Terror in Equestria 5: A Thousand Years Later

The afternoon that Luna and Cosmos arrived, Colgate rounded up all of her recruits.  The Cutie Mark Crusaders, Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, Lyra, Rarity and all of her friends headed to Colgate's black tower to get measured for their armor.  Rarity was ecstatic that she was finally going to get to do what she loves to do so much again, measure ponies for apparel.

Rarity asked, "Colgate, who measured you for your armor since I wasn't here?"

Colgate replied, "The blacksmith, Steel Hooves, measured me.  It was something he wasn't used to but he did a perfect job on it though.  However, he is no longer alive but his great-great-great... well you get it, grandson Steel Mane will be making them.  Our armor will be made out of steel as will our helmets.  The distance around the base of your horns will have to be measured as well so the hole for your horn will be just right.  Don't worry, they will be made so that your wings will fit through perfectly as well."

Scootaloo asked, "Wow, you want everything to be perfect with this, don't you?"

Colgate replied, "Of course I do Scootaloo!  I want us to fight the battle in comfortable armor!"

Rarity asked, "So Colgate, when do you want me to start measuring everypony?"

Colgate replied, "Now.  Alright everypony, go into the throne room so Rarity can measure you.  I am going to go let Steel Mane know that later today there will be an order placed for 14 suits of armor and 14 soldier helmets."

Babs asked, "So how much is this going to cost?"

Colgate replied, "Don't worry about it.  He is the blacksmith for the army so this won't cost anypony anything."

Fluttershy shouted, "YAY!"

Colgate said, "Wow Fluttershy, you must be getting determined to do this."

Fluttershy got a determined look on her face and shouted, "HAY YEAH I AM!  I'M NOT GOING TO LET HER OPPRESS US OR ANYPONY ELSE!"

Rainbow Dash said, "Wow Fluttershy, except for when you took Iron Will's assertiveness course and became Brevity Thrash, I've never seen you like this!"

Fluttershy replied, "Well I don't want her oppressing anypony, whether it be here in Equestria or anywhere else in the world."

Colgate smiled and said, "That is the spirit I want out of everypony, do you guys have it?"

Big Macintosh said, "Eeyep!"

Everypony else shouted, "HAY YEAH WE HAVE IT!"

Colgate said, "Alright everypony, follow Rarity into the throne room while I head over to see Steel Mane."

While everypony else headed into the throne room to be measured by Rarity, Colgate headed over to Steel Mane's shop.  When she entered she was greeted by him.

"Hi Colgate, what brings you in today?  Does somepony in your military need new armor?" asked Steel Mane

Colgate replied, "Well I have 14 new soldiers that I will need armor made for.  All of them are Alicorns, so the helmets will need holes for the horns."

Steel Mane asked, "When will you be able to get the measurements to me or will I be measuring them?"

Colgate replied, "One of my new soldiers used to work in a fashion boutique so she is measuring them.  She is also measuring the distance around the base of their horns as well.  There will be 14 total needed."

Steel Mane asked, "Would it be ok if I had a couple of my apprentices help me out with this.  It would take a while if I do it alone.  If they help me, it will take 3 days, if I have to do it alone, it will take 2 weeks."

Colgate replied, "It is fine if you have your apprentices help you.  I am sure they are just as good as you are and we need this done within a few days.  I will have the measurements to you late this afternoon."

Steel Mane said, "Well I close up shop at six, so just get them to me before then."

Colgate replied, "Will do."

Colgate arrived up in the throne room right as Rarity was finishing measuring the last pony.  She went over and asked Rarity if she had written the measurements for each suit of armor and the size of hole for each helmet.

Rarity said, "Yes, I do.  I even wrote the names of each pony next to them."

Colgate replied, "This is spectacular.  I am going to take this list and get it down to Steel Hooves.  I will be back."

Colgate flew down to Steel Mane's shop and said, "Steel Mane, here are the measurements.  The name of each pony is next to their measurements."

Steel Mane asked, "Is one of them a stallion?"

Colgate replied, "Yes.  Why do you ask?"

Steel Mane said "I asked because one of the suits of armor you are requesting is larger than the others.  Don't worry, I am going to go get my apprentices and we will get started on all of these right away."

Colgate replied, "Thank you!  All of us really appreciate this!"

Colgate flew back up to the throne room to address everypony.  She said, "Alright troops, Steel Mane and his apprentices are going to get to work on these right away.  He said that they should be ready in three days.  I want us to rest for the rest of the day and then tomorrow after breakfast we will start fine tuning our power and levitation skills."

Sweetie Belle asked, "So how long will it be before they leave Faustica and come here?"

Colgate replied, "I was watching all of this yesterday and they said it would be two weeks.  That means that they will be here in 13 days.  That will be more than enough time for us to fine tune our battle skills and we should have our armor and helmets in three days.  So we will be perfectly ready for them."

