Liar- The DJ Rainbow Dash

The pair continued to trek through the trees, realization dawning on both that the sun would be going down within the hour. Everypony, especially the two of them, knew the old mare’s tale of what could happen in a forest at night.
“Rainbow dear, while I loved that incredible waterfall you showed me, I can’t help but wonder if you know the way back to Ponyville,” Rarity questioned, head darting around like a top with every noise heard. She wasn’t an outdoors mare, and could only wonder with fear onto the kinds of creatures which came out of the forest in the dark.
“Don’t worry Rares, I know exactly where I’m going!” Rainbow retorted, boasting with pride like always.
“Well alright, but I swear we have passed that mossy stone more than once.”
Rainbow’s eyes veered towards the object with Rarity was gesturing to, and her confidence took a hit of disbelief. She was definitely certain that they had seen the stone on more than one occasion. “Um… how do you know it’s the same mossy stone?”
Rarity walked over and flipped it upside down, being extra cautious not to get her hooves dirty. Underneath said rock was a stick. “Remember earlier on the way here? You put a stick under this rock, to help mark the way back. Now forgive my lack of directional skill, but I am pretty certain that passing the same place twice is not the right way to do it."
Rainbow stood there dumbfounded, more due to the realization that Rarity was right, and that her own sense of direction had failed her. She always enjoyed the capability of being able to know where she was or which way to go, and here she was stuck in a measly forest.
Stubbornness seemed to claim victory here.
“I was just checking to make sure that we were going in the right direction, it involved going by this stone twice, that’s all! Come on, just follow me this way!” Rainbow grabbed Rarity’s hoof and yanked her towards the direction she wanted to go.
Rarity didn’t question Rainbow, and instead let the pegasus continue to try and believe that she knew the way back.
Eventually, they seemed to be making process when Rainbow noticed a clearing up ahead.
“HA! See I told you I knew where I was go…”
Both of them stared at the waterfall they had just left 30 minutes ago.
“…ing.”
Rarity looked over at Rainbow and noticed the sullen look of defeat on her face, half thankful that her friend finally realized she was lost.
“So are you going to admit you lied about knowing where you were going?”
Rainbow merely nodded in response.
