Clockwork's adventure.by Cadances PaladinChaptersThe Prologue.Work like a clock. The gears keep grinding.Time for school!Memories are fun.The Prologue."Mares and gentlecolts, your graduating class of 2004, of the university of Manehattan!" The dean of the previously stated university said, allowing the graduates to stand up and throw their caps in the air. All the students did this, and many cheers were heard. One stallion in particular, had been thrilled to have finally finished his studies at the university. The stallion was named Time Turner, and he looked up and saw his marefriend was flying in the air to find him, and from what he could tell, his crossed eyed gray Pegasus marefriend was tearing up, and then she darted down to her stallionfriend. "Turner!" She said hugging her stallionfriend. squeezing every bone she had her legs around "I'm so happy for you! I can't believe it's been THIS long since you started coming here!" Time Turner chuckled and said "Thanks Derpy, I'm glad to!" then returned the death hug with his own hug. After a couple moments of hugging, Time Turner broke the hug and said "Hey, let's go out to dinner tonight, alright?" "Yes!" Derpy said "Let's go, I wanna put on my fanciest dress!" She said, pulling her stallionfriend to their ride, which confused a lot of ponies on why they chose to ride in a phone booth around Equestria. Once inside, Derpy had to readjust to the bigger interior of the blue box she and her stallionfriend just entered. "I'll be right back!" Derpy said to Time Turner, heading for her room to get her dress on. Turner thought he'd go put on his own fancy attire, and went to his room to put on his best suit. Once he finally got it on, he looked in the mirror to see how he looked. He was wearing a black vest, with a white shirt underneath, and a dark brown bow-tie to top it all off. After examining his self in his mirror, Time Turner went back into the main area of what he knew as the 'TARDIS' and waited for Derpy, as he got their transportation ready for travel to the restaurant that he planned for them to go. After some whizzing and buzzing, and some 'REEEEOoohhh...'-ing going about, the machine started and flew to the restaurant nearby the university campus, and landed nearby on the corner of the street near the restaurant. It took a while, but Derpy finally came out of her room, and revealed herself to Time Turner, and he was amazed, stunned by his marefriend's appearance. Derpy wore a blue dress, that covered everything down from her wings back, but allowed room for her wings to still be unfolded from time-to-time. "Hey, whadda you think?" Derpy asked. Turner had kept gawking at his marefriend like he was still a school-colt in secondary school looking at the prettiest mare in the class. He finally was able to close his jaw, after it dropped several times, and was able to say something, but what came out as a mutter "Y-You.... I just can't.... Lovely...." After this, he extended his right hoof, so to court his marefriend. Once she finally accepted his hoof, Derpy and Turner left the blue box and went into the restaurant to eat their meal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The two ponies had finished their meal, and enjoyed their night and meal. "So, Derpy, there's something I've wanted to ask you, something rather important." Turner said. Derpy began to form tears in her eyes, then said while trying not to cry "You wanna leave me and go to someplace far away!?" succumbing to the worst possible outcome. Turner looked confused, but felt morally outraged that his marefriend thought he'd leave her to go someplace far away from her. Well, he did actually in a way leave her to go someplace far away when he was accepted in the university, but that was behind him. "What? No, Derpy!" Turner said, trying to calm down the now crying mare, who still thought Turner was leaving her "Derpy, that's not it! It's just-" Turner continued, trying to find the words he was trying to use "Derpy," He began, pulling out a small box "will you marry me, and become my wife?" Derpy couldn't believe what she had just heard. Was she hearing this correctly, was he really proposing to her? She didn't know, but instead of giving an answer when she could've, she began to cry some more. She cried for a minute, then looked through her watery eyes to see a sad looking Time Turner, then said to her stallionfriend "Of course *hic* I'll *hic* marry you!" as she threw her legs around her fiancé. After paying the bill, and apologizing for the noise the two made, Turner and Derpy went back inside the blue box they arrived in, and went to Turner's bed room to... Well, you've probably figured out by now, haven't you? 4 months later... Turner couldn't believe it, he was almost late for his wedding, and he was a lord of time! He was glad to have made it to the alter before his fiancé did, because if he didn't, she would've probably killed the stallion! Soon, after he arrived at the alter, everypony got quiet, and the piano nearby was being played by Turner's brother, Pianissimo. He looked turned around, and the sight before him left him awestruck. Derpy was wearing a light wedding dress that looked exactly like