Rarity asked, "What are you going to do with Twilight and Celestia?"

Colgate began to laugh and said, "Initially I wanted to kill Twilight and eat her heart but I thought of something much better.  Her and Celestia have not only made up but they are growing very close.  They are starting to act more like mother and daughter.  I was thinking that Luna could banish Celestia to the sun and I would banish Twilight to the void.  Then mama Celestia and baby Twily wouldn't see each other ever again!"

Rainbow Dash laughed, "Oh Colgate, that would be hilarious!"

Colgate continued, "I have watched from afar and Celestia is always referring to Twilight as 'her Twily' which to me means she views Twilight as a daughter again.  This mother/daughter pair will fight hard for one another but we will fight harder.  We will bring down the alleged dark goddess and her puppet."

The next day arrived and after breakfast they all headed down to the target range.  Colgate said, "Alright, along with all of you, I also will be taking part in these exercises.  With there being 15 of us, this may take us all day or it may even extend into tomorrow.  I have decided that each pony will do both exercises at once.  Who wants to go first?"

Rarity raised her hoof and said, "I want to go first."

Colgate replied, "Alright Rarity, give it your best shot."

Colgate was not expecting much out of Rarity but much to her surprise Rarity levitated the rock to a height of 60 feet and held it there for three minutes effortlessly.

Colgate asked, "Rarity, were you feeling any sort of stress while holding that boulder up at that height?"

Rarity replied, "No, not at all.  It felt more like I was levitating some ribbon."

This thrilled Colgate.  She was ecstatic to see how much Rarity improved.  She said, "Alright, let's do the target and energy exercise next."

Rarity headed over to the target area and fired three bolts of energy at the targets.  She scored direct hits and put out quite a bit of energy into them.  Colgate flew down to the other end of the range and was stunned by what she saw.

She smiled at Rarity and said, "Wow Rarity, you put three times more power into this than Twilight ever did!  I am so proud of you!"

Rarity flew down to the other end of the range where her and Colgate did a hoofbump and in unison they shouted, "BOOYAH!"

Rarity's friends saw this and began to realize that Rarity was starting to become more like them.  She was starting to lose the elegant, sophisticated part of her and was becoming your normal, everyday pony like everypony else in Ponyville.  This made all of them happy.

Colgate asked, "Who wants to go next?"

Sweetie Belle started shouting, "Pick me, pick me!"

Colgate replied, "Alright Sweetie Belle, give it your best shot!"

Sweetie Belle had the same performance that Rarity had on both the levitating test and the accuracy/energy test.  Colgate flew down to the end of the range and said, "Wow Sweetie Belle, you and Rarity did the exact same!  You two are doing spectacular!"

Next up was Big Macintosh.  He was easily able to levitate the rock to a height of over 100 feet and his power and accuracy were equal to Colgate's.

Colgate shouted, "Wow Big Mac!  Your energy is equal to mine!  You'll be able to take them out for sure!"

Big Mac replied, "Eeyep!"

Everypony else went through and had similar results to Big Mac and Colgate.  Finally it was time for Princess Luna and King Cosmos to test their skills.

King Cosmos was next.  He was able to levitate the rock to a height of over 250 feet and held it there until Colgate told him to put it down.  Next he did the accuracy/power test.  He hit all three targets and put in twice as much power as Colgate did.  Colgate thought to herself, "Good thing he is loyal to us, or we would be in serious trouble."

Colgate said, "Wow Cosmos, you did spectacular.  You levitation skills are spectacular, you have perfect accuracy and your power is beyond great.  You will fry our enemies for sure!"

"Thanks Colgate," said Cosmos "I know we will win this."

Finally it was Luna's turn.  Luna was ready to prove herself as the most powerful pony of them all.  Luna levitated the rock to a height of over 400 feet and held it there for five minutes, it was effortless for her.  Next she did the accuracy/power test.  She fired her energy, she hit all three targets and incinerated all three of them.  When Colgate saw this, her jaw dropped open.

Colgate said, "Wow Luna, you did spectacular!  Let's just say I'm glad that I have extra targets here!"

Scootaloo asked, "How did we all do today?"

Colgate replied, "Well let's just say that if the battle were today, you would all be ready and easily defeat our enemy.  Let's keep working on our skills though.  Twilight is bringing a dragon with her.  It will take a lot of power and accuracy to fire a sharp metal pole into that tiny bare spot on his chest and a lot of power to get that far enough in him that it will penetrate his heart."

Everypony shouted, "WOOHOO!  TEAM COLGATE ROCKS!"

Colgate stood there and blushed.  She then said, "Alright everypony.  It has been a long day.  Let's go and have a filling supper."

Everypony headed up to the dining hall where they had a huge supper to fill their bellies after a long day of training.  They would have several more days of this as Colgate wanted to make sure her recruits were ready for the battle that would not only decide the fate of Equestria, but the entire planet.
