Chapters The New Beginnings of Skittle Twist
A left green eye and right blue eye opened. There was a yawn as the colorful Earth pony stretched. She turned her purple head to her alarm clock. It was 3 a.m. The purple pony rolled her eyes and sighed angrily. She poked her head out of her red camping tent to see the campsite. As usual, it was silent. It was too early for everyone else to wake up.
Skittle Twist grinned at the thought that only she was awake. She went back into tent and grabbed her orange brush. She took off her bright orange night cap with black stringy hair, big eyes and a red nose. She started combing her blonde hair, a mess from her tossing and turning. She grinned at her hair, seeing the familiar colored tips of her hair. Everyone she met asked her if they were dyed, but no, they were her all natural hair color since she could remember them appearing.
This had been when she was just a little filly. As soon as she came to Equestria, her hair had turned to the colors it was now. Besides, the tips matched her rainbow bracelets. She looked down at her front hooves. Each front wrist had a set of six colorful bracelets. The one red, the next orange, then yellow, etc. when she was little, she had taken them from her mother's jewelry box. They were too big for her at first, sliding down her wrists. But she grew into them now and wore them everyday. They could no longer be slipped off, but if she wanted to she could unattach them, like one would do with a glow stick bracelet.
When she was finished with her hair, she went outside. She started a fire in the fire pit and grabbed a frying pan and some oats. She fried the oats and soon the smell filled the early morning air. Breakfast took two hours to make, due to the fact that they had little resources to work with and the birds kept diving at the delicious oats.
Skittles sat on a log and ate her breakfast quietly.
After she was finished, she cleaned up the campsite, and pulled out a some paper and colored pencil. With her artistic heart cutie mark representing her talent in artistic skills, she was able to draw a very detailed drawing of the campsite. Soon she heard a yawn coming from the other tent. A dark blue stallion with dark green eyes and dirty blonde hair came out with another yawn. Skittles set aside her finished drawing.
"Mornin' Rosebud!" She greeted the stallion.
"Skittles? Why are you always up so early? Do ever go to sleep?" The stallion with a coffee cup as his cutie mark stiffled another yawn.
Skittles ignored the questions. "Made ya breakfast. Fried oats." She said.
Rosebud poured up a cup of coffee. "Oh, thanks." He took the thermo to Skittles, who had grabbed a glass of milk. He poured a tiny bit of coffee into her cup. "There, just the way you like it." He grabbed his coffee and took a sip. "Ah, that's better." He said. He was more awake now.
"Aren't you going to eat?" He asked as he grabbed some fried oats and sat down on the other log.
"Already ate." Skittles said and took a sip of her drink.
"Oh."
"Yep. Sorry I ate most of that." She pointed to the fried oats.
"It's okay, I'm not that hungry. Just needed a coffee." Rosebud took a sip of his coffee then finished the last of the oats.
"Ready?" He said.
"Yep, never gonna comb that hair a yers will ya?" Skittles said. Rosebud shrugged.
"Alrighty then." Skittles walked over to her tent, pulled one string with her teeth, and it folded itself into neat pile.
"Umm...." Rosebud started.
"What? I was in the woods a lot when I was little. Ya live 'n learn." Skittles said.
She walked over to his tent, pulled a string, and it also folded into a neat pile. She picked the folded tents and put them into her wagon, which was filled with all of her things. She hooked up the wagon while Rosebud finished cleaning up the campsite and put it in his wagon.
"We're off!" He said as they started walking.
"Beep beep beep. I still can't believe it! I'm gonna live in Ponyville!! It's gonna be awesome, right 'Bud?" Skittle Twist jumped up and down as she pulled a wagon with all of her things in it.
"Yup. And thanks for bringing me along. I'm glad we are finally moving. Why did you want to move again?" Rosebud smiled as he pulled his wagon.
"Oh," Skittles suddenly looked a little glum. "Er, just wanted ta start a different life. Had 'nuff a Fillydelphia." Then she smiled. "But I couldn't go without you. I had to bring you along!"
"Yeah, I didn't really like it there either. You and me both had some tough times there. I'm glad I came with you."
"Now it's all brand new! And there's famous ponies livin' there. The Mane Six. I'm really big fans of them. I only heard about 'em, they all sound so friendly. Especially Pinkie Pie." Skittles giggled.
"I thought you didn't like pink."
"I don't, but Pinkie's just so..." Skittles started giggling again. "Yer gonna have ta find out. She's my only 'ception ta pink. Hey Ozzie! Who's yer favorite pony a the Mane Six?" Skittles turned her head to look at her stuffed animal in her wagon. He was light blue with a square head and was wearing red suspenders. He had blue, skinny arms and three strands of spiky black hair standing straight up, like triangles. He also had two bandaids on the left side of his head. Skittles often talked to him as if she could understand him.
"Ya like Rainbow Dash? Yeah, she's pretty awesome with that colerful mane. But maybe yer right, who a we ta pick favorites if we only heard about 'em." Skittles smiled at Ozzie, then turned to Rosebud.
"But who's yer favorite pony?" She asked him.
"You of course." He answered.
"Awww. That's sweet, Rosebud. Seriously, who's yer favorite pony, 'sides me, in Equestria?"
"I don't know, it's like Ozzie said. I shouldn't pick until I meet them." Rosebud looked at Skittles kindly.

