Blood and Glory: An Old Legand
The Everfree an untamed wilderness was as quiet as a mouse excluding the hoots of owls. The silence was disrupted when an orb of blood red appeared in an open field. The orb spit out a single figure and shrank until it clasped on its self. The figure slowly got to its feet. It looked around and spotted its weapons.
Two Gladius Sword with chains attached to the bottom that were stained in blood. The figure walked over to it and picked it up. It also found bits and pieces of its armor. It took 2 minutes for it to gather all of its armor. The figure soon started to walk in a random direction and hoped to find some sigh of civilization.
It soon came upon a small pond. The figure bent over and scooped up some water and tried to put some through the small holes on its helmet. Only small amounts of the water got through but after a few scoops its thirst was quenched . It stared at its reflection and its saw what it's always seen. His helmet that was called Iron Block was fused to its head.
That helmet has haunted it all its life. It was a reminder of a past it wanted to forget. The woods came alive with the howls of timber wolves. They saw that a new prey has appeared and wanted to lick its bones clean. As they closed in the figure pulled out its weapon and prepared for blood.
As the sun warmed ponyville the ponies were just waking up. Twilight the town's librarian had got up early and was eating a bowl of oatmeal. When she was done she put the bowl in the sink and sat down and started to read. She just got done when she heard a knock at the door. She got up and walked over to see who it was.
She saw one of her friends Applejack at the door. She didn’t know why she was here. Applejack answered her by saying “Hey Twi I kind of need you for something”. Twilight did not want to be in another farm war.
“What do you want Applejack”.
“Well I need you to come with me on a school field trip”. Twilight put on a are you kidding me face. “Twi the trip needs 4 chaperones to go into the Everfree and well the kids parents don’t want to go because they don’t want their foals to see them cry”. Applejack put on her best pleading face and got on her knees. “And Rainbow Rarity will be going too so please Twi please”.
After Twilight went through her thought process she said “Ok I’ll go but you owe me”. Applejack was jumping for joy.
She ran to the door but not before saying “Meet me in front of the school ok”. Twilight packed some books , some apples , and called Spike down stairs.
“So Twi what are we doing today”. Spike had also packed a book he has been reading for the past few days.
“We’re going on a school trip for Applejack”.
Spike looked at her funny and asked “What's the catch”.
“The foal's parents don’t want their kids to see them cry because they are going into the Everfree.” Spike face went from calm to crazy.
After calming Spike down they both walked towards the Schoolhouse. When they got there they saw that there was a group of 10 foals including the CMC and Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity standing around. As they got closer Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity walked towards them. “So Twi what brings you here” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Well Applejack pleaded for me to come so the kids could go on this trip”. Rainbow Dash and Rarity stared at Applejack for a few seconds before joining the foals.
The teacher signaled the attention of everyone and said “Now since everypony is here we can start our trip”. Everyone followed the teacher into the Everfree. They talked about the trees, the animals, and about the history of the Everfree. They stopped in an opening to have some lunch. They talked with each other, played around and studied some of the plants.
As they packed up everyone heard metal hitting metal and grunts. The sounds soon started to get closer and closer. The foals cowered behind the teacher looking for some safety. The only foals that didn’t show much fear where the CMC. They thought they could get a cutie mark for defending everyone.
They didn’t expect that a large body was sent flying towards them. They ducked just in time as the body flew above them. They ran back to the cowering group and stayed there. The figure stood up and picked up its sword. What happened next shocked everyone.
They saw royal guards pour out of the woods and attack the creature. Their swords clashed against the creature’s and they tried to chain it. Even with all the backup the guards were getting beat down. When they tried to put the chains on the creature it slashed them and the guards had to retreat to a safe distance before trying again. As they huddled together to plan out their attack the creature took the time to rest a little before fighting again.
After a little while in the huddle the guards tried again to chain the creature again. This time they sent earth ponies to distract it. As they battle it Pegasi flew from behind and shot it with 2 sleeping darts. The guards started to cheer as the creature fell to its knees. As they walked over to it to chain it they were amazed as the creature started to stand up and shake off the sedatives.
Then the commander Shining Armor walked up and started to levitate the creature. Then the Shining Armor started to choke the creature to death. The choking noise was overcome by Twilight yelling “ Shining what are you doing”. Shining Armor dropped the creature on the ground with a thud. Shining then walked over to talk to his little sister.
“Twi that THING attacked and killed some town folk when they were out for a walk near the everfree and the body shows that they were killed by a sword.” Shining Armor was bent on killing the creature at any cost.
“Well maybe something in the Everfree killed them you didn’t think about that did you brother.” Twilight was also bent and saving the creature from death. Twilight and Shining Armor where in a heated debate on what to do with the creature and they didn’t notice a pack of diamond dogs sneaking up on them. Only the creature noticed that they were there. When they were close enough the creature threw one of its swords at them and it impaled one of the diamond dogs in the head.
Then the whole pack rushed them trying to take slaves. The creature pulled on his blade chain and rushed the incoming diamond dogs. When the creature picked out one he jumped and jammed both blades into the diamond dog's head. It then yanked them out threw one of his blades at one of the other ones and it looped around its neck. With one quick yank the dog's neck broke with a sickening noise.
2 down 3 to go. The creature then threw both blades at 2 of the remaining diamond dogs and it stuck them in the back. They fell to their knees and were howling in pain. Then the creature jumped over them and pulled on the chains and both of the diamond dog’s spines came through their chests. The last diamond dog was holding one of the little foals with a blade to its neck.
The creature looked for an opening to attack and saw that the diamond dog’s leg was open. He threw one of the blades at the diamond dog’s leg and the diamond dog dropped the foal and clutched its leg. The creature then yanked the diamond dog towards itself and stabbed it with the second blade. Then it let some slack on the chains and started to spin. Once it reached a good speed it launched the diamond dog straight up into the air.
Then it started to spin both blades super fast and then threw them at the falling diamond dog. The blades sliced through the dogs leaving 5 parts of its body still falling. The creature then looked at the ponies and smirked under its helmet. It then walked over to them and gargled “So lets talk”.
