//-------------------------------------------------------// Resonance -by Bina sow- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// New Roomate //-------------------------------------------------------// New Roomate After Twilight Sparkle left Sunset Shimmer in the new land she’s grown to call home, everything changed. For the better of course. She left physically but mentally, she never left the teen’s mind. No matter what she tried to all felt useless. She was the only being that truly wanted to forgive and forget her past. Although the pony-turned-human left her newly acquired friends to her care, they showed obvious signs of distrust for her, deep down they must still dislike her. Though she wouldn’t blame them herself, she would hate herself if it weren’t for the fact that she’s all she has now. What a monster she’d hear them say in her mind. She turned into a literal monster, a real turned monster that would stop at nothing to win. That wasn’t me. I wouldn’t resort to death, I wasn’t a monster. Sunset shimmer would try to console herself when she would hear Twilight’s voice in her mind. Hello? Is someone here? Calling for attention, calling for someone to hear her. Hello? I’m here for that application for a new roommate. No, I swear I can hear her.   “Y...yes?” she stuttered from the impulse her body had to keep her from responding to the voice. To not egg on the temptations to continue in her insanity, to respond and expect a different response. “I’m here, miss…”  she held a politeness tone in her voice in case she’s wrong and this is a voice belonging to someone. In case she is there. I turn the corner that separated the hall and the living room. “Twilight, Twilight sparkle,” she finished the sun pony’s statement.  What stands before her is Twilight Sparkle that, whom she quickly noted, looked different from how she looked last I saw her. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail that reached her mid-back, the red-ish pink and purple highlights thankfully still there and visible; her eyes adorned with the biggest glasses Sunset has ever seen, she wore a loose fitting shirt that overlapped her curves hiding them and loosely fitted pants. For a while as she stared at her, Sunset Shimmer couldn’t say anything, she just looked at her speechless. “So, am I too late to apply?" she added on after moments of silence and the awkward staring. "Oh," Sunset snapped out of my state of confusion. Twilight Sparkle sighed and began to remove her glasses resting them on the neck of her shirt, "It is her!" the red and yellow haired teen exclaimed without a moment of hesitation expecting this to be the pony version that knows her. "Come again?" The Twilight look-alike said raising a brow. "Oh nothing, I just recognized you as another but you are clearly not her, please just forget I said a thing." Twilight sighed and shrugged going along with Sunset’s request with ignoring what she just said. "If you... say so..." she said pausing in confusion. "Well I just moved back to this town from Canterlot and found that everything is different. You wouldn't mind showing me around would you?" She asked looking away from the other, her violet eyes resting on the floor beside her. Sunset could only nod in reply, only half listening, as her mind focused on the similarities and differences she had to the Twilight she knew. "Thank you!” "You must be tired, you should head off to bed," She said wanting to end the comfortableness that rose from the look-alike’s presence. Twilight stared at Sunset, her violet eyes examining her closely as if she had asked her a personal question in which Twilight decides on whether to trust her with the answer or not. "Oh yes... Thank you," she sighed and shrugged her shoulders pushing aside a train of thought held in her mind as she examined the other. "We will talk about my contract and rent when I wake." she said as she walked away. "Although I'd prefer this to be done now..." she mumbled letting her words trail off as she turned into the hall. "It's the second door on the left, the first is the bathroom," Sunset called out loud enough for her to hear, receiving a 'thank you' in response. What am I thinking, she thought to herself I don't even know the original Twilight. How stupid of me... But I can't help but wonder if she met the human me I expelled into the pony world Equestria. "No, of course she couldn't, and even if she did she is a princess and that me is just a unicorn. Nothing special! Gah, stupid Twilight treating me like that!" Sunset Shimmer got so caught up with how she imagined Twilight to treat her human counterpart that she imagined it to the point of believing it happened despite not even knowing if it's true. It wasn't until an odd noise that caught her attention did she realize she was just being silly.