"Rosebud! Ozzie! Look! We're here! Yayayayay!!" Skittles jumped up and down. She couldn't believe it. They were here! Now she could start a new life. No more bad days. Only good days. Maybe she would make more friends.
"But you're never going to leave Rosebud, right?" Ozzie said to her silently.
No way. She would never leave Rosebud. They were best friends. Skittles looked at Rosebud. They had been through so much together. He had always been there for her. All the dreadful moments...
Skittles shook her head. She didn't want to think about it now. They had arrived in Ponyville. She could deal with it later. She looked at Ponyville. They were standing on top of a hill and could see the town below.
"See? Isn't it awesome? Let's go see town. Wonder if we can find a place to stay." Skittles quickly trotted ahead with Rosebud behind her.
"Can we stop somewhere first?" Rosebud panted. He wasn't great at traveling. "Cause I am beat."
They had been traveling for a week. Normally, Rosebud would've taken the train, but he didn't have enough for even one train ticket. Not to mention Skittles didn't do so well with trains or wagons. So when Skittles suggested that they walked all the way to Ponyville, he politely agreed but made sure they avoided the Foal Mountains.
"Sure where do you wanna stop?" Skittles asked. They had just come to the first part of Ponyville.
Rosebud looked around. "There! I can't wait to get something to eat." He pointed to a shop.
So they left their wagons outside and went in. Inside, they noticed that the shop filled with cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. Rosebud rang the bell on the counter.
"Hey, I hearda this place. It's-" Skittles started.
"Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner!" A pink pony came in and gasped at them. "Omigosh! Are you new here? I've never seen you here before. You have to be new because I know everypony in Ponyville. And I mean everypony in Ponyville. And if I've never seen you here that means you're new." The pink pony quickly said. Skittles's face lit up.
"Is that Pinkie Pie?" Rosebud whispered.
"Mhm" Skittles nodded, face still lit up.
"Yup, that's right! My name's Pinkie Pie. How'd you guess that? Can you read minds? What number am I thinking of? Hah! It's negative 29! Nobody would guess that! So what's your name? No don't tell me! Is it Blueberry and Grape? No wait, is it Cuppa Joe and Artsy Heart? Wanna know how I got that? From your cutie marks! Wanna see my cutie mark? It's three balloons. One's yellow and the others are blue. I think they match my eyes, see? Wow! Look at your eyes! Ones green and the other blue! That's so cool! I wish-"
"Pinkie! How much flour do I put in again?" A voice came from back.
"One cup!" Pinkie called back. Then she turned back to Skittles and Rosebud "Oh that's Twilight Sparkle! Wanna meet her? She's in back." Pinkie pushed the two ponies in back before they could even react. "Twilight! I want you to meet somebody! This is Artsy Heart and Cuppa Joe. Aren't Artsy's eyes cool? One is green the other blue! I wish I had her eyes! And look Cuppa Joe! His eyes are-"
"Pinkie, dear? I don't think that's these ponies's names. Cuppa Joe moved away a long time ago and he wasn't blue." The purple alicorn said.
"Oh yeah, hehehe," Pinkie giggled nervously.
"So what are your real names?" Twilight asked.
"I'm Rosebud and this is Skittles Twist."
"Really? You don't seem like a Rosebud. So why do you have a coffee cup as a cutie mark if your name is Rosebud? Shouldn't it be like a rose or something. But that would be silly because you're a stallion, not a mare. But then your talent could be florist. Are you a florist? Do you know any florists that are stallions?" Pinkie chattered.
"I don't. And my name is Rosebud because my mother was a florist, and she named her fillies after flowers. There was Lilybud, Violetbud, and me, Rosebud." Rosebud made a disgusted face. He never saw why his mom had given him such a silly name. Even Skittles thought it was silly at first.
"That's why yer called Rosebud?" Skittles asked.
"Yep. It's a silly name isn't?" Rosebud answered.
"Naw, it's not that bad." Skittles giggled.
"Then why are you laughing?" He smiled.
"What? Me? Laugh at the name 'Rosebud' fer a stallion? I would never." Skittles said sarcastically as they both fell in fits of laughter.

