//-------------------------------------------------------// Wandering in Equestria -by Godson- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue ----Note---- This is isn't a self-insert fic, in real life I wouldn’t have made the decisions that this character makes! I realize that many people have made stories involving some sort of romance with Rainbow Dash, add this to the list, then. Before I start talking about the events of today, I think I should give a proper introduction. My name is George, I am 16 years old, I’m an only child, and I’m around 5 feet tall. I have black hair, my eyes are a brownish color. Sometimes I act silly, I’d joke around and make people laugh, and at other times I’d look a bit like a fool. I guess it never stopped me, I eventually was able to make someone laugh at the end of it all, anyways. Today started out pretty normal as any other day in my life, boring. It was almost like every day was a daily routine. School, play games, eat, sleep, then the same thing all over again the next day. Sometimes I’d change it up a bit and watch some MLP, but it was still the same routine, just one thing was different. Since I was homeschooled it took me less time to work on school than most people do. So it gave me more time for playing games or whatever I felt like doing. Today was July 10, the fact it was summer gave me more time to do whatever I wanted. I’d mostly spend my time playing video games, and watch MLP some other times. At other times I’d wish I could actually live in Equestria, but I knew it’d never happen. It was only a cartoon, anyways. I felt like changing things up today, it was summer, I could do almost anything I wanted. I decided to go outside and do something, then came back inside shortly after. It was too hot. It was summer, I should expected as such. I was getting a bit used to the whole routine, though. Besides there not being school since it was summer. But, still, today felt off. Today was…quiet. Almost like everyone was home doing nothing. I didn’t live in a very popular place, so I didn’t expect many cars passing by. But I never saw a single car passing by. It really felt…off. “Huh.” I said. “Is everyone taking a day to be lazy or something?” “…Wait, I’m talking to myself again.” Thinking out loud. I would randomly talk to myself every now and then, mostly out of boredom, but whenever I caught myself, I’d stop instantly. I started thinking shortly after, perhaps everyone DID take the day off to be lazy, or maybe they were on vacation or something. My parents were asleep, and I had just finished eating breakfast. And I couldn’t think of what to do. Then I decided to wonder how I’d look like if I were a pony, I remembered about General Zoi’s Pony Creator “Game”. Though it wasn’t the best way to create an OC, especially one that was supposed to look like me as a pony, but it was better than nothing. At least I would’ve killed some time by doing so. So why not? I started designing my OC, I gave his body a blue-ish purple. And his mane and tail are a dark red, while his eyes were a bright blue color. I’m not sure how to explain how my OC’s mane and tail looked like, they were both short. Short tail, short mane. I was happy with how I designed my OC, all I needed was to decide if I wanted him to be a pegasus, a unicorn, or an ordinary earth pony. After a few minutes of thinking, I decided on making him a pegasus. All I needed was a cutie mark. I needed to think about it, but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of designing a new cutie mark at that moment. I was getting ready to save it to my PC. I stopped and started to think if my OC needed anything else. A few seconds later I figured he had all he needed, besides his cutie mark. So I saved it on my PC. …It almost seemed like a coincidence, but it was also odd. Once I hit “save” to export the picture of my OC to my PC, I heard thunder. “Huh?” I looked outside and didn’t see any dark clouds. Everything still looked normal, but it was odd. How did I hear thunder right when I hit save? And WHY did it happen at the very moment I hit save? I assumed that maybe there was a storm approaching, and that the dark clouds could have been too far away for me to see. I felt like playing my Nintendo 3DS, when I went to the last place I remembered leaving it. I had realized I left it outside, I don’t even remember why I left it outside. I felt a bit like an idiot for being careless about where I placed my 3DS. But I didn’t really care, I thought of quickly going outside to grab it before it started raining. I went outside and started thinking about where exactly I left my 3DS. I walked outside to see if I can find my 3DS, before my parents woke up and saw me outside alone. I looked up and noticed the clouds were dark, how did the clouds get dark so quickly? Just a few minutes ago everything was clear. I walked by my mom’s car, to check if my 3DS was nearby. Just then, it started to rain a little bit. “…Great, just great!” I said to myself. “I better hurry and find my 3DS.” I stopped for a moment. I wasn’t getting wet. The rain was getting stronger, but I still never got wet. I questioned it at first, but then I quickly focused my attention to finding my 3DS. If I wasn’t getting wet, perhaps my 3DS was safe as well. I was looking around and didn’t find anything. Then something clicked in my head. My 3DS was inside the car. I’m not even sure why I left it there. “Well, at least I know it’s not getting wet.” I thought out loud. There was a random flash, followed by thunder. I was looking at the car window, but since it was tinted, I only saw a reflection of myself. During that flash. I saw something. …It was my OC. I really thought I saw my OC during that flash. It felt weird, seeing my OC as if it really was me. Another flash happened. And I saw it again. What’s going on? Shortly after, the thunder got louder. I quickly covered my ears from it being so loud. I was surprised my parents didn’t wake up because of it. I knew something was odd, but I can’t seem to understand this sudden thunderstorm. There was one more flash. I was still looking at the window to see if it would happen a third time. There it was again, my OC, staring directly at me. As if it was my own reflection. I stepped back, it started to gain my curiosity, while at the same time worrying me a bit. There was no way I could’ve seen my OC, but I did, three times. I look up at the clouds, and there was one last flash. Though this flash seemed stronger than the last ones, I thought I was blinded at first. Then I blacked out. It was a normal day in Ponyville, the sun was out, the sky was clear. Everything seemed like things were going to be fine. There were two loud knocks coming from Twilight Sparkle’s door. “I’ll get it, Spike.” Said Twilight, curious of who was there. Twilight had just woken up a few minutes ago, getting ready to start another new day with her friends. Twilight opens the door, only to see Pinkie Pie waiting behind it. “Hiya Twilight!” Pinkie said, she had a happy look on her face, almost like she was excited for something. “Hey Pinkie, what brings you here?” Twilight asked curiously. “To see if you wanted to come to my party, silly!” Pinkie said. Twilight tilted her head, “Party? What for?” she asked. “Well duh! To celebrate all of us being friends for 6 months already!” Pinkie said with an excited face. “It’s been that long already?” Twilight asked, with a curious look. “Yep! Time flies by fast when you’re having fun!” Pinkie giggles. “Sure, I’ll go, when does it start?” Twilight asked happily. “It starts in about an hour, don’t be late!” Pinkie says while bouncing off. “Alright, I have one hour to prep for the party.” Twilight said. She walked off to let her friends know about Pinkie’s party, that is, if Pinkie didn’t tell them first. She looked up at the sky, it was clear. The weather team didn’t schedule any rain, so she didn’t have to worry about the weather. She walked off to Fluttershy’s cottage to tell her about the party. Just when she was about to knock, there was a loud thunder. ‘Huh?’ Twilight thought, ‘I thought it wasn’t going to rain today?’ She looked up, and there wasn’t a cloud in sight. ‘What? Is…is someone trying to prank me?’ She thought. She shrugged at the thought, and knocked three times on Fluttershy’s door. “Just…just a second!” A pony said behind the door, Twilight could hear multiple animals inside the house. The door opened, showing Fluttershy behind it. “Hey Fluttershy! Did Pinkie tell you about her party?” Twilight asked. “Um, no. I don’t think so…I’ve been busy feeding the animals.” Fluttershy responded. “Well, I’d thought I’d come over and help Pinkie delivering the message.” Twilight said. “Sounds like fun. When’s it start?” Fluttershy asked. “In about an hour.” Twilight responded, “Pinkie doesn’t want us to be late for some reason.” “Okay, I’ll be there.” Fluttershy said. Another loud thunder came. Twilight and Fluttershy jumped at the surprise sound. They both looked up, only to see the dark clouds in the sky. “Huh? Just a second ago it was clear.” Twilight said, “How did it get so cloudy in just a few seconds?” “Maybe the weather team scheduled a surprise storm?” Fluttershy suggested. “Sounds like the only reason, I guess.” Twilight said, still confused about the surprise thunderstorm. There was a flash, followed by thunder. Twilight shrugged, “I guess I’ll just wait home until the storm ends.” “Yeah, me too…” Fluttershy said. Fluttershy closed the door, leaving Twilight walking home alone. There was another flash, followed by thunder. ‘It’s still odd though,’ Twilight thought, ‘when and how did this surprise storm show up so quickly?’ There was yet another flash, followed by thunder. Twilight thought about the third flash, it seemed like it was brighter than the last two. What if the weather team didn’t plan a storm? Perhaps this was something new altogether? There was a fourth and final flash, also followed by thunder. This last flash was brighter all the other ones, the thunder also being extremely loud. Twilight could see the thunder hit the ground nearby before being blinded. After gaining her eyesight back shortly after, she looked up and noticed the dark clouds were gone. What had just happened? She then notices she’s completely dry, it was almost like it never rained. She glares to where the lightning hit, only to see a small fire. Surprised by the small file, she runs off to try to extinguish it. She was shocked at what she saw. She saw a small ring of fire, surrounding a dark blue stallion who looks like he fainted. Whatever happened, he was unconscious, and Twilight was probably the only one there to help him. She casted a spell to extinguish the fire, before it would spread anywhere. Once the fire was extinguished, all she needed to worry about was the unconscious stallion. She lifted him up and carried him on her back. He was heavy, but she used every ounce of strength she had to at least drag him to her house until he woke up. Bouncing around, Pinkie sees Twilight carrying the unconscious stallion. “Hiya Twilight! What are you doing?” Pinkie asked, curiously. “This stallion was knocked unconscious.” Twilight responded, “I’m not quite sure how. But I think it had something to do with that random thunderstorm.” “You saw that too?” Pinkie asked, “I thought I was imagining it!” “I need to take him to someplace safe for now.” Twilight said. “Okie Dokie Lokie!” Pinkie said, “Mind if I help?” “I would kind of need it, Pinkie.” Twilight said, “He’s a lot heavier than I imagined.” Pinkie grabbed on to the uncounscious stallion, helping Twilight carry him to her house. After arriving to Twilight’s house, they went up into the guest bedroom, and placed the unconscious stallion in the guest bed. “Ugh,” Twilight groaned, “thanks again for helping, Pinkie.” “No problem!” Pinkie said, “So now what do we do?” “We wait for him to wake up,” Twilight said, “I have a few questions for him.” “Like why he has no cutie mark?” Pinkie asked. “Huh?” Twilight said, she didn’t notice this stallion didn’t have a cutie mark. It only opened up another question to ask. “Well Pinkie, I’m gonna head downstairs.” Twilight said, “Are you just gonna stare at him until he wakes up?” “No, but it’s just that I’ve never seen him before.” Pinkie said, “And I know everypony in ponyville.” “Maybe he’s not from here, Pinkie.” Twilight said, “Let’s just give him time to wake up.” They both walked off downstairs while they waited for the unknown stallion to wake up. After I blacked out, I’m not sure if what I saw was a dream or not. I guess it didn’t matter at the time, but it was still weird that I experienced this. I was in a dark room, at least, it looked dark. The only thing I could see was myself, as if there was some light. When I did look at myself, I did notice something even odder than the rest of the events that had occurred. I was a pony. A dark blue stallion, with red mane and tail, and wings that matched the color of my body. Thinking it was a dream, I went along with it. I started walking forward a bit, though since I was a pony, I had trouble doing so. Though when I did start making progress, I could see something over at the distance. It looked like a cyan color, I decided to walk over there, since it was the only thing left in this room besides me. After getting a bit closer, I could see several more colors, almost like a rainbow. After getting halfway close, I could make out what it was. It was a pony, though I couldn’t seem to recognize who it was. I could tell the pony was facing the other direction, so whoever it was, they didn’t know I was walking behind them. After a few more steps, I finally reached them. Before I could even say anything to the cyan pony, the room lit up. I was somewhere, though I couldn’t tell where I was. It looked like I was on a cloud, along with the cyan pony. I looked back at the cyan pony, only to see it was sitting. It looked like it was…crying, for some reason. Her hooves were covering her face, something serious must’ve happened to cause this pony so much sadness. I walked over to the edge of the cloud where the pony was sitting. I wanted to see if I could comfort it, or at least have it calm down. I sat down next to the pony, only to see it was a girl. At least I knew her gender, now. “Are…Are you okay?” I asked, hoping to get an answer. She looked up, holding back her tears as hard as she could. She sniffled, she looked at me and hugged me. During that hug, something made me hug her back. It was almost like I knew what happened, and I was comforting her. Almost like I knew her, like…I loved her…And she loved me back… “Thanks for always being there for me, George…” The cyan pony said, holding me tighter. After that, everything started to vanish. Leaving me in the black room again. I felt like something else was going to happen, though. Shortly after, the whole room became bright. I couldn’t even see anything anymore due to it being so bright. …I can’t remember anything else after that. I must’ve blacked out again, or maybe I actually was dreaming. And if I was, what did it mean? Was this something that was going to happen in the future? Was my mind playing a trick on me? So many thoughts ran through my mind. That’s when I realized, I can’t remember anything. That last thought caught me by surprise before I fell unconscious. Whatever was going to happen next was going to be entirely new for me. The dark blue pony had awoken, not aware of what was happening. ‘Ugh…Wha…What happened.’ He thought, ‘I…I can’t remember anything…’ He looked at his surroundings, he was in a room, somewhere. He was in bed, how’d he get here anyways? “Um…Anyone here…?” He asked, hoping someone was here to give him answers. Twilight heard the voice upstairs. “Looks like he’s awake.” Twilight said. “Oooh! Does that mean we can throw a party for him?” Pinkie asked. “I don’t think that’s such a good idea at this very moment, Pinkie.” Twilight suggested. “Aww, okay…” Pinkie said, “Does that mean the other party I have planned is off too?” “As long as he can manage on his own.” Twilight said, “Otherwise we may have to cancel it while I help him.” “Okie Dokie Lokie!” Pinkie said, “I’ll go tell the others!” Pinkie ran out of the house, rushing to tell her friends that the party was canceled. “Hello…? Am I alone in here?” A voice upstairs said. Twilight walked upstairs to meet the unknown stallion, and get some answers from him. “I’m here, don’t worry.” Twilight said, entering the room. The stallion looked around curiously, then looked over to Twilight. “Where…where am I?” The stallion asked, looking confused at the whole situation. “You’re in the guest bedroom, in my house.” Twilight said, “I found you unconscious outside.” The stallion looked at himself, noticing he was a pony. “Am…am I still dreaming?” The stallion said, looking back at Twilight. “Huh? I…I don’t think so.” Twilight said, curious of this stallion’s condition. The stallion tries to get off the bed, but ends up falling off the bed with the blanket wrapped around him. “Are you okay?” Twilight asked, she didn’t ask any questions regarding him or anything related after that. “Yeah…I’m fine,” The stallion said, “I’m just…a bit confused at the moment. Mind helping me out of this?” Twilight used her magic to remove the blanket off of him, and laid it down on the guest bed. “So, now that you’re awake. I have a few questions for you.” Twilight said. “Not sure if I’ll be able to answer them, I can’t seem to remember anything.” The stallion said, getting up from the floor. “What about your name? Do you at least remember that?” Twilight asked, slightly worried about the stallion’s memory loss. “Not…not really.” The stallion said, “The only thing I can remember was some dream I had…” Twilight tilted her head, “Dream? What dream?” she asked. “It’s…it’s nothing, it’s not that important anyways.” The stallion said, trying to change the subject, “So, what’s your name anyways?” “Oh! I was so focused on asking you questions that I forgot to introduce myself.” Twilight said, “My name is Twilight Sparkle.” “Twilight, nice name.” The stallion said, “If only I knew my name, so I could introduce myself better.” He turned his head down, facing the floor. Saddened about not even being able to remember his own name. “Don’t worry, you’ll get your memory back.” Twilight said, “And I’ll be right here helping you along the way.” The stallion lifted his head up, slightly cheerful. “Thanks Twilight.” The stallion said, “Something tells me we’re going to become good friends.” Twilight smiled, she was glad to help the stallion recover his memory in any way she can. “Y’know, now that I think about it…I think there is a spell that could help you with your memory.” Twilight said, “I’m just not sure if I’ll be able to do it.” “Well, there’s no harm in trying…right?” The stallion said. “Well, I guess not!” Twilight said, eager to help the stallion with his memory. It would also help her answer her questions anyways, it’s a win-win at this point. They both walked downstairs, the stallion was surprised to see all of the books that Twilight had. “It’s like a library in here.” The stallion said, amazed at all the books there were. “Pretty much, I got a book for almost everything.” Twilight said, “Let me see if I can find the book on memory loss, take a seat.” As the stallion sat down, he started thinking about what his name was. He started thinking of multiple different names in his head, hoping to find something that would be similar to his name. “Spiiike!” Twilight shouted, “I need you to help me find a book!” ‘Welp, I can check that off my list.’ The stallion thought. “Coming!” a voice upstairs said. The stallion heard footsteps on the staircase behind him, he looked back to see the baby dragon Twilight referred to as Spike. “Oh, he’s awake.” Spike said, “Nice to meet you, I’m Spike.” Spike moved his hand out, waiting for the stallion to give him a handshake. “Nice to meet you, Spike.” The stallion said, reaching his arm out to give him a handshake. “I’m not quite sure what my name is though.” “Huh?” The baby dragon said, “What do you mean?” The stallion shrugged, “Ask Twilight, she needs you to help get a book anyways.” Spike looked at Twilight, and walked off to help her find the book she needed. “So uh, what book are we looking for?” Spike asked. “A book on memory loss, or a book on recovering memory.” Twilight said, “Both could help.” “Ah, I know where those are.” Spike said. He walked to a corner of the room, and grabbed two books. “Here you go.” Spike said, giving the books to Twilight. “Thanks Spike!” Twilight said, walking off to the table with the books. Spike looked at the stallion, he had an idea of what he ment after he got those books. “So, you lost your memory?” He asked. The stallion looked at him, and nodded. “That explains a lot.” Spike said. “Though, I have a perfect memory of a dream I had.” The stallion said. “Dream? What dream?” Spike asked, curious of the dream the stallion had. 3 loud knocks came from the door. “Ugh, I’ll get it…” Spike said, walking to the door. Spike opened the door, all her friends were behind the door. The stallion looked at the crowd behind the door. He noticed the cyan pony with the rainbow mane and tail that was in his dream. He looked in shock, he thought it was just a dream. But here she was, she was real. So many things rolled in his mind. Why did he dream of her? What was he dreaming about? Was this dream something that was gonna happen in the future? “Woah, what’s going on?” Spike said. “We heard about the unconscious stallion…” Fluttershy said, “We’d thought we’d come see how everything was.” “I’ll…I’ll just be in the guest room...” The stallion got up and walked upstairs. Everyone looked at him, as he quickly walked up the staircase. “…What’s his problem?” Rainbow Dash asked. “I’m not sure.” Twilight said. “Twi, shouldn’t you go check on him?” Applejack asked. “You wouldn’t want him to faint again.” Fluttershy added. “He’s not gonna faint again, though I should go check on him.” Twilight said, slightly worried. Twilight got up and walked up the stairs, and walked into the guest room. “Hey, are you okay?” Twilight asked. “…At least I know something.” The stallion said. “Huh?” Twilight said, “What do you mean?” “My name.” The stallion said, “It’s George.” “Well, glad you know your name.” Twilight said, “How’d you figure it out?” “The dream I had.” George said, “Twilight, I might need to tell you about it.” Twilight tilted her head, she was curious about this dream he had. “I’ll wait for your friends to leave though,” George said, “I don’t want to keep them waiting.” Twilight gave him a serious look. “George, I don’t think they’re gonna mind.” Twilight said, “They were the ones who asked me to check on you in the first place.” George sighed, “Alright then.” “…Then it felt like I passed out, and then I woke up.” George said. Twilight stared at him, surprised. “Are you sure all that happened?” Twilight asked. George nodded, “Yeah, I’m sure.” He said, “I remember every single detail, almost like it really happened.” “Well, it sounds like you dreamt of my friend, Rainbow Dash.” Twilight mentioned. “It’s still odd though…” George mumbled. “What do you mean?” Twilight asked. “I’ve never met her in my life,” George said, “yet my dream still involved her somehow. Perhaps it was something that was going to happen in the future?” “Maybe, but I’ve never had a dream like that.” Twilight said, “Neither have I heard of anyone having a dream like that. Maybe you’ve met Rainbow Dash before, and just don’t remember it?” “Twilight, I think I should get to know your friends a little more.” George said. “You sure?” Twilight said. “Yeah, if my dream involves her.” George said, “Then I have to get to know her.” George got up from the bed, walked outside the room, and started going down the stairs with Twilight. ‘Let’s just hope my name is really George…’ he thought. After they walked down the stairs, they were both greeted by Twilight’s friends. “Finally! You came down from there!” Dash said. ‘…This is the girl who acted so sensitive in my dream?’ George thought, ‘Well, for all I know it could just be an act. Guess I’m gonna have to know her better.’ “What took so long up there, Twi?” Applejack asked. “He was telling me about a dream he had,” Twilight said, “If it wasn’t for that dream, he probably wouldn’t have remembered his name.” “Oh goodness.” Fluttershy said, “What do you mean?” “His entire memory is gone.” Twilight said, “The only thing he can remember is his dream, and his name.” Pinkie suddenly appeared behind George, with apparently a cupcake. “Surprise!” Pinkie jumped, scaring George. George jumped up in surprise. Almost high enough to hit the roof above him. After landing, George turned around to face Pinkie, and looked at her seriously. “Why did you do that!?” George asked. “I made a cupcake to celebrate you remembering your name!” Pinkie said, giving the cupcake to George. “Wha…” George mumbled, looked at the cupcake, and then looked back where Pinkie was. “How did you…” Pinkie wasn’t there anymore. “…She’s quick.” George said. “And random, don’t forget random.” Twilight added. George turned to Twilight and ate the cupcake, “You mean that’s normal for her?” he asked. “Yeah. Every day is almost like this with Pinkie Pie.” Twilight said. “Strange name.” George mumbled, “It does match her color and her love for sweets, I assume.” Twilight nodded. George shrugged, and turned to face Twilight’s friends. “…Not sure how to introduce myself.” George mumbled. “Just go say your name and give them a hoofshake or something.” Twilight mumbled. George sighed. ‘It can’t get any more awkward than this…’ He thought, ‘Welp, here I go.’ “Allow me to introduce myself.” He said, “My name is George.” “Um…My name’s…Fluttershy…” She said, quietly mumbling her name. George looked at Fluttershy curiously. “Shy, aren’t you?” George said, “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” Trying to cheer up the shy pony. “I’m Applejack, nice to meet ya George.” Applejack said. ‘Huh, everyone has unique talents and personalities.’ George thought, ‘I need to focus on Rainbow Dash for now though.’ “Nice to meet you Applejack.” George said. He looked up to the only ones who haven’t introduced themselves. “I’m Rarity. I truly am sad to hear about your memory loss, dear.” Rarity said. George shrugged, “Don’t worry about it, it’ll all come back to me.” George looked at Rainbow Dash, while although knowing her name, he needed to get her to introduce herself. “What about you? What’s your name?” He asked. “The name’s Rainbow Dash.” Dash said, “I’m the fastest flyer in all of Ponyville.” “Sounds like you’re pretty competitive.” George said, “We might get along quite well.” “You think you can beat me in a race?” Dash asked, challenging George. “No. But I bet I could beat you in other challenges.” George said, “The fact my memory’s gone means I don’t know how to use these things.” Pointing to his wings. “Maybe I could teach you, that is, if you’re brave enough.” Dash said. “Doesn’t seem like much of a challenge, now does it?” George said. Dash stopped for a moment. “Alright, I’ll teach you to fly. But once you get the hang of it. I want to see if you could beat me in a race.” She said. “Alright, sounds like a plan.” George smirked. Somehow he knew that he couldn’t turn down a challenge like that. Dash smirked, she figured George must’ve been a tough pony to challenge. Though she knew she could beat him in a race. George shrugged, “I’ll just be in the room then, it was nice meeting you all. I still have a lot to think about.” He said. George walked up the stairs, halfway through, he stopped. “Dash, when’s training start?” He asked. “How’s tomorrow sound?” Dash asked. “Sounds great, I got nothing else to do anyways.” George said, with a smirk on his face. Twilight looked outside, it was almost night. “Huh, time really flew by fast today.” She said. George heard about the time, and looked outside the window. ‘Huh…She’s right.’ He thought, ‘Just a few minutes ago it was daytime. How odd.’ George got in bed, and tried falling asleep. I woke up again. Here I am, in the black room again. At least now I know who was the one crying in my dream. Though I noticed it. She was there again. “Dash…?” I said. While having no control over what I said. Suddenly my body moves on its own, I’m now running to Rainbow Dash for some reason, perhaps to comfort her again like last time? I sat down next to her, at the edge of the cloud. Just like last time. I still couldn’t speak or move, either my dream was trying to tell me something, or this was a big joke. “Dash…Are you okay?” I asked. She was sobbing, just like last time. She looked up, and tried fighting her tears again. Then she looked at me, this time I noticed something. She blushed a bit. Then she hugged me. I wasn’t sure if this was a joke anymore, it was really like my dream was telling me something. “Thanks for always being there for me, George…” Dash said, hugging me tighter. “Dash, you know I’ll always be here for you.” I said. This was something entirely new, I got to see more of what was happening before the dream ended. Dash looked at me. “I know…Now I finally understand.” She said. “Hm?” I said, “Understand what?” “That…I love…” Dash said, before she could finish that sentence, everything vanished again. She loved what? Me? I needed to see more of this, but I guess it’d have to wait for the next time I sleep, that is if this dream happens again. This time I was in the black room again. But I could see someone in the distance. It was Dash, was the whole thing going to replay itself? “Dash!” I said, suddenly having control of myself. I could tell she heard me. She looked right at me, then everything became bright. The dream was over, and I woke up back into reality. George had woken up, suddenly aware about his second dream. He was going to learn how to use his wings today, so he forgot about it for now. He got up, and walked downstairs. “Going somewhere?” Twilight said. George looked back at Twilight, who apparently had just woken up as well. “Yeah,” he said, “Dash said she was gonna teach me how to fly, remember?” “Yeah.” Twilight said, “Though I did find a way to repair some of your memory.” “Really?” George said, “Neat!” Twilight’s horn glowed, she was casting a spell on George to help recover his memory. “Did it work?” She asked. George shrugged, “Don’t think so. Maybe it has a delay?” “I guess.” Twilight said. “You guess?” George asked. “Yeah, this spell is supposed to help cover some of your memory.” Twilight said, “Maybe it just doesn’t work.” George shrugged, “Well, I guess I’ll be heading off.” “Oh, wait. Before I forget.” He said, “I had the same dream this time, Twilight.” “Huh?” Twilight said, “The exact same dream?” “Yeah, the only differences were that I could speak on my own. My dream forced me to speak against my will. And Dash said something, but then I woke up before she could finish the sentence.” George explained. “What was it?” Twilight asked, her head tilted, full of curiosity. “She said she finally understood something…she loved...something.” George said, “The dream ended before she could say what it was that she loved.” “Huh.” Twilight said, “You think it’ll happen again?” “I wouldn’t doubt it.” George said. “Well, Rainbow Dash said she’d be waiting for you in the tree outside. You’ll see it when you step outside.” Twilight said. George nodded, and walked off to meet with Rainbow Dash. “Glad to see you awake, sleepyhead.” Dash said. “Aw, missed me?” George said, trying to tease Dash a bit. “Please, I hardly even know you.” Dash said. “Alright. Let’s just get this training over with.” George said. Dash nodded. “First off, do you at least know how to move your wings?” She asked. “Not sure. Let me check.” George asked. He opened his wings, then closed them. “Yep, I know how to move them.” Dash giggled a bit, but not enough for George to notice it. “Good, at least that memory loss hasn’t affected on your wings.” She said. “So, how do I do this? I’m entirely new to flying and I kinda feel like an idiot.” He said. “You just need to flap your wings. It takes a while to get the hang of it.” Dash said, “I’ll help you out if you start having problems.” About 2 and a half hours later. “Dash.” George said. “I’m tired, I need to take a break.” “Fine.” Dash said. “But don’t complain to me when you forget how to fly again.” George landed on the ground and sat next to the tree, leaning back on it for a while. Dash sat down next to him, also leaning on the tree. “So, what now?” Dash asked. “We just sit here and relax, I guess.” George said. “I didn’t want to mention this.” Dash said, “But I’m not sure anymore.” “Huh?” George said. “Mention what?” “I had a dream…” Dash said, “You were in it.” George suddenly looked at Dash. “What was the dream?” George asked, suddenly curious and worried about what Dash was about to say. “I was in a cloud…crying.” Dash said, “You walked by, and asked if I was okay. And…I hugged you…” “Uh…” George said, “Would you believe me if I told you I had that dream too?” “The exact same dream?” Dash asked, “I had this dream for two nights now.” “Yeah. The exact same dream.” George said, “Two nights in a row.” “That’s kinda weird how we both had the same dream.” Dash said. “You better not be playing some joke, George.” “I can prove it.” George said, “You thanked me for always being there for you, then you hugged me. Then you were about to say you loved something, but you never finished your sentence. The dream ended before you could finish.” “Yeah…after that, I was in a dark room, and I heard you yelling my name. I tried to look at you, but then the whole room went bright after that.” George looked at Dash, suddenly surprised at what he heard. “What?” He asked. Dash looked at George, “What? Did I say something wrong?” She asked. “It’s not that you said anything wrong.” George said. “It’s that I was trying to get your attention when I yelled at you. I thought you were just part of the dream.” Dash blinked. “Seriously?” She said. “Yeah.” George said. “It’s really weird.” Dash and George both looked up at the sky. Relaxing. It was unlike Dash to just sit and relax. Normally she’d be out in the sky practicing her moves for the Wonderbolts, her favorite flying group. But, she enjoyed relaxing this one time next to George. It was almost as if… “Dash.” George said, “I know we’ve just met and all, but.” Dash looked at him. “Yeah?” She asked. “I just wanted to ask you…How did you even react to the dream?” George asked. Dash blushed slightly, George wasn’t looking, so she didn’t try to hide it. “Maybe the dream was trying to tell us something?” Dash said. “I wouldn’t doubt it at this point.” George said. “I just don’t see why you’d be crying. You don’t seem like the crying type.” “I could be sensitive whenever I wanted to.” Dash said. “While I may act all tough, I still have feeling on the inside.” “That’s true…” George said, slowly falling asleep. “Of course it’s true…” Dash said, slowly losing her focus as she was slowly falling asleep too. George looked at Dash straight in the eyes, and smiled, not even realizing what he was doing. He was already half asleep at this point. Dash looked at George in the eyes, she blushed a bit. George had fallen asleep, leaving dash half asleep. Dash scooted closer to George. She hadn’t realized what she did, once she laid her head on top of George, she had fallen asleep. She had small feelings for him, those dreams she had laid a new perspective on how she saw George. So here I was again. In the black room. Did I fall asleep again? What about Dash? Did she fall asleep too? Last I saw her, she was looking right at me before I fell asleep. What did she really feel about me? I had so many questions, but I knew this dream wouldn’t answer them. I only hoped Dash hadn’t been experiencing the same dream as I am right now. I ran off to Dash, still unable to move. I assume I’ll get to see more now. “Dash…Are you okay?” I asked, being the second time I asked this already, I knew what was going to happen. She was sobbing, just like last two times. She looked up, and tried fighting her tears again. Then she looked at me. I noticed her blushing again. Then she hugged me. This third dream confirmed that it was trying to tell me something. Or at least show me of what would be. “Thanks for always being there for me, George…” Dash said, hugging me tighter. “Dash, you know I’ll always be here for you.” I said. This was it, would I get to see more of what would happen? Dash looked at me. “I know…Now I finally understand.” She said. “Hm?” I said, “Understand what?” “That…I love you…” Dash said, “I finally understand how I felt about you.” “Dash…” I said. Suddenly curious of what was gonna happen next. “All this time I felt weird when I was around you, ever since I helped you learn how to fly.” Dash said, “I’ve secretly loved you, I didn’t even know it until now…” I was really hoping the dream wouldn’t end so soon, and if Dash was still here too, she probably would be just as curious as I am. Dash looked at me, and pressed her lips against mine. She was kissing me. I still didn’t have any voluntary movement. At first I felt shocked, then all of a sudden I closed my eyes, and I started following along. If it wasn’t this dream making me feel that way. I could’ve said I didn’t enjoy that that kiss… But, I actually felt it. And I surprisingly enjoyed it. This time the dream allowed me to at least control how I felt. Did this mean…I’m in love with Dash? Yet I hardly know her, I’ve only known her for like a day and a half. After what felt like two minutes, I broke the kiss, still unable to move or talk. I opened my eyes, Dash