Where's Lyra?
"Still reading mythology, your highness?" came a British accented voice that came from a lovely young woman.
Her dark purple curls surrounded her white, pretty face that showed big, dark blue eyes. Those eyes were looking at a young man with blonde hair, leaning over a book.
"Hm? Oh, yes Rarity. Actually, it's the only interesting thing in this entire library." the Prince sighed. He rolled his eyes to look at Rarity, and blinked. "What are you wearing?"
"Oh, you noticed!" she said, batting her eyelashes. "Why I just made it today out of the finest of silk, and see how it shimmers? you see it is quite rare and the combination of the colors were simply-"
"Yes, yes. Thank you. Now was there any particular reason you came to bother me?" the Prince sighed.
"Well," she huffed, tossing her curls aside. "Captain Dash had me come to remind you that your cruise is ready." she narrowed her eyes slightly while mumbling, "Though I don't know why she'd want to remind you."
"Thank you, Rarity. I shall be there in a moment." the Prince sighed. Rarity curtsied and left the room, muttering of how he couldn't have noticed the marvelous details of her gown.

"So, without further ado, my group will present it project." said a lavender alicorn, turning to the taller, pale pink alicorn who nodded.
"Go ahead, Twilight."
Twilight cleared her throat, and showed her a portrait of a human.
"Ever since my trip to that other world, my group has begun studies of these creatures, known as 'humans'. I have gather only the best. Now, Doctor Hooves will start us off by some basics. Doctor."
"Thank you, majesty." Dr. Hooves said, coming up in the front of the room.
He looked to see all the ponies that had gathered for this class, hoping to hear the tale of Twilight's adventure. "From the information Twilight has given us, and by studying our books, we have learned that...."
He gave a lecture about humans, about their lives, how their body works, and all that stuff. After about forty-five minutes or so, he finally announced:
"Now Lyra Heartstrings will give us a demonstration on how humans work. Miss Lyra."
Everypony waited for the minty green unicorn to step up. She didn't.
"Umm.... Lyra...." still, nopony came. After a few callouts, and a few ponies looking for her, he turned red and growled. "That mare....."

"Bonbon, lookie here!" exclaimed Lyra, pulling out a baby blue shirt with puffy sleeves. "It's a shirt- the one Twilight wore when she went to that world!" she placed it down carefully and got her camera, taking pictures.
"Uh.... yeah..... um.... Lyra, do you think this is such a good idea?" Bonbon asked, nervously looking around. "I mean, this is where the Princesses come and do important studies, and ever so rarely do other ponies come here!"
"Oh don't be a chicken." Lyra said, grinning, looking further into the chest of items. "We are just.... investigating."
"Sneaking is what you mean." Bonbon replied, frowning.
"No... we're just looking around....."
"In black suits with our faces covered? Yeah, that's sneaking."
"Naw- hey, lookie here!"
"What is it?" Bonbon asked, trotting quickly to her.
"It's a.. a..."
"A boot."
"Not just any boot." Lyra said, almost annoyed. "Look at it- it look weird, right?"
"Um..... yeah....."
"How can you be like this when we are discovering some of the most amazing things about amazing creatures!" Lyra announced.
"Shhh, not so loud!" Bonbon hissed.
"Listen, it looks weird because human feet- what they call the bottom parts of their hind legs- fit here. They have something called 'toes' that go like this."
Her hoof traced along the boot footing where the toes were shaped. She snapped a couple more photos.
"Wow... that's-"
"Hey, you two!' came a gruff voice. They turned their heads to see a big guard, standing at the door way.
"Uh oh.... run!" Lyra called out, grabbing Bonbon's hoof and dragging her quickly out of the room.
"Get back here you troublemakers!" yelled the guard as he chased them.
The two ran swiftly through the halls. Lyra's camera bounced against her chest as she ran swiftly with Bonbon close behind.
"Bonbon, hold on to me. I know how to teleport some." she called to her friend.
"Some?!"
"As in we won't go very far, c'mon!" she grabbed Bonbon once more, and lit up her horn.
Soon, they found themselves outside in the Canterlot Square. "Keep running. To the hotel- but get yours masks off so nopony will suspect us."
As they ran through the streets, they took their masks off, revealing their faces. Soon they made it to their hotel they stayed at, and went to their rooms.
Quickly getting out of their black outfits and hiding them in bags, they leaned against the wall, in relief.
"That was way to close." Bonbon said, looking at Lyra with a sweaty face.
"Yeah at least we got some pictures!"
"I hope Doctor Hooves will be happy."
"Doctor Hooves....? Oh no! The human lecture with the princess!"
"That was toady?!"
"Yes, oh I forgot! Doc's gonna kill me! I have to get going!" Lyra grabbed her saddlebag, hid her camra in it, and dashed out the door.

