Equestria Girls: One Step Closer

Pounding music filled the air, as spotlights and streamers filled the sky with bright colors. The music was so lively there wasn’t a single person seated at the wooden tables set up in Scootaloo’s backyard, which were filled to the brim with a buffet put together by pretty much everyone except Scootaloo’s mother. Scootaloo had barred her from bringing anything besides the cake that stood as the centerpiece to it all. Nobody needed to suffer her mother’s cooking at her very special eighteenth birthday party, after all.

What a party it was, too. Pinkie Pie had really outdone herself. Scootaloo’s spacious backyard had been transformed into a dance studio, complete with Vinyl Scratch herself positioned behind a pair of speakers at least as tall as the birthday girl. The sound they were putting out was crystal clear and had everybody within earshot moving their bodies to the beat, just how Scootaloo had wanted it. No boring sit-downs and chit-chats for this birthday girl.

“Eeep!” A shriek split the air over the sound of the music, drawing all eyes to where Sweetie Belle was darting away from the dance floor, leaving a confused-looking Rumble standing with a glass in each hand and a deep blush on his cheeks.

“Um… sorry?” Rumble grumbled helplessly.

“Hah! Chill out dude, I’ll go get her.” Scootaloo couldn’t help a snicker as she jogged away from the dance floor, where everyone else was going back to moving with the beat.

She found Sweetie Belle sitting on the front porch with her knees pulled up to her chest and a deep blush on her cheeks.

“What the heck was that?” Scootaloo sat beside her.

“He offered me a drink…” Sweetie Belle coughed.

“Whoa… good thing he didn’t ask you to dance, you might have exploded.” Scootaloo couldn’t stop a cackle from escaping her throat.

Sweetie Belle’s blush deepened. “D-do you… think he was going to?”

“Well you’ll never find out if you keep running away from him,” Scootaloo snickered. “Come on, if you like him just talk to him already. What can it hurt?”

“My heart?”

“Well… okay, yeah, that can happen. Still, if he turns out to be totally into you too, you’ll only be happier.” Scootaloo grinned as a soft blush lit up her cheeks. “It worked for me after all.”

“Yeah?” Sweetie Belle lit up. “You never did tell us how you got together with Rainbow Dash.”

“Oh yeah, I guess I didn’t, huh? Well there’s not a lot to tell, it just took me a while to get her to say yes. She was really nervous about the whole thing, with me being so young and all, but I wouldn’t give up! I asked her out again and again and again!”

“Wow, and she finally said yes?”

Scootaloo crossed her arms over her chest in satisfaction. “Uh-huh. She said she was impressed by my guts and agreed to give it a try. We haven’t looked back since.”

Sweetie Belle giggled. “Not exactly a fairy tale romance…”

“Nah, it’s way better than a fairy tale. It’s real.” Scootaloo winked. “Wasn’t always real… I just went after what I wanted and made it real!”

“Hmm…” Sweetie Belle pursed her lips in deep thought. “You think I could… make my fairy tale real too?”

“Don’t see any reason you couldn’t.” Scootaloo slapped a hand on Sweetie Belle’s back encouragingly. “Just go back there and talk to him!”

Sweetie Belle took a deep, determined breath. “You’re right… Tonight’s the night I’m going to-”

“Scootaloo!” Her mother, Sky Shine, yelled from the gate that opened into the back yard. “Come on, it’s time to open your presents!”

“Oh!” Scootaloo leapt to her feet. “Or maybe talk to him later, you have to watch me open presents now!”

Sweetie Belle giggled and stood up with her. “Alright, it’s a deal!”

Scootaloo hurried into the back yard with Sky Shine and Sweetie Belle right behind her, making a straight line toward the table full of presents. There was a wide chair sitting right beside the table, on which Scootaloo sat as the presents would be handed to her one-by-one, like a queen on her throne being showered with gifts by her peasants. Pinkie Pie sure did know how to make a birthday girl feel special.

Apple Bloom approached first with a friendly smile, holding out a small box in one hand. “Here, it ain’t much…”

“Aw, that’s alright!” Scootaloo snatched the package from her and ripped it open, finding several guitar picks rattling loose inside a small cardboard box. “Nice! A learning guitarist can never have enough of these!”

“If you cleaned your room more often you wouldn’t lose them so fast.” Sky Shine coughed. “Just saying...”

“Harumph…” Scootaloo grumped as Rumble approached with his own present.

“A new helmet! Awesome! The other one cracked pretty bad after that last wipeout…”

The line moved along swiftly. Sweetie Belle, Snips, Snails, Pinkie Pie, Twist, Featherweight, and Button Mash all lined up to drop their presents at her royal feet. Her haul included a new DVD of My Little Pony, which Sweetie Belle received a death glare over, but she shrugged it off with a bright smile. Scootaloo also got several new shirts with silly sayings on them, her favorite of which was one that said “I Am Now 20% Cooler”. For some reason that really made her smile.