was blushing, more than the last time I saw her. Dash opened her eyes, she looked at me, and smiled. I wasn’t sure if she enjoyed the kiss as much as I did. If the dream allowed me to control how I felt, then it most likely did the same for her. “I love you too…” I said. This dream lasted longer than both of the dreams have, is this cause I fell asleep next to Dash? She smiled, and nuzzled into my chest. It looked like she was falling asleep on me. I smiled, and laid back, letting Dash get more comfortable. After that. Everything vanished. I saw everything that was gonna happen. Though I was still curious about the whole thing. Here I was, lying down in the dark room. I got up, and I saw Dash in the distance. “George!” She yelled. “Dash?” I yelled. She looked like she was gonna say something, but the room got bright again. The dream was ending. I closed my eyes to see if I could stay in the dream a bit longer. When I opened them, the room was dark again, and Dash was gone. “Very smart of you to close your eyes.” A voice said, apparently behind me. I turned around, and I saw…someone. “Who…who are you?” I asked. “In a way, I’m you.” He said, “Well, at least. I’m the fragment of your memory that Twilight was able to recover somehow.” “You mean that spell worked?” I asked. He nodded, “Also, you might want to look at what’s going on outside the dreamscape.” “What? How would I do that?” I asked. “It’s your mind, George. Think about it.” He said. He slowly faded away, it looked like he slowly turned into smoke, and the smoke went all around me. I coughed a bit and inhaled the smoke. I could feel more of my memories coming together. But it wasn’t everything I needed. At least I could remember a few things. …That’s when I noticed something. When I used to talk to myself, I never thought I’d actually talk to myself in person. At least I have some memory, just the ones I need for the moment. I didn’t want to take too long, since that fragment of my memory said I’d should see what was going on. I thought about the view outside the dream, and suddenly the black room matched all my surroundings. I could see what was going on in my sleep now. Dash woke up, blushing. She looked at George, who was also blushing a bit. She was surprised she fell asleep right next to George, her head even lying on top of him. Though at the same time, something told her to. She enjoyed the nap, but she was worried he would wake up and see her like this. She already knew he probably would’ve experienced the same dream as her, which made her more nervous. “That dream…It really changed the way I look at you George.” She said, knowing he was still asleep to not hear it. Dash leaned closer to him, still blushing, and kissed him on the cheek. George blushed a bit more than he was, and smiled. Dash flew off before George could wake up and see her the way she was. She still didn’t know how she felt yet, she’d need to wait for that moment to happen in real life before she could finally know she was in love with him. She enjoyed that kiss, even if it was a dream. She had a feeling it was something that was gonna happen in the future, she was just waiting for it to happen. “I hardly know who he is…” She said, “But I still have these feelings…I need to get to know him better before I start something…” I looked in shock. Dash kissed me in the cheek, this dream changed the way she looked at me. Did we both fall in love with each other? When she flew away, I wanted to yell at her, but I knew she wouldn’t had heard me, since I was still in the dreamscape. Guess it’s time to work my way up to Dash…But, how am I gonna explain my memories to anypony…One minute I’m human, I get zapped with lightning or something, and now I’m a pony. It was thanks to the first dream I was able to walk, though. Bah, I even feel like I’m used to being a pony. Well, here I go… //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Working up to Dash //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Working up to Dash George awoke from his sleep, only to notice Rainbow Dash had left, just as he saw in the dreamscape. “Okay, so Dash really did leave.” George said, he looked at the direction where he saw Dash fly off to. He notices a house up in a cloud. “Huh, so that’s what Dash’s place looks like.” He said. George walked off to get near the cloud, and hopefully, thanks to the flying lessons he had with Dash, fly up to her house. Once George was able to get below the cloud, all he needed to do was fly up to the cloud to get to Dash’s house. George prepped up his wings, bended his legs, preparing to jump to give him a small boost. “Here goes nothing.” He said. George jumped up, and flapped his wings as fast as he could in order to go up. After about 3 minutes, he was able to reach the cloud. He grabbed on to the cloud and held on to it to help him get on the cloud. Once he got on the cloud, he stopped to rest for a minute. His wings were tired, he spent about 5 minutes just trying to get on the cloud where Dash’s house was. After collecting his thoughts and regaining some energy, George walked up to the door. “Should I really do this?” He thought, “I don’t want to get Dash mad or anything. I just want to talk, that’s all.” George gently knocked on the door two times, hoping to get an answer. “Nothing.” He thought. George knocked on the door slightly harder, hoping Dash would hear it. The door opened, showing Dash behind it. “Gah!” Dash squeaked, “George! How did you find me!?” She asked, slightly blushing. “I saw where you flew off to, and I headed in that direction.” George said. Dash looked at him with a serious look. “George.” Dash said, “You…you were asleep.” “Yeah.” George said, “That dream has lots of nifty things. I was able to see what happened in my sleep” Dash was shocked, she was nervous that George could have seen her kiss him in the cheek. “So um…What did you see?” Dash asked. “Well, I got back some of my memory in the dreamscape.” George said, “Then I saw where you flew off to.” Dash felt relieved when she heard that, she was convinced George hadn’t seen her kiss him in the cheek. “Well, glad you got your memory back.” Dash said. “Thanks.” George said, “Mind if I come in? I’m insanely tired, I spent like 5 minutes just trying to get up here.” Dash smiled, “Glad to see those flying lessons paid off.” She said. “Not enough though.” George said, “Maybe with a little more training I can fly without getting tired in 5 minutes.” “Yeah, that’s not normal for a pegasus now that you mention it.” Dash said, “Come in.” Dash walked away from the door, letting George walk inside. “Huh, nice place.” George said. “Thanks.” Dash said. Dash glared off to where she had left her ticket for the Grand Galloping Gala, hoping George wouldn’t notice it. If she ever did start dating him before the Grand Galloping Gala, she wouldn’t be able to take him with her. “I gotta say, you’ve done a better job decorating than I thought.” George said. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Dash asked. “Well, with you being a mare. I’d expect you’d have different tastes.” George said, “I expected some ‘girly’ things.” “I don’t do ‘girly’.” Dash said. “It’s not my thing.” “You didn’t look like it in that dream.” George said, giving a smirk after saying that. Dash blushed slightly, “T-that was just a dream!” she said, “H-how do expect me to act the same way in a dream?” George noticed the blush, though he pretended he didn’t notice. “I never said I expected it.” He said, “All I said is you didn’t act the same way in the dream.” Dash sighed, she felt teased by that sentence. “S-so.” Dash said, trying to change the subject, “You got part of your memory back. Does that mean I’ll get to know you any better?” George smiled, he was finally able to answer some questions Dash would want to ask. Same goes for Twilight as well. “Yeah.” George said, “Ask me anything you’d like. I’ll…try to answer it.” Dash smiled, she was happy to hear she was able to ask George anything she’d like to know about. If she wanted to at least give him a shot, she’d at least need to get to know him better. “Alright, let me think.” Dash said, “Where are you from?” “I knew you were going to ask that.” George said, “Thing is, not sure you’ll believe me if I tell you.” “Huh? What do you mean?” Dash asked. “C’mon, I think it’s time I told Twilight I got my memory back.” George said, “…Though I might need your help getting off your cloud.” Dash groaned, “Fine, but if you somehow come back up here, I won’t be helping you down. You’ll either have to stay here, or fall down on your own.” “Does that mean I’ll get to spend the night here?” George said with a smirk, trying to tease Dash. “I-i never said that!” Dash said as she slightly blushed. George chuckled, “It’s okay, I was kidding, relax.” He said. Dash sighed, she was tired of being teased like that. “C’mon. Let’s just get this over with.” George said. George knocked on Twilight’s door hard enough for her to hear it. “I got it!” A voice behind the door said. The door opened, showing Twilight behind it. “Oh hey guys!” Twilight said, “Something wrong?” “Twilight. I think I’m able to answer some of your questions now.” George said. Twilight looked in surprise, “You got your memory back?” she asked. George nodded, “Some of it.” He said. “Well, having some of your memory is better than having no memory at all.” Twilight said. George and Dash walked inside, and found a place to sit. “So then, I guess I should start off with my first question.” Twilight said, “Where are you from?” “I’ve been wanting to know too.” Dash added, “But he told me he needed to tell you first.” Twilight looked at George in confusion. “Why did you need to tell me first?” Twilight asked. “Because if I told Dash first, she’d probably call me crazy or something.” George responded. “What do you mean?” Twilight asked. ‘Please don’t call me crazy…’ George thought. “I’m…I’m from another universe. Or something.” George said. “And now I see why you thought I’d call you crazy.” Dash said, “You ARE crazy!” “Rainbow Dash!” Twilight yelled, obviously mad at Dash for saying that. “What?” Dash asked. Twilight looked back at George, who obviously was hurt by Dash. “Another universe…” Twilight said, “I think I’ve read that somewhere.” George looked in surprise, “You have?” he asked. Twilight hovered a book towards her, opening up the book to find the page she was looking for. “Yeah. It’s right here.” Twilight said, “There have been multiple claims of other universes, but no one’s had any actual proof of it.” “Twilight, I have a small question.” George said. “Sure, what is it?” Twilight asked. “Well…Did you experience a random thunderstorm or anything?” George said. Twilight looked in shock. She thought George was unconscious when that happened. “Y-you saw that too!?” She asked. “So I was right.” George said, “It happened here, too.” “It happened in your universe?” Twilight asked, suddenly intrigued by all of this. Dash looks at George, surprised by all of this. “Yeah.” George said, “It rained pretty hard, but I didn’t get wet at all. I was completely dry.” “Yeah. That happened to me too.” Twilight said, still surprised to hear this. “Looks like that obviously brought me into your universe, Twilight.” George said. “Well, shouldn’t we be finding a way to send you home?” Twilight asked. “Well, I’m not sure. I’m starting to like it here, even if I have been here for a few days.” George said as he looked at Dash. “Well, how does that explain you not knowing how to fly?” Dash asked. “I don’t have all of my memories. So I’m not exactly sure.” George said, “All I can pretty much remember is being in a different body or something.” “Different body? So ponies in your universe don’t look like the way we do?” Twilight asked. “Well, in my universe, I was…I was human.” George responded. “Human?” Twilight asked as she tilted her head. “You know how Spike walks on his legs and has arms and hands?” George asked. “Sure. That’s normal for baby dragons.” Twilight said. “Think of humans like that, except taller, and without those scales.” George said. “I assume that first dream you had before waking up in Equestria helped you to walk.” Twilight said. “Pretty much.” George said, “I’m not even sure if age applies from my universe.” “How old are you back home?” Twilight asked. “16 years old.” George replied, “But for all I know, I could be older due to this universe. I might as well assume I’m 18 or something.” “Perhaps.” Twilight said. “I’ve also wanted to talk to you abou---“ George said before being interrupted by Dash softly punching him. Dash looked at him, slightly blushing, embarrassed of what George was about to say. George looked at Dash, and noticed the blush. ‘…She doesn’t want anypony to know that I have a crush on her or she has a crush on me?’ George thought. Twilight looked at the both of them. Suddenly curious about what just happened. “…About what, George?” Twilight asked. “I’ll…I’ll talk about it later.” George said, looking back at Twilight. Twilight looked at Dash, who was slightly blushing and pissed at George. Twilight looked at George, still having a few questions she needed answered. “The whole me being here from another universe also might explain one minor detail.” George said. “What’s that?” Twilight asked. “Perhaps that thunderstorm caused the sudden time change yesterday.” George said. “Huh, I didn’t think of it like that.” Twilight said, “But I guess it doesn’t really matter much. It looks like Time is perfectly fine now.” George looks outside the window, there’s still some daylight out, looks like Twilight was right. “Well, it is getting a bit dark. Though I may have lost track of time since I was training with Dash and all.” George said. “Well, guess I better head home before it gets totally dark.” Dash said, “See ya guys tomorrow!” Dash got up, left the house, and flew home. George watched as Dash left, then looked at Twilight afterwards. “So, what was it you wanted to talk about before Dash interrupted?” Twilight asked. “The dream.” George said, “It kinda happened again. But I wasn’t alone when it happened.” “What?” Twilight asked in confusion, “What do you mean by you weren’t alone?” “Dash had the same dream. Every detail. We both somehow shared the dream.” George said. “…Is that what Dash got so upset about?” Twilight said, “Geez, it usually takes more than that to get her upset like that.” “The thing is, the events of the dream made me feel different about her. I’m not sure if it made her feel any different about me.” George said. Twilight realized what he meant by that, and smirked. “You like her. Don’t you?” Twilight said, still having that smirk on her face. “What? N-no!” George said, having a slight blush on his face. “Ha! You do like her! That blush is more than enough proof!” Twilight exclaimed. “Bah! It’s not like it matters anyways.” George said, “I’m not gonna start dating her all of a sudden, I’ve only known her for two freakin days.” Twilight wondered, and started thinking of ideas. “What about that dream? What happened in it?” She asked. George looked at Twilight, he knew she was planning something. “I’m not sure if I should even tell you anymore.” George said. “Aw come on! What if it’s important?” Twilight asked, trying to convince George to tell her the dream. “Ugh. Fine.” George said. “…And that’s what happened.” George said, finally finishing his story. Twilight looked in surprise, her mouth wide open. George’s eyes narrowed. “Not one word to anypony about the dream.” He said. Twilight collected her thoughts, and closed her mouth. “Alright. But I’m gonna help you get a chance to date Rainbow Dash.” Twilight said. “No. I don’t want you meddling around with me and Dash.” George said, “Why do you even want me to date her anyway?” “Dash has been alone for as long as I’ve known her, maybe longer.” Twilight said, “She doesn’t live with anybody but herself. She doesn’t have a sister, she doesn’t have a brother. I don’t even know where her parents are.” She continued, “Everypony else lives with either their sister, brother, granny, or their pets. I just thought if you were in her life, she wouldn’t be so alone anymore.” “It’s nice of you to try and help your friend, Twilight.” George said, “But I think I can handle getting a date with Dash on my own.” “Have you even gotten a date back in your universe?” Twilight asked, suddenly curious. “N…no.” George said. Twilight’s eyes narrowed, “Then how do you plan on getting a date with Rainbow Dash if you’ve never even dated a girl in your universe!?” She exclaimed. “I don’t know!” George exclaimed, “But I know I can do it!” “I’m helping, whether you like it or not.” Twilight said. “I don’t want you to meddle, Twilight. Seriously, don’t meddle.” George said. “Ugh. Fine…” Twilight whined. George smiled, “Good. And now I’ll be heading off to bed. I still have more flying lessons tomorrow.” George got up and walked off to his bed upstairs. Twilight smirked, and hovered a book towards her. “You’re still going to meddle, aren’t you…?” Spike asked. “Yep!” Twilight said. Two weeks later... George had woken up after another long day of training with Dash. He had pretty much gotten the hang of flying. He just needs to learn a few more things before he’s completely ready to fly. George trotted down the steps, he was happy to at least spend some time with Dash. Even if it was just flying lessons. As George exited, Twilight looked out the window. “I still think this is a bad idea, Twilight.” Spike said. “Relax, Spike. If everything goes well, not only will I have helped George get a date with Rainbow, but if they end up dating, I’ll have also helped her find somepony so she won’t be alone anymore!” Twilight said. “What if George ends up finding a way back home?” Spike said. “I--“ Twilight said, interrupting herself, “…You’re right. But if George really does like her, he might just stay.” “Making somepony stay against their will?” Spike said, “That’s so unlike you…” “I’m not making him stay against his will.” Twilight said, “You heard him, that dream changed the way he looks at her. I know he’ll stay for her.” Dash smiled, happy to see George again. “Hey Dash!” George said, “I’m ready to learn today!” “Great!” Dash said, “I almost thought you chickened out already.” “Please.” George scoffed, “I wouldn’t chicken out!” Dash smiled, “Good. Cause we’re pretty much at our final lesson.” “Yeah, I’ve gotten used to flying, I just need to get used to being able to control my path.” George said, “I assume that’s what this lesson’s for.” “Yep.” Dash said. George sat next to the tree they were training nearby. “Just give me a few minutes to get some energy. I just woke up.” George said, trying to spend a little time with Dash before this last lesson ended. “Alright, since you’ve been training for two weeks, I’ll let you have your little energy break.” Dash said. “I still haven’t gotten any of my