Astrous, a shadow-tracer, is one of a long forgotten race that predecended the Alicorns. They call themselves
'Spectrum' and were the original rulers of Equestria. As a spectrum, and a shadow-tracer, it is his job to protect the creatures of the world from physical manifestations of fear, evil, and greed.

For the past years since Luna's return from the moon, something has been disrupting the night, and she cannot see what it is, so she takes it upon herself to shed some (moon)light on the situation. But will she find what she was expecting, or more?

Celestia often reminices of her parents, but after the discorvey of an old scrapbook hidden in the back of the Royal Library, she finds herself remembering the rather unique friends they had. Beings that appeared to have no solid form, made from pure energy and magic. What are they, and does the appearence of similar creatures mean?

As events fall into place, emotions will blossom, mysteries will be revealed, and resolves will be strengthened. Or shattered. Will Equestria survive the coming storm, or will it be washed away in a deluge of chaos?