"Now that we've gotten something to eat, wanna see the rest of Ponyville?" Skittles asked Rosebud as she finished her cookies and sweetflower sandwhich. They were sitting in a booth in Sugarcube Corner, assorted dirty dishes scrambled on the table.
"Sure." He responded, wiping his mouth with a napkin.
Skittles popped her last cookie in her mouth and swallowed it with a burp. Rosebud looked at her, eyebrow raised. Skittles shrugged as they piled their plates and dropped seven bits on the table.
"Beep beep beep. Hey Pinkie Pie, wanna come with us and show us 'round?" Skittles asked the pink mare. Pinkie Pie put the rag she had been using to wipe the counter and bounced over to them with a huge smile.
"Yeah! Yippee!" Pinkie jumped up and down. "C'mon I'll take you my friends Fluttershy, Dashie, and Feather Breeze." Pinkie began to lead them to park.
Skittles stopped and gasped. "We get ta meet Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy? Yes!" She quick hoof pumped the air and followed them.

As they all got to the park, they saw Fluttershy with some animals on a bench and Rainbow Dash and another pegasus sitting on a cloud, talking.
"Wowzas! I can't believe it! It's Rainbow and Fluttershy! OOF!" Skittles tripped over a rock and landed face first in the dirt.
Someone laughed. "She's like Derpy! With the eyes and everything!" The unknown pegasus said. She was a light purple with a pale yellow, short mane and light blue eyes. She had a trophy as her cutie mark.
"Stop it, Feathers. She just didn't see the rock. And Derpy's not clumsy. She just has little...difficulties." Rainbow said as she flew down to meet the two knew ponies.
"Wow! Yer Rainbow Dash!" Skittle quickly got up as if nothing had happened.
"And I'm guessing that's Fluttershy?" Rosebud said, pointing to the pegasus feeding the animals some bread crumbs while sitting on a bench.
"Yup, an-" Skittles started.
"Oh hello! I'm Feather Breeze!" The purple pegasus flew down beside Rosebud, knocking down Skittles in the process. She batted her eyelashes at him.
"Who are you? I didn't see you there." She said.
"We are Rosebud and Skittle Twist." Skittles said crossly as she dusted herself off. This pegasus already bugged her.
"Rosebud. I love that name. Like a sweet flower." Feather Breeze gave him a flirty smile as she stepped closer to Rosebud.
"Nice to meet you. Don't mind Feathers." Rainbow Dash told them.
"Yeeaah...I'm gonna go see Fluttershy now. C'mon Skittles." But Skittles was already pulling him away from the loving purple Pegasus.
"Fluttershy, look! There's two new ponies in town! This is Skittles and Rosebud!" Pinkie bounced over to Fluttershy as the animals scattered away.
"Oh..um...hello..I'm Flutter-"
"They already know who you are, silly! Princess Celestia told everyone about us remember?" Pinkie interupted.
"Oh, how.....nice." The shy pony looked at Skittle's wagon and saw Ozzie. "Oh! Who's this little guy!" She suddenly rushed over and lifted him from the wagon and hugged him tightly.
"No! Don't hug him that tight! He doesn't like it!" Skittles quick to Ozzie from Fluttershy. "Ya have ta hug 'em like this, see?" Skittles hugged him gently, then handed him back to Fluttershy. "Here, and his name's Ozzie."
"Awww! He's so cute!" Pinkie said.
"Erm, why do you have a plushie?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yeah, aren't you a little old for plushies?" Feather Breeze asked.
"What? No way! You're never too old for anything!" Pinkie Pie shouted as she hugged Ozzie.
"Why does he have a bandaids on him? If its a rip or something I bet my friend Rarity could fix it." Rainbow said.
"It's not that," Rosebud quickly said. "They're actually sewed on him." He glanced at Skittles.
"No reason." She said, frowning.

