Ophiocordyceps Pestilentia. A fungal infection that spells doom to all changelings contaminated to a tormented existence, has finally been discovered on the borders of Equestria. Leaving many to fear what may come of this outbreak.
The Fungal Infection arrived in the Everfree Forest 25 years ago. Changelings had been dumping their infected, doomed to die compatriots for who knows how long. It only took one to saunter out of the trees and expose the populous to the horrors of Ophiocordyceps. But the changeling's close physiological structure to the equines allowed the fungus to do the unimaginable.
It's been over 24 years since Patches moved from Ponyville to Canterlot, his parents running from the plague with his brother and himself in tow.