Conspicuously bringing up the rear was Rainbow Dash, who was clutching a long rectangular package against her chest with a sly, but eager grin. “This one’s from both me and your mom, and it’s kinda heavy, so be careful.”

“And please don’t drop it.” Sky Shine agreed with a furious nod.

“Oh come on, I don’t drop things.” Scootaloo dropped her other presents to the ground to pull the large package into her arms. “Ooof! Whoa, you weren’t kidding! Let’s see…” Sticking her tongue out in focus, Scootaloo managed to rip the paper back from the package without dropping it, revealing a very promising, and familiar, picture on the long box.

“Oh my God… is this… the Scootadash!?” Scootaloo looked up in shock.

“You know it.” Rainbow Dash winked.

“You’re not getting a car, and two wheels are better than none.” Sky Shine chuckled. “Happy birthday, sweetie.”

“Awesome!” Scootaloo leapt from her throne with her new prize, immediately kneeling down to rip the box to shreds in her haste. Her friends all gathered around in a small huddle while Rainbow Dash and Apple Bloom moved in to help her remove the vehicle from its box.

They set the folded metal frame on the paved porch, where Scootaloo kicked the back tire, and the scooter popped open with a buzz of electricity. Several lights on the bottom flared to life, flashing brightly in the darkness that was just beginning to approach. Scootaloo took in the appreciative, jealous murmurs of her friends as she stepped on the scooter, officially claiming it as her own.

“Aaaahhhhh! This is the best gift ever! The first motorized scooter that can go over 40 miles per hour!” Scootaloo squealed in delight.

“And if I ever see you step on it again without full padding, it’s getting melted down,” Sky Shine reminded her.

“Heh… right, right…” Scootaloo jerked her foot off of it in a hurry. “Probably need to plug it in for a while first anyway.”

“Mmhmm.” Her mother pulled the Scootadash away from her with a wry smirk. “I’ll do just that while you go play with all the friends you invited to play with you, rather than watch you fawn over your new toy.”

“It’s not a toy, it’s a vehicle…” Scootaloo grumbled. A few chuckles and giggles emanated from the gathered crowd. “Oh whatever! Come on everyone! It’s time for cake!” Scootaloo threw her arms into the air, to a chorus of cheers from her small crowd of friends.

The party didn’t last much longer, despite the shot of energy from the sugar-filled cake. One-by-one the guests excused themselves to head home, until the only ones left in the backyard were Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Rainbow Dash, and Sky Shine. Pinkie and Vinyl were still working on cleaning up their party supplies, but the guests had already mostly vacated.

“This was so much fun, Scootaloo! Thanks for inviting us!” Sweetie Belle wrapped Scootaloo in an enthusiastic hug.

“Hah, what, was I not gonna invite you guys?” Scootaloo hugged back tightly for a moment before letting go. “Forget about it, I didn’t even need to invite you, you know I want you here.”

Sweetie Belle giggled. “Maybe, but it’s still nice to be invited.”

“Gosh Scoots, you’re practically a grown-up now.” Apple Bloom looked Scootaloo up and down with an appraising eye. “You’re eighteen, you got a serious girlfriend, and you got wheels. Sweetie and I have some serious catchin’ up to do. Too bad our birthdays ain’t for months…”

“Yeah, well…” Scootaloo trailed off, looking across the lawn to where Rainbow Dash was chatting with Sky Shine as they cleaned the plated off the long picnic table. “Yeah…”

Sweetie Belle let out another giggle as she followed Scootaloo’s gaze. “I hope I can find a special somebody like that too… someone I just can’t take my eyes off of.”

Scootaloo blinked, feeling her cheeks grow hot. “Well you’re still gonna ask Rumble out, aren’t you?”

“Yeah, but I’m not naïve enough to think we’ll be this close right away.”

“You… think Rainbow and I are that close?”

“Well yeah… even the way you’re looking at her, it’s almost like you’re married already.”

“Well…” Scootaloo sighed wistfully, feeling her cheeks only growing hotter. “I love her…”

“Whoa!” Apple Bloom gasped. “She actually said the L word…!”

Sweetie Belle grinned and gave her a wink. “Then we’ll let you finish off the party without us getting in the way. Come on Apple Bloom.”

“Huh? Wha?” By the time Scootaloo blinked her head clear and looked away from Rainbow Dash, her two best friends had already reached the side gate to make their way out front, leaving Scootaloo alone in the yard with Rainbow Dash and her mother.

