Octavia, a 22-year-old cellist, has a past that she cannot forget, causing her many problems in her everyday life and career. She hides away in her basement, sometimes for days on end, making phenomenal string instruments that seem to be all the rage in Canterlot. One night, while Octavia goes out to gather more supplies, a rather excited white unicorn bumps into her. Octavia follows the mare to a high-class club where she is faced with the DJ and grows a rather unhealthy obsession over. They create a friendship, but for just how long will this friendship last before Vinyl finds out the awful truth lurking closely behind her friend.