the dress she wore the night Turner proposed to her, and next to Derpy was Derpy's dad, Heavy Weight. Now, Heavy Weight always scared Turner, cause Heavy Weight looked scary! A buff Pegasus with extremely strong wings, what's not scary about that?! Not to mention the fact that he had always had stubble instead of some, or no facial hair! But, back to Derpy waling up the aisle. Derpy had walked up the aisle, next to her father. When they arrived, the one marrying Derpy and Time Turner asked "And who gives this mare to be this stallion's wife?" Heavy Weight replied with "I, Heavy Weight, allow this weakling stallion to love and care for my daughter, or he'll face me!" "Daddy!" Derpy said "You promised you wouldn't pull that act today!" "Sorry Derpy" Heavy Weight said, then let go of his daughter, letting her go to her fiancé. After Derpy stepped up to the alter, the priest had continued with the ceremony as planned. After some really boring talking, to Derpy and Time Turner, the priest finally said "Do you, Time Turner, take Derpy Hooves to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "I do, forever and always." Time Turner said, holding Derpy's right hoof with his left hoof. "And do you, Derpy Hooves," The priest continued "take Time Turner to be your lawfully wedded husband?" "I do," Derpy began, looking into her fiancé's eyes with her crossed eyes "for ever and always!" The priest smiled, then said "I now pronounce you, husband and wife!" then closed the bible he had with him "You may kiss the bride!" Time Turner turned to Derpy, and looked deep into her eyes, then kissed his wife, and closed his eyes to embrace the moment as something even more precious to him then getting out of college itself. Everypony in the crowd roared with glee and cheers of joy, all except for Pianissimo, who silently clapped for his brother. Once everypony clamed down, they newly weds went to cut the cake. "OK, so how do we do this?" Turner said, blushing while not wanting to put the cake cutting knife into his mouth. After getting some assistance, he and Derpy finally cut their cake and had a slice together. After the cake was cut, everypony had started to either dance or have some food, while the newly weds had danced together, first doing the tango, then started doing some spin dancing, even to the point of break dancing from Time Turner. Eventually, it was time, and Derpy and Time Turner had went to their hired carriage, which would take them to their honeymoon. "OK, everything done before we go?" Turner asked his wife. "Hmm..." Derpy said "Oh, wait!" She continued, then stuck her head out the carriage and threw her bouquet behind her, not seeing who'd catch it. "OK, now we can go!" Derpy said, as she stuck her head and body back in the carriage. As the carriage left, tin cans were clanking on the ground as it moved, and the sign on the back said "MARRIED TOAY! JEALOUS MUCH?" As their last wedding joke the two decided to pull on their way out. "You know," Turner began "I think we'll enjoy Canterlot while we're there. Don't you?" Derpy hugged her husband, then said to him "Yeah, and when we get there, I've got a surprise for you!" as she booped his nose. Work like a clock. The sound of an alarm clock woke up a sleeping Time Turner, who struggled to open his eyes. "Ah, dreams are pleasant! I'm glad I dreamed about the past last night. Heck, I guess even a Timelord's dreams need some time skips from here to there." He thought, as he looked at his six-month pregnant wife. Oh yeah, that's right, I left out that detail. Well long story short, Time Turner and Derpy moved into Turner's clock shop, stayed as just the two of them for a year, then decided to have a foal. As Time Turner looked at his sleeping wife, he remembered the day they went to tell Derpy's parents that she was pregnant. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Derpy and Time Turner stood at the door step to Derpy's parent's place. Derpy, being two months pregnant at this point, was worried what her dad would think. "Are you sure about this Turner?" Derpy asked in a worried tone. "Yes, they deserve to know Derpy." Time Turner said, then knocked on the front oak door. Derpy's mom opened the door, and said "Derpy, Turner! I haven't seen you two since you took that vacation to Baltimare when I was there on my business trip! Come in, please!" As she pulled in the two ponies. Once inside, the two sat down on a couch that was near the one Derpy's mom and dad sat upon. "So, what is this about?" Heavy Weight asked, looking Turner dead in the eye. "Well Daddy," Derpy began "well...... I'm pregnant Daddy, Mom. Me and Turner are going to have a foal!" Turner decided, trying to be funny, to say "Yep, and we found out when I was drunk off my edge!" And laughed at his joke, not knowing that would stir up Heavy Weight. "You son of a whore, I'LL KILL YOU!" Heavy Weight shouted, as he tackled Turner. "Daddy! Turner was joking, we planned it!" Derpy said, trying to pull her father off of her husband. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turner still laughed at his joke, even though it was made four months ago. Seriously, who does that stuff? Crazy ponies, that's who. Anyways..... Turner went to take a shower, being as careful as he could to not wake up his sleeping wife. Once he took his shower, Time Turner went downstairs and opened his clock shop, which he operated and lived in. He went and placed the "OPEN" sign on it's proper side, then looked at the sign outside the shop that said "TIME'S SHOP" which he always liked. A couple hours went by, and the day's first customer came in and said "Hey Time Turner, how are you and Derpy?" Vinyl Scratch asked "Also, can you fix my broken clock, my music made it shake and fall on the ground again." Hearing this, Time Turner chuckled and said "We're doing good. Also, you need to stop playing your dub-step so loudly if you want a working clock. So, did you hear the news?" Vinyl looked at Time Turner confused, then realized what he meant. "Oh yeah! You and Derpy are expecting a foal right?" She asked Turner gave a smug looking grin, and said "Yep, we've only got to wait three more months till our little colt or filly is running around here." Then went to look at the broken clock, then sighed heavily and said "You know it'll take me about 6 weeks to fix this?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3 months later.... It was 2 am in Ponyville, and Time Turner rushed into the hospital with his wife, and was running by her side while she was rushed on a gurney. "Come on honey, breath in and out!" Turner said, as his wife was breathing heavily. "Turner, I'm about to give birth, what do you think I'm trying to do!" Derpy shouted, as she felt some more pain in her stomach "Turner," Derpy began as they closed near the delivery room "I want you to wait outside the delivery room for me!" This made Time Turner raise an eyebrow, but he knew he couldn't, nor wouldn't, defy his wife's wishes, especially now. As they got closer to the door, Time went to sit down at the chair nearest to the door into the room where Derpy would be giving birth to their foal. As he sat down, the doctor and nurses rushed inside, and closed the doors. As he sat and waited, he couldn't bear to listen to his wife's screams of pain and he couldn't ignore them either. The more he waited, the more it seemed like he was falling asleep. No matter how hard he tried to force himself to stay awake, the Sand Stallion decided Time needed some rest this morning. Turner was waken up by a nudge from Nurse Redheart, who said to the waking stallion "Mr. Turner, you can see your wife now!" Tim Turner was shocked to hear this(for some odd reason) and was shocked to find out he slept for.... Wait, how long did he sleep? Turner looked around for a wall clock, or something to tell time, and finally saw a clock that said "8:50 AM" on it. "Wow.... I slept for 6 hours and 50 minutes?" He asked himself, as he went inside the delivery room Derpy was still in. When he entered, he saw Derpy holding their foal in her hooves, saying to the blanket wrapped foal, who was whimpering in their mother's hooves from the earlier events "It's OK, I've got you little angel. Mommy's here, don't worry." as she stroked the foal's light blonde mane. Time Turner walked closer to his wife, and said "Wow, they have your mane and tail." as he said this, the foal opened their eyes, revealing a golden yellow "AND your eyes, and they have my coat color. So, is it a filly or colt?" Turner asked his wife. "We've got a beautiful Pegasus colt Turner, we did it!" Derpy said, as Turner wrapped a leg around his wife's shoulders. "So, did you ever come up with a name for our colt?" Derpy asked "It was decided by us that if our foal was a filly, I'd be the one to name her, and if they were a colt you'd name them." Time Turner picked up his son, who in return stretched his wings out a bit, and then said to his wife while looking at his son "I've decided on the name... Clockwork!" Time Turner said, then began to talk to his son "Hey there Clockwork, I'm your daddy!" Derpy giggled a bit, then took their foal and said "Turner, you know you're going to have to retire, right?" Turner looked confused, then asked "Why would I have to retire from the clock shop?" But realized what Derpy actually meant. "Oh, you mean my retirement of my Timelord-ship? OK, I'll retire from it to raise our son." Time Turner said, looking at his wife, and then turned to their now sleeping son, and smiled at the miracle that he and his love brought into this world. The gears keep grinding. It was a calm morning in Ponyville, and the day started off with Time Turner getting out of bed, and going to feed his sleeping son. This routine had started 6 months ago, a couple days after his son's birth when Derpy and him were able to take Clockwork back to their home. Once out of bed, Time Turner went to his son's crib, which sat at the foot of his bed. He walked as lightly as he could, trying not to wake his sleeping son. As he got closer, he looked in his son's crib, and looked at the sleeping bundle laying in it's bedding, wrapped inside a snow white(color-wise) blanket. Time Turner smiled, then picked up his son by his mane, gently, and took him downstairs to the kitchen. This proved to be rather difficult, since he'd have to go down the flight of stairs without dropping his