Rainbow Dash set her stack of plates on top of the plates Sky Shine was holding. “You sure you don’t want help with those?”

“No thank you, I think I can handle a few dishes.” Sky Shine shook her head with a quick glance towards Scootaloo. “You can take care of something else of mine that’s more important.”

“Heh… will do.” Rainbow replied with a lazy salute, turning to face Scootaloo as she approached. “Well hey there birthday girl, you feeling goo-MPH!” Rainbow was silenced when Scootaloo threw her arms around her, pulling her into a close, tight kiss that didn’t break for almost a full minute. “I’ll take that as a yes…”

“You better.” Scootaloo grinned. “Thank you so much for the present! I’ve wanted the Scootadash for weeks! How did you convince mom to get it for me?”

“I told her how much you wanted it.” Rainbow Dash winked as she wrapped Scootaloo comfortably in her arms. “I also paid for half of it.”

Scootaloo’s eyes widened. “Seriously!? Isn’t it over a thousand dollars…!?”

Rainbow Dash winked. “Eh… worth it.”

“Rainbow Dash…” Scootaloo felt like she was trembling. “Damn… I… I hardly…”

“Hey, come on, you don’t gotta get all sappy.” Rainbow Dash chuckled and gripped her shoulder with one powerful hand. “You’re welcome.”

“Heh…” Scootaloo took a deep breath to calm herself down, wiping at her eyes. “Right, right.”

“Well, it’s getting kinda late. I think I’m gonna head home, I have some intense soccer practice tomorrow. Big game coming up.” Rainbow Dash pulled Scootaloo into a gentler kiss on the lips. “You gonna be there?”

Scootaloo smiled brightly. “Yeah, of course. I don’t have any plans.”

“Awesome. See you then.” With a parting wink Rainbow Dash turned to head toward the side gate, leaving Scootaloo watching after her with a goofy smile on her lips.

“I love her…” Scootaloo repeated to herself giddily. After six months of dating, she’d never thought to say that… now that she had though; she didn’t know how she could doubt the truth in it. She loved Rainbow Dash… and it was wonderful.

___

Scootaloo gasped and jolted awake at the sound of her cell phone playing the tune of “Rainbow in the Dark” from the nightstand by her pillow. Her room was still pitch black save for the pale moonlight filtering in through the thin shades that hung in front of her window. The clock sitting beside her phone was showing the time as only two AM in the morning. She didn’t care though. That song only played when one person called.

Scootaloo snatched the phone off the nightstand to lift it to her ear. “Rainbow Dash?”

Rainbow’s voice on the other end was shaky and unsure, though there was an audible relief in it too. “Scootaloo…”

“You had another nightmare, didn’t you?” Scootaloo sighed softly.

The nightmares that had been keeping Rainbow Dash awake were less frequent than they had been in the week leading up to her passing out for twelve hours straight, now that Sunset Shimmer was helping her with some mental exercises, and she could call Scootaloo any time she felt like she needed someone to talk to. Still, it was probably a long way to go before she was rid of them, or at least got rid of them enough to where she could deal with them alone.

“Yeah… yeah I did. Sorry to call so early…”

“Hey, don’t worry about it. I told you that you can call me any time, and I meant it.”

“Yeah, I guess.” Rainbow took a deep breath. “This one was just… really, really bad. I don’t think I’m getting back to sleep.”

“Hey, that’s okay. Why don’t you come over? We can talk for a while. It’s a weekend, so we can stay up as long as we want.”

“I don’t know… are you sure?”

“I wouldn’t say it if I wasn’t, dummy,” Scootaloo chuckled. “Come on, you sound like you really don’t want to be alone right now anyway.”

“Yeah… you’re right. Being alone does not sound good at all.”

“You can come right to my window, I’ll be waiting for you.”

“Yeah, sure. Thanks Scootaloo, I’ll be there in a couple of minutes.”

“See you.” Scootaloo hung up her phone with a yawn as she stood from her bed, flipped on the small table lamp on her nightstand, and made her way to the bathroom to use the toilet and clean up a bit. She left her tank top and boxers on though; she wasn’t worried about Rainbow Dash seeing her in her pajamas, and she didn’t have the energy to get dressed.

Clicking the bathroom light off, Scootaloo opened the bedroom window of her single-story home and sat on the edge of the bed to wait. There wasn’t even any wind out there, it was just a calm, relaxing night.

“Hey!” Rainbow Dash poked her head in through the window with a smile.

“Hey, you! Come on in, make yourself comfy.” Scootaloo patted the bed beside her.

Rainbow slipped in through the window easily, slipping past the drapes in a pair of loose sweat pants and a tank-top underneath her blue vest. Her bare feet hit the carpet with a light step. “You ever just go running in the night? It’s actually pretty awesome.”

