Lyra and Bon Bon

It was a bright and sunny morning in ponyville.The birds were singing,the air was crisp and fresh,and a scream could be heard from the hospital.A very,very loud scream.

The scream belonged to Claire Heartstrings.A mare who was currently,screaming in agony and trying to give birth to her first foal.Harpen,the father was pacing worriedly in the waiting room.Scared outta his wits.Suddenly,there was the sound of little Lyra Heartstrings screaming as loud as her mother.Crying out to the world for the first time.Harpen walked into the room,caustically as if he was walking into the room of a hungry beast.Claire was holding a small bundle,looking at it with as much love as she did to him when they made it.As Harpen came closer Claire looked up and smiled as she saw him.Handing him the bundle she said"Its a filly.I'snt she lovely?"

"Yes she looks like you.My love."

It was true she had her mothers aqua coat,and her mothers split hair half white half a light silvery blue.But,she had her fathers bright orange eyes and was a unicorn witch her mom was not.Lyra burped and wailed wanting the soothing hooves of her mother.Harpen gave rhe filly back to her mother."What should we name her?" she asked as the foal cooed in her hooves.

"I've always liked the name Lyra."said her father.

"Lyra?"

"Yes,Lyra."

"Aww I wanted to name her Minty Fresh."

"You can na,e the next one Minty Fresh."

Claire snorted "Fine you win.Lyra it is."

And thats how Lyra(Almost Minty) Heartstrings came to be.