son. Somehow, SOMEHOW Time Turner was able to make it down without dropping his son. He was just glad that every time his son dropped, that Turner would catch his son in his hooves before his son made contact with the ground. Once he entered the kitchen, Turner placed his son in his high chair, then went to the refrigerator to get a bottle of milk for his son, and got some for himself as well. Once he got the milk, he got his son's bottle ready, and poured the milk into the bottle, then slapped the bottle nipple onto the top. Once he had put the nipple on the bottle, Time Turner heard a soft yawn behind him, and when he turned around he saw his young son waking up and unwrapping himself from his blanket. "My, you're up early today aren't you Clockwork?" Turner asked his son, knowing that Clockwork would only give him some random sound that most foals(until they learned to speak at least) would say all the time. After getting a response, which to Turner sounded like "Gada!", Time Turner gave his son his bottle, then went to make some breakfast. Once he was at the stove, Turner turned on one of the burners after placing a pan over it, and went to get some eggs to turn into scrambled eggs. After getting the eggs, he cracked some over the pan and started to scrambled them. In the middle of making them, Turner swore he could feel the room get colder, until he looked up and noticed his wife hovering above him, flapping her wings repeatedly to stay air-born. "Hi honey, how'd you sleep?" Derpy asked. "Rather well." Turner replied "Guess our little Clockwork decided to sleep in last night." He lastly said, giving a chuckle towards his son, who was still drinking his milk from the bottle given to him. Derpy landed, then walked towards her son, and picked him up and said "And how are you Sweetie?" holding her son to where he'd be over her shoulder, and began to pat him to get him to burp. After burping her son, which took quite a while, Derpy set Clockwork back in the high chair he originally sat in, then walked to get herself and Time Turner plates for their eggs. After getting the plates, Derpy got each herself and Turner a plate of eggs, then sat them down at the table, then went for a small plate to feed to her son. Once she got the plate ready, Derpy sat the plate down on her son's high chair's tray, then got a fork ready and tried to feed her son, who tried his best to get away from the mysterious yellow food that was being pushed towards him. "Come on Clockwork, you gotta eat your breakfast!" Derpy said to her son, pushing the fork a bit closer to who her son, who in return leaned back even farther than he already had. Watching this, Turner looked back down at his eggs and began to eat, thinking what could be wrong with the food he made. Derpy pulled the fork back, not wanting her son to lean back so far that he'd cause the high chair to fall backwards, and began to think of someway to get her son to eat. After a couple of minutes, Derpy thought of the perfect idea "Clockwork, if you eat your breakfast, I'll take you to the park today!" Upon hearing this, Clockwork's eyes lit up, then he became compliant with eating his breakfast, which he actually began to enjoy! After finishing his breakfast, Derpy noticed that Clockwork had some eggs on his cheeks, and got a dish towel to wipe her sons face with, so that he'd be clean when they went to the park. After cleaning his face, Derpy went and got the foal carrier that she got from her baby shower from her friends Lyra and Bon-Bon. After getting the carrier one, Derpy put her son in it, and went to Turner and said "I'll be back, i promised our fussy eater I'd take him to the park if he ate his breakfast." Derpy then planted a kiss on Turner's cheek. Turner responded to Derpy's statement with "I know dear, I was sitting right next to you!" with a slight chuckle "I'll watch the shop while you two are gone. Love you Derpy!" "Love you too Turner!" Derpy said, as she was heading out the door to the outside of the shop. Once outside, Derpy looked down at her son and asked him "So, how do you wanna get to the park today Sweetie?" knowing what his answer would be. Clockwork looked up at his smiling mother, and replied with "Ada!" which meant he wanted Derpy to fly them there, which was always something Clockwork loved doing, flying! Derpy immediately responded with a bound into the air, and hovered only 7 feet off of the ground, so to keep her son safe from any danger that would await him in the skies. It took a good long while, but Derpy and Clockwork arrived at the foal's park of Ponyville. Derpy landed on the ground as soft as she could, and began walking towards a bench where an orange earth pony friend of hers was sitting. Once there, she let Clockwork go and have some fun at the safe play area, and sat down next to her friend and said "Hey Applejack! You ere with Applebloom today?" The orange earth pony was scared by her friend, as she didn't know that Derpy arrived cause she was so busy with looking round that she didn't hear Derpy arrive! "AH!" Applejack screamed "Oh, hey there Derpy! Yeah, Ah'm with Applebloom t'day, Ah promised Granny Smith Ah'd take her here t'day." Applejack