“I’ll have to try that next chance I get.” Scootaloo smiled as Rainbow plopped down on the bed beside her with a relaxed sigh.

“Thanks for inviting me over, I feel a lot better having you as company.”

“Don’t mention it. I feel better having you around in general.” Scootaloo grinned and leaned back in her bed with her hands resting behind her head. “Thanks again for the Scootadash… that was just… absolutely amazing of you. I almost feel bad.”

Rainbow plopped onto her back on the bed beside her, grinning over at her. “I told you, don’t worry about it. It was totally worth it.”

Scootaloo returned her grin, then turned her gaze to the blank ceiling over her bed. The silence was comfortable, the silence of two people who could simply sit and enjoy each other’s company. No words even needed to pass between them, and yet Scootaloo felt like there was so much to say now. Her cheeks grew warm as she thought about what she really wanted to say. All she needed was the courage… but really, with Rainbow Dash, she knew there would be no bad response.

“I love you.”

There was silence for several moments. Scootaloo didn’t dare look, at Rainbow Dash. For a moment she was afraid she’d spoken out of turn, and gone too far.

Her worries melted away as Rainbow Dash leaned over her with a bright smile and a blush on her cheeks. “I love you too.” She leaned down to kiss Scootaloo softly on the lips, one arm wrapping around her in a tender hug. It was the longest kiss they’d ever shared, lingering natural and gentle between them.

By the time the kiss broke Scootaloo was breathing more deeply, staring up into Rainbow’s eyes with a deep gaze. “That was amazing…”

Rainbow was breathing heavily as well. “You got that right…”

Scootaloo hesitated for a moment. There was one thing she’d been wanting to bring up for a while now… but she’d never gotten up the nerve to. Now, though, she felt confident that she wouldn’t be shot down.

“R-Rainbow…?” Scootaloo smiled, holding her close. “Have you ever had… sex, before?”

“Sex?” Rainbow cocked her head curiously, then nodded with a soft smile. “Yeah, I have.”

“Really?” Scootaloo stared up in surprise. “With who?”

“Wanna hear about my first time huh?” Rainbow Dash moved over to the side again, sliding off of Scootaloo, but not moving very far. She ran the fingers of one hand over Scootaloo’s arm as she spoke. “It was with Blossomforth, from the soccer team.”

“Oh yeah?” Scootaloo grinned. “What happened?”

Rainbow chuckled. “Meh, it wasn’t anything too spectacular. We started dating when we were sixteen and after a while just… decided we were ready to do it.”

“I didn’t realize you dated for a while… why did you stop dating?”

Rainbow Dash grimaced. “She… told me one day she didn’t think she was actually gay. That she thought she was, but she was wrong.”

“Dang, that’s harsh…” Scootaloo winced. “Sorry…”

“Can’t complain too much… that’s kind of how I discovered I was gay. Had a boyfriend, made out with him a couple times. It was fun but… it didn’t really do anything for me, y’know? So I don’t hold a grudge or anything.”

“Mmmh…” Scootaloo stared into her girlfriend’s eyes, trembling slightly at the feeling of Rainbow’s fingers caressing her skin. “What did you do…? Did you do oral?”

“Mmhmm…” Rainbow Dash smiled. “Oral… fingering… that sort of thing.”

“You did it more than once?”

“Twice.”

“Whoa…” Scootaloo giggled.

“Your turn… how did you discover you were gay?” Rainbow asked.

“Me?” Scootaloo blushed, staring into her eyes. This was a moment for honesty, she felt. “I saw you…”

“Whoa…” Rainbow Dash blushed even deeper crimson. “I knew I was awesome but… dang…”

Scootaloo laughed. “Yeah, you are that awesome.”

“Thanks… you’re pretty awesome yourself…”

“Thanks…” Scootaloo couldn’t hide the grin on her lips, and the touch of eagerness in her voice. “I’ve wanted to talk about it for a while… but I dunno what stopped me…”

“Probably weren’t ready to.” Rainbow stroked her arm.

“But I’ve wanted to talk to you about it for a long time…”

“Wanting it and being ready for it aren’t the same thing, at least I don’t think so.”

“Rainbow Dash…” Scootaloo took a deep, steadying breath. “What would you think… if I said I wanted to have sex with you?”

Rainbow Dash didn’t look surprised, her eyes meeting Scootaloo’s and holding them fast. “I’d say I wanna do it too… but I wanna make sure you’re actually ready before we commit to anything.”

“How did you know you were ready?”

Rainbow chuckled. “Heck if I know.”