Oh yeah, just to make things clear so certain somebodies don't get upset...
I do NOT own The Little Mermaid story, and this was based off the Disney movie which was based off the book.
Nor do I own Mlp. Okie. There.
Lyra slowed down her pace as she entered the Canterlot Square once more.
One reason was because royal guards were searching for her- well they didn't know it was her. For it wasn't the first time she had sneaked in to see all the things Twilight brought back from the human world.
The other reason, to tried. All that running wore her out, so she casually walked near the alleyways, avoiding contact with the guards. She figured since she was already late, there wasn't a reason to run. It wouldn't make a difference.
What she didn't see, were the two pair of glowing, narrowed, green eyes that followed her cautiously and quietly in the dark alleys. Soon, green magic came from where a unicorn's horn would be.
The magic was acting like a camera, recording her every move. The display of the 'recording' was playing in another location, a little far off from Canterlot. The watcher chuckled, peering into the trotting figure.
"Yes.... my dear. Better hurry, or your little friends and princesses will be upset."
The figure stepped into a light, revealing a turquois mane, and black body. "But that's just like Celestia, isn't it? Always worried about little things..... And it was my advantage when I was in Canterlot."
The evil mare brushed some of her mane aside,while smiling. "However.... since I am no longer welcomed there, this little mare can be a perfect instrument to reaching that portal. You two," she suddenly barked at the two figures following Lyra. "Keep an eye on this little unicorn. We need her if we want to go to that other world."
"Yes..... Queen Chrysalis." The followers said in unison.

Later on, Lyra was being lectured by Twilight.
"Lyra, do you know how embarrassing it is when your group is up in front of a huge class- with Princess Celestia there- saying their the best, top-notch, right-on-the-money group about the study of humans and the main researcher doesn't arrive until the end of the program?"
"Sorry, Twilight. I forgot that was today because I was still researching with Bonbon." Lyra responded dryly.
" Still researching! You said you were done, so that's why we planned this!"
"Well...... nothing we can do about it now."
"Lyra. This is the forth time you've been late. We didn't mind so much when it wasn't a big lecture like this. But this.... it's unacceptable."
"Oh, c'mon Twilight! I was so caught up that I totally forgot. I can try to re-schedule!"
"You can't just 're-schedule.' Ponies may think the same thing will happen and not come."
"Please! One more chance!"
Twilight looked at her for a moment, then sighed. She shook her head as she folded her wings.
"Fine. One more, but that's it."
"Thanks Twilight!" Lyra said, grinning. She trotted out the door and headed to her hotel room.
"Three minutes everypony! Get ready!" called out a backstage pegasus, fluttering over the cast.
Lyra Heartstring almost danced with excitement. Finally- a play about humans! The very life source she'd been studying about and dreaming about is being put in a play that everypony wants to see!
"Hi, Lyra. You seem excited." came a familiar, friendly voice. She turned to see the newly princess, Twilight Sparkle smiling at her.
"Oh yes, yes, yes!! I just can't wait! A play about humans- and I'm the lead role!" she said, nearly squeaking. "And because of your trip to the other world, we now have an idea how those creatures act and look like! Omigosh hey, hey, next time it opens, can you take me? Huh? Huh? Can you?"
Twilight smiled and shook her head.
"We'll have to see. The portal won't open for another 29 moons. But, I'll see what I can do."
"Hey, if you can convince you-know-who to be the villain in the play, you can anything." Lyra said, grinning. Twilight rubbed the back of her neck, as her wings flapped a couple of times nervously.
"Yeah...... I'm surprised it worked..... but who could have done a better job? After all she is under the threat of being killed-on-sight if she makes any movements of trying to take over...."
"True....also for that new trick for making ponies look like humans is so awesome! By the way... who's playing the prince?"
Before Twilight could respond, the backstage pegasus called out:
"Places everypony!"
Lyra squeed and practically bounced to her spot near the curtain. It was time.