explained, looking at her 6 month old sister playing in a sand box, then noticed a light brown pegasus colt walk near here and sit down next to her. "Well looky there! Ah think Applebloom's makin' a new friend!" When Derpy looked over to where Applejack was looking, she noticed her son was playing with Applebloom, and said to Applejack "Hey, that's my son with your little sister!" As she smiled, happy her son was making friends already. Derpy and Applejack spent the next hour watching the two foals play together, whether it was in the sand box they met in, or running around. After this hour was up, Derpy went to pick her son up to take him home for the rest of the day. After she got her son in the foal carrier, she walked over to Applejack, who had Applebloom in a hoof-made carrier made from Granny Smith, and said "Well, it's been a fun day with you Applejack, but I gotta head home. See ya later!" "See ya later Derpy," Applejack said "I gotta head back home m'self to begin working on my chores!" As she left, Applejack waved goodbye, and Derpy did likewise. Before she left, Derpy asked her son a question "So Clockwork, how do you wanna head home?" again knowing the answer she'd get. But this time, was actually rather different. More specifically, Derpy didn't expect her son to reply with what he did. Looking up at his mother, Clockwork said "Ada Mommy!" with a smile on his small squishy face. Derpy was about to take off, but she stopped herself to try to recollect what she heard. "Sweetie, what did you say to Mommy?" Derpy asked her son, who looked disappointed that they weren't flying. "Ada Mommy!" Clockwork repeated "Ada!" reaching his arms out and stretching his wings out to try to tell his mother he wanted to fly home. Derpy began to tear up, but held back her tears, so not to make her son cry. As she wiped away her tears, Derpy began to fly as fast as she could while staying at a safe level back to the clock shop she lived in. It, once more, took a while to get to their destination, but Derpy and Clockwork made it home around the time Turner was on his lunch break. "Turner, Turner you won't believe it!" Derpy shouted as she entered the kitchen, after bursting through the kitchen door "It's about Clockwork!" Turner looked confused at what was going on, and asked "What, what happened to him? Is he hurt, what happened Derpy!?" As he tried examining his son from what he could see of him. Derpy lifted Turner's face with her hooves, so he'd be looking at her when she said this, and told him the answer she long awaited to give him "He said his first word! He called me 'Mommy'!" After hearing this, Time Turner was amazed, astounded by this statement! He turned to his son, and picked him up and said "Wow, you're becoming a fast learner, aren't you Clockwork!" while holding his son in the air like an paper air plane. "Uh-huh Daddy!" Clockwork said, giggling at being up so high off of the floor beneath him. After hearing this, Turner began to laugh like a proud father would if his son won a tournament or something, and hugged his son. Soon after this, Derpy came in for a hug as well, and soon the family was having a group hug inside the clock shop's kitchen. Time for school!8 years later... Clockwork awoke in his bed, and looked at the many clocks in his room. The time was 6:30 AM, and he remembered what today was. Today was Clockwork's first day of public school, as he was home schooled up to this point in time, and when he remembered this, Clockwork jumped out of bed, and as any foal would do, he rushed to his parents room and started to jump on their bed and say "Mom, Dad, it's my first day of school today, get up!" Time Turner groaned at his son's abrupt appearance and Derpy moaned a bit, then told her son "Clockwork, it's 6:30 in the morning. Why are you up so early?" while yawning, which was caused by her sleep from the night before. "Because it's my first day of school!" Clockwork repeated, getting his parents to remember this detail for today "And I'm just so excited! Come on, wake up!" Clockwork continued, while pushing against his mother's shoulders, then his father's shoulders. Time Turner yawned, then said to his over excited son "Listen, if you wait another 15 minutes, I'll make you breakfast. OK?" hoping his son would allow the next fifthteen minutes of slumber that Turner wanted, and needed from pulling an all nighter trying to fix a broken clock. "OK!" Clockwork said, as jumped off his parents bed then went down stairs. "You know..." Turner began "I'm not sure how you convinced me to let our son go to Cheerilee's school." Derpy turned on her side to face her husband, then got closer to him and whispered softly into his ear "Because you love me too much to say no!" Then moved back and turned her back t o her husband again to try to sleep, and lastly said "Plus Cheerilee owes me a favor, and this is that favor now, to let our son into her school." After 15 minutes, Turner upheld his end of the bargain he gave to his son, and went down stairs to make him some breakfast, as well as everypony else some breakfast to start their day. Clockwork sat eagerly at the table and awaited whatever it was his father was cooking. Clockwork could