Scootaloo rolled her eyes. “Gee, thanks. That’s a valuable life-lesson I’ll carry with me forever.”

Rainbow laughed again and shook her head. “I wish I had the answers, but I don’t. Maybe someone smarter than me could tell you exactly what to watch out for, but for me… it was like I just knew… I was comfortable with it, y’know? I stopped being scared of it. I don’t know if it was because of Blossomforth, or if it was something that changed inside me… I just knew something felt different.”

“Well… to be honest it does make me a little nervous… but I’m not scared.”

“Well, being nervous is natural, I guess. Heck, I’m nervous too. Do you know what kind of pressure would be on me if we did have sex?”

“Pressure on you?” Scootaloo cocked her eyebrow curiously.

“Totally! I’m the one who’s done it before! If you have a really crappy first time, it’ll be all my fault.”

Scootaloo giggled. “Hah! Aw, come on Rainbow, I can’t see sex with you being crappy.”

“Well my first time sure was…” Rainbow Dash blushed nervously. “There was a lot of unsure poking and scratching…”

“Ewe, scratching?”

“Yeah… let’s just say we both learned the value of short fingernails that day.”

Scootaloo hissed through her teeth and crossed her legs at that. Only then did she feel the dampness growing between them. She was totally getting wet thinking about this… her body was plenty ready. She loved Rainbow Dash, trusted her like she trusted few people in her life. She knew Rainbow Dash would never hurt her… so what was stopping her from asking for it? The idea of Rainbow Dash taking her clothes off, right here and now… it only made her even wetter.

“Rainbow Dash…?” Scootaloo lifted one hand to Rainbow’s shoulder, stroking her skin with a soft touch. “I really wanna have sex with you… like… right now…”

“Yeah…?” Rainbow stared into her eyes, moving over closer to her again, until her torso was leaning over Scootaloo’s.

“Uh-huh… you’re making me real wet…”

“Yeah, I’m getting wet too…” Rainbow leaned down closer toward her, one hand gripping Scootaloo’s far shoulder. “I just wanna be sure you’re ready…”

“I really think I am… I’m not scared…” Scootaloo nodded up into her face.

“If you have any second thoughts at all… I want you to tell me, and we can stop right then and there. Okay?”

“Yeah, okay.” Scootaloo nodded. “I promise I will.”

“Good.” Rainbow Dash smiled and moved back, sitting up on the bed beside her to pull her blue jacket off and toss it to the floor beside the bed.

Scootaloo’s eyes widened slightly when she didn’t stop there, pulling her tank top off of her torso to reveal her modestly small, but well-shaped and firm bare breasts. Looking at her now it was obvious she was an athlete, with strongly-toned muscles evident from her biceps to her abs. The muscles continued down past her waist when the sweat pants moved down her legs, sliding down relatively thick legs made powerful from over a year of running and kicking.

Huh, Scootaloo thought to herself curiously. Rainbow Dash shaves.

“Something wrong?” Rainbow Dash sat beside her on the bed, sitting completely nude now with a nonchalant smile on her lips. “You don’t have to do this, remember.”

“I-I know…” Scootaloo sat up now on the bed. It was her turn to get ready, she supposed.

Her own body was pretty small compared to Rainbow Dash’s. Her breasts were only slightly smaller, but the rest of her was, at best, wiry and thin. She lacked all of the muscle and definition that made Rainbow look amazing, instead being all stiff, hard boney joints and a flat stomach without a single bit of definition at all. She hesitated even pulling her tank top off. Why would Rainbow want to have sex with her if she knew what Scootaloo really looked like? She didn’t even shave, having a somewhat-groomed bush of violet hair framing her slit.

As if sensing her hesitation, Rainbow’s hand took Scootaloo’s in a firm, comforting grip. “I know what you’re thinking… and you shouldn’t.” Rainbow pulled Scootaloo forward, her hands moving to Scootaloo’s shirt to pull it off of her body gently as their eyes met. “You look perfectly fine… amazing, in fact.” Her hands moved to Scootaloo’s boxers, pushing them down her legs until Scootaloo, too, was sitting nude on the bedsheets.

“My body’s nothing compared to yours…” Scootaloo blushed unsurely.

“Your body is perfect for you…” Rainbow smiled and brushed a thumb over Scootaloo’s chin. “And don’t let anyone tell you that there’s something wrong with it.”

“Y-yeah, that’s what everyone keeps saying… doesn’t mean anyone would choose me over Rarity, or Fluttershy…”

Rainbow Dash smiled. “I did.”

