Aliens Vs. Predator: New Blood
Final hunt
Previous ChapterRainbow was practically sweating as she, Yeyinde and Guan made their way towards the changeling hive. To think this all started with one ship landing in a clearing. Now it’s gonna end right near it to Rainbow thought to herself as the hunters got closer to the hive. She saw that it was indeed close to the ship which explained how Chrysalis was able to sneak in and pretend to be her. This was something Rainbow was not going to let slide easily.
“Guan-thwei, any serpents around here?” Yeyinde asked as the hunter released his spy drone. After a minute of the machine soaring around, it came back to the hunter.
“According to this, they’re all near the hive’s entrance. The serpents are now making their final stand.” He replied as he placed the machine on his belt. Then as on cue, all three hunters extended their blades.
“Now, we know our mission. Slay the serpents and make sure the abomination is destroyed. If we should lose our lives, we shall make sure these beasts come with us.” Yeyinde said as he looked to his wrist bracer. Their shoulder cannons also reacted as they stirred to life and aimed in various directions. The hunters then proceeded through the entrance to the hive and towards their prey. The moment they stepped in, Rainbow felt the squishy substance of the serpents mucus used to cover their walls and floors to ensure them easy grips and maneuverability. Suddenly, the hunters heard a sound that will stay in their memories forever. The sounds of a lot of Xenomorphs hissing.

Suddenly as if in a nightmare, what seemed to be thousands of serpents began to show through the cave’s entrance.
“There must be thousands of the serpents! How are we supposed to defeat them all?!” Guan asked in a lightly frightened tone. Rainbow just growled as she flexed her wrist blades.
“We kill them all.” She said in a cold tone as she charged headlong into the fray. Her blades tearing through the horde like they were made of wet paper. This was nearly short lived as the creatures soon had her surrounded and cornered next to a wall. Her cannon took out some of them but they just kept on coming, each and every one of them gunning for a chance to kill and drink her blood, until Yeyinde started to slash through them as well and helped clear a path through the horde for her to get through.
“Guan, any sign of the queen?!” Yeyinde shouted as he snapped a serpent’s neck.
“No! My serpent vision isn’t picking up anything!” Guan shouted back as he threw a battle disk, slicing apart seven serpents in a row.
“Maybe she’s deeper in the cave! We need to get through these drones first!” Rainbow shouted as she took to the air and zoomed as far as she could. She didn’t get far before she encountered changeling serpents meeting her in midair. The creatures hissed a little before they started to spit acid at her which she dodged with ease.
“IS THAT ALL YOU-” She began until she felt a powerful tug on her leg, causing her to slam into the ground below her. Rainbow looked, and saw what brought her down. It was the abomination.
“REALLY?!”
Meanwhile in Chrysalis’ chamber, she sat on her egg sack and growled to herself.
These hunters. Why can’t they leave us alone?! We’ve never done anything to them! We need to feed so we find our meals! Is that so-
“M-Mommy? What’s wrong?” A young voice asked in a scared tone. Chrysalis turned to her side and saw the youngest changeling of her old hive walking up to her with tear filled blue eyes. She kept this one hidden and away from the spot where the rest of her brothers and sisters were converted into the drones that now were being slaughtered by the hunters.
“N-nothing sweetie. Mommy’s j-just having a little problem now is all.” She lied.
“M-Mommy, are those meanies coming to get me?” The little changeling asked. Chrysalis leaned down and stroked her cheek, wiping the tears away.
“No they aren’t. I promise that they won’t get you. Mommy will always protect you.” She replied as she nuzzled her last and normal changeling.
“I love you mommy.” She said, making the large queen shed a tear.
“I love you too.” The little changeling said with enthusiasm.
The abomination slung Rainbow Dash through one of the walls which lead to a breeding room filled with other face huggers. She starred in revulsion at each one of them as she realized what would happen if even one of them got loose on the surface and latch onto a pony. The nightmare would never end. Everypony in Equestria would be converted into monsters bent on destruction and spreading. So acting quickly, she grabbed a mine from her wrist bracer and placed it in the middle of the room before running out of it. After pressing a few of the buttons on the bracer, the mine beeped before exploding, destroying every single egg within the room.