smell the most amazing, tasteful thing he ever smelled in his life! As he sat and waited, he looked at the watch he slapped on his wrist when he left his parents room, and looked at the time. According to his watch, which was never wrong, the time was 6:56 AM by this point of time. Whilst his son was distracted by time, Time turner took the chance to surprise his son by setting his plate down next in front of him. After the plate of food was placed in front of him, Clockwork realized what he was smelling. He was amazed, awestruck, he couldn't believe what he saw. His father made him pancakes and hashbrowns, and Turner only made them on days that he deemed really important! Clockwork began to shovel down the amazing food that his father made, but quickly got a stomach ache because of his poor decision making. After they were done with breakfast, Derpy came downstairs into the kitchen/dining room and sat down at the table and said "Well, today must be super important!" as she messed up her son's combed mane. "So, you ready for school?" Derpy asked her son. "Yeah! I can't wait to make a bunch of new friends!" Clockwork began "I'm ready to go!" "Whoa!" Turner began "Slow down son, we still need to get ready too you know?" He said to his son, as he went to the bathroom to comb his mane. After this, Derpy followed and went to brush her teeth, which caused Turner to brush his, and everything(almost at least) one did, the other did as well. Clockwork went to his bathroom upstairs, and got ready himself, as he looked into the mirror, he thought to himself "I wonder if anypony will understand my love for time?" but shrugged it off, thinking that he couldn't be that hateable. After some time, Clockwork got ready and headed out for the school with his mother, while his father stayed behind to tend to the shop. It took some getting use to, but Clockwork finally was able to start flying 5 feet off of the air, and was looking around the town, recognizing some of the buildings. "Hey, there's the bakery, where that one pink mare lives..." Clockwork began to think to himself "And there's the market place. Hey, is that the school over there?" He thought, looking at a red church looking house. "Hey Mom, is that the school house?" Clockwork asked, looking at the watches on his right leg. "Yep!" Derpy said "Your teacher is Ms. Cheerilee, she's actually one of my best friends!" Derpy continued, as they got closer to the school house. Once they arrived, Derpy said to Cheerilee "Hey Cheerilee, this is my son Clockwork!" The magenta mare smiled and said "So you're the colt I've been told about? Well, welcome to the school system! Come on, I'll show you to your classroom. It was great meeting you again Derpy!" Cheerilee said, as she brought Clockwork inside. Once they were inside, the school bell rang, and every foal in the room ran to their desks for the school day to begin. "Good morning class!" Cheerilee said, eager to see all of her students "I'd like to introduce you to your new classmate, Clockwork!" The teacher said, waving a leg over to Clockwork, who looked pretty happy to be here. "UGH! Not another Blankflank!" a pink filly wearing a tiara said "We had enough of those when Cloud Basher came, and later he almost destroyed Ponyville with that tornado he made!" The filly continued A red pegasus colt with a blonde mane stood up and said "Shut up Diamond Tiara! I saved my family from that tornado, or did you forget that?!" The colt said, pounding his hooves together, symbolizing he wanted to fight the filly "Do I have to beat you up for spreadin' rumors?" "Cloud Basher! What have we discussed about fighting other students and making threats to said students!?" Cheerilee said "Do i have to give you detention once more?" "No ma'am...." Bash said "Stupid friggen Diamond Tiara." Bash muttered underneath his breath, then went back to his desk and started writing in a note book. "He seems to be an awesome friend!" Clockwork thought. So, Ms. Cheerilee, where will I sit?" Clockwork asked. "Hmm, good question...." Cheerilee said, then examined the room, then found a seat for Clockwork and said "Oh, why don't you sit behind Applebloom?" The teacher said, pointing to the seat behind a yellow filly who wore a giant red bow in her mane. "Okay!" Clockwork said, and went to sit down behind the filly. Once he sat down, the school teacher sat behind her desk and said "I'm sorry class, but the clock in the room is broken, and I can't get it fixed until next Friday, so we'll have t figure out time on our own for the time being." Hearing this, almost everypony in the room moaned in ager, especially Cloud Basher, who hated not knowing the time of day, so that when recess came he could take an afternoon nap "Ah come on Ms. Cheerilee! You gotta be kidding me!" Bash said. The teacher sighed and said "No Bash, I'm not kidding, the clock isn't working!" The only foal who didn't moan, raised his hoof and said eagerly "I could fi it Ms. Cheerilee!" As his eyes glistened with hops of finding his special talent. "Are you sure Clockwork? It's gears seem to be stuck, and I'm not sure you can fix it." Cheerilee said, looking a bit confused as to why Clockwork offered his help. "Of