Chapter 5 (A Skittle Twist memory)
Skittles hurriedly knocked on Rosebud's door. When there was no answer, Skittle Twist knocked again, more frantic and longer.
"C'mon, c'mon." Skittles said.
The door finally opened, revealing a tired looking Rosebud. He rubbed his eyes and yawned.
"You do realize it the middle of the night and-" he started.
"Rosebud, ya gotta help me. Sparky took Ozzie!"
"What?" Rosebud shook his head and examined the pony. "Skittles, why are you covered in egg yolk? And don't you think it's time to let you go of Ozzie? I mean we aren't fillies any-" Rosebud started.
"No, Rosebud! So many people had told me that I should just grow up and....and...can you just help me get him please?" Skittles begged. Rosebud looked at the pony, who was already starting to turn black and grey.
"Alright, where did he go?" He asked. Skittles shook herself like a dog and egg yolk went flying off, leaving a clean purple, pony.
"He ran off in the park." She answered.
Rosebud shut the door and they ran to the park. ......
"Hey! Leave 'em alone!" Skittles shouted angrily as they came up to a unicorn who was tossing Ozzie in a puddle. He turned to look at Skittles and Rosebud.
"Look who it is. It's the little emo pony who can't even talk right and her boyfriend the hero. Whatcha gonna do hero?" Sparky sneered as he held up Ozzie using his unicorn magic.
Skittles growled "He didn't come here to save Ozzie. I did. He came for backup. NOW GIVE HIM BACK ER ELSE!!" Skittles got into her tackle position. She had enough of this guy.
"Or else what?" Sparky said as he used his magic to make a tear into Ozzie's head. Cotton could be seen inside.
"ER ELSE THIS!" Skittles called as she pounded her head into the unicorn's side. The blow was enough for Sparky to quit using magic for a moment, so that Rosebud snatched Ozzie by the arm and ran off.
Skittles climbed on top of Sparky. "Unless ya want ta be in the hospital, you better leave me, Ozzie, and Rosebud ALONE. NOW GET LOST!"
The cowering pony backed away then ran. But Sparky stopped and turned around. "You got lucky this time, Twist." He told her.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Skittles bellowed. He winced and ran away quickly, but not before giving her angry scowl.
....
When she got back to Rosebud's house, she slammed the door.
"I swear one of these days I'm going to bucking....Ugh, you know how it goes." She said angrily to Rosebud and collasped on the couch.
"Atleast you scared him. Those anger issues come in handy sometimes. I think we have some of my mom's sewing stuff in the basement. There's some embroided patches. I'll get them."
"Thanks Rosebud. Oz says thanks too."

"We should go. Thanks." Skittles said.
"Oh, um...bye...nice meeting you." Fluttershy said.
"See ya 'round guys." Rainbow Dash saluted and flew off.
"Yeah, bye." Feather Breeze waved at Rosebud, who nervously smiled back.
.....
"Okay, ponies! Right over here is Sweet Apple Acres." Pinkie bounced as she lead the group up to an apple tree orchard. They could hear three voices arguing inside the barn. When they looked inside they saw three fillies.
"Ah'm gonna get mine first!"
"Ha! You're on Applebloom! I'll get mine waaaaay before you do!"
"But Scoots, how are you going to that if you can't fly yet?"
Just then two other ponies and a small green and purple dragon walked over.
"Girls, stop it this instant! I will have no rough housing. Now we have guests here so behave." One pony said.
"Sorry Rarity." They apologized and they all walked over to the newcomers.
"Howdy y'all. You two must be the new folks here. Ah see Pinkie's given ya a tour. Mah name's-" The orange pony said.
"Applejack. Beep beep beep. And yer Rarity." Skittles pointed to the white unicorn.
Rarity gasped. "You've heard of me?!?!" She rushed over and faced Skittles. "Tell me everything you know about me. I must know. All I heard was good things, the glorious things! But wait! What if they've said things behind my back! Oh the horror!" She put up her hoof to her face and pretended to faint.
"All I heard is that yer one of the most well known ponies in Equestria and that ya've done some pretty heroic things. You've also defeated many villains and have a shop here in Ponyville and have designed many outfits for the famous ponies, including the princesses. And that just was a summary from the newspaper. They gave you a pretty good review." Skittles said.
"Really?" Rarity gasped again.
"Well have you heard about me and my awesome motor skills?" The small orange pegasus fluttered her wings. "I'm Scootaloo." She said.
"Or me?" The little white unicorn asked.
"Er me?" The tiny yellow earth pony said with a huge smile.
"I bet you've heard of me. I'm Spike!" The baby dragon pointed to himself.
"Nope sorry. I wish I had. You fillies seem real nice. So d'you Spike." Skittles commented. "I'm Skittles and this is Rosebud."
"This is my dear sister Sweetie Belle and her friends Applebloom and Scootaloo." Rarity introduced.
"So, what brings you two around these parts?" Applejack asked.
"Oh, you know. Just the usual. Got tired of the city, so we moved here." Rosebud answered.
"Yeah, ah've done that too." A.J. smiled at Skittles and Rosebud. Both were looking so tired. She figured that it was because of Pinkie Pie's nonstop talking. "Why don't ah find ya too a place ta sleep. Its almost dark anyway. Where would ya like stay?"
"Oh! Nearly forgot 'bout that! Anywhere's fine." Skittles said kindly.
"Ooo! I know the perfect place for you! Come with me!" Rarity said as lead them out of the barn. "Pinkie, Spike, could you be a dear and watch the Crusaders for me and Applejack?"
"Okey Dokey!" Pinkie smiled. The Crusaders, Spike, and her waved as the group walked back to Ponyville.