“Talk about fried eggs.” She joked. She smiled under her mask but it was short lived as the abomination soon had her in it’s clutches once more. It raised it’s tail over and began to bring it down when it was blasted by the familiar shot from one of the hunter’s energy cannons. It turned around and saw Yeyinde standing defiantly on top of a pile of drone corpses with his gauntlet blades extended to their full length. The Abomination roared before charging directly at the hunter. But Guan-thwei managed to land on its back, causing it to change directions and break through a hive wall, making the two land in a new room.

Yeyinde couldn’t believe that his hunting brother had that much courage in him. He observed as the two rose to their feet and began to walk in a combat circle. But before the combatants began, Guan detached the air nozzle from his mask.
He’s not- Yeyinde thought as he watched the hunter raise a clawed hand to his mask. And then, Guan removed the thing that protected his face, revealing underneath it a sight beyond sights. His reptilian skin was a tannish yellow with brown surrounding the ridge of his forehead. Bright yellow eyes with reptilian slits watched the abomination as it hissed and swung its mighty tail. His mandibles twitched as he growled at the monster. Then the two combatants released their best and mightiest roars.

The abomination made the first move as it flicked its tail towards the hunter but Guan was fast of his feet as the tail missed him by an inch. He responded in kind as he blasted the monster with his plasma caster but it grabbed him with it’s tail, it appeared to be very effective in this, as they both went crashing into a wall but the abomination grabbed Guan in it’s claws. The hunter struggled to break free from the monster’s grasp. But then the abomination began to squeeze the hunter, hoping to crush him like a bug. But then a sharp pain shot through the abomination’s back. It turned and saw the other slayer with a smoking plasma caster.
It growled as it charged the other hunter but found this one to be faster than the other and even stronger as it grabbed both of the abomination’s claws and actually started to bend them downwards causing it to screech in pain. Then with a powerful crack, the abomination’s fingers broke, making it howl in pain as the blood flowed from the openings in the fingers. With a smack of its tail, she sent the hunter flying into a wall, dizzying him. It approached him, hoping to finish it off. As it closed in for the kill the abomination felt a sharp pain in its head and felt that its dreadlocks were sliced off. It slowly turned around and saw the hunter from earlier standing proud but bloodied. The hunter emitted a short roar as he ran towards it. Guan crashed into the abomination and the fight continued. They scratched and slashed at each other but the fight kept going until each of them bore so many scars and wounds it was amazing that either one were still standing. Suddenly, the abomination launched its tail forward, impaling him through his shoulder causing his neon green blood to fly out and onto the wall and floor.
“GUAN!” Yeyinde shouted as he watched the monstrosity fling his body into a pile of bones. Yeyinde then charged as fast and hard as he could towards the monstrosity and to his surprise, knocked it off of its feet and onto its back. The surprise was short lived as he felt the tail wrap around his neck as it started to squeeze the life out of him. The abomination managed to get its version of a grin in as the tail started to squeeze every last bit of breathe out of Yeyinde but soon felt something grab it and looked down…. to see Guan grabbing onto it and start driving it towards a nearby hole. Guan smiled at his brother as the plasma caster on his shoulder blaster the tail end off freeing Yeyinde in the process. He then grunted as he pressed the button that opened his wrist bracer and activated the self destruct sequence.
“GUAN! DON’T!” He yelled as the hunter moved the monster towards the pit behind him.
“YEYINDE! MAKE SURE THE QUEEN IS SLAYED! I WILL SEE YOU IN THE HEAVENS!” Guan shouted as he made the abomination sink back and fall into the pit.
“NOOOOOO!” Yeyinde roared. The only sound that was heard soon after was the explosion of a wrist bracer which signaled the end of the last of the youngbloods. Yeyinde silently cried to himself as he took off his mask.
Rainbow, while the fight with the abomination was going on, snuck off and headed towards the chamber of the queen serpent. Knowing what was ahead she was surprised to see that the chamber was unguarded. She saw several guards hiss at her but they didn’t move a muscle to try and stop her.
“Welcome hunter.” A familiar voice said. She looked at the main part of the hive and saw her main reason to come in here.
“Chrysalis. Finally, I can end all of this.” Rainbow growled.
“Why do you want to do this Rainbow Dash? What’ve we ever done to you?” Chrysalis asked her. Rainbow rolled her eyes under her mask.