course I know how to fix it! I've been studying the mechanisms of clocks since I was 5, and learned how to fix broken clocks when i was 6, I've got this!" Clockwork said, as he flew up to get the clock, then brought it down to his desk. Clockwork opened the back panel, and began to fix the gears, and said a couple of times "OK, you go here.... You over here... You're not supposed to be here, silly gear!" And finally, after several minutes, fixed the clock to brand new condition. "Done! also, i took the liberty of making the clock correct now, no worries!" Clockwork said, putting the clock back in it's original place. All the foals cheered for Clockwork, then the school day officially began. It started off with some math, then a history lesson, then reading, then language arts, then the school bell rang for lunch and recess. "Today's been boring! It's a good thing time flies when you're busy!" Clockwork thought, as he was walking outside for recess. Once outside, Clockwork looked around for some of the foals to hang out with, more precisely he was looking for Cloud Basher. Clockwork looked high(kind of) and low in search for the potential new friend, but he couldn't find Bash at first. It took some time, but Clockwork finally found Bash, who was resting on a cloud that was near ground level, and he was talking with three fillies, and decided to go talk to them. Once there, he recognized one of the fillies as the yellow filly he sat behind, Applebloom, and said "Hey, I'm Clockwork! You guys are?" An orange pegasus filly with a dark red and purple mane and tail said "I'm Scootaloo, and I'm gonna train to be like Rainbow Dash, the best flier in Equestria!" Then, a white unicorn filly, with a curly mane and tail, which were lilac and light purple, said to Clockwork "And I'm Sweetie Belle! I'm going to be a fashion designer like my sister Rarity!" as she said this, she raised one hoof into the air. "And Ah'm Applebloom! Ah'm gonna do anything that doesn't involve anything with working on mah family's farm!" the yellow filly with the red mane and tail, the mane being held by a giant red bow, said, hoisting her hoof into the air. "And I," Cloud Basher began "Am Cloud Basher, just call me Bash! Also," Bash continued "I'm Sweetie Belle's stallionfriend, so don't do anything I won't like to, or WITH her!" Bash said, pounding his hooves together. "Understood! So, are you guys a group or something?" Clockwork asked. "Yep, we're th' Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Applebloom said "Wanna join?" Clockwork stood there for a moment, thinking "Hmm, they seem like awesome ponies, but I think my special talent is fixing clocks.... Wait, that is my special talent!" As he thought this, his eyes grew and began to sparkle, then a flash from his flanks revealed his cutie mark to be a clock and hammer! "Huh, YES!" Clockwork exclaimed "I finally did it! Whoohoo!" He continued, jumping up and down. "Wow, you got your cutie mark! What's it mean though?" Scootaloo asked, looking at the colt's flank "Can you build clocks or something?" "Nope," Clockwork said "I can repair them like that! Remember how well I did with the clock inside?" "Yeah, but we didn' think that ya'd get yer cutie mark right then 'nd there!" Applebloom said, and began to think "Why does 'e seem so familiar.... Have Ah met 'im before?" but this was interrupted, as the school bell rang for the class to go back inside. "Come on, we gotta get back inside er Ms. Cheerilee'll be madder than a bull seein' red!" Applebloom said, as she ran towards the school house, with the rest of the crusaders, and Bash and Clockwork following her. Memories are fun.Earlier that day... Derpy arrived at the house, and began to work at her usual cashier spot, where she'd been working at ever since she not only married Time Turner, but moved in with him! The day had begun slow, and gradually got even more boring then the nine months of being pregnant with her son. At one point, Octavia had come in, and bought a new clock, but that was almost the highlight of the day for Derpy. After another of hour of waiting, it was time for Derpy and Time Turner to switch places for the rest of the day. Even for Time Turner, running the clock shop had gotten incredibly boring that day. For him, and probably Derpy, Time Turner thought, this is was the highlight of the day... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was an hour after Derpy and Time Turner switched places with one another, and a customer had come in. Now, this customer was filthy rich! In fact, it was Filthy Rich himself! "Oh, Mr. Rich! How can I help you today!?" Turner asked, wondering what could the richest stallion in Ponyville could be doing in Turner's shop. "Well, I'm here to purchase a tower clock." Filthy said "You know, a grandfather clock? Have you got one for sale today?" Filthy Rich asked, looking around the shop in search of the clock he was seeking. "Oh yes!" Turner said, then went to a grandfather clock in a glass case, and opened it and put the clock on a wheeled board, then rolled it over to Filthy Rich "This is the only one in stock I'm afraid, but it works like a charm!" Filthy studied the grandfather clock and said "I'll take it my friend! How much is it?" Time Turner studied the clock a bit more, determining age, the wood used to make it(mahogany) and the actual price he placed on it. "Hmm, well this is a 1898 mahogany grandfather clock, so....." Turner began, crunching numbers in his head "Yes, the clock is worth 1,560 bits! Nothing that you can't pay for!" Time Turner said, hoping the stallion would buy the clock. It took sometime, but Filthy Rich said to Time Turner "I'll take it! First, let me get my check book out, and then I'll pay for the clock!" "YES!" Turner shouted.... on the inside, he knew he needed to stay professional in front a very fancy pony like Filthy Rich, especially Filthy's daughter, Diamond Tiara. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later.... It was the middle of the day, and Time Turner finished his lunch, after closing the clock shop early, and decided to do his chores he needed to do. "OK," Turner began "I need to clean the bathroom, living room, and attic today. Great..." Turner complained to himself. It felt like ages, but he finally finished cleaning the bathroom, and only after, oh, 2 hours. Turner looked at his watch, and noticed that it was close to the end of the school day, and the weekend drew closer(basically, today is Friday in this part of the story.) "Well, better start cleaning the living room...." Turner said, as he trotted down the stairs. "Turner, I'm going to pick up Clockwork from school then head to the market!" Derpy said, as she was heading out the door. It took him even longer to clean the living room! Turner looked at his watch once more, and noticed it took him 4 hours to clean the living room! "Ugh! Come on!" Turner said "Well, at least the attic doesn't have much in there." Turner said, as he went up the stairs to clean the attic. Once inside, Turner noticed a giant blanket over a square looking box, that made a weird sound when he approached it. Turner, curious as to what was underneath for him to clean, took the giant blanket off, and couldn't believe what he saw. Turner dropped the blanket, and what stood before him was a blue police box. "Is it... really you?" He asked the blue box. He caressed his right hoof on the door of the police box. He opened the door, and was amazed at what he saw. "It is you!" Turner said, looking inside, marveling the giant room inside the police box "The TARDIS! It's really you! I can't believe it! I thought that I got rid of you YEARS ago when-!.... When my son was born..." Time Turner said, realizing what he'd be doing by using the blue box once more. Instead of going against the promise he made to his wife, Turner closed the blue box, chained it up, and threw the blanket over the thing! He knew he couldn't go inside, or even see the TARDIS, he forbade himself from doing so, and he hadn't seen it for so long, he though he got rid of it! Turner couldn't clean the attic knowing that he still held the TARDIS in his house/office. He went downstairs, and was met by Derpy, who said "Hey, I'm back from the market! I brought home some dinner too! Hope you'll enjoy it!" as she went inside the kitchen, but where was Clockwork? "Honey, did you leave Clockwork back at the market by accident again?" Turner asked, worried about where his time loving son was. "Oh no, he got invited to his friends' group, and even got incited over to their place, so I let him go there to spend the night!" Derpy explained "Clockwork will be back tomorrow though, I promise!" Derpy continued, pulling out her and Time Turner's dinners. For Turner, a veggie burger with a lot of hay fries, and for Derpy, a bowl of tulip salad, her favorite meal! The two took their food to the living room, and started to watch their favorite move together. To be honest, for Turner and Derpy, the movie was actually pretty nice. A movie about a stallion and his marefriend moving to two separate ends of Equestria, only to find one another at the Grand Galloping Gala without knowing of the other's invitation, to Derpy and Time Turner, it was the perfect movie for one another. After the movie, they just started watching bad TV as their own little joke for one another. After some hilarious clips in "Equestria's home videos" Derpy leaned closed to Turner and said "You know, this will be our first night without Clockwork in the house. You wanna do something nice tonight, in the bedroom?" looking seductively(to Time Turner at least) towards the stallion. Turner looked back at the mare, wearing his own seductive looking(to Derpy at least) grin, implicating 'You bet your fine ass I do!' though he wouldn't say it aloud, for no reason what so ever, and muzzled his wife on top of her head. "So, shall we shag now, or shag later?" Turner asked, smiling at his beautiful wife. Derpy looked back at her husband, hugged him for a quick moment, then said after letting go and heading up the stairs half-way then stopping "Shag now, Timey Whimey" then continued her ascent up the wooden stair case.
The Prologue."Mares and gentlecolts, your graduating class of 2004, of the university of Manehattan!" The dean of the previously stated university said, allowing the graduates to stand up and throw their caps in the air.
