcakeorwecouldgoandvisittheworld'sfirstbakeryor-"
Rainbow stuck a hoof in Pinkie's mouth, "Yea I'm syked too. We could go meet the founder of the Wonderbolts!"
Rarity agreed, "Oh yes I do agree, I would love to go see some of the fashion lines of the designers before me. Oh my stars! Imagine if I could talk to one of them! That would be the most wonderful thing!
Fluttershy squeaked softly and said, "Maybe we could meet some of the woodland creatures from the past oh um, well if Twilight doesn't mind that is..."
"It's settled then," Twilight said, clopping her hooves together, "We'll all go back in time! How about two-thousand years everypony?"
"Wait just a gosh darn minute," Applejack interrupted, "How do we know if this is safe? That spell has ta be over ah thousand years old! What if we get stuck in the olden cave-pony era or somethin'?
"Don't worry AJ, I have the spell-book right here." Twilight levitated a large, leather-bound tomb from her saddlebag. The cover had a the Celestial insignia engraved on the cover. "Okay everypony stand in a circle and we can get started."
The six mares moved into one large circle, each of them with their own looks of excitement and nervousness on their faces. Twilight then opened the book to a bookmarked page and began to chant in an ancient language. Her horn began to glow and the magic aura grew until all six ponies were engulfed by the blinding light.
"Ooooh Sparkly!" Pinkie Pie squealed as the light got brighter.
Suddenly, a weird tingling feeling began to fill the ponies bodies, "Uh Twilight?" Rainbow turned to her lavender friend, "what's that feeling, is this supposed to happen?"
"I don't know! It isn't written in the book!"
"Twilight darling," Rarity said, "would you be a dear and tell me why your shrinking?!"
"What!" Twilight shouted looking herself over, she was shrinking.
"What's going on!" Rainbow Dash yelled only to clap her hooves over her mouth, her voice was high-pitched and squeaky."
Pinkie Pie began to giggle and everypony else began shouting and yelling. When the light became to bright to bear, they closed their eyes and put their still-shrinking hooves over their faces. Fluttershy gave one final barely audible squeak as the mares all fainted. And a large BOOM was heard throughout all of Ponyville and Derpy dropped her muffin. The muffin dropped on the ground, rolled a few feet, and bumped the hoof of the brown stallion standing next to her.
"Did you hear that?" She asked. The stallion looked at the direction of the explosion, pulling a strange looking screwdriver from his pocket. A whirring sound came from it, he put it back in his pocket and spoke with a strange accent, "Nah it doesn't seem like anything we need to worry about. Come along Derpy, to the T.A.R.D.I.S!"
"But that was an explosion! Shouldn't we be worried? What if somepony got hurt!"
"Come along Derpy! Adventure awaits!"
"Why do I even put up with you Doctor." Derpy grumbled as she followed the stallion into a blue box that seemed way to small to fit even one pony.