other memories yet.” George said. “Well that stinks.” Dash said, “You’ll get your memory back. Maybe not today, but you’ll get it back.” “And maybe once I have all my memories, you’ll get to know me a lot better.” George said, smiling at the thought. Dash smiled, she enjoyed spending time with George, even though she didn’t know very much about him. George looked up, knowing he would be flying in the sky soon. He noticed something in the sky though, it was a pink sphere, almost like…a bubble? “Uh, is that a normal thing that happens in your universe?” George said as he pointed up to the pink bubble. Dash looked up, and noticed the bubble. “No, in fact I’ve never seen that before.” Dash said. “Should we ignore it?” George asked. “I don’t think we should.” Dash replied, “I’ve never seen that before, and I spend most of my time in the sky.” “Well, except for the two weeks you spent teaching me how to fly.” George added. “Yeah.” Dash said, “I’m gonna try and pop it!” “You sure that’s a good idea?” George said, “What if it’s a trap?” “Relax, George.” Dash said, “It’s just a pink bubble.” George looked at the bubble, he wasn’t so sure if it was ‘just a bubble’. Dash flew up as fast as she could, in attempt to pop the bubble. George just watched as Dash flew up to pop the bubble. Dash’s plan was to fly completely through the bubble in order to pop it. Instead, when she flew in, she was stuck inside the bubble. George’s eyes widened, Dash was trapped in the bubble, with probably no escape. “Dash!” George yelled. George quickly got up and flew up to try and save Dash. He was able to move up but he wasn’t able to control his path well, luckily the bubble was close enough for George to fly straight up. He went through the bubble, only to get stuck inside it as well. Inside the bubble, George and Dash were both blinded by the all the pink in the bubble. Dash tried to feel around to see if there was an exit. She felt something, but wasn’t sure that it was. She assumed it was the only thing there was, she grabbed on to it, and wrapped her arms and legs around it, hoping that maybe whatever it was might pop the bubble if she did something to it. George felt something holding onto him, still blinded, he was unsure of what it was. He assumed it was Dash looking for something to hold onto. The bubble suddenly began to move towards Twilight, who apparently was controlling the bubble. George and Dash only hoped that the bubble would pop, both were worried that they would die inside the bubble. The bubble floated closer to Twilight, once it was in her range, Twilight used her horn to poke the bubble, and it popped. George fell onto the ground on his back, with Dash still wrapped around him. “Ugh…” George said, “What happened…” George looks at what was still holding onto him, and finally sees it was Dash who wrapped herself around him. Dash looks up, noticing she was finally out of the bubble. Then notices what she was holding onto. Dash slowly turns her head and sees George, who was looking right at her. They both blushed slightly, just staring at each other. Wondering what just happened. “You alright?” George said. “Yeah…” Dash said. George was lost in her eyes for a moment, and then snapped back into reality. “Okay, Dash. You can get off now.” George said, really not wanting her to get off, however it was an awkward moment for them. Dash attempts to move herself off of George, only to realize that she can’t. “I...I can’t.” Dash said, blushing slightly deeper. “W-what do you mean you can’t?” George said. “I-I’m stuck!” Dash said, “Almost like I’m glued to you!” George’s eyes widened, his blush getting deeper. “Dash, seriously. Stop joking.” George said. Twilight quickly left before either of them to see her and realize she meddled. “I’m not joking!” Dash said. “You mean we’re stuck like this!?” George said, slowly panicking. “Let’s try and show this to Twilight, first.” Dash said, trying to calm George down. “Fine.” George said, “Hope you enjoy being upside down. I’m the only one who can still walk. Since you decided to wrap yourself around me, you aren’t able to walk.” “H-hey!” Dash said, “I-I was blind in there! I thought you were something else!” George sighed, “It’s alright, let’s just show this to Twilight before we start freaking out.” George slowly got up, trying not to hurt Dash who was right under him. And walked off to Twilight’s house. “Yep, you two are really glued together.” Twilight said. “There’s no way to fix this?” Dash asked, “I’m tired of being upside down.” “You’ve only been upside down for 5 minutes!” George exclaimed. “I know, but it gets really annoying after that amount of time!” Dash said. “Well, hope you like spending the whole day and night together!” Twilight said. “What!?” George and Dash exclaimed. “I can’t unglue you guys. There’s no spell here that fixes this!” Twilight said, “It only lasts for one day, though.” “A whole day, huh?” George said, looking down at Dash. “…What are you looking at me for?” Dash asked, wondering what was going on inside George’s head. “Well, we’re pretty much stuck together for the whole day, I just figured we could do something that won’t involve any walking or anything that would be irritating for the both of us.” George said. “I-I guess we could stay at my place until this wears off…” Dash said, slightly blushing. Twilight smiled as she watched at what was happening, she thought she finally helped George and Dash get together. “I-I guess…You sure you’ll be alright with that?” George asked, he liked the idea of spending more time with Dash. But it just seemed weird having to be stuck together in order to get this time to spend with her. “We kinda don’t have a choice, do we?” Dash asked. “Well, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to fly with this extra weight.” George said with a smirk. “H-hey!” Dash exclaimed, “What are you trying to say?” “Nothing!” George said, “I’m just saying, I was able to fly with my own weight, having you glued right to me might make it harder.” “Well you can try, right?” Dash asked, “And like, right now, please? I’m starting to get a bit dizzy from being upside down for so long.” George looked back up to Twilight. “Thanks for trying anyways, Twilight.” George said, “Guess I’ll be heading off.” “Alright. Just be careful you two!” Twilight said. George walked outside, and off to where Dash’s house was. “I still can’t believe you meddled with them.” Spike said. “Relax. Just look at them, they finally got some time to spend together!” Twilight said. “Wouldn’t that mean that George and Dash would have to sleep together?” Spike asked. “Well, yeah.” Twilight said, “But it’s not like they can do anything while she’s glued to him.” “What about when they wake up tomorrow?” Spike asked. “Well. Let’s just hope they don’t kill each other?” Twilight said, slightly worried of that, “Anyways, I need you to write a letter...” George looked up, they were right under Dash’s house. All they needed to do was fly there. “What’s taking so long!?” Dash exclaimed, “I’m starting to feel woozy…” “Relax, we’re here.” George replied, “I just need to fly us up to your house.” “Well hurry it up!” Dash said. “Geez. What happened to being so nice earlier?” George asked, looking back down at Dash. “Sorry. I-I’m losing my concentration, I didn’t mean to push you like that.” Dash said. “It’s unlike you to act this way, either apologizing or being a push-over. Neither of which seems to be the kind of thing you’d do.” George said. George looked back up, prepped his wings, and flew up…slowly. George grabbed on to the cloud, and used his wings to help pull himself up. George finally got on the cloud, and walked inside Dash’s house. “You leave your door unlocked?” George asked. “I thought we were only going to be like an hour or two.” Dash replied, “If I knew this would’ve happened, I would’ve locked the door.” “Well, we’ve kinda spent half the day fussing over some dumb bubble that glued us together.” George said. “C-can you get in the bed already?” Dash asked, “I-I think I’m starting to f-faint.” George looked at the bed, then back at Dash. “I-in bed?” George said. “Aw come on!” Dash said, “I-it’s not like we’re going to do anything.” “If you say so…” George said. George got in bed, lying on his back, letting Dash be right-side up again. “Either way, it’s not like I can do anything if I wanted to.” Dash said, “Since my hooves are stuck.” “True. But it just kinda feels weird.” George said, “This is normally the type of thing people do when they’re dating and such. “Y-yeah.” Dash said, a blush slightly glowing on her face, “Now that you mention it, it does feel kinda weird…” “S-so…” George said, trying to change the subject. “What are we gonna do, stare at each other until we fall asleep?” “Actually…” Dash said with a yawn. “I’m already kinda sleepy.” “I blame the whole being upside down for almost an hour.” George said, “Or you just get tired really easily.” “Y-yeah…” Dash said, shortly after, she fell asleep. George smiled, “She’s so cute when she’s asleep.” He said, “Even it if it is in an awkward moment like this.” George slowly closed his eyes, and fell asleep. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the dreamscape. I guess this only happens whenever Dash and I sleep together. But here I was, in the black room again. Though I couldn’t see Dash, and I was able to move perfectly. What’s going on? I heard somepony walking behind me. I assume it was the human version of me again, perhaps another chunk of memory? I looked back. It was Dash. “Hey George.” Dash said with a smile. “Hey, Dash.” I said. I wasn’t sure what was going on, was Dash able to control herself perfectly too? “What’s going on here? Are we dreaming again?” She asked. “Looks like it.” I said. “For a minute I thought that last dream we had was going to happen again.” She said. I smirked, “You enjoyed that kiss, didn’t you?” I asked. “M-maybe.” Dash said, blushing slightly. “Dash, if you enjoyed that kiss, why didn’t you say so?” I said. “B-because it was a dream, I-I didn’t know if I really felt that kiss the way I was supposed to…” She said. “I kinda know what you mean, not being able to move, then suddenly kiss without any control did feel weird.” I said. “Exactly.” She said, “B-but I would like to try one day.” I suddenly had an idea, I wasn’t sure if I should have done it or not. But then something pushed me to try it. “W-why…Why not try now?” I asked. “Y-you want to kiss?” She asked, blushing deeper, “Y-you’re not joking, are you?” “No Dash.” George said, “I think I’ve figured out what that dream meant.” The room suddenly turned into the same area I recognized, the same cloud from the last time we dreamt. “W-what?” Dash said, “W-what’s going on?” Again, something pushed me into going for it. “This is what’s going on.” I said, I leaned in closer to Dash, and I kissed her. Dash was caught by surprise, her eyes widened at first, but then she closed her eyes and allowed me to continue the kiss. About what felt like a minute, I broke the kiss. “I love you, Dash…” I said, only to have Dash tackle me onto laying down afterwards. Dash immediately kissed me, she was laying down on top of me. She was completely able to move and control her actions, so I know that she actually did this. She broke the kiss about a minute later. “I love you too, George.” She said, her slight blush being deeper than it was before I kissed her. “You do?” I asked, “I-I’m a bit surprised.” “It’s like…After spending two weeks with you, even if it was just me teaching you how to fly. I’ve slowly fell in love with you each day.” She said. “Kinda feels like that first dream, doesn’t it?” I asked. “Yeah. And I’m glad.” Dash replied. “To be honest, I’ve never actually kissed a girl before.” I said, “I’m not surprised my first kiss would be in a dream.” Dash smiled, “I’m surprised my first kiss would be in a dream.” She said. “You’ve never kissed anypony before?” I asked. Dash shook her head. “Nope, I’ve never fallen in love with anypony before. So I never actually kissed, or had somepony kiss me.” I smiled, “Well, you’re a great kisser.” I said. Dash smiled, “Thanks.” She said, she leaned closer, and we were kissing yet again. The room was whitening again, hopefully when we woke up this meant I was finally dating Dash. If she even remembers this dream. George woke up, he looked out the window and noticed it was day. ‘Geez, I slept through the whole night? That dream was so quick…’ He thought. Dash yawned shortly after, she had awoken. George looked back at Dash, and smiled, “Morning…” he said. “Good morning.” Dash said. “Still stuck?” George asked. “Not sure.” Dash said, she unwrapped herself from him, “Guess not.” “That doesn’t mean we can’t do this anymore, right?” George asked. Dash smiled, “Right.” She said, she leaned closer to George, and they shared a small, two minute kiss. “How’s that for a first kiss?” She asked, “Let’s just say that dream didn’t count as a first kiss.” She said as she was slowly getting up. George smiled, “Sure thing.” He said, “But I’m not done yet.” He grabbed Dash and pulled her closer to him, and stole a kiss from her. At first Dash tried to get back up, but then she stopped and grabbed onto George, following along in the kiss. About five minutes later, Dash broke the kiss. “Let’s not tell anypony about this.” She said. “Why not?” George asked, “You fell in love, I don’t see a problem with that.” “Everypony will think I’ve gone soft.” Dash said, “I have a reputation to protect.” “Just because you’ve fallen in love and kissed somebody doesn’t mean you’ve gone soft, Dash.” George said, “Everypony has to find their perfect somepony eventually.” Dash smiled, “You’re right.” She said, she hugged George, and nuzzled into his chest. She was still tired. “For a minute I thought you planned on getting up.” George said. “I did, but now I want to stay here for a few more minutes, I don’t want to have to wait until night to do this again.” Dash said. “Wait, does that mean you want me to stay here with you?” George asked. “I’ve been lonely for a while.” Dash replied, “Usually I don’t care that I sleep alone, but now it’s like I need somepony to make me feel like they care, so I won’t feel alone.” “Then it looks like I’ll be here to do that.” George said with a smile. Dash looked back up at George, “Good.” She said, “Though, I only have a small question for you.” “Go ahead, ask away.” George said. “What will happen if you find a way back home?” Dash asked. “If I weren’t in love with you, I’d go.” George said, “But now I have a good reason to stay here.” “Good.” Dash said with a smile, “And now I have a good reason to slack off most of the day.” George chuckled, “I didn’t know you used to slack off.” He said. “I never had anything to do, so I’d mostly spend my time napping on clouds.” Dash said. “Well now you can spend most of your time with me.” George said. “I’ve kinda already been doing that for the past two weeks.” Dash said. “Well, yeah. But I meant like actually spend time together, not just flying lessons.” George said. “That would be nice.” Dash said, “But there’s still one more lesson we need to go over.” “Then how about one last kiss before we start training?” George asked, finally happy to be with Dash. Dash leaned in closer, and they kissed one last time before they began their final lesson. Ten minutes later, they broke the kiss. “Come on, let’s go finish that lesson, then we can spend more time together.” Dash said. “Alright, I’ll catch up with you. I have to do something before we start.” “Alright, I’ll see you there.” Dash said, she got up, got off the bed, and walked out. ‘While I’m glad she meddled, I still told her not to.’ George thought. “Twilight, I thought I told you not to meddle.” George said. “What happened? Did Rainbow get mad at you or something?” Twilight asked. “It’s not that.” George replied, “Everything’s fine between us. I’m just mad at you for meddling after I told you not to.” “How’d you figure it out?” Twilight asked. “The fact that Dash has never seen the bubble, or know what it does makes it easier to figure out what caused it.” George replied. “Okay. So you caught me.” Twilight said, “But what happened? Did you guys argue or something?” “No.” George replied, “We got along quite well. In fact, let’s just say I have a new place to stay in.” Twilight’s eyes widened, she never expected for her plan to work so effectively. “Also, thanks.” George said, “I’m still mad that you meddled, but at the same time, I’m glad you did.” “You’re welcome.” Twilight said, “I guess that means you won’t be staying here anymore?” George shook his head, “Guess not. Thanks for letting stay for those two weeks, though.” “No problem!” Twilight said, “It’s the least I could do after finding out about you being from another universe and stuff.” “Yeah.” George said, “Now, I’m off to finish my flying lessons.” George trotted off to the tree he trained with Dash nearby. “Looks like my plan worked, Spike.” Twilight said, “Looks like it’s time to send that letter we wrote.” Several hours later… “And that’s just about it, you’ve finally gotten the hang of it!” Dash said. “Yeah!” George exclaimed, “At least I won’t look like an idiot when I fly, now.” Dash laughed a bit, “Yeah, you did kinda look like an idiot when you tried to fly.” She said. George sat against the tree, resting a bit. Dash sat next to him, “So, what do we do now?” she asked. “Isn’t there always a kiss at the end of a date?” George asked with a smirk. “But this isn’t a date, George.” Dash replied. “We can consider this a date…” George asked, leaning closer to Dash. Dash smirked, “Alright, we can do that.” She said. They both kissed for about five minutes, Dash was happy she found somepony who would care for her. George looked around, it was almost nighttime. “It’s getting dark, let’s head back to your place.” George said. “Okay.” Dash said, “I was just about to ask if you wanted to head home, anyways.” “I’m carrying you home, though.” George said. “No thanks. I can head home myself.” Dash said. “I know you can, but I still want to carry you, it’ll help me practice flying while carrying somepony.” George said. “Fine…” Dash said. George got up, and carried Dash on his back. “You better not drop me!” Dash said. “Don’t worry, if I was able to fly when you were glued to me, I think I can fly with you on my back.” George said. “Yeah, but I was glued to you last time!” Dash said, “And you took forever just to get to my house!” “Relax, Dash.” George said, “Thanks to you I’ve gotten better at flying.” “You can’t just carry somepony while flying after two weeks of flying lessons!” Dash exclaimed. “Just relax!” George exclaimed, “I’m not going to drop you!” George flew off to Dash’s house, he attempted to make the whole trip from the tree to Dash’s house, which would cut the amount of time it would take to get there on hoof. Once they had arrived, Dash