Scootaloo couldn’t stop herself from smiling back, feeling her cheeks grow hot at the compliment. Her cheeks grew hotter still as Rainbow Dash moved in closer to her, her arms circling around her torso to pull her into a close, intimate hug. Face to face, flesh to flesh, Scootaloo slipped her arms around Rainbow’s waist to pull them even closer. Her eyes looked across her girlfriend’s face, studying her deep, intense eyes, and her slightly-parted lips. It was Scootaloo who closed the small gap between them, pressing her lips firmly against Rainbow’s.

It was unlike any kiss they’d shared before. Rainbow’s tongue snaked its way between Scootaloo’s lips as she leaned forward to lay Scootaloo on her back on the thin bed-sheets. Scootaloo’s hands gripped Rainbow’s shoulders, stroking the bare flesh of her back. Her hands felt clammy, but Rainbow didn’t seem to care. Her own hands began exploring Scootaloo’s body, trailing pathways down her sides and along the outside of her thighs.

The more she felt of Rainbow’s body the more she wanted to feel. Rainbow’s body was every bit as firm and tough as it looked, with only the smallest pockets of fat to be found, and Scootaloo’s hands were searching very thoroughly. The only time she found a place on Rainbow’s body she could squeeze was when her palm slid to Rainbow’s chest to press firmly against her breast. The soft, cooing moan from Rainbow’s lips against hers was a satisfying reward.

Rainbow pushed forward, moving more directly on top of Scootaloo, with one leg slipping between Scootaloo’s, forcing them just slightly open. The cool evening air wafting against the dampness between her legs sent a small shiver through Scootaloo’s spine, but not an altogether unpleasant one. As she shifted Rainbow’s thigh brushed ever so softly against her most private region, rubbing up against her and sending a surge of pleasure through her.

“Oohhh… Rainbow…” Scootaloo moaned into her lover’s lips.

“I gotcha…” Rainbow whispered back softly, her lips kissing down her cheek and chin as one hand cupped Scootaloo’s breast now, rubbing the stiff mound there in her palm. “I’ll make sure you remember this as a great night…”

“Mmnnhhh… I already do…” Scootaloo grinned, running her hands over Rainbow’s back as the lips moved down Scootaloo’s collarbone, finding a place against the mounds of her breasts.

Scootaloo’s breath was coming deeper and harder the lower Rainbow went, her head bobbing against her body as her lips played across bare skin. A stiff grunt escaped Scootaloo’s throat when she felt a finger brush slowly up the center of her vagina, then back down and up again in a slow, rhythmic pattern. Scootaloo had masturbated before, a bunch of times… but there was something about being touched by someone else that was especially electrifying.

It felt like it was taking forever. Rainbow’s slow movement was almost agonizing, and every pass and touch of her fingers was against a slit that was wetter each time. Her lips trailed down the hair of her pelvis, moving dangerously close. Scootaloo felt her heart skip a beat. Sh-she was going to give Scootaloo oral sex… she’d never done anything like that before. The very thought of it made her head spin, in… excitement? Fear? What would it mean if she did? How would it feel? Did she really want that…?

What would Rainbow say if she stopped it…? Would she ruin the moment? Maybe she should just let it happen…

The first touch of a tongue against her slit was enough for Scootaloo. Both hands reached down, firmly but gently pushing Rainbow’s head back.

“Huh…? Scootaloo?” Rainbow Dash looked up in surprise.

“Please don’t… I don’t think I want that.” Scootaloo said in a quick, panting breath.

“Hey, whatever you say.” Rainbow Dash backed away from her, raising her hands out to her sides. She didn’t look angry, thankfully. If anything she looked concerned. “Tell me what you want me to do.”

Scootaloo blushed and beckoned her closer with her arms. “Keep… keep hugging me…”

“Sounds awesome.” Rainbow smiled and climbed onto the bed again, sliding comfortably up beside her to resume their deep kissing make out.

“Mmmh… and…stroke me… please…” Scootaloo moaned against her lips. “Just don’t… go inside…”

“Mmmm, even more awesome…” Rainbow moaned, her hand instantly moving down Scootaloo’s stomach, past the violet tuft of hair and straight down to the wet slit beyond, where her fingers pressed in just enough to split her apart, but not to enter.

They weren’t the fingers of an expert, but her experience over Scootaloo was obvious in her technique. She touched her in ways Scootaloo had never even considered before, but remained careful not to thrust inside. The moans that came from her throat were deeper and more guttural than ever, and she didn’t think she could stop them if she tried. The kisses being planted against her face, throat and chest only added to the sensations. Once Rainbow’s fingers moved to stroke the clitoris, Scootaloo felt like her heart would stop and never start again.

Scootaloo had no idea how long Rainbow Dash was working her over, paying loving attention to everything Scootaloo asked her to do, and not to do. Ultimately, Scootaloo had to fight back screams that would awaken her mother as the most intense orgasm she’d ever had in her life rocked her body. By the time it passed her body was quaking in the arms of her lover, which were holding her firmly, but tenderly in their embrace.