"So where are you taking us?" Rosebud asked.
"Well, using my keen eyes I saw your cutie marks. I saw that, you Rosebud, have a coffee cup as your cutie mark. So I figured you could use Beans n' Green the coffee shop here in Ponyville. And I noticed that Skittles seems like an artist to me. Especially since she has that artistic heart and is that paint in your mane dear?" Rarity asked Skittles.
"No, it's naturely like that. I was born with it." Skittles answered. It was the closest thing to Rainbow Dash's.
"Oh thank goodness. If was paint it would ruin your beautiful mane, dear." Rarity sighed in relief.

Chapter 7 (A Skittle Twist memory)
"Beep beep beep. Hey, Rosebud! Look at this painting I made of us. It's got you, me, and Ozzie. It's my favorite one." Skittles smiled at her masterpiece. Rosebud walked up and looked it.
"I like it. It's your best one yet. But you forgot something."
"What'd I forget?"
"To sign it. Duh." Rosebud said playfully as he poked Skittles in the shoulder.
"Hey, don't. You'll mess me up. There I signed it." She said.
"You know what else? You got your cutie mark."
Skittles gasped. "I did? Ha! I got mine before you. Oh! I'm so happy!" She turned and saw that she now had an artistic heart on her flank. Then she hugged Rosebud. "So when do you think you'll get yours?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. I'm not sure what I'll even do."
"Well can I have something drink?"
"Sure I was actually hoping you'd say that because I came up with this new type of coffee. And I want you to try it." He lead her into the kitchen and pulled out his new coffee.
"Coffee? You told me that you were only drinking hot cocoa." Skittles said with a frown.
"Yeah, I lied. But just try it. It's really good." He said as he poured her up a cup. They both took a sip.
"Mmmm. This is really good. What did you put in it?" Skittles commented and took another sip.
"Chocolate, and a few other things." Rosebud said. Skittles looked and saw he had gotten his cutie mark.
"Like rose petals?" She smirked.
"Yeah, how'd you know?"
"Yer cutie mark told me. Take a look."
Rosebud turned and look at his flank, which now had a coffee cup with three rose petals above it.
"It appeared as I was drinking this." Skittle gestured at the coffee. "Now we both got our cutie marks!"

"The coffee shop has furniture and everythin' in it. Encludin' a bed, so you can go on off ta sleep, sugar cube," Applejack said to Rosebud.
"Oh that would be really nice. My hooves are killing me." He told the farmer.
"But first we will show you where dear Skittles is staying." Rarity said to him. "Unless you would like to go to the coffee shop."
"I'm fine." Rosebud said.
"So, y'all like it here?" Applejack asked.
"Mhm," Skittles nodded. "A bit better than I expected. Gonna love stayin' here. I've heard how ya saved Ponyville from Nightmare Moon and all the other villains. But, I was wonderin'. Why did you have to stop Nightmare?"
"Wha? Well she was going to put all of Equestria in eternal night." Rarity explained.
"And what's so wrong about that?" Skittles gave her a questioning look.
Before the unicorn could respond, Applejack announced "We're here!"
"Ooo, so what's this place?" Skittles said as they walked inside.
"The Rainbow Shop. It's the art shop where yer gonna stay. You can live here and do yer fancy artsy stuff." A. J. replied.
"It was run by the public. Everyone submitted their paintings, sculptures and things if they wanted to sell it. Ponies would take turns running the store, but now that we have you, dear Skittles, we don't have to take turns running the store." Rarity explained.
"Hmm," Skittles put a hoof to her muzzle in thought. "I s'poze I could still have ponies sell the art they wanna sell. Oh, I could also get them to submit it so everypony could look at it! Like a museum. I s'poze can sell my stuff too. And I could...." She rambled on, ideas running through her head.
"Heh heh," Rarity chuckled. "I remember when I was like that when I first opened the Carousel Boutique."
"Well, looks like yer all settled in. See y'all tomorrow. Night y'all!" Applejack called as her and Rarity walked out.
Rosebud looked at Skittles. "I better get going too. You sure your okay?" He asked her.
"Beep beep beep. Yeah, Rosebud. I'm fine." Skittles smiled at him as she walked him to the door
"You really sure?"
"Stop treating me like I'm a filly!" Skittles playfully punched him in the shoulder then shut the door as he walked out.

