When Cloudsdale Comes Calling

When it got cold Rainbow Dash closed the window to their cabin. She walked around, looking back and forth. It was still chilly in the cabin. Lightning Dust walked in.

"You're late" said Rainbow Dash

"I know" said the arogent pony snotally.

She trotted over to her bed, and crashed. The other ponies had to stay up and do all the work.

'I cant believe I used to act like that' though Rainbow Dash. She was the first to be done with her work. The ponies would set out  twomorrow. Rainbow was not nervouse at all, if she died she died. There was nothing she could do about it.

The sun light on her face as it way rising over the horizin of the training hill. It looked as if she was the first one awake. She looked at her clock.

'9:00am' They were late.

She woke all the other ponies up, it toke some efort but she did. They all ran down to the group of ponies standing in the middle of camp. She was not used to thes new sleeping habbits. The sun was bellow a cloud, so it was now gray in the sky. The fog got higher, and the air was so cold you could see the heat that came from there mouths as they exhailed.

"NOW" screamed a sargent looking pony.

"I AM COMMEND CURRENT, AS IN THE WIND CURRENT"

Some ponies in the front were giggling.

"AND WHATS SO FUNNY" shouted the commender.

"Nothing" said the one pony.

He led them to a cabin.

"THIS IS WERE THE SICK, AND INJURED PONIES STAY" he said.

"WEVE HAD MANY OF THEM"

He countiued walking. The rocks bellow his hooves making a chrunchy sound, as if he were eating a bag of dried dasies.They kept walking, until they reached a hill.

"THIS IS OUR CAMPING GROUND" he said.

"THIS IS WERE WE WILL CAMP BEFORE BATTLE, UNPACK YOUR TENTS. I WILL GIVE YOU A PARTNER AND YOU WILL SLEEP IN THE SAME TENT AS THEM. NOT WITH THEM IN THE SAME TENT, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR" that last part sounded angry.

"YES" the crowd of ponies said in sync. He put people with partners,

"BLOSSOMFORTH AND CLOUDKICKER, HOLLYDASH AND DERPY HOOVES, DAISY ROSE, AND SILENT WIND, WHISPER WINGS AND RAIN CRACKLE, AND RAINBOW DASH AND LIGHTNONG DUST"

UGH!!! Were paired up again though Rainbow as she troted over to the green tent the commender geustured her to.

Lightning Dust was waiting there for her.

"You're slower than last time" she chuckled at har own joke.

"And you're snottier" Rainbow Dash combatted.

After that combat Lightning Dust didnt speak.

The night was cold, and Rainbow heard,................. Speaking. She looked over to see Lightning Dust talking in her sleep. Her hoofes were running in place as she spoke words that were just clear enough so Rainbow could here.

"no mother dont... your...... you said youd be there for...... I love you to"

Then, Lightning woke up to see Rainbow Dash looking at her.

"WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME" Lightning Dust said firmly in a loud whisper.

"Nothing, you were just sleep talking"

"I was" Lightning Dust said embarrassed.

"Yea,........ what were you dreaming about" asked Rainbow curiously.

"My mother, I lost her long ago when my house caught on fire" said Lightning Dust.

"Thats so wierd, I lost my mother to. She died from a tomber in her wing, and chest"

"I geuss we have more in common than we though" said Lightning Dust.

"Yea, I geuss we do" said Rainbow Dash warmly.