“I’m… not sure… does that… count as sex…?” Scootaloo asked with a blush.

“I have no idea… and I don’t care.” Rainbow planted an affectionate kiss on her forehead.

“Rainbow…” Scootaloo smiled up into her eyes. Scootaloo felt satisfied… but Rainbow’s flushed face and deep, stuttering breaths were signs that she had not been satisfied. Of course, how could she be? She’d put all her effort into pleasuring Scootaloo.

“Yeah…?” Rainbow smiled down at her, stroking her sweaty shoulder with one hand.

Without warning Scootaloo sat up and pushed Rainbow roughly back onto the bed with a thump, where she held her down with her hands on her shoulders.

“Whoa!” Rainbow gasped.

“Heee!” Scootaloo grinned proudly. “Tell me if I do anything that makes you uncomfortable…”

“Babe, nothing you can do will make me uncomfortable…” Rainbow Dash stroked the back of her head with one hand.

“Heh…” Scootaloo leaned down to give her another deep kiss, as her hands roamed down across Rainbow’s body, tracing the outlines of her muscles along her torso and thighs. She could tell Rainbow was worked up, so Scootaloo wasted little time sliding her finger across her thighs, down her smooth pelvis to run two fingers down the outside of her slit. Scootaloo was almost surprised how wet she already was after so little touching.

“Oohhh… uhnnn…” Rainbow squirmed on the sheets underneath her, her legs opening wider so that Scootaloo’s fingers could work cleanly away at her. Scootaloo had been afraid she wouldn’t be able to please the more experienced girl, but the sounds coming from her throat were definitely reassuring.

Her fingers did the best she knew how, moving in ways she knew pleased herself, and trying to emulate some of what Rainbow had done to her. Even as her fingers worked away at her moist intimacy, her lips also followed Rainbow’s example, running down from her lips across the flesh of her bare chest, letting them run up and down the mounds of her breasts. Rainbow’s moans were more subdued than Scootaloo’s own had been, but were no less needing and sensual.

It took Scootaloo significantly longer to bring Rainbow Dash to climax. Her somewhat clumsy poking and rubbing didn’t compare to someone who’d done it several times, but at last, as her fingers brushed rapidly over the moisture-slick clitoris, she saw and heard Rainbow Dash reach a squeaking, twitching orgasm under her touch. Because of her touch.

There was a swell of affection and pride in Scootaloo’s chest.

“Rainbow Dash…” Scootaloo grinned. “How did I do…?”

“Heh…” Rainbow gave her a cheeky grin. “Can’t say I’m complaining.”

“Heheee!” Scootaloo giggled and threw herself down into Rainbow’s arms, feeling them wrap around her to hold her securely against her bare body. They were both sweaty and smelled like Scootaloo didn’t know what, but she was in no hurry to get up and clean up.

“Was it what you hoped it would be?” Rainbow’s hand stroked Scootaloo’s shoulder idly.

Scootaloo rested her cheek against her lover’s shoulder, lying half-across her body. “It was better than I thought a first time could be, from some of the stories I’ve heard… thanks for being so understanding…”

“Hey, I’m never gonna ask you to do something you don’t wanna do.” Rainbow squeezed her in her arm. “I’ve been wanting to have sex with you for a while, to be honest…”

“Really…?” Scootaloo looked into her eyes in surprise.

“Yeah… but I wasn’t gonna push you into that either. So whatever you’re comfortable with… when you’re ready for it… I’m perfectly happy with that.”

Scootaloo leaned in to kiss her lips again more softly. “I love you, Rainbow Dash…”

“Love you too, Scootaloo.” Rainbow Dash kissed her back, then settled into the bed. Scootaloo reached down to grab her blankets, pulling them up over the two of them so they could settle in for some rest.

Scootaloo yawned. “Sweet dreams…”

“Heh… you know? I think I probably will.” Rainbow Dash was smiling as she closed her eyes, holding Scootaloo tightly up against her bare body under the blankets.

It really would be nice if she could have a good dream for a change, Scootaloo thought as she yawned one more time and closed her own eyes, settling down against Rainbow Dash to sleep the rest of the night away.

___

The morning sun shone through the curtains onto the bed as Scootaloo’s eyes half-opened after a deep, restful sleep. She could still feel the bare flesh under her, and the gentle rising and falling of Rainbow’s chest with her slow, steady breath. Despite the weeks of nightmares that had been plaguing her, Rainbow’s face looked serene in the soft morning light, a sight that brought a wistful smile to Scootaloo’s lips.