Chapter 9 (A Skittle Twist memory)
Skittles was laying on the park bench when she saw Rosebud walking by. She tried to hide under the old newspaper she had on top of her and muttered under her breath.
"Skittles, is that you?" Too late. He already started walking up to her.
"Damn it." she muttered. "Oh. Hey Rosebud. I was just sittin' here. What are you doin' here?" She asked as she sat up. He sat down next to her.
"I was about to ask you the same thing. I was looking for you. Where have you been? I haven't seen you all week." He told her.
"I've been all over town. Mostly here er on the streets."
"Why?"
Skittles winced. "Oh, I just had ta get away fer a lil bit. Nuttin ta worry 'bout......Done it before. Its normal fer me." She rubbed her shoulder nervously.
"So you've done it only a couple times, right?"
"Nah, I think it's been.....what? Seven? Maybe ten. But I never told ya because we would have a talk, like this one. I just needed to be by myself for a little bit. Just outta the house. To think and forget, if that's possible. I'm going home tomorrow. So don't worry. Cuz sometimes you worry about me too much."
"Well, I can't help it. You get into trouble a lot." He said to her.
"I do not! Trouble gets into me! It follows me where ever I go."
"And that's why you got me."

Chapter 2 (A Rosebud memory)
Rosebud was walking in the park when he saw a bunch of fillies laughing and throwing mud. He looked closer and saw a purple filly covered in mud.
"Stop it!" She said. "All I did was trip and fall in the mud!" She looked them with anger.
"Maybe if wasn't for those eyes." A mean filly said.
"What kind of filly has two different colored eyes?" Another said.
"And still be that happy?"
"You're a clutz."
"An outcast"
"Emo!"
With each remark a pony threw mud.
"What's with the toy? Is he your little friend?"
"Maybe her only friend."
"Why are you even still here?"
"Go cry to your mommy. Oh that's right you can't"
"Cuz she's not your real mommy. You were adopted."
They finally stopped and all ran away, leaving the little filly crying.
Rosebud ran up to her.
"Are you okay?" He looked at the little filly hugging the blue stuffed animal. She her coat now grey instead of purple. Her mane was black. She was crying, but instead of normal tears they were rainbow-colored. There was a rainbow puddle underneath her, mixed around with mud. She looked at Rosebud. He noticed that she her eyes were even rainbow.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just tripped." She tried to get up, but slipped in the mud.
"Here, let me help." He helped her up. "Where do you live? I can take you there to wash off the mud."
"NO!" She quickly said. "I mean, let's go to yer place 'stead. Can Ozzie come too?" She held up her stuffed animal.
"Um, okay."
When they got to Rosebud's house, he helped her to the bathroom. Luckily, no one was home. As he washed off the mud, he noticed that her coat was turning back to purple. Her mane was no longer black. Instead, it was blonde with different colored tips on the end.
"You're an interesting kind of pony." He said. She smiled sadly. He washed of her face and saw that her eyes were no longer rainbow. The left was light green and the other was blue. She hugged Ozzie tighter.
"What's your name?" Rosebud asked.
"Skittle Twist, you can call me Skittles."
"I'm Rosebud. Want to stay a while?"
"Yeah, that would be great."

The New Beginnings of Skittle Twist
"So. Where am I sleepin'?" Skittles asked out loud."Probably in the extra bedroom upstairs. You can move into there. Do whatever you want with the place. It's your room." Ozzie told her.
