She keeps nibbling on the wing when I try to sleep.

Why do they insist on doing that, anyway? My guess is that she probably thinks it’s cute.

Not so cute when you’re just trying to sleep.

I whisper to her. “Not now.”

She giggles. “I couldn’t resist.”

I turn around to try and side eye her into stopping. Even though it’s dark, I can tell she’s grinning all coy-like.

Crap, she’s lucky that she’s cute.

Nevertheless, I’m not having any of it, so I tell her to buzz off the best way possible.

“One of these days, Rarity. Pow! Right in your jaw."

She giggles again. Darn it, that’s even cuter. “I know how much you adore it, darling, don’t be so brash.”

I roll my eyes. “Come on, I’m trying to sleep. Give it a rest.”

She gives me a little kiss on the nose. Admittedly, I feel a little better. Okay, she’s gonna let up, right? She’s gonna let me get a little shut-eye, yes?

Ha. No.

Instead, she crawls under the sheets and starts blowing raspberries on my belly.

Must. Not. Giggle.

I tell myself to focus. She’s left me no choice at this point.

Since my wings are freed, I take the opportunity to pick her up (yeah, I’m that strong. What of it?) and toss her off the bed. Not sure what’s louder, the thud or her shriek.

She huffs, taking a pillow with her magic and slapping me like it’s a pillow fight. These days, I can’t help but giggle at how mad she gets at this.

“Fine! Be that way, Rainbow Dash! I’m sleeping on the couch!” She storms out, door slamming behind her. I sigh and snuggle up against a pillow, ready to finally sleep.

Don’t worry, folks. She’ll be back in an hour, rustling up against my wings. This will probably happen again in a few nights, but it’ll still end the same way.

It’s not that bad, if you ask me.
