The skies were passing by and the shadows were moving around the landscape. The sun was driving the darkness back in the east and the water in the rivers was shining bright like crystals. The strange animals was running around and the unfamiliar plants was reaching for the sun while devouring insects.

“Everyone hold!”

“Dude wake up” The words distracted my mind and I looked over at Eclipse. “Come on the commander told us to hold”

I stopped walking and started looking around, I looked back on all of the other rows in the formation of our team. The commander came walking around and stood in front of the three long rows. “Everyone! Welcome to The Chaos Lands!”

The Chaos Lands, the greatest fear of all of the pony race, The land with the terrible tribes of darkness, the caves of horrors and many other horrible terrors. But that is not why we are here I thought to myself. We are sent to back up the Hurricane legion of the Pegasus at Storm Keep.

“Remember no fear! You are strong! You are the three proud legions of the Unicorn Nation! Forget your training! This is just as much survival as it is war! Storm keep is only two days away! We march there now! Everyone forward!” I slowly started walking again and Eclipse whispered to me “Don’t worry we are going to get through this”

We marched all day and the darkness slowly started to eat away the light and it became night. I can not keep walking like this. I started to see a ruin of a keep in the horizon and I knew that we were going to set up camp for the night there.

I walked through the remains of the gates and I took a look around. Ruined the walls, old armor and weapons was lying around and standing in stands. Bones and old blood on the ground and on the walls. This was once FrostMourne Keep kept by the Frostborn squad of the Earth ponies. But something happened to them.

Me and Eclipse got up our little tent and got a little fire going and then went to the gathering place in the middle of the ruin to get food and water handed out.

The flames were crackling in the big fire in the middle of our camp. It cast shadows all over the ruin and the soldiers. The food did not look like food one bit and it did not taste very well. But if you wanted power for the march the next they you had to eat. The water tasted crystal clear and was very refreshing. “This food taste like crap” “Well you are just not used to it, Eclipse. But you have to admit that the water has a very clear and nice taste” “Yeah I guess, Do you want to take a quick stroll around the ruin before we get some sleep” “Sure”

We left the others and took a turn into what used to be the big conference chamber in the keep. When we walked in there was another soldier standing in the room looking at one of the armor stands that had a big suit of armor with a big sword in its hooves. But he did not seem to notice us.

Eclipse started talking” This must have been the conference room, the...” I was trying to listen to what he was saying, but something in the edge of my eye kept bothering me. It was like every time I was focusing on Eclipse there was something in the background near the other soldier there was flickering, but I could not quite see what. “And it most have taken ages…” I completely stopped trying to listen to Eclipse and focused on the soldier in the background. He was standing with his back to the armor stand and... wait it was looking like the armor on the stand was animating itself. A big dark fog appeared in the armor, the fog looked like a stallion. Suddenly the armor parts started moving and it raised the sword above the soldiers head and...

The sword fell. It was like everything was going in slow motion. The flickering silver tinted sword continued through the air and separated the soldier in two. The blood flew through the air shining and reflecting the little light that was in the room. Eclipse quickly stopped talking and turned around and when he saw what was happening he swiftly drew his sword and as he charged towards the armor he yelled something to me. But I was not listening. The only thing I could see was horrible terror. The blade slowly dropping and then finally hit the top of soldier’s head and separated him in two.

I started getting back to reality. I could see Eclipse fighting the armor. I shouted “We need help over here, pony down, I repeat pony down” and then I drew my trustful sword and charged towards the armor. As I was charging towards the armor, it got a nice hit in on Eclipse with its fist and sent him flying back through the room. I lifted the sword above my head and stroke the armor. But the armor was to quick and quickly blocked my sword. The blades was lashed together and I was pressing the sword against its has much as I could, but I could not overpower it. Then I looked up, into the dark fog in the helmet and In the fog i saw the horror and terror this creature had committed. I saw it slaughter the Frostborn warriors and lay waist to the keep. In the confusion I lost my grip and the fog proceeded to break its sword free and lash it put against me. It caved a big cut in my right arm and then its other arm flew up and punched me in the stomach and send me stumbling a few meters back. I was lying on my back confused and I could feel the fear as the fog slowly came walking towards me, until it was standing right in front of me. It raised its big and shining sword. I closed my eyes and thought “This is it”

But suddenly Eclipse charged in and pushed the fog out of the way and started fighting it again. I slowly came on my feet, but when I looked up at Eclipse, I saw the fog take hold of his sword and lash it away and then the fog picked him up by the neck and then just..., pierce the sword right through him. I felt the fear and terror again, but this time I also felt rage. As Eclipse slowly fell of the sword, I picked up my sword and in my rage charged towards the armor and I put my sword right through its chest plate and the fog made a terrible sound. I could hear other voices now coming towards the room. The fog started to lighten up and then it exploded in a burst of light, while the armor crumbled to dust. I ran over to Eclipse and tried to understand him, he was saying something. Suddenly the door blew open and two soldiers was standing there, but I did not notice. The blood was all over him, but he kept trying to say something but I suddenly started to understand it. “You… you have to get back to he..r”. He started to cough up blood but continued, “You have to.. get back to Twilight, you... have to Shining Armor”