got off of George. “Thanks.” Dash said with a smile. “I gotta say, you’re getting better at flying.” “I’ve learned from the best.” George said with a smile. Dash blushed, and opened the door. “I’ll be in bed if you want to spend time with me.” Dash said, walking off to the bed. George walked inside the house, and closed the door behind him. Dash quickly got her ticket for the grand galloping gala, and hid it before George would see. George looked at Dash, only to see her resting in bed. “I guess there’s no better time to spend with you but in bed, huh?” George asked sarcastically. Dash blushed, “It’s not like we’re going to do anything.” She said, “You weren’t planning on anything, were you?” “N-no!” George said, a small blush glowing on his face, “You’re the only girl, or…mare… I’ve dated, I wouldn’t want to screw it up now!” “Good.” Dash said, “I was hoping we could just sleep together anyways.” George got in the bed, grabbed the blanket, and covered himself and Dash. “So what do you wanna do, then?” George asked, “It’s still too early to go to bed.” Dash leaned in closer to George, “I think I have something in mind.” She replied. “What is it?” George asked, he had an idea of what she planned, but he wasn’t entirely sure what she was planning. “This…” Dash said. Right after that, they were kissing again. Dash had planned on kissing both herself and George to sleep. George grabbed onto Dash and pulled her closer, allowing him to hug her during the kiss. Dash moved onto the first position they were when they first slept together, having herself rest on top of him. George and Dash continued their kiss for about 10 minutes, only for Dash to break the kiss. “Wow…” Dash said, “I never thought a kiss could feel this good.” “It all depends on who you’re kissing, and if you really love him or not. At least…that’s what I’ve heard.” George said, smiling. “Then I really must love you.” Dash said, “Or else I wouldn’t have enjoyed that kiss as much as I just did.” “Especially if we were kissing for so long.” George added. “How long were we kissing anyways?” Dash asked, “It felt like an hour. Which kinda made it more enjoyable.” “Nope, it was 10 minutes.” George replied. “Well, maybe we can try and go for a longer kiss.” Dash said, she was slowly getting sleepy. “Dash?” George said. “Yeah?” Dash responded. “You know I’ll be here for you, in case anything happens, right?” George asked. “Yeah, I figured you would say that.” Dash said, beginning to fall asleep. “Don’t fall asleep yet, Dash.” George said, “I’m not sleepy…” “I’m trying to stay awake…” Dash said, “It’s just that you’re so comfortable to lay on.” George smiled, he didn’t mind having Dash sleep on top of him, he kinda enjoyed it. He just didn’t want Dash to fell asleep so soon. “What if we did something else? Would that wake you up?” George asked. “Maybe, as long as I don’t have to leave the bed.” Dash responded. “Anything you have in mind?” George asked. “Well. I have one thing in mind, but I think we should wait a few weeks before we try that.” Dash responded, “Or whenever we’re in a really good mood.” “Wait, wh---Oh. You don’t mean…” George asked. “You catch on pretty quick.” Dash said. “Y-yeah, I think we should wait until either we’ve dated for a while, or whenever we’re in a really good mood.” George said, “Besides, I’m kinda not ready to try that. Seeing as you’re the first mare I’ve dated.” “Okay, then how about we just talk for a bit before I fall asleep entirely?” Dash suggested. “Talk about what?” George asked, “I’ve already answered all the questions you decided to ask when you taught me how to fly.” “Well, we can talk about anything. I’m sure you’ve been wanting to ask me something.” Dash said. “Well, there’s only one thing.” George said. “Go ahead, shoot.” Dash said. “Well, isn’t it kinda weird that we’ve only actually started dating earlier today, and already I’m sleeping with you?” George asked. “I guess we’re just not like most couples.” Dash said. “Guess not.” George said as he smiled. “Besides, I would’ve been here in bed alone. And I would’ve been all lonely again.” Dash said, having a small frown. “Don’t worry, I won’t let you sleep alone.” George said. “Good.” Dash said as she leaned in for another kiss, only to start another kissing session shortly after. George broke the kiss 15 minutes later, which was the longest amount of time he spent in a kiss. “Okay, now I’m sleepy…” George said, “I never thought a kiss could drain your energy so quickly.” Dash yawned, “How long did we spend with that kiss?” She asked. “I’d assume around 15 to 20 minutes…” George responded, slowly falling asleep. “Wow…” Dash said, “We really like to kiss a lot, do we?” “Yeah, I guess so.” George replied, “After all, you did say we weren’t like most couples.” “True…” Dash said, “Well, goodnight George.” “Goodnight, Dash.” George said. Dash nuzzled into George’s chest, and fell asleep. George smiled, then laid his head on the pillow, and fell asleep. Just as I expected, another visit to the dreamscape. Though this time was different, the room wasn’t black. Just the one area I appeared in. I looked around, I was human again. To my left, was Equestria, and Dash, who was waiting there several feet away. To my right, was home. “George!” Dash yelled, “Is that you?” “Yeah!” I yelled, “It’s me!” “What’s going on?” She asked. “I…I don’t know!” I replied. I looked to my right, unsure of everything. It was my hometown, my house nowhere in sight. Then again, it was just a small chunk of my hometown that I saw. I look back to my left, I see a chunk of Equestria, with Dash just sitting there. I bet she was just as freaked out as I was. I promised Dash I wouldn’t head home while I was dating her. I jumped into Equestria, and everything turned white. Next thing I know, I’m in the same position as I was when I fell asleep with Dash. At least I was a pony again. I look down, and see Dash in the same position as well. Dash looked up to me, with a worried look in her face. “Did…did the dream just make you choose between living in Equestria with me, and going back home?” Dash asked. “Y-yeah.” I replied, “I-I think it did.” Dash smiled, “Well I’m glad you chose me.” Dash said, leaning in for another kiss. We shared another kiss, something that I guess we like to do a lot. But this time it felt like Dash enjoyed it more since I chose her over going back home. I do feel a bit guilty for doing so, but then if I really did choose to go home, I probably wouldn’t ever see her again. I would’ve felt guiltier going home and leaving Dash behind after promising I wouldn’t leave her. Dash broke the kiss, and then hugged me. “We can consider this as being in a really good mood, right? Dash asked. “Not yet, I think we could be in a better mood than this.” I replied, I knew what she was planning, and I wasn’t ready for it. “You’re right, too soon.” Dash said, “I’ll just surprise you when I want to.” She looked at me with a smile, and kissed me in the cheek. “And when I do surprise you, I’m not gonna let you stop me.” Dash said as she started blushing. “Not sure if I should be afraid or glad to hear that.” I said, trying to tease her a bit. “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” Dash said. “You better not.” I said jokingly. “So when are we going on a real date?” Dash asked, “Now that you’ve kinda gotten the hang of flying, you don’t need me to teach you anymore.” “Well, how about tonight?” I asked, “You can pick where we’re going, since you know this place better than I do.” “I don’t know…” Dash said doubtfully, “I’m not much of a romantic mare.” “Really?” I asked sarcastically, “I never would’ve guessed.” “Oh shush.” Dash said, “This doesn’t count as being romantic.” “It does to me.” I said. “Most couples I’ve seen give each other pet names.” Dash said, “Like I said, I’m not very romantic.” “Well, how about this.” I said, “We could just sit somewhere nice and quiet, and watch the sunset. How’s that for romantic, Dashie?” Dash blushed, she just mentioned how she’s seen most couples give each other pet names, and here I am, giving her one. She smiled, and looked at me right in the eyes. I guess she was trying to get me lost in her eyes on purpose, just so she could tease me. “I think that’ll do.” Dash said, “Then maybe we can some fun after our date.” “Like what?” I asked. “Well, we could sleep together again.” Dash suggested. “I thought I was living with you now.” I said, “If I live with you, should I already be able to sleep with you?” “Yeah, but when I said ‘sleep’, I meant we could spend time together.” Dash said. “Like, talking to each other, and making out?” I asked. Dash nodded, “And if we’re feeling good enough, we can try something different.” She said. “Something…different?” I asked, “I thought you were going to surprise me.” “Oh I will.” Dash said, “And I’ll do it when you least expect it.” She smirked after saying that, after a while, I was lost in her eyes. Something that she was trying to do by looking me in the eyes. When she was tired enough, she went for another kiss. During that kiss, everything was getting bright again. Guess it was time to wake up. Well, looks like I’ll have to start prepping up for my date with Dashie. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Chaos Arising //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Chaos Arising Dash woke up, she looked at George and noticed he was still asleep. ‘Guess I shouldn’t wake him up, let’s see if he doesn’t forget about our date.’ She thought. She got out of bed, without waking George, and walked off to prep for their date. ‘I kinda wonder why he hasn’t woken up yet. The dream ended the same time for the both of us.’ She thought. ‘Ah, oh well. I guess it doesn’t really matter.’ She continued, ‘Besides, I do need a bit of time away from him every now and then.’ ‘Maybe I can ask Twilight on how I could help get his memory back, then we might have more things to talk about.’ She thought. She stopped, something just came to her mind. ‘…What have I been doing?’ She thought, ‘Did…did that bubble…What happened?’ I thought I woke up, but apparently the dream wanted to hold me for a little longer. I looked around, I was in the same place as I was the first time with Dashie. In the middle was nothing, just a black area, while one side had a piece of Equestria, and the other side had a piece of my hometown. Now that I look at my hometown, it looks…cartoonish, something I may have not noticed last time. Shortly after, I hear footsteps. Dash wasn’t anywhere in sight, so who could it be? I look back, only to see someone else, I wasn’t sure who, though. “You’ve made quite a few mistakes, haven’t you?” He said. “D-do I know you?” I asked. “No, you don’t.” He responded with a smirk. “Then, why are you here?” I asked. “I came to ‘help’ you with your problem with Rainbow Dash.” He responded. “Help?” I asked, “What do you mean help? I don’t have any problem with Dash.” “In a way, you do.” He said, “Twilight screwed up.” “What?” I asked, “All she did was create that bubble…” “That has a side effect that only applies to mares.” He interrupted. “Side effect?” I asked, “What side effect?” “If a mare were to get stuck to anypony, her feelings for that pony are increased the next day. In this case, the next day being that dream where you two first kissed.” He said. “So then, she doesn’t really love me?” I asked. “I wouldn’t say that.” He said, “Deep down, she does have some feelings for you. It’s just that bubble increased those feelings even further, making her lose control over herself in front of you.” “Well, gee. Thanks for making me feel like an idiot.” I sighed, “And just when I thought I actually did found someone who liked me.” “I did heal her, though.” He said, “So there’s multiple ways this could play out.” “If I couldn’t get an actual girlfriend back at home, what difference does it make here?” I asked, still not having all of my memory, I probably should’ve thought more about what I said. “Well, you can stay at her house. And deal with an awkward conversation.” He said. “Not sure if I should.” I said, “If I do that, I could end up causing problems between us.” “What makes you say that?” He asked, “She has feelings for you deep down. If anything, she might let her true feelings out, or she’ll want you to leave so she can have time to think.” “And…How do you know this?” I asked. He smirked, “Don’t worry, we’ll meet again. I just won’t be as helpful as I am now.” He said. And with that, he vanished. I was still in the center, would the dream end here? Or would I have to choose again? That’s when I heard his voice again. “There is another way you could end it.” “How?” I asked. “If you choose to walk into Equestria here in the dreamscape, you’ll wake up back in Rainbow Dash’s bed.” “And if I choose to go back home?” I asked. “You’ll probably wind up back home.” “I like how you said I’ll ‘probably’ wind up home.” I said, “I’m not taking any chances.” I walked into Equestria again. And the dream ended. Well, looks like our date is off, then. George awoke from his sleep, only to see that Dash wasn’t there. He sighed of relief, he’d wouldn’t have to deal with an awkward conversation right after waking up. ‘Guess it’s time to talk to Twilight, again.’ He thought. He got out of bed, and exited Dash’s house. He flew off the cloud, and continued toward Twilight’s house. Once he had arrived, he knocked on Twilight’s door. Only for Spike to open the door shortly afterwards. “George?” Spike asked, “Something wrong?” “Let’s just say Twilight’s meddling has caused me enough trouble.” George responded. Spike looked to his back, where Twilight was. “Ha! I told you something would go wrong!” Spike exclaimed. “What?” Twilight asked as she got up, she walked to George, suddenly worried of what happened. “That bubble?” George asked sarcastically, “Yeah…There’s a side effect that apparently only applies to mares.” There was a small period of silence. Twilight looked at George with total confusion, wondering just what had happened to Rainbow Dash. “What…What side effect?” Twilight asked. “So, apparently…Whenever a mare gets attached to someone, or possibly something.” George responded, “Her feelings for it are increased the very next day.” “Which is…” Twilight said “The day Dash ‘fell in love’ with me.” George interrupted. “George…I-I’m so sorry.” Twilight said, she regretted what she had just caused. “I-it’s alright, the side effect’s worn off, and I have yet to explain to Dashie about what happened.” George said. Twilight paused for a moment, “…Dashie?” she asked. George’s ears flopped down, he was obviously heartbroken over what had happened to him. “S-sorry, didn’t mean to say that.” George said. “You really have feelings for her, don’t you?” Twilight asked, she frowned to see her new friend like this. “Y-yeah.” George responded, “Then having a few days to sleep with her, and hug her, and…” George blinked, he tried to forget what happened before he would finish his sentence. “…And what?” Twilight asked, shortly after, she gasped, “You didn’t…!” George looked up at Twilight, only to see her shocked expression on her face. “What?” He asked, suddenly realizing what she meant, “N-No!” he shouted. “Then what!?” Twilight asked, curious of what George did. “Why do you have to be so nosey?!” George asked in frustration. “I can’t help it! I’m trying to help my friends!” Twilight responded. “Wait, that means I’m your friend?” George asked, interrupting the conversation. “Of course! Thanks to you I learned more about alternate universes!” Twilight said, “Now stop trying to change the subject!” “I’m not changing the subject!” George exclaimed. “Yes you are, you’re doing it right now!” Twilight exclaimed. “Alright! Fine!” George exclaimed in defeat, “We…we kissed. Several times…” Twilight looked at George, almost mad to hear that. “…That’s it?” She asked, “You had to make a big fuss over that?” “Yeah.” George responded, “I don’t like it when people start asking me about my love life.” “George, I bet Rainbow has real feelings for you, deep down.” Twilight said, trying to cheer George up, “On the outside she may look like she’s tough and ready for anything. But deep down inside, I bet she’s just looking for her perfect somepony.” “Not sure if I’d say ‘perfect’.” George mumbled, “I still don’t even have all of my memories to answer all of her questions.” “Then do something else, try talking about something else with her.” Twilight said, “Maybe she’ll admit her real feelings to you.” “I kinda doubt that, but thanks Twilight.” George said, “You kinda cheered me up.” “No problem!” Twilight said cheerfully, “By the way, how did you figure out about the side effect in the first place?” “Considering how differently Dash acted around me, I’d say that was the dead giveaway.” George said, not wanting to mention the guy he met in the dreamscape. “I guess so.” Twilight said, “Well, good luck!” “Thanks.” George said, “Also, if things don’t go well for me and Dashie, I can come back here, right?” “Sure!” Twilight said, “What kind of friend would I be if I let you sleep out there all alone?” “Thanks again!” George said, heading off to find Dash. “I hope those two make it work.” Twilight said, “They seem so right for each other.” “You still don’t know him very well, Twilight.” Spike said, “Are you sure him and Dash are right for each other?” “Yeah.” Twilight says with a smile, “Something tells me that he has a lot of good in him.” Dash was sitting near the tree where she taught George to fly. She was curious of what happened, the effects of the bubble wore off, so it only left her to wonder. “Do I really love him?” Dash asked herself. Shortly after, George flies by the tree, only to see Dash sitting there. Once he landed, Dash looked up at him, having a curious look on her face. “Hey Dash, how do you feel?” He asks. “I’m alright.” Dash sighed, “I’m just unsure about a few things.” “Is one of those ‘things’ our relationship?” George asked, knowing what the answer will be. “N-no…I-I mean, sort of.” Dash said, worried about what she would say. Her face turned to the ground, she was embarrassed, one day she’s sleeping with him, the next she’s questioning her love for him. “It’s alright, you don’t have to say anything.” George said, “I understand you didn’t really feel that way.” Dash looked back up at George, confused by what he just said. “What?” Dash asked. George sat down next to her, trying to calm her down. “Basically that bubble had a side effect that made your feelings for me ten times as strong.” George replied, “So, even if you saw me as a friend, that bubble made you think you were in love.” “Were you affected by it, too?” Dash asked. It stung a bit, though he ignored it shortly after. Dash didn’t know he loved her, so he didn’t take it too seriously. Though putting some thought into it, he didn’t seem to act very much the same after that bubble. “Not sure, actually.” He