“‘What’ve we ever done to you?’ Gee let’s see. First you try and take over Canterlot and nearly hurting my best friend-”
“We were starving and had no choice.”
“-You then team up with an alien parasite that only cares for killing and spreading-”
“They’re family.”
“-and then you take my form and nearly kill my marefriend in the process. You’ve done plenty to make me hate you-”
“But we do that to survive. I need to find love for my children or else we starve. We’re doing nothing more than what nature had intended for us to do Rainbow Dash. And we were intended to feed off of love.” Chrysalis explained.
“What are you-”
“But we are treated as monsters when we just are innocent. Is it wrong to feed? Is it wrong to be different?” Chrysalis asked. As she finished saying this Rainbow noticed movement from behind the queen. Chrysalis realized she was trying to look behind her and sighed as she used her tail to nudge the little changeling out from her cover. She did so reluctantly and managed a small smile towards Rainbow.
“Is that-”
“It is. This is my last original child. One that was directly born from me instead of turned. I have kept her normal and have tried to keep her safe. But it seems like it is impossible that you’re now here. If you want to, please kill me. But do not harm my child.” She begged. Rainbow stood where she was stunned. Here it was, the last of a dying species that she had always thought was a monster and it was merely an infant and it’s fate was in her hooves to either end or spare. Rainbow raised her gauntlets and leaped…. towards Chrysalis. She made sure that the blades hit a vital area so that it would be a quick and painless death for the former queen. She gasped and coughed up some of her own blood.”P-please…. don’t hurt her.” Were her last words before she moved no more. Rainbow felt cold wet tears come to her eyes. Suddenly, she noticed the little changeling, and saw her crying her little eyes out. Rainbow slowly floated downwards to the little changeling but as she approached her, the little creature moved back.
“Hey, it’s alright. I promise I won’t hurt you sweetie. Come here please.” She said in a calming voice as she reached to the child.
“G-Go away! Mommy told me about you and your mean friends!” She screamed as she swiped Rainbow’s hoof away. This hurt the pegasus huntress as she never intended to hurt the little changeling.
“I-I’m sorry but…. mommy was very sick and I had to help her get better.” Rainbow said through clenched teeth.
“W-Will she get better soon?” The little changeling asked.
“Not for a while. But I’ll watch you until she can see you again. Is that alright?” She asked as she reached out again for the little one. Slowly but surely, the little changeling reached her hoof out and tapped it against Rainbow’s hoof.
“See, I’m not mean. I promise I’ll make sure you’re very happy.” Rainbow said in a soothing voice. Just as the changeling seemed willing to walk with her she crawled back.
“T-take it off.”
“Huh?”
“Y-your scary face. T-take it o-off.” She ordered Rainbow, who realized that it was the mask that made the changeling so scared of her.
“Alright.” Rainbow simply said. She then unhooked the air nozzle to her mask and removed it, making the little changeling gasp a little. But then she started to make funny faces which caused the little one to giggle. A few moments passed and the changeling had finally agreed to go with Rainbow. “I promise. I won’t hurt you okay? I won’t let you get hurt like this ever again.” Rainbow told the changeling who suddenly changed. Rainbow had to hold back a gasp and several tears as the changeling took the form of her deceased sister.
“I-Is this good?” The changeling asked as she observed her fur which was a pink color and her mane was a dark blue.
“It’s amazing. Now how about for a name we call you… Firefly?” Rainbow asked.
“Firefly? I love it!” She said happily.
“Well then Firefly, how about we go home?” She asked as she grabbed the filly’s hot pink hoof. The filly nodded with a smile of her face. They were halfway out when she ran into a grieving Yeyinde.
“Hey Yeyinde. Where’s Guan-thwei?” She asked as she looked around for him.
“He… sacrificed himself to make sure the abomination was killed. I tried to save him, but I was too late.” He replied. Rainbow gave a face of sadness for a moment before speaking.
“He was a great youngblood Yeyinde. We’ll remember him for how he saved Equestria.” She said boldly. Yeyinde looked back and sighed. All three of them walked out of the now dead hive and into the bright sun Celestia herself seemed to have made especially for them. They knew from then on out that things would be different and that they would make sure that it would be for the best.