Scootaloo slid slowly over Rainbow’s torso to get in kissing range, planting a few light pecks around her lover’s lips. Rainbow’s lips opened almost reflexively for one more kiss before her eyes opened, giving Scootaloo a soft look.

“Mmm… good morning…” Rainbow smiled.

“You look like you slept well.”

“Yeah… better than I have in quite a while.” Rainbow held her tighter. “Thanks to you.”

“Heh…” Scootaloo blushed with a grin. “Glad I could give you good dreams for a change…”

“The best dreams…” Rainbow Dash pulled her into another kiss, which lingered on for several minutes.

At last the kiss broke and Rainbow Dash spoke with a wry smile. “I should probably get going before your mom walks in and cuts my head off.”

Scootaloo giggled. “Aw, come on. She totally likes you.”

“Yeah, probably not that much.” Rainbow sat up, her arm gently pushing Scootaloo away from her so she could move. Scootaloo laid back on her bed with a happy smile, gazing up at Rainbow with the blanket bunched down around her waist.

Rainbow moved to pull her sweat pants and tank top back on, snatching her blue jacket from where it had been thrown on the floor. “I’ll see you at soccer practice?”

“I’ll be there, babe.” Scootaloo waved with a grin. With one more parting wink, Rainbow slipped out the window into the twilight outside to make her way back home.

With a comfortable sigh Scootaloo looked at her ceiling, running her hands over her bare chest. Maybe she and Rainbow hadn’t done much… she still wasn’t even sure that would be called ‘sex’, really… but she was certainly satisfied. After all the times she’d seen on TV or overhearing at school girls looking back and regretting it, or saying it was terrible, or all kinds of things, she had to ask herself… was there anything she regretted about it?

“Nope,” she answered herself with a contented sigh. She was seeing the most wonderful girl in the world, who respected her body and her boundaries. What was there to regret about that? She felt closer to Rainbow than ever, and they would only get closer as time wore on.

This was just the first step, and they had plenty of time to take the rest together.

To Be Continued…?

Author's Note

If you're wondering why there's so many warnings surrounding this episode when it's clearly Rated M for Sex, it's because the other stories I've written are rated E or T, and I could see someone simply clicking on this story without looking at the rating. I wouldn't blame them if they did, so I want to make sure there's no way anyone stumbles onto anything they don't want to read.

I realize the message of this story is likely to get lost in the sexual nature of it, but the idea was a message about when/how to have sex. To put it more bluntly, that what you want, and what you are ready for, is the single most important factor in determining when/how to do it. If your partner wants to do something you don’t, and they try to get you to do it when you’re not comfortable with it, they do not love you. Period. It’s 100% up to your own discretion how you do it, or if you do it at all, and someone who truly does love you will respect these decisions, no matter what they are. Also, just because you're 18 doesn't mean you're ready for it. It's all up to YOU, nobody else.

I have to admit, I’m posting this with some hesitation. The idea of putting a moral quandary about sex within a sex scene itself seems almost contradictory. After all, morals are for children/teens, and sex is for adults, right? If there’s a sex scene with a message, doesn’t that mean it’s written for teenagers? Particularly in a story about teenagers, and more specifically, about a teenager being intimate for the first time. Reading it over again after I finished it, even I was a little weirded out. On the other hand, one of my least favorite parts about society IS this idea that sex is inherently dirty or shameful, that it can serve no purpose other than base animalistic pleasure.

Particularly in writing sex is often seen as something separate from a narrative, that provides no characterization or plot advancement. The presence of an actual sex scene, especially one with any detail, is considered “gratuitous” 100% of the time. I’ve always hated these rules, yet looking at this story I can’t help but feel I’ve done something wrong. As I heard said once, “indoctrination runs deep”, and I guess it’s just me being affected by the very parts of society I loathe. No person is an island, after all. Even if I do disagree with some views, they can have an effect on me.

Yes, this story was originally a part of the Equestria Girls series continuity, which means Scootaloo was fifteen. Which is why the fic has been so delayed despite being finished over a week ago. I respect the site's authority to not allow fics like this, however I do believe strongly in the message and the way it's presented. I would have had no problem changing Scootaloo's age that day if it wasn't already part of a continuity. In the end though, I feel that the message is more important than Scootaloo's age or being in continuity, so it's now a oneshot in which Scootaloo is 18.

Can it be reasonably assumed that these events are paralleled in Equestria Girls Series canon with differently aged characters? You may indeed assume that, I won't judge you.

As usual, thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy future stories as well.

Oh, and for the record, “Button Mash” was created by Jan from “AskTheCrusaders”. No disrespect intended, the character is awesome, and Jan did a fantastic job on him.