replied, “But I think I’ll manage.” “I-I just need some time to think.” Dash said, trying not to hurt George any more than what he was, “I’ve kinda seen you more as ‘just a friend’.” “So, like, ‘good friends’?” George asked. “A little, those two weeks of me teaching you how to fly were pretty fun.” Dash replied, “It gave me something to do, since all I ever did was train for the wonderbolts. But I doubt I’ll even make it.” “I think you could, but then if you ever decided to date anypony. You’d probably have a hard time seeing them.” George said, “Having to deal with training, then actually performing, then coming back home. You’d have a hard time if you ask me.” “What makes you say that?” Dash asked. “Well, it’s kind of a common thing. Singers for example, they devote almost all their time to practicing, then preforming, then any extra things he or she has to do. Then if he or she is even lucky enough to get a break, he wouldn’t have time to see his friends or family.” George replied, “Well, unless they traveled the world along with him or her.” “And…How do you know all of this?” Dash asked. “Well, I can remember there were performers in my universe.” George said, “There are a few things that slowly start coming back to me.” Dash nodded, she understood the price she’d had to pay if she wanted to live her dream. “I think I’d be better of here with my friends.” Dash said. “Good to hear, Dashie.” George said, “I-I mean…Dash.” He said shortly after catching what he just said. Dash smiled, “You can call me Dashie. Just as long as you let me call you ‘Georgie’.” She said. “Ugh, but ‘Georgie’ sounds like a girl’s name…” George whined, “Can’t you think of anything less girly?” “Nope!” Dash said with a smirk, she was getting her revenge for all those times George was teasing her. “Fine. I guess I can live with one pony calling me that.” George said. “Good.” Dash said as she hugged George. George smiled, this was his first real hug with Dash. Since the effects of the bubble worn off, he didn’t have to worry about her doing things because of it. So he hugged her back. “Awww. Nice to see you got along. It’s too bad I have to break up this moment.” George and Dash immediately broke the hug, and looked where the voice came from. It was a black stallion, with grey-ish eyes, his mane and tail being a snowy white color, and him just as tall as George and Dash. “…Do I know you?” George asked. “No, I’m afraid you don’t.” The mysterious pony said with a smirk. George looks at Dash, wondering if she knew him. She looks back at him, only to shake her head in denial. He then looks back at the mysterious pony. “Hold on a second.” George says, getting a good look at the stallion. ‘Wait, he sounds a lot like…’ “You’re that guy I met in the dreamscape!” George exclaimed. “Good to see you’ve figured it out.” The mysterious pony said, “But like I said, I wasn’t going to be so nice next time we meet.” “Didn’t think it would be this soon, though.” George said, while Dash only looks at each of them while they talk. “Look, I’m glad you made up with Rainbow Dash and all.” The mysterious pony said, “But you have to make a choice, here and now.” “What?” George asked, “What choice?” “I’m your only ticket back home.” The mysterious pony, “I can open a small portal for you to head home with. But you need to choose.” Dash looks at George with worry, she was already starting to get used to him. She didn’t want him to leave. George on the other hand thought about it, he had left so much behind: His family, his friends, his parents. It all made him think, should he stay with the mare who’s starting to consider him as a ‘good friend’ and possibly date her afterwards, or go home, and abandon everything in Equestria. After a minute, only one thing ran into his mind. He had decided. “No.” George said, “I’m not going back.” Dash was surprised to hear this, he would have abandoned his whole family, even his parents for her. Something she didn’t notice when she was affected by the bubble, to be honest, she didn’t even remember everything they did together. Her heart fluttered when she heard him say that, she wasn’t sure what she felt. She snapped back into reality shortly afterwards, continuing to listen to the conversation. “I figured you might say that.” The mysterious pony said, “Listen, my boss only wanted me to bring you here for a while. Either you come back the easy way, or I’ll have to do this the hard way. And I don’t want to have to do this the hard way.” George stopped for a second, and quickly thought about what he just said. “So…You’re the reason why I’m here?” He asked. “In a way, yes.” The mysterious pony replied, “I also caused your memory loss. I couldn’t have you wandering in Equestria with all of your human memories.” “I figured.” George growled, he got up, and walked up to the mysterious pony, “Fine.” He said. “Huh? You’ve changed your mind?” The mysterious pony asked. George nodded, “Yeah. I’m willing to give everything here up.” Dash looked in shock and also sorrow. She felt a tear come off her eye, she wiped it off, hoping nopony saw. She thought George planned on staying with her, instead he gets up, and decides to leave. The mysterious pony smirked, “Good.” He said, he turned around, gesturing a portal to open with his hoof. George knew what he was doing, he only hoped that his plan would work the way he expects it to. Once the portal opened, the mysterious pony turned towards George, but was tackled halfway through. George had tackled him, the both of them going inside the portal, with it closing shortly after they fell inside. Dash only sat there. She had just witnessed the stallion she considered to be more than a friend leave. It stung her, deep down. Only to end up in tears a minute later. She cleaned up her face, holding back all her tears, and flew home. I wake up, only to see the world wasn’t so…’cartoonish’ as it was before. It was a shame, really, I was really getting used to it. But then I got a closer look around me. I was home, well, my hometown, at least. I was at the park that I’d use to take my dog to every now and then. Though it was completely empty, I suppose everyone might be working or at school. Though thanks to me not having my memory of it, I could only question where I was. I got up, only to see I’m human again. At least I’m not dreaming this time, I’m actually back as my old self. “Am…am I back?” I said, again, talking to myself. As I dusted myself off, I saw someone else lying on the ground. Most likely it was the guy I tackled into the portal. He awoke, only to get up, and see I was conscious, as well. “You have no idea what you’ve done.” He said, “It doesn’t matter anyway, I got you home. That’s all I needed.” He gestured to open another portal again, only to fail. “Well, guess I don’t have enough power to do that so quickly.” He said, “That’s fine, that’ll give me some time to deal with you. That way you can’t come back into Equestria.” “I doubt that, if anything, I will go back to Equestria. And I will take you down.” I said. “Go ahead, you’ve got nothing on me anyways. I still have all my powers that my boss gave me, I can use them to beat the living crap out of you.” He said, right after that, he vanished. I looked around, he wasn’t anywhere. He couldn’t have had gone back to Equestria just yet, he just said he didn’t have enough power. Right then, he appeared from behind me. Delivering a hard punch to my head, making me fall face first into the ground. That hard punch made something click in my head, he didn’t break any bones or anything, but I remembered something. I knew how to fight back. I quickly got back up, ready to take on anything he would throw at me. It seemed strange, though. I didn’t even know how to fight earlier, and now I suddenly remember how to fight. Almost like he planned for that. The only thing I thought was either he purposely gave me back one of my memories, or he gave me a fake one. But it didn’t really matter at the time, all I needed to do was protect myself. And that’s what I did. He threw several punches to my face, something I was able to block and dodge. It was only when he started to use his ‘powers’ in order to cheat. He would be able to use his powers to somehow give himself the ability to fly, something that made it only twice as hard to fight back. It was already hard enough because somehow he was already used to a human body, which got me a bit pissed at times during our battle. Knowing that it would’ve taken some time to get used to another body, I’ve only gotten adjusted a while ago, only to have to fight back as a human, which only made me struggle more. Guess I’ll just have to use every ounce of strength I have to finish him. Dash was in her bed, softly crying into her pillow, she was in a deep state of depression, it’s only been a few hours since George left. “Rainbow!” Dash looked up, no one was at her house, so it must’ve been someone outside. “Rainbow Dash!” Dash got up shortly after, wiping her face off, and holding back the rest of her tears. She opened her door, and looked down, only to see Twilight. “Rainbow!” Twilight yelled, “I could hear you crying from down here, are you alright?” Dash shook her head, “I’m feeling a bit down at the moment Twilight, is it anything important?” she said. “I wanted to see what were you crying about, isn’t George there with you?” Twilight asked. Dash shook her head, and flew off the cloud, landing next to Twilight. “Then if he’s not with you, where is he?” Twilight asked. “He’s home.” Dash replied, a tear falling off her face. Twilight froze in place for a second, she saw how one of her best friends was feeling, along with her new friend being lost without his memory. She could only let out a small “Oh…” while she sat there to think. “Yeah…” Dash said. “Rainbow, I’m so sorry.” Twilight said, she knew by how Dash was feeling was cause of George’s trip back home. “I…I just need some time alone.” Dash said, opening her wings. “Wait.” Twilight said, “Do you…like him?” Dash closed her wings, and stopped to think. “I…I don’t really know.” Dash replied. “What happened? How did he get back home?” Twilight asked. “Well, we were talking, and then this black stallion interrupts us. Claiming he could send George back home, and that his boss or something only wanted him here for a while.” Dash replied, “Then shortly after, they talked about how George lost his memory in the first place. And then the mysterious stallion opened a portal, with George tackling him through the portal.” “…Wow.” Twilight said, “It sounds to me George was trying to protect you.” “What?” Dash asked. “He was going to risk everything he had back home to stay with you, then finding out that the mysterious stallion was the cause of his memory loss. I think he was trying to protect you.” Twilight replied. “I…I didn’t think of it like that.” Dash said, “But…He’s still gone…” “He’ll be back.” Twilight said reassuringly, “…I hope.” Dash noticed the slight doubt in Twilight, and frowned. “I hope so too…” I was able to counter most of the attacks, but I wasn’t able to counter it all forever. He was only stalling me while his power was recharging. “Hope you had fun.” The mysterious person said, “But it’s time for me to finish my work in Equestria.” I quickly ran in to throw another punch, only for him to dodge it, and push me onto the ground. “Silly boy, you didn’t really think you could beat me, did you?” He asked sarcastically. He opened a portal while I was lying on the ground. I quickly got up, only for him to finish the portal. He looked back at me, smirking. “Have fun at home, Georgie.” He said. I got pissed, quickly. I could only handle being called that by Dashie, since it was the little nickname she gave me. Hearing someone else say it felt like an insult, I lost control completely, and just followed the first thing that came into mind. As soon as he turned around I quickly tackled him into the portal…again. At least I knew I’d be heading back into Equestria, which gave me some happiness during all of this. Knowing I’ll be able to see Dash again made a bit of my stress go away, which was mostly just stress about fighting for my life, and seeing her again. It’s been almost half the day since George has left. Leaving Dash to assume he’s gone for good. Dash looked out her window, hoping to see if George would come back. Off in the distance, out of anypony’s sight. The portal opens, with George and the mysterious pony falling through it. They both laid on the ground for a while, only for George to get up a minute later, and see the unconscious stallion. “He’s out cold.” He said, “With that, I have some time to get some help.” As soon as George ran off, the mysterious pony grabbed on to one of his legs, tripping George. “Not so fast, lover boy.” He said, “This is just a minor setback.” “What makes you think I actually wanted to go back home?” George asked sarcastically, “I finally have friends who actually care for me, and willingly gave me a place to stay.” “Well it’s a shame, because you’ll never get to know them anymore.” The mysterious pony said. “Who are you, anyways!?” George asked. The mysterious stallion smirked, “Since this will be the last time you see me. I guess I should introduce myself.” ‘This guy may be a jerk, but he might just be dumb enough to fall for this.’ George thought. They both stood up, each of them being a couple of feet away. “There are five of us. Our boss hired us to cause chaos around Equestria.” The mysterious pony said, “I am Number One.” ‘Number One.’ George thought, ‘Why does that sound familiar?’ “Well, gee. You have labels.” George said, “…Not that I think about it, that whole ‘Number One’ thing does sound a bit familiar. Oh well. Nice knowin’ ya!” he said as he quickly flew off to find somepony who could help. “Pretty smart, kid.” One said, “But not smart enough.” He used his powers in order to fly off, chasing down George. George was pretty quick, not as quick compared to Dash though. Once he had that thought, he slowed down a bit, losing focus on reality. Number One being right behind him, George quickly snaps back into reality. Number One planned on flying under him, grab him, and throw him onto the ground. Luckily George was able to counter, once Number One was below him, he quickly closed his wings, and used his legs to stomp on him. Both heading for a crash course to the ground, George planned on using Number One to break his fall, and buy himself some time to get help. His plan worked, he was able to hurt Number One during that fall, which bought himself time to get somepony to help. Knocking came on Twilight’s door, it was loud and quick. Almost like someone was panicking. “I got it!” Twilight yelled, opening the door, seeing George behind it. “Twilight!” George exclaimed, “I need you to use the Elements of Harmony!” “Wait what?” Twilight asked, “How did you know about the…” “I read your books and you told me the story like five times. If you think I wasn’t paying attention, think again.” George interrupted. Twilight smiled, “Good to see I have somepony who listens to me!” she said. “Can this wait? I really need your help here!” George exclaimed. “What’s going on anyways?” Twilight asked, “Rainbow told me you tackled somepony into a portal back home.” “I’ll explain on the way, just c’mon!” George said as he ran off. Twilight quickly hovered a small box containing the Elements of Harmony. “I really should lock these somewhere. But at least I kept them here before I decided to do that.” She said. Dash was silent, she was laying on her bed, staring at the roof. She was having a hard time trying to take a nap. All she could think of was George, she didn’t know why, but he was all she could think about. “Rainbow! We need you!” Twilight yelled. Dash looked out the window, only to see Twilight and all her friends. All of them wearing their Elements of Harmony. Dash got out of the house, “Twilight?” She asked, “What’s going on?” “We’ll explain later! But right now we need your help!” Twilight exclaimed. Dash nodded, and flew to Twilight, and put on her Element. “Alright, now c’mon!” Twilight said, as she ran off, with everyone following her. Dash wondered what was going on, but she went on and followed Twilight along with everypony else. George flew off to find Number One, only to be attacked from above, almost the same attack he used, except it was the other way around. Almost near the ground, George quickly used his wings to slow down the falling speed, so he wouldn’t crash on the ground. Number One vanished once George had landed, only to appear in front of him. “That was a nice distraction.” One said, “But I’m through playing games.” “That’s funny.” George said with a smirk, “So am I.” “What makes you believe you could actually beat me?” One asked, “I have my powers, I can send you back home, right now, and you won’t have another chance to return to Equestria.” “You may have your powers, but I have something that’s even more powerful.” George said, still smirking. “Oh really?” One asked as he tilted his head, “And just what is that?” “You’ll see.” George said, taking off to the skies, as One continued, he could see six ponies off in the distance. Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash. All standing there, getting ready to use their Elements. Dash on the other hand wasn’t really looking at the battle off in the distance, frustrated about the events that had occurred. “…Crap.” One said, knowing there was no escape from this. All six mares flew up slowly, each of their Elements glowing brighter as they got higher, once they were a few feet off the ground, their eyes glowed white, then shooting a rainbow beam off at Number One. George got on the ground, a short distance away from Number One to prevent from getting himself hurt from the Elements. The beam hit Number One, and lasted there for about thirty seconds. Once the beam was gone, George thought the battle was over. He was wrong. One was still standing there, smirking, he wasn’t affected by the Elements at all. “Wha...” George said, his mind running, his happiness all turned into total fear, One was still standing there, still alive. “I gotta say, George.” One said, “You put up a good fight, but you’re a lot more helpful than I thought.” “What?” George said, his heart racing through his fear. “Look behind you.” George slowly turned his head behind him, worried of what he might see. He saw his friends, all in the same place when they were using the Elements, few feet in the air, but they were turned to stone. George felt his heart sink, the 5 mares he befriended, and the one mare he fell in love with, frozen in place. After seeing this, his emotions were a mix of fear, sadness, and anger. He turned his head back to One, who had just been smirking this whole time. “How…” George said, unable to finish his sentence with all his mixed emotions. “I used the power of their Elements against them.” One said, “I gotta say, I was planning on doing that. But you made it easier for me to do that.” “No!” George exclaimed, his anger taking over his emotions, “I didn’t cause this! You were supposed to be frozen in stone. Not them!” “Too bad, George!” One exclaimed, “We all don’t get what we want. I had to use up almost all my energy just to do that!” George snapped, he was in complete anger, letting his anger getting the best of him. “Then you’re about to use the rest of your energy running.” George said. “Now, George, why would I run?” One asked, “There’s nothing left for you to do. Your friends are frozen, everything you have in Equestria is gone.” A tear fell from George’s face, only to go into full rage. The elements slowly glowing, George bolts to One, throwing out a punch that had been amplified by the elements. Knocking Number One back several feet. George slowly walked to One, who was laying on the ground. “How did you…” One said. “That was for Applejack and Pinkie Pie.” George said, his rage flowing through his blood. The elements glowed brighter, amplifying George’s second punch, knocking back Number One farther than last time. One used the little energy he had to get up. “How are you doing this!?” One asked, all he could do is just stand there, there was no backing out of this one. “That was for Fluttershy and Rarity.” George said, his rage still flowing through him. The elements glowed even brighter, amplifying his third punch, knocking back One even further than the last punch. One had taken some serious damage, all he could do was get up, and use any energy he had to at least back away. George walked faster, catching up to One. “That. That was for Twilight.” George said, “Want to know who this last one is for?”   One quickly shook his head, frightened by George’s anger and strength. “This last one is for Dashie.” George said, a tear falling off his face. The elements were at its brightest, giving George the power he needed to finish the job. As George threw his last punch, once his hoof came in contact with One, it felt like time had frozen. George could see a small spark at his last punch, once the spark was gone, time came back up to speed. The impact on the punch knocked back Number One for what looked like a mile. “...Holy crap! That hurt!” George exclaimed, shaking his hoof around. A few seconds later, he quickly ran off to One, to see if he was either dead or unconscious. “I’ll admit, you have quite a lot of strength…” One said using the small amount of energy left, “I’ll be back…And I’ll finish you when I do return.” With that, he vanished. George calmed down shortly after, it was over, for now. He looked back, only to see the 6 statues off in the distance. He ran to the stoned mares, wanting to get a good look at him, hoping he could do something. “No…” George said, “No, no, no. They CAN’T be frozen!” George stood there, he could only think of anything he could do to help. …He could hear voices. He thought about a recent conversation he had with Twilight. “You know George…Equestria has a princess.” “Really?” “Yeah. Two of them, actually. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.” “That’s good to know, I guess. Besides them being Princesses, what’s so special about them?” “Well, Celestia can move the sun, and Luna can move the moon, together they make the day and night cycle.” “Huh, in my universe, it’s the complete opposite, if I remember correctly.” “How so?” “The sun and the moon move on their own. So, the Princesses must have a lot of power in order to move the sun and the moon, right?” “Well, they are alicorns, so yeah.” “So that means they can do more than an ordinary unicorn, huh?” “Pretty much.” “Good to know.” “I’m always sending Celestia letters about my lessons on friendship.” “So THAT’S why you’re always talking to yourself at night.” “Well, I’m only saying what I want Spike to write, since he can send letters to Celestia magically.” “Huh. That’s pretty neat.” “There’s a lot about Equestria you don’t know. If you do plan on staying here, you’re free to borrow some of my books.” “Thanks!” George had an idea. He could only hope it would work. George flew off to Twilight’s house, hoping he could execute before the day ended. “Spike, I need you to write a letter to Princess Celestia!” George said. “It’s an emergency!” “What happened? Is everypony okay?” Spike asked. “Um…I think it’s best I don’t answer that, Spike.” George said, trying not to worry him. “Okay, I see your point.” Spike said, “I’ll get the stuff to write the letter.” “Gee, you’re being so calm about it.” George said, “Are you normally this calm in emergencies?” “No.” Spike replied, “But if I start panicking, I’ll have a hard time writing the letter. And we won’t be getting anywhere.” “True. To be honest I’m surprised to see you act this way.” George said. “Don’t get used to it, once I’m done here, then I’ll start freaking out.” Spike said. “Right…” George said, ignoring Spike’s current behavior, all he needed to do was send the letter and get it over with, and hope his plan worked. George sat near the statues, hoping the Princess would be there soon. After 25 minutes of waiting, he felt a hoof on his back. He quickly looked back, he saw a tall, white pony. She had a horn and wings, she was an Alicorn. It was Princess Celestia. George’s mouth was wide open, he was shocked that the Princess actually came and helped. Then again, this did involve her student, so this made a big impact to her as much as it did to him. “I came as soon as I read your letter.” Celestia said, “Twilight has told me quite a bit about you.” George closed his mouth, his shock turned into happiness. He has the Princess here to help him. “Then that means you know where I’m from?” George asked. “Yes.” Celestia replied. George went wide-eyed for a minute. “But don’t worry. I’m not going to send you back home.” Celestia laughed. George sighed of relief. “Twilight has also told me you have some feelings for Rainbow Dash.” Celestia said, knowing it would bother him. “Annnnnnd, that’s why I don’t like it when somepony asks about my love life.” George said. Celestia laughed a bit, then focused back to the statues. “So, how did they get in this state?” Celestia asked. “Somepony somehow used their Elements of Harmony against them.” George said, “I...don’t want to talk about it right now.” “It’s alright. I’m not going to force you.” Celestia said, she looked at the statues, “I only have enough magic to free one of them, maybe two of them if I free Twilight first.” George smiled a bit, at least he would be able to get two of his friends back. And with Celestia knowing about his feelings for Dash, he might know who Celestia would free first. Her horn began to glow a pinkish color, the glow also coming from around the statue of Twilight. The brighter Celestia’s horn would glow, the more powerful her magic was. As is began to glow brighter, Twilight’s statue began to crack in several places. George could only watch in amaze. He didn’t expect that Princess Celestia herself had the power to free them from their stone prison. Pieces of the statue began to fall off, revealing Twilight’s skin as more pieces fell off. Once the statue completely broke, Twilight fell to the ground. She slowly got up, looking around. “What…what happened?” Twilight asked, then finally looking at both George and Celestia, “Princess Celestia! What are you doing here?” Just before Celestia could say anything, George pointed behind Twilight, when she looked back, she was shocked to see her five friends. Each of them turned to stone. A few tears fell off her face, until she looked back at George. “You!” She yelled, her face showing almost complete anger. George’s eyes widened, shocked to see Twilight look angry for the first time. “M-me?” George said, trying not to piss off Twilight any further. “You did this!” Twilight exclaimed, “You’re the reason why we were turned to stone!” “But I just…” George said. “But nothing!” Twilight interrupted, yelling out almost everything she said, “You should’ve gone back home when you had the chance, George!” “Twilight I...” George said, trying to explain what happened. “All this time I thought there was some good left in you.” Twilight interrupted, her voice getting softer, “I guess I was wrong.” “Twilight listen to…” George said, still not being able to finish his sentences. “No!” Twilight exclaimed, “Get out of here!” George frowned, his ears flopped down. “Twilight…” He said, trying to explain everything. “Go!” Twilight exclaimed. Celestia stood there in surprise, as she had never seen her student so upset at anypony. While George was completely shocked, all he could do was just walk away, he was just as upset as Twilight was, but she had more of a right to be upset. George has only known them for about three weeks, Twilight on the other hand has known them for several months. ‘…Did she just treat me like a dog?’ George thought. ‘What…I…Oh forget it. She’s right, I should’ve just stayed home when I had the chance.’ Celestia watched as George walked away, then looked back at Twilight. “…What?” Twilight asked, “If it wasn’t for you being here, I still would’ve been trapped in stone! If it wasn’t for him we…” “Wouldn’t have been stuck there, I see that.” Celestia interrupted, “But if it was also not for him, I wouldn’t have known that you six were trapped in stone in the first place.” “I…” Twilight said, thinking about what to say next, but unable to finish her sentence, “You’re right.” Celestia nodded, “You just need to give him another chance, he was only trying to help.” She said. “Well, it was us who was helping him.” Twilight said, “But yeah, I see what you mean.” “I’ll have George explain what happened later.” Celestia said, “I didn’t want to ask him earlier since it obviously hurt him to see you six like that.” Twilight frowned, hearing Celestia say how George felt made her feel guilty. She had just yelled at him for having them turned to stone, and she didn’t even think of what George was really trying to do. Twilight ran off, but got held back by Celestia. “If you’re going to apologize, I think I know something else that work rather than running to him and apologizing.” Celestia said with a small smirk. Twilight looked back at one of the stone statues, “You’re not thinking…?” She asked. Celestia nodded. “Wow Princess, didn’t expect to see this side of you.” Twilight said. “But I need you to help me. I don’t have enough magic to free all of you.” Celestia said. Twilight gulped, “M-me?” She asked, “Are you sure about that?” Celestia nodded, “I know you’ve studied enough to know how to do this.” She said. Twilight sighed, and turned around to the stone statue. Both of their horns grew bright, small cracks appearing on Rainbow Dash’s statue. Once the statue broke entirely, Dash had fallen onto the ground. She slowly got up, and looked around. “Wha…” Dash said, “What happened?” “We were turned into stone somehow, Rainbow.” Twilight said, “Look behind you.” ‘Probably shouldn’t have had said that.’ Twilight thought, ‘She doesn’t even realize George is back. Dang it Twilight! Why’d you have to be so forgetful!?’ Dash looked back, seeing her other friends trapped in stone. Dash felt her sink, she was already heartbroken when George left, now seeing her friends being trapped in stone. It was already more than enough to make her cry, but somehow she held it all in. “There is something I need to tell you, though.” Twilight said. “I-it’ll have to wait a while, Twilight.” Dash said, a tear falling off her face, “I…I gotta go.” Dash quickly ran off, and flew off. “Rainbow!” Twilight exclaimed, she was about to chase her down, only to be stopped by Celestia again. “Let her go.” Celestia said, “Look where’s she’s going.” Twilight looked, and saw that George hadn’t walked very far. George was walking very slowly his head facing down, unsure of what to do next. Just then, something quickly flew by him. He quickly looked up and saw a small rainbow trail, the same trail Dash made whenever she was flying. “What…Dashie?” George said, looking back at Twilight, only for her to nod at him, and he nodded at her back, smiling. He flew off, and started following the trail, ending at a cloud. He landed on the cloud, seeing Dash off in the distance. ‘Hold on…I remember this.’ George thought, he looked around, it was the same cloud that he first dreamt of with Dash, the same view, the same time, everything was the same. George smiled, he know what would happen. And he was hoping this would happen, just not like this though. He slowly walked to Dash, who was crying and sobbing her heart out. He sat right next to her, trying to comfort her. “Dash…Are you okay?” George asked. Dash looked up, and looked off to where she heard the voice. “G-George…Y-You’re here…” Dash said, slightly blushing, she sniffled, trying to hold back her tears, “I…I don’t want you seeing me like this…” “Dash, I know what happened.” George said, “I was there…I was the one who called to Princess Celestia for help.” Dash sniffled again, and instantly hugged him shortly after George finished his sentence. “Thanks for being there for me, George…” Dash said, hugging him tighter. “Don’t worry Dash…You know I’ll always be here for you.” George said, forgetting everything about the dream. Dash looked up at George, a few tears falling off her face. While he quickly wiped the rest of her tears from her face. “I…I know…Now I understand…” She said. “Hm?” George said, “Understand what?” “That…I-I Love you…” Dash said, “I finally understand…how I felt about you…” “Dash…” George said, “What do you mean…?” “All this time I felt…weird when I was around you…ever since I helped you learn how to fly.” Dash said, “I’ve secretly loved you…I didn’t even know it until now…” She looked George right in the eyes, and blushed. “Dash... I…” George said. Dash immediately threw herself forward, pressing her lips against George’s, interrupting his sentence. George was surprised at first, his wings quickly opened, but shortly after, George closed his eyes and followed along on Dash’s kiss. George broke the kiss shortly after, Dash was blushing more than before, they both looked into each other’s eyes. “I love you too…Dashie…” George said. Dash smiled, and nuzzled into his chest, trying to rest her eyes for a few minutes. George smiled, hearing Dash say she loved him made it worth leaving his universe behind. He laid back, letting Dash get more comfortable. “Thanks for cheering me up a bit.” Dash said, “Seeing you here. Comforting me, it feels nice.” “Yeah.” George said, thinking back to something, “Hey, déjà vu, huh?” “Don’t ruin the moment, Georgie.” Dash whined, looking at George, “I’m still upset about my friends.” “Right. Sorry, now’s not the time to joke.” George said, “My bad.” “But at least we know what that dream meant.” Dash said. “Yeah.” George said, “I did get a bit confused last time.” “Well, we both were confused with that bubble.” Dash said, reassuring George. “Sure. Let’s go with that.” George said, trying to get a small laugh out of Dash. Dash giggled a bit, then looked around. “What’s wrong?” George asked. “Nothing, it’s just…I don’t want anypony to see us like this.” Dash said, “It’s bad enough that somepony already saw us hugging…” George pulled her closer, adjusted her onto laying on top of him. “So what if somepony saw us hugging?” George said with a smirk, “It’s not like anypony saw us kissing.” “True.” Dash said, she smiled a bit, and gave him a small peck on the lips. “I still don’t see the problem with having anypony see us like this.” George said, “After all, you’re always napping like you said. I don’t see the harm in seeing two ponies in love. It’s not like we’re the first two to ever fall in love.” “Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Dash said, “It’s just that everyone assumes I’m not into the ‘sappy’ things, like this.” “How come?” George asked, slightly curious. “They all assume since I’m always avoiding the moments where I see somepony else like this, and they all see that I’d rather train for the Wonderbolts rather than to find somepony who would care for them, they just guess that I’m not into that.” Dash replied, “But it’s the complete opposite. I would love to have somepony who cares for me. It’s just that every time I see somepony else with their special somepony, and seeing how nopony has tried asking me out or anything…It makes me feel like nopony cared. So I always looked away or acted grossed out before I would get questioned to death why I haven’t found anypony.” “Geez.” George said, “Sounds like you had a rough time.” “It’s not that bad.” Dash said, “If it weren’t for the bubble confusing us to death, we probably wouldn’t even be here. I might have accidently acted all grossed out if I found out you had feelings for me.” ‘Ouch.’ George thought, ‘Hearing that makes me a bit glad Twilight meddled.’ “But, at least we’re here now.” Dash said, “I guess that’s all that matters, right?” “Right.” George said. “So…What now?” Dash said, “I mean…I’m not used to the whole dating thing. To be honest I almost started to actually think I didn’t like the ‘sappy’ stuff.” “Neither am I.” George said, “I’ve never dated a girl in my life, neither have I kissed a girl.” “Yet you were able to pull off that kiss earlier?” Dash said. “I was only following along on a kiss you started.” George said, “How did you even learn how to kiss like that?” “Well.” Dash said, “I guess most of it is just from seeing other ponies kiss, y’know, before I’d look away or gag a few seconds later. I’ve been wanting to try it for a while, so I did.” “Looks a lot like more than just watching ponies kiss, then shortly look away.” George said, “You must’ve gotten some experience from somewhere.” “I may have dreamt a couple of times.” Dash said, “But I never actually kissed anypony in real life.” George looks off at the sky, and sees the sun is setting. “Well, at least I wasn’t late for our date.” George said. Dash looked off at the sky, noticed the sunset, and smiled. “Not as romantic as I expected it to be, though.” George said. “I don’t know…” Dash said, “Something about looking at the sunset with you makes me feel better.” George smiled, “Yeah, I guess you’re right, Dashie.” He said as he softly kissed her cheek. Dash smiled, and looked at George “Alright, come on. I got some explaining to do to Princess Celestia.” George said, trying to get up. “Celesia can wait a few minutes.” Dash said, holding George back down, having a smirk on her face, “I’m not done with you yet.” Before George could say anything, Dash was already kissing him, she had wrapped her arms around him, and he had done the same. Both of their wings quickly opened up. George’s wings were sticking out of the cloud, if anypony was looking up at the cloud, they would see his wings. They both were slightly surprised by this, but they were too lost on their kiss to even care. About five minutes later, they broke the kiss. They both smiled, they knew they both found their special somepony. “Okay, now we can go.” Dash said. “Aw, I kinda hoped that would last a little longer.” George said, “Next time, I guess.” They both got up, and looked off to where Celestia and Twilight were. “Huh, they’re not there.” Dash said. “I wouldn’t expect them both to be out here at this time, anyways.” George said, “After all, we were kissing during the sunset.” “Yeah.” Dash said, “They’re probably at Twilight’s house.” “Probably.” George said, “Hey, before we do head off to Twilight’s house. I want to ask you something.” “Sure, what’s up?” Dash said. “What happened with our wings earlier?” George asked, “I didn’t pay much attention to it, but now I’m a bit curious.” “Well, it’s like…” Dash said, “It’s like during a certain moment, like our kiss, we lose control over our wings and they just…spring open, I guess. I’m not exactly sure how it works.” “Oh.” George said, “I think I get it.” “I’ve seen it happen to several pegasi, but at different moments rather than a kiss. So it’s not that big of a deal.” Dash said. “Alright.” George said, “At least now I learned something extra about pegasi.” Dash nodded, prepping her wings to fly. “Wait.” George said, grabbing Dash’s attention before she took off, “We’re officially a couple now, let me carry you.” “No thanks.” Dash said, “I don’t like being carried around much.” “You could be relaxing on my back.” George said, “While I do all the walking.” Dash smiled at the thought. “Are you sure you’re alright with that?” Dash asked. “I’ve had to carry you before when you were glued to me thanks to that bubble.” George said, “Except this time you’ll be on my back, and not glued under me.” Dash opened her mouth, she was going to say something, but then stopped to think. “I guess I’ll be alright with that.” Dash said. “Besides, it’ll help me practice flying with someone on my back.” George said. “You’re just finding another excuse to carry me.” Dash said, “And it kinda worked. I was tired anyways.” George smirked, “Sure you were.” He said. “I was trapped in stone, in the air, after using my Element of Harmony, how does that not make me tired?” Dash said. “Relax, I’m teasing.” George said, carrying Dash on his back. “If you drop me…” Dash said. “I’m not going to drop you.” George interrupted. Dash held on to George as tight as she could, holding herself close to him. George took off, flying off to Twilight’s house, hoping Celestia and Twilight would be there. “You’re really getting the hang of this.” Dash said. “I learned from the best.” George said. Once they had arrived, George had knocked on Twilight’s door, loud enough for anypony one room away to hear it. Dash laid her head on top of George’s, relaxing while he did all the walking? “So you decided to stay up there?” George said, “I thought you didn’t like to be carried.” “I changed my mind, it feels pretty nice to be carried around places.” Dash said. “Would you do it more often?” George asked. “If you were okay with it, then yeah.” Dash said, “I’d love to do this more often.” Twilight opened the door, and noticed her two friends behind it. “Oh, hey you two!” Twilight said, “We were wondering where you went.” “Up in a cloud.” George said, “I was able to cheer Dash up there.” Twilight smiled, “Glad you’re feeling better, Rainbow.” “Thanks.” Dash said lifting her head off of George’s, “If it wasn’t for George coming to cheer me up, I probably would’ve gone completely insane.” “I think ‘completely insane’ is an over exaggeration.” George said, “You may have gone crazy, but not completely insane.” “Shut up!” Dash said playfully, looking down at George. “Well, come inside already. It’s getting really dark.” Twilight said. George walked in, seeing Celestia sitting not far away. ‘Well, at least she hasn’t left yet.’ George thought. “Good to see you back so soon, George.” Celestia said, “I’ve been wanting to ask about what happened to Twilight and her friends that turned them into stone in the first place.” “Yeah. I’ve been wanting to talk about that too.” George said, “According to Twilight’s books, it should’ve taken a lot of power in order to do something like that.” “That’s what I wanted to ask.” Celestia said, her face getting more serious throughout every sentence, “Who did you encounter that was able to do this in the first place?” “Not sure, really.” George replied, “He called himself ‘Number One’. And that there were ‘five of us’.” “Hm.” Celestia nodded, “I haven’t heard of this character, but whoever he is…” “He has the power to open a portal back to my universe.” George interrupted. Celestia stopped for a moment, and tilted her head. “Yeah, I’m a bit surprised by it too.” George said. “I told Twilight about him.” Dash said, looking to Twilight, “Did you ever look for anything related to that?” “Not really.” Twilight said, “There’s nothing on anyone having the ability to open portals to other universes. I only assumed it had to have been someone from his universe.” “Nope.” George said, “I would’ve known if he was from my universe. But the fact that he knows about both universes worries me. With that knowledge he could cause some serious trouble.” “I’ll keep an eye out for this ‘Number One’ character.” Celestia said, “If he has the unique ability as you say he does, then we need to find him before he causes more trouble.” “He’ll be back.” George said, “I think after our battle, he’s wanting to finish what he started. If we don’t find him, he’ll find me first.” “Then we’ll just wait until the next time.” Celestia said. ‘You sure that’s the best idea, Princess?’ George thought, ‘Sitting around and waiting for the bad guy’s next attack?’ “Well, I must head back to Canterlot.” Celestia said, “But before I go, I need you to tell me what ‘Number One’ looked like.” “He was a black stallion, with white mane and tail.” George said, “That’s the most recognizable parts I can name out. I didn’t see any cutie mark on him or anything, and he pretty much looked like an earth pony.” Celestia nodded, “I think that’ll do.” She said, “If we find anything, we’ll let you all know. In the meantime, you should find another way to free your friends from that stone prison. It’s not so easy using magic to free them.” ‘One alicorn was able to free one mare from stone in 30 minutes. Yet it took an alicorn and a unicorn together took 15 minutes.’ George thought, ‘Sure, let’s not question Equestrian logic.’ “Will do.” Twilight said. “Oh, and I almost forgot.” Celestia said, turning her attention to Twilight, “Here.” George and Dash watched as Celestia gave Twilight a letter, she turned her attention to George, then smiled. “Twilight will give that to you when the time is right.” Celestia said, “Now, I must go.” Celestia walked out of the house, and flew back off to Canterlot. “Is it just me, or did the Princess look like she was in a hurry?” George asked. “She’s like that sometimes.” Dash said, “You kinda get used to it.” “Right.” George said, “So now what?” “Well, I’m off to go study and see if I can find a way to free our friends. You could help out if you like.” Twilight said. “I’m pretty tired from traveling to my universe and back, and having to fight in both universes…Not as easy as you think.” George said. “Right.” Twilight said. “I’m just glad I didn’t lose you guys.” Dash said, laying her head back on George’s. “Me too.” George said, turning his attention to Dash, “So Dashie, do you want me to take you home?” “No thanks, I think I can handle going home without being carried.” Dash said, “But I’m not quite adjusted to having you live in my house, though.” “I didn’t ask if I could stay, that bubble got us confused, remember?” George said, “Something that was supposed to be one night only ended up being like two or three nights.” “Right.” Dash said, getting off of George, “Thanks for understanding.” She said, softly kissing his cheek. Twilight smiled, she finally got her two friends together like she had hoped. “No problem, Dashie.” George said, “Good night.” “Night.” Dash said, leaving the house, taking off to go to her own. George’s attention slowly turned to Twilight, who could only help but smile at the sight of him and Dash together. “…I hope you don’t mind if I stay here for a while longer.” George said. “No I don’t mind.” Twilight said, “So, you and Rainbow finally got together?” “Yeah, we did.” George said, “The bubble didn’t help very much, though.” “You’re never going to let that go, are you?” Twilight asked. “Nope.” George said, “I asked you not to meddle and you still did. It only helped a little, but still. Dash and I got together on our own.” “Alright, alright.” Twilight said, “Geez. I won’t meddle next time, okay?” “Alright.” George said, “Good night.” “Night.” Twilight said as George walked up the stairs into the guest room. ‘…Wait.’ George thought, ‘Did she just say ‘next time’? Great.’ Well, I’m not surprised to say this. But here I am again. Bright room, completely black, all I could see was myself. I slowly heard footsteps shortly after, I turned around and saw…myself. Last time something like this happened it was due to Twilight’s spell, or was it? Now that I think about it I never really did find the cause of that last time I encountered my human self. “Hello, George.” He said. “Um, Hi?” I said, questioning pretty much everything at this point. “I know what you’re thinking, am I another ‘fragment’ of your memory?” He said, “The answer’s no. I’m not.” “Then, who are you?” I asked. “Well, how do I say this right…” He said, “Think of it like this, I have all your memories, yet I don’t turn into smoke and force you to inhale me to receive my memories.” “So then…What are you here for?” I asked. “Let’s put it this way. We’re pretty much stuck together from now on.” He said, “I’m pretty much everything you used to be back when you were a human. And of course everything you currently are.” “So, like, a separate copy of me?” I asked. “Not quite.” He said, “First off, I was awakened right after you completely punched ‘Number One’ in anger. And second, I’m also here to protect some of the memories you shouldn’t be using here in Equestria.” “So, like a guardian?” I asked. “Kinda.” He said, “Guardian of the memories that you shouldn’t have, anyway.” “How do I know I can trust you?” I asked. “Well, we’re practically the same person. Whatever you’re thinking right now, I know what it is.” He said. “Oh really?” I asked. “And I also know for a fact you think Rainbow Dash is hot.” He said. At that point I felt my face get hot. Geez, how’d he find that out? “Ha!” He said, “That made you blush! See, I told you!” “Alright, alright.” I said, “So then, if you really hold my memories, why can’t I have the ones I need?” “Oh, right. Let me start off with giving you back your memories.” He said, “Maybe that’ll be enough proof that you can trust me.” After he said that, I could see so many things flashing on my mind, so many different memories. At least I can remember everything I needed to remember, now. “There. Now you can answer everyone’s questions, if they still have any.” He said. “Gee, thanks. I guess.” I said, a bit confused at all of this. Shortly after, we both heard loud tapping. It was three loud taps that were enough to catch my attention. “Well, looks like someone in the real world is trying to wake you up.” He said. “Huh?” I said, “So soon?” “There’s a lot about the dreamscape, I’m still learning about it myself, to be honest.” He said, “All I know is that time is really wacky in here. For all we know, you could’ve slept the whole day already.” The room started turning white, as I was slowly waking up. “Well, I won’t bother you anymore today, but we do need to talk later.” He said. “Right.” I said, “Thanks for giving back my memories.” “No problem.” He said, “Don’t forget, we need to talk later. It’s about Number One and some things that I looked into in the dreamscape.” The whole room became brighter, until all I could see was white. Then I woke up. George woke up, and noticed it was still nighttime. He heard the loud tapping sound again shortly after he woke up. “Ugh…” George said, “What’s going on?” He heard more tapping, the sound was coming from his window. George looked to the window, and saw Dash tapping on the glass, trying to get his attention. Once George had noticed Dash, quickly moved her arms around. “Dashie…?” George said, still a bit half-asleep. He got up from bed and walked to the window, and opened it, as soon as he did, Dash ran inside. “Dashie…” George said, “It’s the middle of the night…What’s going on?” “What? Can’t a mare see her stallionfriend whenever she wants?” Dash asked. “Yeah, but not when it’s the middle of the night, Dashie.” George said, “What’s really going on?” “Well, I had a rough time sleeping, and I was hoping if I could sleep with you tonight.” Dash said. George narrowed his eyes, “Sounds like that’s only half of why you’re here.” He said. “Okay, fine!” Dash said, “I…I had a bad dream.” “What was it about?” George asked. “It was…about us…” Dash replied, “Mostly just you turning our friends into stone, and you saved me for last…” She said as tears started flowing from her face. “Oh…” George said, “Dashie. You know that’s not gonna happen.” “I know…But it seemed so real…when I woke up, I had a hard time going back to sleep.” Dash said. George grabbed her, holding her close to him. She cried a bit into the hug, but he did whatever he could to cheer her up. “It’s alright, Dashie.” George said, softly kissing her forehead, “If you really want to, you can sleep here with me.” Dash sniffled, and looked up at him, and smiled. “Thanks.” She said, “It really means a lot.” “No problem.” George said, softly kissing her lips. Dash blushed, and they smiled as continued their hug for about a minute. “…Plus its freakin’ cold out there.” Dash said, “I would’ve been frozen in bed if I hadn’t come over here.” “That explains why you feel so cold.” George said, “C’mon, you’ll feel better in the bed. Wait…that kinda sounded wrong.” Dash giggled a bit, “Don’t worry, if I wanted to try something, you’d know.” She said. George got in bed, covering himself with the blanket, only for Dash to join in, covering herself with the blanket as well. He slowly grabbed onto her, and pulled her close, so they would cuddle themselves to sleep. She smiled, and wrapped her arms and legs around him, and nuzzled into his chest. “This is nice…” Dash said, “We should do this sort of thing more often.” “Yeah, we should.” George said, “I don’t mind sleeping with you like this, it’s pretty comfy cuddling with my marefriend.” “Same here.” Dash said, slowly falling asleep, “I wasn’t very into cuddling, to be honest...But now I see why so many ponies like to cuddle with their special somepony.” George smiled, “Good night, Dashie.” He said, softly kissing her forehead. “Good night, Georgie.” Dash said, falling asleep. ‘I could really get used to this…’ George thought, ‘Who knew I’d find love in another universe, when I couldn’t even get a date in my own. Sometimes I wonder how things are going back home, though.’ Two hours ago… Dash was in bed, thinking about the events that occurred earlier. She started thinking about her dream of becoming a wonderbolt. Should she continue to pursue that dream? Or should she stay with her friends and George? Hearing what he’s said about performers started to make her think about never getting to see her friends again. Eventually, she decided on what she wanted to do. She didn’t want to lose her friends, even if it meant never becoming a wonderbolt. She was already upset that she almost lost her friends earlier today. All she wanted to do was sleep at this point, and hope for the best tomorrow. …Until she had that dream. It was a stormy night, Dash was panicking, trying to run away. She looked back, and saw George holding on to Twilight by her neck, turning her into stone. Dash could only gasp and continue running. She runs into a corner, and looks around for a way to escape. George slowly walked towards her, she was cornered, nowhere to run, nowhere to fly, nowhere to hide. “So, ‘Dashie’.” George said, his attitude being completely different than his original, “Hope you enjoyed the show. Cause you’re next.” “No!” Dash exclaimed, “Please! This isn’t you, George!” “Oh, but it is.” George said, “I’d say that I’m sorry it’d have to be this way, but I’m really not.” “George, please.” Dash said, tears flowing from her eyes, “Don’t do this, what about all the good times we’ve had?” “Hmph. ‘Good times’.” George said, “I kinda feel sorry for you. Your own stallionfriend, right here, turning your best friends into stone, and then doing the same to you.” “George…” Dash said, “I know there’s still some good in you! Please!” Dash woke up right after that. Breathing heavily, tears flowing from her eyes, her heart beating insanely fast. She didn’t know what to think of this nightmare. “It…It was just a dream.” Dash said, “Whew. For a second there I thought that was really happening...” Dash tried going back to sleep, but she was worried she’d have the dream again. She would keep tossing and turning, trying to get some sleep. But the thought of possibly having the nightmare again wouldn’t let her sleep. “Ugh!” Dash groaned, “Why am I having such a hard time sleeping!?” Dash looked around, and thought about the dream again. She groaned in frustration, she wanted to stop thinking about the dream. She needed something to help get her mind off of it. She needed to see George again. “Geez, I just finished having a nightmare about him, and then now I want to see him in real life.” Dash said, “…But he somehow knows how to cheer me up.” A small blush showing on her face as she softly smiled. She got out of bed, left the house, and took off to Twilight’s house. When she got there, she noticed how everyone was asleep. She looked around to see if she could see George through one of the windows. When she saw him, she started thinking of how to get his attention without waking anypony else up. “Aww…He looks so cute when he’s asleep.” Dash said, beginning to tap on the glass. It was soft at first, but wasn’t loud enough to wake him up, then she started tapping on it harder, until he woke up. George could only wonder what happened in Dash’s nightmare. He’d have to ask tomorrow, once they woke up. He looked back at her, who had wrapped her arms and legs around him, and was nuzzled into his chest, enjoying her sleep, probably the best sleep she’s had. Then again, it was the first time he’s seen her sleep, excluding the times they slept together when they were confused by the bubble. He smiled, and couldn’t help but to kiss her head. “She so cute when she’s asleep.” He said, wrapping his arms around her, slowly falling asleep. He softly petted her mane until he completely fell asleep.
