It was a dark and stormy night, as Rarity lit a few candles to provide much needed light.

"Okay Dash...I lit the candles...you can come out now, the big bad storm isn't going to get you!" playfully stated the unicorn, trying to hold back her laughter.

"I'M NOT SCARED!!!" defended Dash trying to put up a brave face as she peeked out from behind the couch. "I just don't like the lightning."

"Okay...go ahead and keep on denying...I'll just be going to the closet to get some extra blankets for you...you'll be fine sleeping down hear by yourself with the severe storm raging outside right?"

"Of course I will!" stated a smug Dash trying to hide her secret fear. "I've slept through worse!"

"Good...I'll be right back." Rarity took the candlestick with her magic and headed up stairs to get the extra blanket and pillow.

Unwittingly leaving the room Dash was in, in utter darkness, with the lightning from outside being the only light source.

"I am not...scared..." mumbled the pegasus to herself. She closed her eyes tight...hoping that if she doesn't see the storm, everything will be less scary.

Dash, to her shock, could still see the flashes of lightning through her closed eyelids, making her even more scared. "Not scared!"

Suddenly, a loud thundering boom shook the boutique as a bolt of lightning struck dangerously close by. "I AM SCARED!!!" screamed Dash as she flew up upstairs to be with Rarity.

"RARITY!!!" the cyan pegasus yelled before tackling Rarity to the floor and knocking the candlestick that Rarity was holding with it. The room was momentarily shrouded with darkness, before the unicorn's horn started glowing to provide light.

Rarity to her surprise, saw Dash over her, pinning her to the floor. "Okay!" admitted Dash. "I AM scared!!! I don't want to sleep by myself!!!" finally being honest with herself.

"It's okay to be scared every once in a while Dash." she then brought Dash into a tight hug. "Why don't you sleep with me on my bed instead?"

Dash just quietly nodded and accepted Rarity's proposal. "Thanks Rarity...you're an awesome friend."

"No problem..." they both looked into each others eyes before the finally met with a kiss.
